The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.
Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:
the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?
The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.
Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:
Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.
There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.
But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.
The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?
James LFR did see the car and gave a description of who was in it ,I don’t know why you keep trying to turn SAH into a villain there has not been any evidence for it.
The worst anyone has come up with is that he had opinions that he voiced on the net unless you count owning a tazer that does seem a bit OTT unless he was worried about needing to protect himself or his family.
I have a blue bin and use it to collect rainwater in, they come with chemicals in mine was from a printing place,I daresay in SAH’s line of work they would be used for various things and are useful if you want a bin for free.
Why pay for something if you can recycle.
http://www.freepatentsonline.com/y2013/0015260.html
Helicopters mentioned.
@Pink: Maybe the al-Hillis were tailed from the supermarket in Doussard, if they stopped there. A family out for a picnic and leisurely stroll in the woods might have needed picnic fixings. They might have shopped at the one in Doussard where Sylvie Lecouer was shopping before she became a witness in their case.
@NR: Those giant bags at the helicopter crash are like the kind you get when you order landscaping supplies. they’re lifted off a flatbed truck by a hoist, or small forklift. You pay a deposit, which is returned when you bring back the bag. They hold a cubic yard of gravel, soil, etc.
@Pink:
These are the supermarkets around Annecy that sell British, American and international food:

There’s a Shopi in Doussard.

Slow your horses ! Have I hit a nerve ?
Firstly they aren’t blue bins, They are barrels.
There is a HUGE difference.
You also say “in SAH line of work”.
What was that ? We don’t fully know. Well I don’t.
You further suggest that this was something he brought home with him ! Altogether strange.
Telll me why would he do that ?
First Katie alert !
I asked about the roof rack (she’ll come online soon I guess. Must be a scanner thing)
Now I ask about barrels in the garden !
There were barrels. There was a ROC unit. There was some concern ?
James they are barrels like I said I have one for collecting rainwater ,I don’t know what SAH used his for but I was saying he may have been recyling them the same as I did the signs are there that he recycled stuff ,pallets for instance make good firewood or even useful wood for projects .
Its not that odd if you have better things to spend your money on maybe you just like the easy life 🙂
Pink
“I don’t know why you keep trying to turn SAH into a villain there has not been any evidence for it”.
I never said he was… I never said he wasn’t.
Did you work for 14 Intel in Northern Ireland ???
I kinda get the hint you did.
Yo to “the Det” !!!! Ya never beat me daddy !
I was merely saying Al Hilli would have been on MI5 radar and that IF his comments were heard and therefore read by Fort Meade, he would have been a subject to watch.
Looking at Al Hilli’s movements (that are known) and his life (again that are known) and his last behaviour, why is it NOT possible that Al Hilli was a “bad man” ?
If he…and the people he met with (which ckearly he did) were the “bad men” BUT looked on by a 7 year old as “good men”, then does that not put the “bad man” (or was it man) as “what I can see” as good men (or man !) ?
Pink, you paint al Hilli as a saint. We don’t know that.
Pink….
The guy is collecting rainwater in Surrey !
And driving a fibe Series
For the enviroment !!!
And yet those are chemical barrels.
I would put ” cat litter” in them. Or something that looks like “cat litter” in them.
What is looks like “cat litter” that isn’t “cat litter”.
Lets think.
Something explosive…yet isn’t on it’s own ?????
And you can buy (I lived as a youngster on a farm) in those barrels (that aren’t English “bins”) ?????
What makes plants grow…and people fly really high ?
What are “engineers” in software really good at doing ?
What makes an “anti West” Iraqi store cash overseas ?
I think the OBVIOUS is being missed here.
A lone nut ?
Who hates tourists ?
And / Or Midle East people ?
Jeeezus H Christ, That man got lucky that day.
He had to add one to the count, but he got lucky in his hideout !!!
There are many that make it sound like Al Hilli’s work got him shot.
If so good (and there are many that I doubt will be) why is there not many more shootings ? Surely there will be many that want to “sell” secrets ?
Nothing “rings” true, until you set “nukes” and “triggers” together.
Hey presto…. who wants to run a trial with that ?
No one.
Dead is good. Nothing to see here. End of.
James I am not trying to paint SAH as a saint I am saying that there is nothing that has been found that makes him a sinner other than having an opinion on the net and owning a tazer ,the only things I have to go on are what I have read the same as you but people liked him they said he was kind and helpful they seem to have been doing their best as a family and he seems to have been doing the sorting out of the legalities of the will in a straightforward way ,when I look at the extended family in england they look like decent people ,I don’t know about the overseas ones to judge.
My gut feeling is that he was concerned about something I really wonder if he had found something out as Mr Saltman said he was showing concern for his relations in Irac and had been talking to them on the phone ,I have tried to think what would connect that information to france .
As for me being intel thats a laugh this forum has been all around the world with the ideas I have barely got out of the lay-by yet.
Pink… okay.
Lets look at what we have.
You agree there is little info on Al Hilli ?
And that Al Hilli was on the MI5 radar ?
@Q
When people searched for Sylvie Lecoeur early on there was a bit of dead end I seem to remember I found one who was into horses but not sure if it was the right one.
Got to go to bed nite all.
Al Hilli COULD have been sat with a nice Porsche on the drive.
OR his kids in private school.
Why didn’t he ?
He had 850K Euros in “a” bank.
How do you make money ?
Informant ?
Who gets shot in the manner that he did ?
Informant ?
When an informant gets killed, do people want to look into things ?
Like alot of informants, no one “looks into things”.
Think that is Al Hilli.
James

Pink… okay.
Lets look at what we have.
You agree there is little info on Al Hilli ?
And that Al Hilli was on the MI5 radar ?
I dont agree James there is more info on SAH than anyone else, his job by its nature would mean he could only talk about certain things in a general sense like anyone who works in sensitive industries .
There is no evidence he was “on the radar” as you put it either other than a neighbour who seems to have assumed it was security services.
Maybe the police were watchng him for some reason.
As he worked at one point at the same place as the Cern scientist who got arrested ,held for two years and then released maybe that got him on a watch list just speculation though that guy seems to have only been arrested because of internet chatting his peers at cern stood behind him and were quite shocked at what the french were able to do under terror laws .
Sorry must go to bed .
Pink.
“On the radar” mean MORE than “jack next door says….”
Do you really hink an Iraqi, going to Iran (even from Dubai) on a visit…and has a wife from “X”ever…and who is on the interweb (check out good ole Fort Meade ..and the….).
This fella is ON the radar. This is not “amateur hour” here.
Christ the Brit’s have been doing this since 1972 in Northern Ireland. And quite well at doing it.
he question is…..
Tim V
Great questions. But you have missed one again. Or maybe I missed it.
You found the reason for the btoken roof rack ?
“Pamela Simpson, who lives opposite, said: “I don’t know them very well, with the huge hedge you can’t see much. There was an elderly couple living there and a younger man and woman and that’s as far as I know. My friend told me they had two young children.”
http://www.getsurrey.co.uk/news/s/2120096_claygate_man_named_as_french_alps_murder_victim
High hedges. What have they to hide? That’s as suspicious as persons without Facebook pages. 🙂

“French officers arrived at the Oaken Lane property and, after the security alarm was disabled, they entered alongside teams from Surrey Police. Mr Maillaud said police in both France and Britain had lines of enquiry… He added: “Up until now the police in Britain were guaranteeing the safety of the house, but now it’s a Franco-British inquiry that is starting and we can now enter the house of Mr Al-Hilli.
According to this the British police did not enter SAH’s home until French police arrived.
“Meanwhile, the identity of the older female victim remains unclear, despite early suggestions that she was Mrs Al-Hilli’s mother. The 77-year-old had an Iraqi name and a Swedish passport, but Mr Maillaud said four-year-old Zeena could not provide them with a name for the lady.”
“She was asked who she was with and she said ‘Daddy, Mummy, Sisty’ and gave their first names,” he said.
…. “The older lady is slightly more complicated because the little girl said she didn’t know her very well.””
“As discussed before, this is really odd. They’d been traveling and living together for days. Even if she didn’t know the woman’s name, and small children often don’t, her parents must have referred to her as grandmother or auntie or something.”
@ James 23 Jan, 2013 – 11:46 pm
“Pink…. And you can buy (I lived as a youngster on a farm) in those barrels (that aren’t English “bins”) ?????”
The first view of the Claygate pics I thought the round blue things were tanks with hose or pipe fittings on top, then seeing the bin sets — I see now only one set of three bins belongs to SAH, the other set is across a fence on a neighbour’s place — I thought the blue round ones were another style of bin.
If the barrels originally contained chemicals shouldn’t there be markings on them. Relooking at the pics, there are also what appear to be two large, ribbed barrels – the type used for low pressure carbonated beverages – in the centre of the back yard between the two sheds, one inside the arbor that looks as if it’s made of stacked pallets. Light green in colour. Or are those two just stacks of painted tyres like the unpainted one next to the table in back? Were they making planters or some such?
NR, I agree that Zeena “not knowing the lady very well” is extremely puzzling. Unless it wasn’t Zeena who said it or “the old lady” was someone other than said grandmother.
Almost everything to do with the children is puzzling – from Zainab’s changing status – dead, then severely injured, then well enough to fly up and away – to Zeena being found after 8 hours (has there ever been such a case before? like in ‘ever”?) – to them being hidden at a foster family with very limited visits allowed – and no one seeming to show much concern.
And James, you may have a point too – maybe there was a picture at 3:15PM in Arnaud but it wasn’t Saad taking it? or maybe they were not in the BMW when it was taken? or maybe it wasn’t all of them? in any case, we have never seen no picture – we, as in the public. Now, why is that? morbidity – they said. Really? or is it part of the deliberate intent to keep pictures to a minimum, preferably, nothing at all? even as the mere statement of there being a “photo” time-stampled at 3;15PM smacks of an attempt to “fix” the time line, so that we’ll believe that SAH+family arrived at the lay-by later than they did.
Those three things – the puzzle of the complete lack of photographic evidence of the victims or children, the seriously mind blowing peculiarities of just about anything to do with the children, and the utter weirdness of the ‘dancing’ time-lines – are the key reasons I am not willing at this point to rule anything out. Including the possibility of extraction – complete or partial, no matter how complicated.
I especially keep going back to that 25-35 minute discrepancy between what we can deduce on the basis of witness statements (builders seeing car between 2;30 and 3:00PM, shots heard at 3:30PM) and what the official investigation is trying to lead us to (3:15PM in Arnaud, trouble starting ‘as soon as they arrived” according to Zainab). I think there’s some kind of a special significance for this time gap. Sure, it could be that they just messed up the cover-up story – due to WBM reluctance to go along (ie, refusing to admit seeing a BMW pass him + refusing to take ownership of the 3;48PM call) and are therefore scrambling. But I have a funny feeling that there’s something in that 30 minute time gap that needs to be hidden as evidenced by the refusal to own up to the actual time of arrival of the BMW.
I think it’s possible that there are one or more witnesses we are not aware of, kept under wraps, so to speak – since they have possibly witnessed something that could blow the case sky high if known. What was witnessed could have even happened some distance away. just another reason I think it might pay dividends to scour through the old accounts yet again. As we are finding, though these were all discussed at the time, something is always missed because at the time it did not appear significant. I really need a good translation for that French video (presumed Innocent)!
About the blue bins (barrels).
I wrote about them on the first day. I did note that it is used for chemicals, but it was debunked by several people who said that such bins are used for fuel for the lawn mower.
Tim v.
I have another question for the question link.
13) Had sylvain Mollier ever worked – if only for weeks – in Arlit (Niger)?
There are still 4 French guys held in custody as hostages by CIA mercenaries since 2 years. The French would do everything and use all contacts and information to release them. All that secrecy could also mean that this is/was aboit hostages.
Arlit is very important for France as it is necessary for their independent energy production. Every country using uranium as energy would like to have Arlit. The war in Mali is about Arlit in Niger.
I would want to construct a relation of SM with Arlit or perhaps with one of the 4 French Areva guys still held in custody by CIA mercenaries.
Read this carefully:
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arlit
Iraq had contacts to Arlit!
And yey, there are French metallurgy workers in Arlit. They stay for approx. 6 months and are then replaced by new ones. That way a lot of metallurgy workers of Areva are going to Arlit.
Below see the timely coincidence of that message:

However what caught my attention was the other tab ‘Roadmap to the Bluecopter’

Eurocopter’s full resources are being applied to its bluecopter® technology programme, which is a continuous improvement effort for the company’s entire product range and focuses on five areas: emissions, noise, hazardous materials, recyclability and renewable resources.
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS?
Connecting EADS to Areva and transporting hazardous materials by helicopter!?
To me EADS and Helicopters wasnt an obvious marriage.
Arlit, CIA and Iraq

Bruno Chareyron (CRIIRAD) was actively researching radioactive Arlit uranium scandals.

For information regarding hostages, you need contact to trojan horses. These are spies who are working for several intelligence offices or else working for zhe second CIA.
In a period of 15 years we have linked SAH to many different fields from Boeing galleys to Small satellites.
Aerial photography using a plane is one thing suggesting photography is one of SAH’s more central interests though AMS 1087 wasnt set up by SAH but by James Barnett.
SAH is no novice photographer, maybe the photos supposed to be taken by him(as he’s not in the shot) were just not ‘professional’ enough, into the sun, heads cut off…..
Maybe SAH was on his mountain bike planning on meeting at Martinet and Brett Martin was the photographer and driver.
Niger, Imouraren and Arlit, Areva and uranium mining. Nice summary of all reports and scandals.
http://www.wise-uranium.org/upne.html
Maybe 2 months ago we spoke about all the duplicates we have Saad Al-Hilli, Zaid Al-Hilli and maybe Brett Martin in Australia too.
If someone in this story is being ‘made to do as instructed’ I favour that person being Zaid Al-Hilli and his interest in Nanobiotechnology on his facebook page.
http://www.bdlive.co.za/national/science/2013/01/24/researchers-try-get-a-glimpse-of-nanotechnologys-potential-risks
What better way of getting Zaid to continue to create the deadliest weapons ever than by ‘giving Zaid’s wife cancer’. Cancer being the second choice by governments only behind being ‘suicided’.
Zaid, still not doing what your told? Well there’s your father we’ll get friendly with him and steal his money. Now how about your brother Saad and his 2 young girls?
Marlin there does seem to be time in BM’s bike ride that is un accounted for he set off from Lathuile I believe at 2.30 pm but that needs checking .
I seem to remember along the way people working out how long it should have taken him to get to the lay-by and finding a discrepancy, I have no time to look it up right now.
