The bar chart at UK column is very misleading.
It is true that governments such as Sweden’s have been more respectful of civil liberties, but the streets, parks, restaurants etc. are empty nonetheless. The Swedish government has pitched it as “voluntary”, but with enforcement to follow if people don’t comply.
Taiwan, South Korea and Germany did early extensive contact tracing and quarantine / isolation; had the UK government done that, we would have numbers as low as theirs. Italy and Spain were way too late; the governments only locked down when the crisis forced them to.
UK Column also links to the highly dodgy “Swiss Propaganda Research” site; entirely anonymous, they refuse to divulge their identities.
Concentrating upon the demographic of fatalities obscures the fact that CoVID-19 is a horrifying way to die; anything up to a week of an extreme painful and distressing struggle for breath, often ending in failure of the overloaded heart. Hospital facilities are for alleviating suffering during the final days of life. The elderly must not be tortured to death by CoVID-19
