  1. the US propaganda apparatus seems to be inciting muslims.

  2. As for the desecrators of Afghan corpses, I see that two and possibly four are identified as snipers, that word again, from an outfit in N Carolina. ‘Camp Lejeune, North Carolina – a major military base. US media reported that the unit belonged to the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment.’
    .
Apparently, the desecration is quite a common practice but not normally filmed.
    .
The other day I read of this psychopath,Glen Kyle, another ‘sniper’ who has written a book called American Sniper. Should sell well in Amerika.

    .
There is even a league table of snipers.

  3. Tariq Ali: “Urinating on the dead is bad enough, but what of those who do it on the living? ”

    .
It’s now official. Urinating on dead insurgents, the US Marine Corps informs the world, is ‘not consistent with its core values’. I think we need a list of non-core values as soon as possible. Pissing on the dead is considered loathsome in most cultures, but clearly can be a morale-booster for demoralised troops in an occupied country where the war is going badly for western civilisation. What better way to assert civilisational values against the barbarians and win local hearts and minds? And why stop here? The next stage surely is to excrete on them and use their beards as toilet paper. That would enhance the value of the videos and might even win the innovators the Santorum Prize for Moral Superiority.
    .
Urinating on the dead is bad enough, but what of those who do it on the living? One of the earlier complaints in this regard came from Gitmo (happy 10th birthday dear) prisoners who alleged that their guards pissed on them from above and that some of the drops fell not just on them, but the Korans they were reading. At the time nobody thought fit to say that such acts ‘were not consistent with core values’. Limited progress has been made. Why the employees of imperial powers feel obliged to act in such a way requires psychiatric investigation. During the British occupation of India it was common practice for British police officers to order their men (who included Muslims, Sikhs and ‘low-caste’ Hindus) to unbutton themselves and let fly at non-violent Gandhian protesters occupying railway tracks to enforce a strike and non-co-operation call by the Congress Party. Nobody talked about core values at that time. Most Indians knew what they were.

It is long, but here is a quote:
    .
“Rank these items in terms of the disgust you think they merit:
    .
    * The systematic destruction of a series of nations and their peoples over a period of many decades.

    * The murder of more than a million innocent people in a criminal war.
    .
    * The ongoing murders of people who do not (and most commonly could not) threaten the U.S., in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, and on and on and on — in 120 countries around the globe.
    .
    * The claim that the U.S. Government has the “right” to murder anyone in the world for whatever reason it chooses — a “right,” I remind you, which the U.S. Government has actualized.
    .
    * Pissing on three dead bodies.
    .
We refuse to speak about the first four items, but the guardians of our culture insist that they are sickened and outraged by the last one.”
    .
To clarify, he is American, writing about Americans (‘We’).

  5. I wonder where America is in the league table of international opinion?
Horror after horror. These “soldiers” betray the values America, ahem, supposedly, stands for. They act more like mall-rats who’ve been press-ganged into service as a result of America’s plundering of her own economy by her own so-called elites.Probably gorged on power-burgers,steroids,violent computer games and extreme porn. Then sent to foreign lands to go berserk in the name of “freedom and democracy”.
    It makes me sick.

  6. We all know militaries dehumanise people. With these barbarians the US Marines didn’t have too much work to do. How many more are there who have not been filmed? It emerged in the Wuterich trial (Haditha Massacre) yesterday that the US perpetrators urinated on the innocent victims, including children, after murdering them. Is it part of the training?

  7. Our standards of ultimate evil have been calibrated by the despicable actions of the Nazi in Germany circa WWII, for the duration of the two decades these were in power. Among the many bench marks of Nazi evil; the documented incarcerations without trials, of masses of people, as well as the burning of the books have been recanted over and again.
    ,
Given that, in our times the US et al under the directions of the zionist neocon are killing those whom write books, as in the case of Iranian lecturers and scientists, as well as the existence of black prisons that are denied to exits, in addition to the plethora of the concentration camps; Gitmo, Bagram, Gaza, West Bank, etc. and the horrific facts concerning the renditions program.
    ,
Is it not time to recalibrate our standards of ultimate evil, seeing as the US and toadies have surpassed the degrees of barbarism and lawlessness, to the extent of rendering obsolete our outdated bench marks of ultimate evil set in the past?
    ,
What fucking excuses are to be found for the marines pissing on the dead corpses of young Afghan farmhands they have slaughtered? Although, some will advise; the dead Afghans loved ones ought to be grateful that the marauding barbarians did not mutilate the bodies of the “kill” for the sake of trophies and keep sakes.

  8. I do like the way it is often uncritically reported that the dead Afghans are all Taliban fighters. Presumably they were shot for having a Wheelbarrow of Mass Destruction?
    .
Still, I find it a bit difficult to get wound up about this particular video. Bad things, far worse than this, happen in wars; yet it’s the people who start wars who disregard this reality, so when one sees the likes of Hillary Clinton so piously condemning the urinators, that I find a whole lot more nauseating. These things happen as a direct consequence of decisions taken by the likes of Ms Clinton, and she must know that herself.

  9. Steve Bell nailed it this morning. Satirical cartooning at its finest.

I find it interesting that the dead have been described as Taliban even though the American spokesman has yet to authenticate the video.
Most likely these were innocent farmers that the Yankee heroes shot for fun.

  12. Slightly off tangent but,,,,,,,,,,I once said that I thought it was possible that the state of Israel had been set up by Rothschild with a view to creating a flashpoint area for future conflict in the Middle East, with a view to profiting from war as Rothchild and Co have done on previous occasions and also as a way of weakening that area to make it easy for them to walk in and take control of the resources of that area. My logic in this was that as Rothschild and many other of these “Jewish” power brokers were Ashkenazi Jews and being not strictly genetic descendants of the original Jewish race in real biblical terms and also having made the conversion into the religion, I did not believe that they would seriously view themselves to be “biblically Jewish” and therefore would not logically believe that God had bestowed upon them the absolute right to occupy the region of Palestine. I still believe the logic of that argument is absolutely true, but also that the extreme Zionist movement that so obviously has control of the State of Israel, the majority of the worlds finance and the ever increasingly apparent control of the United States of America through which it influences and controls many other countries of the world, I believe they have established an insane belief of their chosen by God status and are working through influence of the USA to destroy/weaken the surrounding countries of Israel in the middle east to secure their position and increase it to a level of dominance in that area. The USA is totally dancing to the tune of Israel, whilst Israel is setting up operation Cast Lead 2 which will obviously bring about the slaughter of more innocent Palestinians and can be viewed as nothing more than yet another act of genocide, whilst Israel continues to provoke the Iranian government and people, the recent assassination of the Iranian scientist there is no doubt in my mind they were behind, whilst these insane Zionist extremists continue to do their best to provoke conflict the mighty USA sails part of its military fleet into that region and Obama continues to make soothing statements of US support for the security of Israel in that region, acts on the part of the USA that can be viewed as nothing more than encouragement and support of the extreme Zionist movement and there actions. At this point no countries external of the middle east have any right being there, the extreme Zionist movement that so obviously controls Israel has no intention of seeking peace and stability in that area, it seeks political and military dominance over that region and is displaying nothing but the desire to establish that, the only right, just and moral decision at this point (should have been done many years ago) is for a complete withdrawal of all external influence from the middle east and to allow the middle east to resolve its own issues. To me this is the only way to establish a real balance of power in the middle east and bring about eventual peace, the State of Israel is a nuclear state which would to a great extent prevent all those countries around it that have developed a hatred of it through its bully boy actions in that region from ever truly attempting to destroy it, but at the same time without the comfort of the might of the USA behind Israel, even with its nuclear capability the State of Israel would have to face its own limitations in that region because even if it were to launch them, a country such as Iran even without a nuclear capability has the ability to raise it to dust with the 300 or so conventional missiles it possesses. Peace in that region will only be established through the withdrawal of support for Israel, without that support they will be forced into a position of stalemate and will have to negotiate. Finally I would say this also, I do not believe that the extreme Zionist movement is anywhere near a majority in the Israeli population, in effect the USA dancing to the tune of that minority extremist Zionist movement maintains its dominance over the majority who are not but live in the State of Israel. By withdrawing that support it will also bring about an internal situation in Israel that may just likely see that extreme Zionist control removed by the people of Israel themselves. This needs doing now and the USA should immediately withdraw its war machine and support for Israel, if it does not then American and coalition forces peoples who become embroiled will be dying for a cause that that I truly believe is the creation of a small but ultra powerful Zionist Extremist movement.

  13. Marines are trained to be efficient killer-cogs in a roving killing machine, a juggernaut that rolls acoss the world, “taking out” bad guys. The Marine Corp isn’t a genteel, liberal, debating club, were young guys from the Midwest discuss the latest frontpage of the Guardian.

It’s necessary to dehumanize the enemy in order to legitimize acts of murder which would otherwise be called heinous crimes. The ace sniper, isn’t a homicidal maniac, mass-murderer, but magically is turned into a hero, by a sick society that’s the source of the culture of barbarism which typifies American society and its out-of-control military.

Babarism begins at home. The SS had their hands untied in the Ukraine and Poland, and this applies to the US military in Afghanistan. Not surprisingly an opnion poll carried out among US soldiers returned from Afghanistan found that at least one-third of them had never been told by their officers that they were obliged to treat Afghan civilians with respect and not abuse them in any way.

The rot doesn’t though come from the bottom, but from the top in an army like the Marine Corp. The lead comes from the politicians, another glaring example of Obama’s appalling human-rights stance, like slaughtering civilians in their hundreds in drone attacks and ordering the assassination of even American citizens with due process or any accountability to US or international law. And now he’s signed into law the “right” for the President to imprison American citizens, (this already applies to foreigners), for ever, without charge or trial.

This contempt for human life and the bodies of the dead, is just the tip of the iceberg. It symbolizes what the American military empire, which is about all they’ve got left, is doing to the entire world. They are pissing on the world.

And it’s not just a few bad apples, it’s the barrel that’s rotten.

  14. Dale,

I think that you vastly overestimate the historic power and significance of the Rothschilds, and I also think that it is simply not true that Zionists control the world’s finances. That zionists have very excessive political influence relates to a number of factors, including the profound psychological impact of holocaust guilt, the extraordinary political power of apocalyptic christians in the United States and indeed the determined organisation of zionist sections of the wealthy and successful Jewish community, and their willigness to put their money into “sponsoring” politicians, to put it politely.

But there is a rational analysis, and another one that posits cabals of evil jewish bankers led by the Rothschilds, who control pretty much everything. Dangerous nonsense. I met the then head (not sure if he still is around) of the whole Rothschild family, in Warsaw about 16 years ago. A very pleasant man, not fanatical about anything, including Israel.

  15. Arms salesman Cameron is creeping round the Saudi geriatrics today. Last year they spent £1.7bn with the UK on arms.

  16. Well Craig, firstly the Rothschilds certainly had a huge influence and were pretty much largely instrumental in the establishment of a State of Israel in Palestine and throughout time have made many considerable financial “charitable” donations that funded Israeli projects that were controversial and inflammatory to the Islamics in that region. They and their group of friends have funded and profited from many great ward in the world Secondly and I don`t mean to be offensive, but you consider that because you met a guy 16 years ago, spent a short while with him and he came across as pleasant and none fanatical about anything that you truly know the man and his inner working? Aaron Russo met Rockerfeller, found him to be a thoroughly nice and pleasant man, struck up a friendship, socialised and played golf with him and then one day when the true Rockerfeller emerged broke ties with him and did not like his thought process or behind the scenes agenda. I once knew a guy that in all sincerity I believed was a nice and amiable person, I had known him for many years when younger and continued to see him regularly in adulthood…… He was convicted of stabbing a woman over 40 times! Sincerely Craig, just because you once met a guy is absolutely no basis for even beginning to think you know him.

Have there actually been any indications that these thugs were ordered to do what they did by their superior commanders?
    .
Considering the grounds from where recruitment of US marines is made it is no surprise that some of these marines have had limited choice (either to join marine corps or join one of the gangs in their area). Of course they are provided some sort of training on moral principles and behaviour at war but those who have been at war know that although marines suppose to fight for their glorious country they actually fight for their own survival.
    .
The only indication whether these actions are related to the top American idealogy of this time is whether or not these thugs will be convicted for their immoral behaviour that is not actually benefiting American image. Although considering how religious Americans generally are it might become obvious that urinating on dead bodies is something that would sicken even the most Muslim-hating Americans.

  18. Craig,,,,, I knew a guy for many years, saw him on a regular basis and in all sincerity he was outwardly a very polite, pleasant and amiable person. He was convicted of stabbing a lady over 40 times. Just because you met a person 16 years ago and found him in the short period of time you had contact with him to be pleasant and not appear fanatical on anything does not man you knew him at all or that you have the faintest clue as to what kind of person he really was. The Rothschilds were certainly very instrumental in the establishment of the State of Israel in Palestine, they have made many large and very substantial financial donations to it, many of which went on to fund projects that were most certainly inflammatory to the Islamics in that area. People do not donate to causes unless they are both in support of and morally happy with them. It is also pretty much irrefutable that the Rothschild dynasty has funded a great deal of the wars on this planet and more importantly been perfectly happy to make vast profit from them, so lets not kid ourselves that they are in any way disturbed by the notion of wholesale slaughter because they are more than happy to profit from it…………….

  19. My ancestors, though to a far lesser extent, included an interesting, convinient, mutually profitable, mix of what one probably describe as Christian “soldiers of fortune”, though not so “Christian” that you would have noticed it, and “Jewish financiers”, though not so Jewish one would have noticed it; more importantly, they never let their backgrounds get in the way of their primary family characteristic which was a talent, if that’s the right word, for making money from the arms trade, though often the soldiering side got bit difficult, as they often found themselves on opposite sides. This culminated in WW1/WW2, (which I tend to see as one, long, war) when, if I remember correctly, various members found themselves participating on the German, Austrian, Russian, British, French, and American sides. This tends to make one rather cynical about war and its evil twin, nationalism. Which is probably why whenever I see a flag I see a futtering shroud as well… waiting.

  20. Throughout history soldiers and armies have behaved abominably, as individuals or collectively. But rarely do soldiers commit obvious crimes without the permission, tacit or otherwise of their superiors. An army would be given leave by their king to sack a town or city and rape and pillage at will. Even something like the Mai Lay massacre wasn’t unique, there were literally hundreds of Mai Lay’s, a result of the anti-guerrilla tactics employed by the US Army in Vietnam, condoned by the military leadership and ignored by the political leadership in Washington. Soldiers get away with what they are allowed to get away with by their commanders, the responsibility always goes upwards, and the orders come down. Though, as with the horrors of Abu Ghraib and the secret torture network, the politicians can always wash their hands and pretend they know nothing about it, that the results of the stuctures they put in place has nothing to do with them directly. Hitler would have made the same excuses.

  21. Good afternoon to you all, a forum some may be interested in following on the Wuterich Trial.

  22. @Dale – would you paragraph your posts? Quite hard to follow otherwise! It’s a bit broken here, so many people tend to put in return, dot, return to break things up a bit.
    .
    Like so :)

  23. Writeon,,,,,,, Totally agree with you on nationalism, I personally despise the notion that I have a belonging to anything other than being human and living on this planet. Nationalism is and always has been the one guaranteed switch that the power brokers have been able to flick in order to unite people into a cause regardless of how irrational and immoral that cause may fundamentally be. As far as power goes in this world and the players who participate in it goes, power is a layer layer cake and the further up you go in that cake the more influence you have over events that determine effect upon those that exist in the layers below you, right at the top of the cake are the few that through virtue of the power and influence they have, have the position to influence the main direction of the whole game that is being played all the way down the layers of the cake. The position at the top changes over time, one thing that is always sure as you climb up through the ranks of power is that at some point that power will be taken away from you by someone else, no person, political movement or power base of individuals will retain power forever, but they sure will create havoc, death and destruction on a huge level at the top of the layer cake if they are not averse to it and find it acceptable collateral damage in the furtherance of their own gain and interest. Why in the hell we ordinary everyday people have continued to play this game so willingly and for so long is beyond my understanding.

  24. Jon,,,,,,,, lol,,,,,,,,,, I will ensure paragraphing is performed in future. lol In all honesty I am that used to posting in facebook, where the comments do not allow paragraphing, that in here where I can I had honestly overlooked doing so lol.

  25. The Taliban are not the ignorant hicks some Americans think. (Well, not all of them at least). They know very well that pissing on dead enemies ranks very low on the historic scale of American military atrocities. To take just a handful of typical examples (nausea warning!)…

Hillary Clinton is a woman without fear. She has bravely condemned US soldiers weeing on the Taliban. (Can’t get the video)
    .
Alright, so if we are allowed to bring this sort of thing up, what was in the photos Obama would not show to us?
    .
Is it true that they depicted the sexual torture of children carried out by US soldiers, often videoed by female US soldiers, in front of their mothers; one of the mothers begged her relatives to kill her even though no finger had been laid on her?

    .
I agree with that morality and warfare is something that is not paired up nicely. War (killing people) itself is immoral in its core. By putting some morality in warfare it is like painting some rotten wall in the hope that it will look nicer if it is painted.
    .
Agree that massacring civilians in Vietnam village could not be done without approval from above. But in this particular case it could have been some thuggish marines (probably drunk or worse) or whose friend has probably been blown off. There is no way to justify this immoral action but it could have been a result of few sick thuggish heads.
    .
On the other hand there are plenty more issues on which US could be condemned for being immoral and not at least extraordinary rendition.

    .
Mr Murray put in nicely in his comment to you. Exaggeration of ever powerful Jewish bankers and Rothschilds family in particular is old time favourite argument in Europe. Even before Christianity took its roots Jews and their profound ability in making money have been blamed for many evils. This has never changed since.
    .
As of today it is pretty much clear that US needs Israel as much as Israel needs US. In such strategically important and unstable region as Middle East Israel since its creation was acting as American fifth column. This is not only due to powerful Israeli lobby in Washington but this is also dictated by US strategic interests in the Middle East as well as in the rest of the world.

  29. Mary,,,,,,,,,, The only photos I am aware of that Obama moved to block where the release of photos documenting American military personnel torturing detainees in Iraq and Afghanistan, saying the images could “further inflame anti-American opinion.” Some were released or were leaked, not sure which, but exactly how many were not and what they depicted remain speculation.

Anyone see the Channel 4 documentary — pilots in Afghanistan?
One cheeky chappy hunting down unarmed civilians from the safety of his cockpit turned to the camera with a big smile.
” I’m a weapons pervert. Guns turn me on.”
Why is he not locked up?

  31. @Uzbek In The UK,
    .
I did not see Craigs comment as put in any other way than nicely, my response was not either.
    .
I dont see the ability to make money equating to being evil in itself, how that money is made though does determine whether it is or not. The Rothschilds most certainly do have strong influence world wide, they have immensely profited through war and have never had any conviction regarding which side of the war they funded or profited from, it would be fair to say that if the Devil emerged from the bowels of hell tomorrow and war ensued, they would not have a problem lending him money for his war machine as long as there was a return made from it.
    .
As far as the issue of Jews goes, I personally do not see the Rothschilds as being Jewish in a true genetic sense, they are Ashkenazi of European origin who converted into the faith, a fact that has always bewildered me as to why they were so prominent in the creation of Israel in Palestine through the British Agreement and also why they have funded it as considerably as they have through substantial donations. I dont particularly view this as a Jewish issue, as I said in my original post I truly do not believe that the majority of Israeli people are choosing this direction that is being travelled, they are ruled by a few that are taking it that way.
    .
I dont think its true to say that the US itself needs Israel, but Israel certainly needs the US. As you point out Israel is the most powerful lobby in Washington and fundamentally the most powerful lobby group their is the one that has and does donate the most financial support and contributions to those in power and who want to remain there.
    .
The main interest that the United States has in the Middle East is Oil and Resources, were it not for those then I think its fair to say that the US would have little if any interest there at all. But on that score, as far as the interest in Oil and resources goes, isn`t that interest really the main concern of the large corporations and banking and financial houses that make vast profits from that, because if the US government really had a concern regarding energy supply, then surely they would have sought out alternatives to remove their dependence on those Middle East resources long ago and secured their own future, which would be far more logical than relying on brute force and military might to scrabble for what is in effect a diminishing supply anyway.
    .
The more you examine it the United States of America is far from autonomous and creating its own direction, it is in fact hijacked and steered by a very small but financially powerful few, the direction of which is being determined by not that which is good for America at all, but rather serves the purposes of the few that bankroll the lobbying which determines the direction of the senate. I do not over-estimate the influence of Rothschilds and Rockerfeller etc in that area I believe at all.

  32. @Mary,

I remember that Seymour Hersh was part of a very few group that were allowed to view some of the material that Obomba refused to release, and I remember that he said that for days after he was haunted by the shrieks of young boys being raped.

    I’ve just done a quick search & found he also mentioned this here;

“The women were passing messages out saying please come and kill me because of what’s happened. And basically what happened is that those women who were arrested with young boys, children, in cases that have been [video] recorded, the boys were sodomized, with the cameras rolling, and the worst above all of them is the soundtrack of the boys shrieking. That your government has, and they’re in total terror it’s going to come out. It’s impossible to say to yourself, how did we get there, who are we, who are these people that sent us there.”

    http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article6492.htm

  33. @ Macky.
    .
Thanks for the post by Seymour Hersh, I had not seen this before and considering its Hersh that is saying that this is what he saw, I am very inclined to believe it 100%. Disturbing to say the least and it would appear what we were officially told didn`t even begin to scratch the surface of just how degenerate things were there.

  34. It is annoying to have repeatedly to point out how stupid most of what you assert really is.
    .
Here’s Ron Paul explicitly condemning the war in Afghanistan and stating that as Commander in Chief he would immediately end America’s military involvement there.
    .
So why is it that you join with the US mainstream media in attempting to conceal the existence of a constitutionalist and an anti-war candidate for the Republican Party presidential nomination?

  35. Thanks to Dale Martin and Macky who responded on the blocked photos. Truly terrible. Can they go any lower? We think not but each time they surprise us.

    .
I notice that La Clinton immediately goes on the media to deplore these atrocities in her hypocritical style.
    .
PS Has anyone noticed that she is resorting to this sort of hairdo, called the Croydon facelift in this country. Would she have been any better or worse as President than Obomber? Hagwitch.

  36. I think that they have been stoned out of their heads, gigglin’ like little boys as they were, they truly thought of themselves as being funny.
Britains special relationship stinks of piss now and respect due to the Taliban for responding with a reaffirmation of the peace negotiations, saying that they will not respond to the event.
This does not exclude the actions of some hotheads who might still be very offended and pissed orf about it all.

Whilst like many others I deplore this depraved behaviour I am aghast that the even more shocking and disgusting video of a US helicopter attack in Baghdad leaked by Bradley Manning via Wikileaks was not more widely reported / discussed/ condemned. The first time I viewed this I realised the US/UK/Israeli/NATO war machine had lost the plot utterly and completely….more recently I have come to know that the only ‘plot’ they ever had was war, war, war…and, by-the-way, some more war!! Shameful from people have the temerity to tell us how to live our lives!

  39. Craig
Maybe you were too worried about presenting yourself diplomatically to the House of Commons enquiry about torture to observe the bods who were listening. You were talking about torture and they were replying about finnicky pieces of law.
Your presentation covered outrage and compassion. Their presentation covered callousness and utter boredom. Same with Mr Rothschild. You may have added 20 years to your life just by saying these few nice words. Take £200 as you pass GO and pick up a Chance Card.

  40. @DaleMartin
“they are Ashkenazi of European origin who converted into the faith”

I am curious where is such idea coming from? There is continous documented presence of Jewish diaspora in Europe since Roman times. Genetically different could be the descendants of Khazar ruling classes who converted to Judaism but there is some insgnificant minority if they exist at all.

  41. @Tigger1.

Absolutely everywhere I have looked up to date regarding the Rothschilds states them as being Ashkenazi in origin.

But I will concede that as Gandhi pointed out, “Just because one person believes something to be true and the entire rest of the world believes something different, that does not necessarily mean that that one single individual is wrong”
    .
I would never be arrogant enough to believe that I have a monopoly on being right about everything, because the fact is that absolutely no-one on this planet has that monopoly either.
    .
So,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, If you have some reference or link regarding the Rothschilds that shows or gives evidence that they are not Ashkenazi in origin please do let me have it, I very much like to examine all sides of any debate or theory.

This disinformation is targeted at racists who might start to wonder why Muslim wogs are bad and Jewish wogs ok. It is supposed to make racists feel that they are of the same race as them. The OECD announced last week that European immigrants do NOT take UK jobs, while others outside the European Union do.
It’s the same as the DNA results which tell us that the UK has had a distinctive DNA for thousands of years. OK how come at least fifty percent of Kurdish vocabulary is easily recognisable as from the same root as English. Were we linked linguistically, but separated by blood and colour of our skin?
It is completely daft to differentiate between religions on the basis of racial origin, like the Shi’a argued that the leadership of the religion of Islam should travel down the blood line. I could dress up in orange and chant Hare Krishna with the best of them, if I thought it would pass muster on Doomsday in front of God.
It is the teachings of the Talmud, a human commentary on the Taurat which was revealed to Moses peace be upon him, that have led over the generations to racist Zionism. This has in turn been used to convince fundamentalist Christians of the superiority of Bible followers to followers of the Qur’an. Which has in turn led to the filthy acts of torture described above, done on our watch, in our time by our governments. Revenge will come.

  43. The soldiers who carried out this disgusting act have done their own country no favours, and brought shame on their colleagues who try to act honorably. They need to be made an example of.

  44. “a description of every Republican candidates’ debate and every Clinton and Obama speech”

C’mon Craig. Ron Paul would have the US military out of Afghanistan faster than Obama could say “indefinite detention”!!!!

but they are Ashkenazi and it means Jews. the antisemitic theory claiming “conversion” and in a sense reducing their purpose of maintaing identity does not hold with DNA testing.
even the interesting claim that people with names Cohen, Kohn, Kon are descendants of Moses brother Aaron was supported by DNA uniqueness.
    try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashkenazi_Jews.
of course many scientists are Ashkenazi Jews so there may be bias of presenting selective DNA evidence.

  47. @Trigger; “I am curious where is such idea coming from? There is continous documented presence of Jewish diaspora in Europe since Roman times. Genetically different could be the descendants of Khazar ruling classes who converted to Judaism but there is some insgnificant minority if they exist at all.”

    Yes, this is an interesting subject; you might like to have a look a the last Post on this Thread;

  48. Anno,
there is no correlation of language and ethnicity. sometimes invading tribes superimposed the language and culture but stayed in minority. DNA of most English people is more Celtic than Anglosaxon.
other example: Bulgars were not Slavs by origin but they adopted Slavonic language. there are some very old Indoeuropean words common in this group of languages – from Sanskrit to English (closest to Sanskrit in Europe seems to be Lithuanian). I don’t know much about Kurdish.
if we were looking at ethnicity ties then Iranians are much closer cousins for us Europeans (although I cannot be sure who were my ancestors) than Israelis.

  49. The content of this e-mail which came my way is very telling.

The CBS Weekend News, which airs Saturday/Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m. EST (5:30 p.m. CST/PST), is putting together a story about the high unemployment rate among female veterans, according to the latest numbers released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
    .

While there may be some explanations as to why the 22% rate is so alarmingly high, compared to the national average… even when all the explanations are factored in, the rate remains alarmingly high. What we’re looking for is to profile one or two women who have recently served in the military, who have seen combat, and who are continuing to have problems getting employment. What were your expectations upon returning home? What’s the reality been like? What is your sense of why returning vets are finding it disproportionately harder to get jobs? Is there an (unspoken) fear by potential employers of dealing with PTSD? Is it an (unspoken) concern about future redeployments?
    .

We are producing this story out of Los Angeles, so our preference for interviews would be those who live west of the Rockies. We would do any interview on site (coming to you, instead of conducting it in a studio). Our goal is to put a story together that looks behind the numbers. The person(s) we interview will be speaking for herself, not on behalf of the group, but she will be emblematic of what a growing number of female combat veterans are experiencing. If you meet the criteria and don’t mind sharing your current situation (as difficult as it is) with a national audience, please contact me. Our deadline is ASAP.

  50. Macky,
thank you, I read your post in linked topic. as I mentioned – there may be reporting bias in selecting DNA studies according to your agenda. I would rather believe the majority opinion which does not favour Khazar origin.

  51. I’ve been reading a bit of George Orwell lately and he’s helped me see the light on a few things.

Some of the bloggers on here often verbally/intellectually piss on others; they piss on them without a secound thought. You see, if you are ‘educated’ and the person who you are brow beating isn’t – wouldn’t the decent thing be to help them along with what they are trying to say. Try and understand them rather than berate or ignore them? Of course it would, but then you wouldn’t be able to claim any superiority over them would you. It’s all very well calling yourself a liberal, open-minded etc… It’s a very different thing to actually be it.

I really wasn’t in the mood before, but if I can skip back to an earlier subject that of “black people becoming whiter…” Is it because of racism.. really? I guess you missed out on the 90s club scene, Milan’s influence on the fashion world- late 80s.. and other factors that existed outside the library. Most people want to be the same shade of brown, no-one (in a fashionable sense) wants to be too-white or too-black. That is as simple as that. Don’t look for “ism” round every turn. Or you’ll end up looking like a hypocritical prick like that lady who recently twittered a “racist” remark. YES she was being racist; she was being as racist as the many people who have been sacked throughout the UK for the very same thing. Racism is the feeling of superiority toward someone of another race… it’s not name calling! People like her provided us with this lopsided PC framework that only seems to shoot one way. Another example of the liberal-fascist.

NOw- back to the present: US Marine Corp, British Paras and Marines all shock troops. When they are deployed to a battlefield it’s their duty to mix it up a bit. How can you possibly focus on such detail and condemn them as individuals. It’s war! I am certain every person on here has a connection to a familly member who has done the same or much worse in wartime. (They wouldn’t offer the info and you didn’t ask because we’re the good-guys right? YOu’re relative was an honest, decent person weren’t they?) The same people who piss on a corpse may not neceserally torture or rape.

Please feel free to ignore or piss as you find.

Have you seen some of the squaddies leaving the service??? Why don’t you employ them at your lovey-darling shop? Oh.. that’s right they’re too fucking crass and low-brow for you.. of course!!! Amazing 22% of women not able to get a job… it’s obvious society hates women. Of course. It’s all about gender discrimination isn’t it. A male is more likely than a female to be locked up, I think it’s 1 in 8 or maybe as high as 1 in 4 ex squaddies spend time in jail…. if most of them are men, could that be the reason the others find real employment? How does this 22% stand up? It looks like someone else is retro-fitting an idea to a reality. To prove what- that they are decent people fighting the good fight for the little guy. Or is it to earn money to buy a bigger wall to keep the barbarians out after they’ve used them for a story.

  54. Note: I’m not a ‘troll’ and I don’t have an agenda, I found Mr Murray by chance and was impressed with his stance against torture. Torturing someone is as cowardly as hiding behind words or allowing another person to fight your battles for you.

“During part of 1941 and 1942, when the Luftwaffe was busy in Russia, the German radio regaled its home audience with stories of devastating air raids on London. Now, we are aware that those raids did not happen. But what use would our knowledge be if the Germans conquered Britain? For the purpose of a future historian, did those raids happen, or didn’t they? The answer is: If Hitler survives, they happened, and if he falls they didn’t happen. So with innumerable other events of the past ten or twenty years. Is the Protocols of the Elders of Zion a genuine document? Did Trotsky plot with the Nazis? How many German aeroplanes were shot down in the Battle of Britain? Does Europe welcome the New Order? In no case do you get one answer which is universally accepted because it is true: in each case you get a number of totally incompatible answers, one of which is finally adopted as the result of a physical struggle. History is written by the winners.

Rothschilds certainly had a huge influence and were pretty much largely instrumental in the establishment of a State of Israel in Palestine
    ,
A loyal little Ulster amid the Arab heartlands, that has been giving ever since its inception. This illegitimate state has arrested the development of humanity for far too long, making acceptable; barbarism, lawlessness, exceptionalism, violence, genocide, and brute force. There is not a day that goes by without a mention of extra judicial killings, plots of bombing campaigns, and probable wars and transgression promised and scheduled, and attributed to the “land without people”.
    ,
Just read the unconscious drivel excusing wars and desecrations of the dead, as well as shameless murder, how could we get to this moral abyss, and moral turpitude without the invented “land without people”, and application thereof?
    ,
You contend to let the Arabs sort it out. That would be a day indeed, and perhaps even the beginnings of a possible competitive free market, that could ring closer to the truth, as oppose to the current rhetorical homilies of “freedom” and faith based “free markets”.

  56. ……But there is a rational analysis, and another one that posits cabals of evil jewish bankers led by the Rothschilds, who control pretty much everything. Dangerous nonsense. I met the then head (not sure if he still is around) of the whole Rothschild family, in Warsaw about 16 years ago. A very pleasant man,………..
I find reasons to wonder what happened to the great family fortunes from a 100 years ago. In the 1920s, the Rothschilds’ wealth was said to have been ginormous, and that’s the latest news about it that I’ve come across. Forbes lists don’t reflect it. Presumably, it’s in foundations – philanthropic investments. Where do we see the results of those charitable activities? I haven’t studied this, I’m just asking.
On the other hand, labeling people on the basis of family ties is horrible. But curiosity is warranted about vast human powers that vanish from public sight.

You should really have read the Post without assuming or looking for an agenda; for in this matter I have no agenda apart from historical curiosity; I didn’t state that I agreed or disagreed with the two people cited in my Post; I think that their views are worth knowing about, after all these are two people, who based on their respective fields of research, put their credibility/reputations on the line, in supporting a Khazarian origin, and who also just happen to both be Jewish; which incidentally reminds me, that Arthur Koestler, the man who perhaps is most credited with popularising this theory, was an Ashkenazi Jew himself, as well as a was pro-Zionist.

The marines urination video doesn’t show the real war crime
The urination video does not shock me so much as the public’s tolerance of these immoral wars that make criminals of marines
    .

Ross Caputi Friday 13 January 2012
Video allegedly showing US troops urinating on bodies of Taliban fighters
    .
The video of US marines urinating on Afghan corpses does not shock me. Though their behavior is disgusting and unacceptable, I find the public’s reaction to this video far more troubling. People are not outraged that there are dead Afghans; they are outraged at the manner in which the dead are treated. This is indicative of our culture’s tolerance for war and war crimes – as long as they are done in a gentlemanly fashion.
    .
During the second siege of Fallujah, blatant war crimes were committed, yet the corporate media reported them with indifference. The siege itself was a war crime, according to the International Committee of the Red Cross Summary of International Law, because indiscriminate tactics were used, constant care was not taken to protect the civilian population, proper distinction between civilians and combatants was not made, medical personnel and medical units were not protected, indiscriminate weapons were used, and recent research about the current health crisis in Fallujah suggests that poisonous weapons may have been used as well.
    .
Many of these war crimes were reported by the corporate media, though they were not described as such. For example, the New York Times reported on 8 November 2004 that American forces “seized” the Fallujah general hospital. An incident that I witnessed, as did Paul Wood and Robbie Wright from the BBC, was when my unit fired grenades into a house until it collapsed – with full knowledge that there were two resistance fighters and a young boy (roughly 10 years old) inside. Paul Wood interviewed the lieutenant at the scene, and he acknowledged that they had killed the young boy. In both of these reports, war crimes and Geneva Conventions were never mentioned, and the façade of honorable conduct was preserved.
    .

What did not make it into the news was my behavior in Fallujah and the behavior of others in my unit, which I am certain would have elicited outrage equal to that elicited by this video of the urinating marines. I believe that the second siege of Fallujah can correctly be characterised as an “atrocity-producing situation”. Our false beliefs about who we were fighting, our dehumanisation of Fallujans, our desire to “see combat” (a cute euphemism) and to get a confirmed kill, and our longing for revenge for lost comrades against a faceless enemy all conspired to create a bloodthirsty and lawless atmosphere.
    .
I witnessed marines stealing from the pockets of dead resistance fighters and looting houses. I’ve heard firsthand accounts of marines mutilating dead bodies, of a marine who murdered a civilian, and of a marine who slit a puppy’s throat. As the days of the siege passed, we used increasingly indiscriminate and illegal tactics – like “reconnaissance by fire”, which is when you fire into a house to see if anyone is inside. The violence, the hate and our distorted sense of morality made many of us sick, including myself. I stole a black ski mask out of someone’s home, because I wanted to take it home as a trophy, as evidence that I had fought against the “terrorists”.
    .
My behavior and the behavior of others in my unit was despicable, as was the behavior of these marines urinating on corpses. But we shouldn’t let ourselves be fooled that an immoral mission and immoral war could ever be conducted in an honorable manner. War crimes were implicit in the invasion and occupation of Iraq, and they are abundant in the continued occupation of Afghanistan.
    .
Yet, many of us choose not to see these war crimes, even though they are right in front of our faces. Only when a shocking YouTube video comes along, do we choose to look. And even then, what we see is the urinating, not the dead bodies.

    .
-The Duchess of York visits Turkey and breaks Turkish law, making a film which violates the privacy of some orphans. She then returns to the UK. Turkey seeks her return to answer charges stemming from her behaviour in Turkey, but a spokesman for the Home Office told The Daily Telegraph that no assistance would be given to the Turkish authorities…
“Under UK extradition law a judge must order the discharge of [an extradition request] if it is not an offence under UK law and in the country requesting extradition,” said the spokesman. “In this case there is no offence in UK law so there will be no extradition.”

“Great clip Leo. Notice how many good people leapt up to help him. A fine example of cowardice.”
    .
It’s not as simple as that. I can think of several occasions where something unexpected happened and in retrospect I “didn’t do the right thing”. It’s harder than you think, particularly if you are unprepared: your mind is preoccupied with the thought, “What’s going on here?”
    .
Also, how could anyone have helped him? Killed the cops?
    .
Of course those who did protest are to be commended, but courage takes many forms, and it isn’t always spontaneous.

  66. @ Franz
No it is not easy and most, like me, are physical cowards. But – to my mind – part of the point of liberal blogs like this is to educate us to protest and object to brutish police behaviour like this as it happens because we are already aware. Too late for the US probably as most are already brainwashed, but hopefully not yet for the UK or Europe.

  67. “Video allegedly showing US troops urinating on bodies of Taliban fighters”

Actually, in the USA ‘kill the cops’ might not be a bad idea. See : http://www.jbcampbellextremismonline.com/new-essays.html where I particularly like the phrase “If you see cops abusing people, don’t take pictures for YouTube – shoot them.” A refreshing opinion, but more seriously in line with Solzhenitsyn’s opinion that if people had resisted midnight arrests at the time (with force), Stalin’s purges could never have happened.

  69. Franz- I hear you. Stepping between is easier than you think, and tends to passively dissolve the situation, certainly with only 5 officers. It would have needed at the most only 2 more people. I feel we are getting too close to the “when good men fail to act” bit of our current drama.
If you have a one on one with a security representative they aren’t going to do anything, they then have to reason with you. Two on one you’re still an unknown quantity, any coward in that couple will prevent the other one being effective.. You don’t have to start killing until 3 apear (joke).

  70. The fascist US society has been long in the making, ever since the day after the end of WWII. Operation “paper clip” translocated more than experts and their body of knowledge, it also exported the NAZI weltanschauung albeit a much more refined and tweaked version. Yanks have learned to camouflage, tool up and paint their face just to go buy a hamburger, or pack of chewing gum, thanks to the years of unstinting Hollywood education. Hence it is not cowardice but a natural reaction of the citizenry who know; Police Knows Best.

I’m 16 year old(now 17 year old) poet from the UK. My Kashmiri heritage ties me to the struggle against inequality & injustice.

After the attack on the Freedom Flotilla by the Israeli Offence Force on the 31st May 2010 I realised that as long as good people remain silent those who intend to create negativity in the world will prevail. That is not something I can stand by and watch. I believe that every person has a right to freedom, equality and justice so I hope that through my poetry I can give a voice to those without one & I can help to bring about the change that is very much needed in our world today.

I write about issues such aand express my views on many issues that I believe should affect us all as human beings.

Language is one thing, ideology another, and ethnicity another.
Ethnicity might be relevant to a G.P, or for an interest in geography. I oppose the received ideas of Judaism on the grounds given in the Qur’an that it had been revealed over and over again in the history of Judaism that a Messiah and a great prophet called Muhammad were going to come, and when they both came, its followers found their teachings unpalatable and so they refused to follow them. Ethnicity and language are irrelevant to me.
What is relevant to me is that the followers of Judaism changed the points for everybody else, shunting Western civilisation into the sidings of 1/prophet worship, Christianity, and 2/ materialism, which both prophets peace be upon them came to denounce as a waste of time. I don’t mind what harm they did to themselves. they can do what they like so far as I’m concerned.
But the atomisation of money which we see in modern banking, and the atomisation of humanity into me-first ideology, is what I call Zionist Freemasonry.i.e. groups of people agree to co-operate to disenfranchise the majority, of money and resources, of love and support. Why do I call that Zionist? Because the messages of Jesus and Muhammad pbuh were to re-inforce and legislate for the birthright of human beings, to live in freedom, justice and good-neighbourliness, which the followers of Judaism decided to oppose, and continue to oppose in every possible way.
Zionism to me is nothing to do with ethnic origin or language, or the use of the word in history. The word Zionism means the pursuit of evil in the clear knowledge that God has asked us to promote righteousness, with rewards in the hereafter of extreme favour and disfavour to focus our minds on what we are doing and where we are going.
This idea of mine would have been obvious to people in the UK 300 years ago. It is difficult to find a concensus today that righteousness is anything more than a fantasy, even among Muslims! Muslims are pre-occupied by power with a small p, which is definitely not where I would wish Islam or anyone else to be.

    The Midas touch?

  85. @Anno,

Firstly, if I understand you correctly, your religious beliefs are of paramount importance to you, which I understand & respects, as I respect the rights of all people of Faith to practise and live their lives in accordance with their religion. I shake my head in amazement when I hear militant Atheists or Nationalists demand that a person’s religious beliefs should come second to their loyalty for their Country, being a moronic statement which only underlines their misconception of what it means to be being religious.

Secondly, if you mean Jews by your term “followers of Judaism”, then I cannot see that they can be held responsible for the spread of Christianity throughout Europe; if I recall my school RE studies correctly, it was the Hellenized Roman Empire that enabled the spread of Christianity to the West. Neither do I think it is accurate to blame Jews or Zionists for fostering the culture of materialism upon the West; the hypocritical Pharisees that opposed Jesus & his message, were only later examples of the same anti-humanists called Sophists, that Socrates warned about centuries before; these people have always existed, the types that value Winning/Power/Material Gain more than Truth & Justice, the Machiavellian types that engage in shenanigans & weasel semantics to disguise their motives/dishonesty, who believe that all Truth is relative & flexible, etc; these days we sometimes call them “Spin-Doctors” or “Realpolitik” Politicians, or even more currently employed are terms such as the “Decent Left” or “Humanitarian Bombers” ; the sort of people whose cannot realise that self-righteousness is not righteousness, & who believe that “ends justify the means”.

Finally you mention Evil, and that again reminds me again of one of the main messages of Socrates; that people have an innate sense of Morality/Good, but are ignorant of it, and that the use of pure reason/wisdom would lead them to rediscover it; it other words people do bad/evil things because they have forgotten/ignorant of Morality/Good, which is normally abbreviated to the quote “There is only one good, knowledge, and one evil, ignorance.”

I know this looks like an unrelated strand, but I don’t think it is. The US acts now in supreme arrogance as though it is above all other countries’ laws, let alone local senses of morality given they have none of their own. They can go after and urinate on anyone they choose,… anywhere. Assassination squads in Pakistan or Iran – Oh that’s ok – Washington or Langley will sign it off if anyone whinges. Naughty student at university in Sheffield England – we’ll have him. Naughty squaddie who blows whistle to Wikileaks – we’ll give him a good kicking.

Does the UK have nothing to say about this student apart from waving him goodbye at the airport? I hope they dress him in orange and chain him up so everyone sees this for what it is.

Thanks for that. But I think that the presence and influence of Judaism chameleoning into polytheism from all directions is evident in the Gospels. Its presence took control of the western world, as it does today, in the back seat. So I’m sticking with my idea that Zionism = materialism.

“Austere Challenge” was billed as largest such drill in country’s history; officials cite technical, logistical issues.
    .
Israel and the US canceled a missile defense drill, billed as the largest ever in the country’s history, planned for the spring, senior military officials said Sunday.
    .
Initially scheduled for April and called “Austere Challenge,” the drill was supposed to see the deployment of thousands of US troops and various sophisticated US military equipment in Israel.

    .

A major joint Israel-US military drill, which was set to take place in a few weeks time with the participation of thousands of IDF and US army soldiers, has been postponed by at least six months, Ynet reported Sunday
    .
The decision was made by Defense Ministry officials in coordination with the Pentagon.
    .
A number of global media outlets said the exercise will likely take place in the summer – at the earliest.
    .
Israeli officials said the Americans asked to delay the drill so as not to heighten tensions with Iran over its nuclear program and avoid drawing any additional attention from the Arab countries during such a turbulent period.
    .
Security establishment officials said the decision was also related, in part, to budgetary concerns…

  97. Makes you jaw drop, but then what do you expect in AMERICA!!!

Rick Perry, says US Marines videotaped urinating on dead Taliban fighters in Afghanistan are just an example of “kids” being kids.

Obviously 18, 19-year-old kids make stupid mistakes all too often and that’s what’s occurred here,” Perry said in an interview with CNN on Sunday.

The Texan Governor also accused the US President Barack Obama’s administration of “over-the-top rhetoric” and “disdain for the military” in their condemnation of the incident.”

“These kids made a mistake, there’s not any doubt about it. They shouldn’t have done it, it’s bad – but to call it a criminal act, I think is over the top,” Perry added. “

  98. Just one of the many problems of modern, corporate, mass, journalism is that it’s making war so much easier to get away with. The censorship of effects of warfare plays an important role in legitimizing war and making it an accpetable option for politicians.

And now, once again, we’re going to war. This time with Iran, though the stupidity, criminality, and absolutely unecessary nature of the coming conflict… beggars belief.

We are, of course, already at war with Iran and have been for years… economically at war with them, slowly trying to strangle Iran economically… which is usually the first step towards the start of a real, shooting war.

The task for our leaders is to find a plausible excuse for attacking Iran, and they’ve been preparing the ground for years. Obama is the perfect salesman, why he was chosen in the first place. He can get away with it, because he obviously doesn’t look like yet another; dumb, old, inarticulate, white, grey-haired, millionaire Republican, warmonger; which people wrongly assume means that he’s different. When in reality he’s the same sick product in a different, new, and shiny, box.

But if our “democratic” leaders are ruthless, criminal, bloodthirsty, hypocritical, lying, mass-murdering… swines… what does this tell us about the true character of our society, institutions, and culture?

  99. Writeon : it tell us we deserve the governments we get!

  100. Still silence from Micky Arison, Chairman and CEO Carnival Corporation, ultimate owners of Costa Cruises, in spite of the confirmed death of five passengers and that 15 others are still unaccounted for. The media including the BBC give the idea that the ship was operated by Costa Grociere, viz
    .
‘The ship’s operator, Costa Crociere, said the vessel had been following its regular course on the first day of a Mediterranean cruise when it hit a submerged rock.’
    .
    and
    .
‘The president of Costa Cruises, Gianni Onorato, said the company would “be working in full transparency with Italian authorities” to understand the causes of the disaster.’

    .
and say nothing about the ultimate ownership of the ship.
    .
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-16568760
    .
I think that Arison should have expressed concern and given his condolences.

  101. We don’t “deserve” the governments we get, on the contrary. That would imply that we have a choice of governments, between competing potential governments/parties, when we don’t.
    .
In Britain, as in the USA, a clear majority of the population are against these ghastly imperialists wars, don’t support the western “crusade” for freedom aimed at the Muslim world, and don’t want to go to war with Iran. Yet, in the UK, as in the US, the politicians are overwhelmingly behind the war policy. Not only are they totally ignoring the people, they don’t give a damn about what the people think. The War Party is firmly in control in the United States and their is no political opposition. There is no possibility of voting against the government and avoiding war. And this system, (laughingly called democracy, supposedly so different from the system in Iran, and one of the reasons we are going to war, to protect our values and way of life) is labeled “deomcracy.”

    :
It isn’t democracy at all. In the US, and increasingly in the UK, we live under a form of dictatorship, where the three parties are all “conservative”, have virtually indistinguishible economic and foreign policies, and the people have no voice, no alternative, and most importantly no power.

About the only hope of stopping the UK following the US into war with Iran would be a national strike to paralysed society and bring down the government, and even then that might not work, because the UK government would ignore the strike, call it, “undemocratic”, declare martial law, and they’ed probably go to war anyway, because the ruling elite in the UK is more loyal to the Washington empire, than it is to its own people.

  102. I think the era of classic, bourgeois, liberal, democracy; is over. The era of perpetual war has arrived, and it isn’t compatible with democracy, even the controlled, bourgeois, variety; which despite its faults, was better than nothing. But, alas, all things pass.
    .
The age of austerity and perpetual war don’t leave much room for debate or democracy, as the UK’s development shows to perverse perfection, where one has a “choice” between three rival conservative political factions, and, more importantly, no real alternatives are allowed or debated.

The media are little more than a propaganda ministry. This is because all the wars are about stratgic advantage and resources, mainly energy supplies, access to, and most importantly, control of them, and the routes to mover energy around the globe. But we can’t send young men to war for energy, so we’ve invented a fairytale about the terrorist threat and Muslims extremists to divert attention from the truth. The fairytale will suffice for now, until we are so far down the road to dictatorship and so used to war that the reasons won’t matter. The end game is war with, (if their regimes don’t get toppled is some other way), Russia and China, because we want to control these vast potential markets, and the vast resources of Eurasia for ourselves. That this western grand strategy is insane, doesn’t matter too much.

  103. “because we want to control these vast potential markets, and the vast resources of Eurasia for ourselves.”
    .
Wrong!. Its all about control of what is left of global resources for the few, to ensure their futures, their wealth, their power. There is no “ourselves”, its now everyone for themselves.

  104. “The fascist US society has been long in the making, ever since the day after the end of WWII. Operation “paper clip” translocated more than experts and their body of knowledge, it also exported the NAZI weltanschauung albeit a much more refined and tweaked version.”
    .
The above idea is based on having blanks in the knowledge of early 20th century history. What the Nazis did was to efficiently realise ideas and reproduce practices that were already present and well-regarded in the West. Plus, there is no evidence that after WW2 the Nazis inspired Americans to do anything. There was nothing originally Nazi to be exported someplace else.

  105. Writeon : I still say that we deserve the government we get, there might not be any difference between the 3 main parties, but do we have to vote for any of the 3 main parties? they are main parties because election after election we have voted for them and have made them the “3 main parties”. We have hardly any independent or Green party members in parliament. If the people in the Arab world can have spring (even though it might take years for them to actually achieve democracy), we are in a much better place to have our own “spring”

  106. “We don’t “deserve” the governments we get, on the contrary. That would imply that we have a choice of governments, between competing potential governments/parties, when we don’t.”
    .
You have a choice to form new political parties, or stand as independent candidates on the elections. You might form think-tanks as well.

    .
“Near our home was a shoe store, owned and run by a Jew. Even before 1933 his store windows and swastikas had been painted on the walls and door. But, after the “takeover,” the Nazis demolished his store in broad daylight. They broke all the windows, threw the merchandise onto the sidewalk, and dragged the proprietor and his wife and two children into the street. They started beating and cursing them, all the while calling them dirty names and shouting that they weren’t fit to live among the exalted German, Aryan people. The greatest indignity of all is that after the family was lying in the gutter in agony, the Nazis urinated on them. I was only seven years of age when this took place, but I remember it vividly.”
