Sunday Morning Religion

Sorry if your recent comment disappeared. I had a massive Christian (!) spam attack overnight, and had to burn a few of the innocent along with the guilty. God will recognise his own, doubtless.

I am at a loss as to why even the most eager evangelical could think deluging a site with spam references to verses in John is going to convert anybody. Very strange.

Was there anything you said or did to prompt the attack ? I'm lost as to why...

Was my "whore of Babylon" riding a Trojan horse?

It sounds like an unbalanced person mixed up with fundamentalist christianity, who makes a superstitious use of religious texts. Two references that may be worth mentioning are the late James Barr's classic "Fundamentalism" and the shorter "Escaping from fundamentalism" - the second was written for people who felt that fundamentalism had become a prison from which they needed to escape. It may be a little while before the spammer you mentioned reaches that point.

Perhaps this comment touched a nerve.

change the record, why don't you?

has just mentioned your recent book, which I've just started to read in full. You ask who owned Sandline and why Penfold was in cahoots with Spicer.
Wouldn't the most logical answer be that within government there is a body with access to taxpayers' money possibly excise/VAT duty which secretly funds such operations, arms for resources and so on
