The Amazing Disappearing Craig Murray – and David Tennant

by craig on February 14, 2010 11:11 pm in The Book

Murder in Samarkand without Craig Murray would be like Hamlet without the Prince. In both cases the absence of David Tennant would be a definite shame.

UPDATE: The BBC have now added David Tennany to the cast list.

I’ve e-mailed the BBC about it. I think others here have too.

Sidebar here just so you’ll pick up on it, Craig. I was monitoring Truthout and noted this

Does it cheer you any to think that the UK may not have the worst government but that there is a contest ?

At least the BBC are starting to run trailers for the play.

I heard one on Radio 4 just before the start of the Today programme.

Presumably they will also run them when people are awake.

You can get into seeing conspiracy theories everywhere but this is just weird. Typo or something more sinister???

    Valentine’s Day Massacres -

Murder in Al Ameriya in 1991

    Murder in Marjah in 2010

Felicity Arbuthnot who reported from Iraq during the period of the sanctions has written this piece which makes a link between the Massacre of the people inside the Al Ameriya shelter in Iraq in 1991 and the 12 deaths in Afghanistan yesterday at the start of Operation Mushtarak (mushtarak = together.

Her original piece about the Ameriya shelter killings is on the link at the end of the article.

Shame on all the warmongers. Kill kill kill. When will we have some peace?

As I write there is some hideous reporter from Sky News standing outside the MOD saying it has been a textbook operation and the last thing McCrystal wanted was this error in ‘targeting’.

Just this second heard a trail for the play on Radio 4. Sounds good, if a little dramatic (unless, of course, the original events were dramatic…). Looking forward to it.

Aye, looks like the BBC ‘mistake’ has been rectified. Glad Craig and David exist again on the cast list. I heard the trailer at 5pm… sounds good

Yes. It’s corrected now. Though they haven’t corrected the spelling of Uzbekestan [sic].
