Let’s Keep Supporting Bombing Gaza 126

David Aaronovitch is the very first name on the “Let’s stay together” list unveiled today. That’s Aaronovitch, Murdoch employee, unrepentant propagandist for the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan and the bombing of Libya – and look how those turned out – and arch media Zionist. We know why he wants to keep the Union together. For exactly the same reason that Baroness Warsi resigned – because Westminster foreign policy is under unshakeable Zionist control

It is a diverse list. But there is one thing all of these people have in common.

They are all much wealthier people than the rest of us.

Almost all of them of them have their main home in South East England. No wonder they want to keep the UK scam going, and Scotland’s resources funnelling down there.

A large number of them get their high salaried living from the (ahem) “neutral” BBC.

There are 210 names on the list. How many can you find whose main residence is not in South East England, and where is it?

“We believe that the key missing message is a positive, emotional one: not telling the Scottish electorate what to do or what not to do, but telling them how we feel about Scotland, about being part of the UK and about our collective place in the world.”

Translation: We have no rational arguments.

Young Snow has a strong campaigning record:

He played a central part in the UK Alternative Vote Referendum in 2011, after releasing a successful viral video the campaign used a version of it, featuring Snow, as their final Referendum Broadcast.

With someone of his calibre, how can BT fail?

Almost all of them of them have their main home in South East England.

As he’s married into the westminster family, he’s probably got a lot more property in Scotland than most.

Baronness Tanni Grey-Thompson lives in County Durham….she’s probably scared of the Border rievers coming back.

Stanley Baxter, however, lives in Highgate. There’s a man who’s made his pile out of Scots individuality. Not his best joke ever, signing that.

Otherwise, looks like a crowd of Establishment media luvvies and almost certainly rounded up by HMG (UK) plc.

Craig: your efforts to link a Scottish No vote with Zionism and bombing Gaza are absurd. According to the polls over half of Scots agree with Aaronovitch on Scottish independence. That doesn’t make them Zionists or supporters of bombing Gaza. You know that perfectly well.

  • Reluctant Observer

A good thing indeed that the Scots have at least one champion campaigning for a break-up. Even though he prefers to live in South East England himself.

  • paul

    That list just gets better.
The philosophy of Alain de Botton ,scion of a swiss banking family, is obviously influenced by Brucie.
Nice to see you, to see you nice, would sit comfortably in any of his works.

Agree. Separate issues. However, some of the funding may coincide.

  • Clark

The link is power – and there’s nothing absurd about that. UK foreign policy is disgusting – and it is perfectly valid for Scots to vote Yes that they may be rid of it.

  • paul

I think he’s just pointing to desperate quality of the signatories, their tenuous connection with Scotland and, barring Jim Murphy, their distance from the political sentiments here.

Oh look, another anti-independence post from “independence supporter” MJ. That’s about 25 now. Still waiting for that first pro-independence argument from MJ.

You are anyway making a schoolboy syllogism. Zionists oppose independence does NOT equate to all opponents of independence are Zionists. Just as cats are mammals does not equate to all mammals are cats.

You really have lost a screw on the independence question, and I still cannot tell why. When I ask you why you keep coming out with highly emotive and illogical anti-independence comments, you reply either that you are joking, or that you actually support independence.

Why don’t you tell us something about that very well disguised support for independence. What motivates it?

  • Republicofscotland

I don’t really see the point of these so called celebrity lists, no one in their right mind after checking all the facts on independence will let this lot sway their vote to a no.

I see the lubyanka aka Tammany Hall aka Glasgow city chambers, has one of its councillors retiring, George Black who’s yearly salary is a whopping £170.000 is stepping down. The Glasgow Evening Times ran a story last week which showed at least 10 councillors at Glasgow city chambers took home £100.000+ per year, an obscene amount of cash for a public servant.

On a more sensible note regarding Glasgow City chambers, tomorrow they’re going to fly the Palestinian flag in a sign of solidarity with the poor souls, who’ve suffered terribly in Gaza.

The Naughtie boy is pushing the No vote hard. I have heard a lot from him since the ‘debate’.

Scottish voters ‘more engaged than ever’
    Duration: 07:52

James Naughtie speaks to Patrick Harvie, co-convenor of the Scottish Greens, a member of the advisory board of Yes Scotland and Robin McAlpine, director of the Jimmy Reid Foundation.

Ian Taylor has recently given some pounds sterling to LST:

    http://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/top-stories/vitol-chief-makes-new-donation-to-pro-uk-group-1-3499898

    And –

Pro-union campaigners received more than double the donations given to the Yes camp last month, the Electoral Commission has reported.

Four unionist campaign groups received donations of £151,248 between June 27 and July 24, compared with two nationalist groups which received £65,000, the second pre-poll donations and loans report for the Scottish independence referendum reveals.

Unionists have received a total of £2,657,723 since December 18 compared with £1,524,120 for the nationalists, with both sides boosted by seven figure donations by Harry Potter author JK Rowling and Euromillions winners Chris and Colin Weir respectively in the months to June 27.

The biggest donation last month was £74,747 by JCB digger tycoon and Conservative donor Mark Bamford to the Scottish Research Society, a scientific and literary society campaigning for a No vote. The society was founded in May, and is run by marketing directors Hamish Alldridge and Elaine MacKenzie Grossart.

Ms. Grossart is a director of four companies, one of which is Hopi Energy. (Mission statement: Getting a rakeoff from EU funding for facilitating you know green stuff)

Yes, I can see why she wouldn’t want the cash pipeline to Brussels to be diverted.

Craig: the title of this post is “Let’s Keep Supporting Bombing Gaza”. All that’s happened however is that some ridiculous third-rate journalist has had the temerity to voice an opinion on Scotland. As if anyone cares.

“Why don’t you tell us something about that very well disguised support for independence. What motivates it?”

I think independence is a good thing, which is why I oppose the EU. In order to be truly independent I think a country must have its own central bank and currency and must take full control of its own infrastructure and natural resources. The last nation to achieve real independence was probably Iran.

Aaronovitch the scribbling stenographer to the gangsters-in-charge.

He is as disgusting as a piece of that sticky stuff you tread in that a pooch has left behind on a pavement.

What has he had to say about the massacre of the people in Gaza?
Three mentions on his recent Twitter page. One a retweet from another piece of s**t Mark Urban and two of his own on the anti Hamas serial The Honourable Woman.

Craig, you’re English and you live in Spain.

The fact that you’ve now berated the signatories for having their “main home in South East England”, presumably you think they’re loaded and less likely to subscribe to your undergraduate political view, shows that you’re not entirely oblivious to how pathetic your ravings are.

I’ve no particular interest in any of the people signing the letter but they’ve got as much right to voice their opinion as you have.

Well, Mr. Murray – there are some, though in great minority, are journalists in the world who refuse to sell their soul to the Devil like those 210 “wealthy liars”.

Mike Carlton, 68, Australia’s veteran journalist and author, has resigned after his employer Sydney Morning Herald suspended him under pressure from country’s powerful Jewish Lobby.

Australian Jewish groups had slammed the newspaper over Carlton’s July 26 column in which he accused the Zionist entity of “waging its own war of terror on the entire Gaza population”. The column was accompanied by a cartoon (shown above), which was widely condemned as “anti-Jew” by leaders of country’s organized Jewry which also threatened to take legal action against the newspaper under country’s “Hate Law”.

To be a valid argument there should be at least 2 premises of which are both deductive.

How can we possibly not apply validity without maintaining reason.

What autonomy and constitutional independence would give Scotland is Pride which can be nurtured without prejudice.
This could turn a good day in to a better day and we all know the importance of productivity on a daily basis.

  • Republicofscotland

Regarding the “List” isn’t there a few BBC presenters/personnel on it, I was under the impression the BBC had to be neutral, towards the independence debate, just a thought.

  • craig Post author

    MJ

So you propose the UK should stay together, because the referendum would not immediately give Scotland its own central bank and currency? How would that advance the cause of ever achieving that?

Simply, why do you want the UK to stay together?

  • Just saying

At least the “NO” voters have been promised Pentlands, Edinburgh will be twinned with Pardesiya , Central Israel, if that counts for something – courtesy of the former MP rifkind (remember he of the al-Ghouta YouTube video “evidence”).

  • Republicofscotland

Just heard on the radio BBC Scotland, that the USA has passed a motion in its chamber, hoping to find a resolution to keep the UK together, Brad Sherman US politician is drumming up support to somehow thwart independence, I’m sure more will be revealed later, by the media.

That fat tub of lard Aarono…. will not finish the full name of evil, I am sick of washing my keyboards and end up wrecking them. Is the kind of thing that would be playing “bomb Gaza”

Its kind are always at the vanguard of telling the prols; “they have never had it so good” hence best to keep the Union! If Unions were so good, why o why did Thatcher and successive governments since have made sure there are no unions left, so what is good for goose etc. No need for any Union, Scottish would be far better off on their own.

John Lloyd is so important that he has signed twice once as journalist and once as broadcaster – identical signatures.
