Moderators however still need the “on-topic” rule to maintain a semblance of order – or these threads could end up like Facebook where, for instance, discussions about climate change precipitating wildfires are frequently derailed by claims that the fires are actually started from orbiting laser satellites for political objectives. And yes, the software for these forums is full of bugs. Everything is suboptimal, and I too find it frustrating. But I appreciate your contributions, so please struggle on as best you can.
