From the doorstep experience, I think that is basically the right running order if the election were held today. Fortunately it isn’t, and we have three weeks of intense campaigning ahead of us. I start from lower “brand recognition” than the parties, but am already moving up in public awareness very fast and we have some big campaigning surprises up our sleeves.

Stop posting comments asking what you can do to help, and get yourselves to Norwich to pound the streets and deliver leaflets. There are a few other tasks as well, but 95% of the man-hours we need are foot-slogging. We can provide accommodation – helpful if you can bring sleeping bag or bedding. Whatever you can spare – hours, days or weeks – just get yourselves here.

Our first public meeting is 7pm this Friday at Norwich Puppet Theatre. Ironic venue as I am one of the only candidates who is not a party puppet. Tell anyone you know in Norwich!

Craig

    Hear, hear

Where is the campaign HQ we should report to?

    Craig,

I’m still thinking about it – but sustained an injury in my training in the Lake District. My left foot swole up like a balloon. I thought there was no way I would be able to make the Hyde Park Festival to see Neil Young – but made it with the help of paracetemol – which I really do not approve of.

Its now calmed down a bit – and I went for a long cycle ride today to get fit for Guilfest in 9 days time.

After that we have nothing planned until WOMAD – which starts the Day after You Become The MP for Norwich North.

So there will still be lots of Free Days to foot slog around Norwich before then delivering leaflets and painting the Town CRAIG.

    Tony

I’m coming back down in the morning. After reading your blog these past years I am going to put my money where my mouth is and come on down to Norwich to support your campaign. I’m taking a few days off work – should be lovely delivering leaflets around such a beautiful town as Norwich in this weather – much better than being stuck in a sweltering office. I’ve leaving from the Teesside area if anyone wants a lift down with me.

Norwich is a long way from me and i’m skint. I hope you do well. For the record, you were 66 to 1 and 33 to 1 before being 25 to 1 with Laddies. I was looking up odds on Blair to be Euro King. It was just out of curiosity, but any money I get my hands on in the next few months may well be punted if the price is right. :-0 All the best.

P.S. What did you expect from the BBC anyway? Their 7/7 docu the other night was quite amazing to say the least.

I will be there (Newmarket Road) by tomorrow afternoon. I live very near there, but I have to do some other things, first. Incidently, I agree with everything that Ingo says elsewhere in your blogs. I wouldn’t worry about the Greens. There is enough room for both you and the Greens in this election. The Greens can’t win, anyway. The important thing is to reduce the Tory and Labour votes.

Off topic, but I thought the BBCs 7/7 documentary was very good. It essentially proved the point that the conspiracy theorists are all in the same boat with David Shayler (the Messiah), other self-proclaimed Messiahs, Rush Limbaugh/survivalist types and extreme right wing Chirstians and Doris Bonkers of Bonkersville. Very good stuff.

I hope Craig does well in NN, but I doubt it. He’s no Martin Bell.

If I were an election candidate in NN, I would regard Craig as a very able and dangerous adversary, not to be underestimated despite having a much smaller team than the major parties. Nulab scored an own goal by sacrificing Ian Gibson and forcing a by-election, which I predict they will end up sincerely regretting. I predict that Craig will give the major parties a good run for their money, whatever the outcome.

If you could convince some wealthy people to place some large bets on you at Ladbrokes you could probably get your odds below LieBore, then use that as a tool to get more votes. 🙂

Jessy, i’ll be back to put you in your place after the by-election. It takes the minimum of intelligence, but Craig needs no disruption now whatsoever. Tell you what, if you post back just repeatedly view ‘Comment 67’ in Craig’s ‘Comments Policy’ thread as my reply :-). Yours sincerely my old mucker…

P.S. Make sure you send my regards to your sad ‘Walter Mitty fantasist’ spook buddies won’t you. Tarra.

As a Norwich resident I was a little surprised to see the explosion of fly posting on County Council property around the Norwich ring road. Given your reccent event ‘Crooks, Lies and Politicians’ perhaps you would at least try to keep your supporters within the law.

Why don’t you complain to the BBC, the UCU and everyone else who is seeking to censor Craig then. Fly-posting is highly necessary when you are up against the might of the establishment who are colluding to keep you out of the public eye.

Keep on with the fly-posting I say (if that is what you are doing, I only have that ‘disgrunted’ poster’s word for it). A “crime” that should not even register on anyone’s morality radar when compared to the monstrous actions of our government in recent years.
