The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.
Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:
the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?
The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.
Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:
Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.
There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.
But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.
The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?

10.1.09 – “Mona Sahlin, leader of the Social Democratic Party in Sweden, participated today in a rally where Hizbollah flags waved in the air and an Israeli flag was set to flames. Other participants in the demonstration were Jan Eliasson, former social democratic Minister of Foreign Affairs and former President of the United Nations General Assembly, and Wanja Lundby Wedin, chair of the Swedish Trade Union Confederation.
The rally was organised by the Network Gaza Solidarity, in which members of the extreme left work together with immigrant organisations. The demo started at Sergels Torg, in downtown Stockholm, and then paraded to the Israeli embassy where the flagburning took place.” http://gudmundson.blogspot.co.uk/2009/01/swedish-leading-social-democrats-in.html
The other side of the coin? There’s a war going on out there. Only its never bee declared. Its generals are bureaucrats, its operations secret, its methods largely illegal and deadly, its currency intelligence gathered in whatever way it can. The trouble is that we cannot always be sure that the stated perpetrator is who they say he is, or that the “operative” is not actually unwittingly working for the enemy.
“Introduction
Since its emergence in 1982, Hezbollah has waged an anti-Israel campaign and guerilla war against Israeli
forces. The Lebanese-based U.S.-designated terrorist organization, which seeks to establish a Shiite Islamic
state that encompasses both Lebanon and Israel, has been implicated in numerous terrorist attacks against
Israeli and Western targets.
Most recently, members of Hezbollah were implicated by Bulgaria in the July 2012 bombing of a bus of
Israeli tourists in the resort city of Burgas. Hezbollah and its main international sponsor, Iran, have also
been linked to a spate of attacks and attempted attacks on Israeli diplomats and other targets abroad in
2012.
Hezbollah’s ongoing campaign against Israel erupted in July 2006 when Hezbollah operatives killed eight
Israeli soldiers and kidnapped two others stationed in Israeli sovereign territory. In response to the attack,
Israeli forces launched a series of strikes intended to remove the Hezbollah threat from its border and
cripple the military capabilities of the terrorist organization.
Prior to the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, Hezbollah, backed by Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards
Corps, was responsible for the deaths of more Americans around the world than any other terrorist
organization. An April 1983 suicide bombing at the U.S. Embassy in Beirut killed more than 60 people,
including 17 Americans. The following October, a Hezbollah truck bombing killed 241 American marines at
the multinational force barracks in Beirut. Hezbollah is also responsible for the 1985 hijacking of TWA
flight 847, during which a U.S. Navy diver was killed, and the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia
that killed 19 American servicemen.
In addition to its activity against American interests abroad, Hezbollah maintains a network of cells in the
U.S. and Europe. The American-based cells use funds raised in the U.S. through criminal activities to help
finance the organization’s terrorist activities abroad. Hezbollah uses Europe as an operational launching
pad for its members to enter Israel in order to assist other operatives, conduct surveillance on Israeli
targets and carry out attacks, such as the 2012 bombing in Bulgaria.
Hezbollah has also been tied to various Muslim extremist groups in Latin America that have proven
threatening to both American and Israeli institutions and civilians throughout the region. A March 1992
Hezbollah suicide bombing at the Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires killed 29 people and injured more than
240 others. In July two years later, a suicide bomber reportedly linked to Hezbollah detonated a bomb on a
commuter plane in Colón, Panama, killing all 21 people aboard, including 12 Jewish businessmen, at least
four of whom were Israeli, and three U.S. citizens. A day before the Panama attack, Hezbollah affiliates
bombed the Argentine Jewish Mutual Association (AMIA) building in Buenos Aires, killing 85 people and
injuring approximately 300 others. Hezbollah also maintains an extensive support operation in Latin
America that helps fund its terrorist activities both in Lebanon and abroad through the drug trade and
other criminal activity” http://www.adl.org/assets/pdf/combating-hate/Hezbollah-backgrounder-2013-1-10-v1.pdf
Was Suhaila al-Allaf, 74, the Hezbolla link in Sweden? I realise this suggestion is not very original but it’s clear (and we read very little about it in the British press) that the Scandinavian countries are pretty aggresively polarised left and right/anti and pro Zionist. It is also apparently a operational location for Hezbolla in Europe. Were agents closing in on Suhaila or her son? Was the story about her violent true or ruse to cover his protective custody. Was she double agent and pursued in fact by Hezbolla ? All just ideas for others to consider in the twilight hours.
A reader’s comment on the US Sandy Hook shootings:
“I get sick of people saying to me “If it was a government operation/hoax, they wouldn’t leave so many holes! It would be orchestrated down to the minutest detail!””
“Well, clearly, it doesn’t have to be! It’s full of holes and the public believes it. So there you have it. The sloppiest psy-op is completely workable!

There’s more info to be released today:
“State’s Attorney Stephen Sedensky III, who is overseeing the investigation into the Dec. 14 massacre [Sandy Hook], asked a judge not to release the name of a witness, saying the person’s safety may be jeopardized if the name were disclosed. He also asked that other information be redacted, such as telephone numbers, serial numbers on items found and a few paragraphs of an affidavit.”
http://www.oregonlive.com/today/index.ssf/2013/03/more_details_in_sandy_hook_mas.html
What could the witness have said to endanger his or her safety, considering the lone gunman is dead? What could the serial numbers tell enquiring minds?

Interesting stuff on the date coincidences. I looked up 14 Dec [Sandy Hook], but there aren’t many notable events for that day.

Bluebird.
Certainly a very nice place to study, back in the day.
The Eton of Iraq I would say.
A place for a high ranking diplomats son if ever there was one.
“Students had remarkable success in the government baccalaureate exams. In 1967 seven out of the top 10 of 30,000 Iraqi students came from Baghdad College”.
So it closed in 1969.
The same year Mr. Tawfiq Askar, one of the teachers died “suddenly”.
“Mr. Tawfiq taught at Baghdad College for the past five years, and was admired and esteemed by his students and fellow teachers.
His loss is keenly felt. May his soul rest in peace”.
Bit more history about the college.

“Even though I was dismissed from Baghdad along with 60 other Jesuits in 1969 when the Baath party took over the government, my Iraqi students have never been far from my thoughts”.
“The fact that the Jesuits made no effort to depart impressed the prime minister so much that he brought his two nephews to Baghdad College the following September.
After that, sons of prime ministers, governors, sheiks and professional men chose the discipline and learning imparted by the Jesuits”.
The context of the above quotation…
“A noticeable change in the attitude toward the American Jesuits occurred in 1942 during the Rashid Ali revolt, a short-lived, pro-Nazi coup d’état, when most Americans fled Iraq……”
Ali al Hilli in the final class of 1969 would have meant that he was a son of “the elite”.
Ali was in London in 1970 and graduated from Perth as an aircraft engineer in ’77. What year was Hashim killed ?
And why did Ali then go to work for “Iraq Airways” ?
This was now a country run by the party that had closed his wonderful college and murdered his father (if it had happened by 1977).
James
Hashim al Hilli wasnt killed.
In 1969 when Saddam took over the power, he was a high ranked diplomat in iraqi foreign affairs and working in London in the iraqi embassy as the country’s delegation chief of foreign affairs.
He was accused by Saddam being a spy for an enemy country and thetefpre arrested and tortured for some time. Later he was released and he emigrated to London where his family already stayed. His family said, that he was depressed and psychologically ill when coming back to London and that he was “another personality”.
We do not know for whom he was a spy. CIA would not have caused any problems with Saddam, because Saddam was a CIA asset, too.
MI6 is CIA. No problem for Saddam either.
Leaves us to pick from Russia, Iran, Pakistan or Israel. His family knows, but they won’t tell us because they are afraid.
However, Hashim was not killed.
James, it was not just Ali who went to Baghdad college. All of the al Hilli children went to Baghdad college. Even Saddam’s two stupid sons went to Baghdad college.

There “two” different schools.
Pre 1969 and post 1969.
Ali was pre ’69 (the last year).
That school was the elite of the elite !
I don’t think Zaid and Sa’ad went to that one.
It was the re opened…the “second” incarnation was the one that Saddam’s kids went to. I guess everyone likes to be “elite” !
I thought Hashim was killed…and Kadhim moved to the UK ?
James
28 Mar, 2013 – 12:28 pm Hashim came “back” to London post torture in 1970 as I understand it, apparently a broken man, quickly followed by his brother Kadhim and his sons. The puzzle relates to the nature of the relationship between them and the post ’69 regime in which Saadam Hussein took a progressively more prominent role until finally becoming President of Iraq from 16 July 1979. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saddam_Hussein
Were they mortal enemies or pragmatic alies? Given that business and property were left behind but not sequestered and somehow Kadhim’s estate was worth over two million (we don’t know about Hashim) the question arises how was this accummulated. Was it accummulated pre or post 69? What was the source of the £800 000 in Switzerland and why was it only uncovered on Kadhim’s death (if it was)? Incidentally has anyone investigated Hashim or Kadhim’s Wills which are usually publicly accessible I thought as per http://www.justice.gov.uk/courts/probate/family-history. Anybody fancy doing it?

28 Mar, 2013 – 8:07 am? Namely that you can always find association, but this in no way proves cause. I agree with that proposition from a empirical point of view, although this does not rule out the possibility that there is indeed a causal relationship.
The thing is, historical repetition in ritual is so common we almost take it for granted. Today HM the Queen gave out silver coins to local people, a tradition that is exactly 800 years old (or arguably two thousand) Religions are interwoven with States to greater or lesser extent. This clearly applies to the Jewish Zionist State which relies heavily on events two, three or four thousand years ago, for its current validity.
We know that the two attacks on the World Trade Centre were at the very least, aided and abetted by organs of the state. We KNOW that Israel has, as a matter of public policy (despite ironically rejecting capital punishment) carried out planned assassination against targets over a long period and continues so to do.
The question arises, in planning them, meticulously as they have to be, do past significant dates come into the equation? If they do it may be possible to use it as circumstantial diagnostic tool. Our Zionist “insider” Marlin certainly thought it possible as regards the multi-facited naming co-incidences of the Chevaline location.
So the fact that the Chevaline massacre happened forty years to the day of one of Israel’s most poignant tragedies, that initiated years of documented subsequent revenge killings, is not I would suggest, without significance. The other events of that particular day are added simply for interest.
Has the forty year “co-incidence” been high-lighted by anyone in the mainstream media so far. I don’t think so. that clearly for them is a step too far. Has someone else noticed it? I am sure they must have though I cannot remember seeing it referred to. So there it is, for what it is worth. But add it to the others and a rather interesting picture starts to emerge don’t you think?

I don’t entirely disagree with date “coincidences”. As we saw with the British SIS they went to ridiculous lengths in finding an appropriate code name for the Chevaline bombs. If they or other governments had the flexibility they might well plan an operation for some significant date. Something with meaning to themselves or to give a finger to the enemy.
Both Pearl Harbour and the attack on Israel in the Yom Kippur war were timed to take advantage of the target having their guard down because of religious services, though those were for practical reasons rather than symbolic ones.
The Chinese are great believers in selecting auspicious dates and numbers.
As an aside, there was, a few weeks ago, a very strange death of a young Chinese student in Los Angeles. Reported missing and her body found in a water tank atop a hotel, after guests complained of foul water and low water pressure.
There was surveillance video of her behaving oddly in a hotel elevator when last seen. In Chinese discussion forums, the Chinese who lived in the West, and Westerners in general, assumed she was zonked on drugs, while Mainland and especially more rural Chinese who have little experience with street drugs, argued she was surely possessed by ghosts or bad spirits.

Money must have been saved in England somehow.
Saddam wasn’t really into “garden leave” and “redundancy payments”.
In 1977 Ali qualified from Perth (Aircraft Tech College).
How ? Working “part time” as a barman ???
Why then did he get a job with Iraq Airways ?
This seems odd
Just a note regarding the news of Berezovski.
He had a broken rib although he had allegly “hanged” himself and he also had booked a flight ticket for a flight to Israel for the following day.No conclusions, just some additional facts reported by police. Who could have been scared of his scheduled journey to Israel?
Here is a speculation that Berezovsky was extradicted and that he is not dead.
Something we had speculated about Saad al Hilli, too. But then, why the story of the broken rib?

It just says that Ayad al Saffar is rich – which is correct. Nothing more of interest.
Some other speculations, incl Ayad al Saffar here: https://www.flashback.org/sp42634496
Short version;
Facts of Ayad al Saffar: Father was businessman from Baghdad. His father’s business in Iraq should have been confiscated, and they fled to Lebanon.
Ayad moved from Lebanon to Sweden 1984. Worked as market vendor and was flipping hamburgers.
Ayad al Saffar managed to acquire 2002 Ur & Penn ( a large chain store, was part of H&M ), after a few years, must have earned a small fortune in a few years. His version is that he was importing goods from Lebanon at low prices that was sold in Sweden.
Rumours of Ayad al Saffar: Earned the fortune due to contacts with criminals and/or people with high positions in Lebanon. Connections with Saddam is mentioned as an unconfirmed possibility.
Agreed James
28 Mar, 2013 – 9:21 pm Oddities abound. My point (sort of) was how if the Al Hilli brothers were chucked out around 1970, where did they make their fortune in general and that Geneva cash in particular? Of course Hashim had been at the top of Iraqi government for at teast two decades, more if you count it from ’38, so its possible he made money (corruption being rife) beforehand and passed it to brother on death in the mid eighties. Alternatively Kadhim made the money somehow, but its difficult to explain if he left with nothing and with little business in Britain as far as we know. So was Sadaam, despite the past, relying on them to manage some of the billions he apparently stashed away and presumably still somewhere. The fact that the 800 000 was untouched for so long has no obvious explanation. The Swiss police must by now be in the know where it came from and what Saad was intending to do with it. Of course they arn’t telling us.
BB and Thomas interesting stuff about al Saffar. So we have the Lebanon/Hezbolla connection. Was Suhaila working for British Intelligence? Was Mossad/Hezbolla closing in on her so both she and son retreat to safer Britain. Is the story about her violent son true or just cover? Why would he follow her to Britain if they hated one another? And how come he was sectioned and incarcerated in mental hospital so quickly? Was he really or was this to get him hidden as well. Was the French trip to get Suhaila away?
As to Berezovski apart from the fact that suicide anf hanging are completely out of character for this man the broken rib is significant. You don’t get one from hanging or even falling from that position. Much more likely from heavy person on top restraining. The similarities with Mahmoud Al-Mabhouh are not insignificant. There they were able to overpower and administer a drug, then kill very quickly.
B it seems was found on the floor so the ligature was not strong enough it appears. Another reason for doubt. No evidence of forced entry akin to Williams. Hanging from shower akin to Zygier. Does this constitute similar modus? Would he plan travel next day? Why the Israel trip and who was he going to see? Russian mafia obvious suspects given Litvinenko connection, but perhaps not exclusively. Clearly Mrs Litvinenko doesn’t believe he killed himself either. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/russia/9951385/Berezovsky-did-not-kill-himself-Litvinenkos-wife-says.html

With a background like this, it´s extremely odd that the swedish media don´t make any kind of follow-up of the story.
Could Suhaila worked as a nurse in Lebanon before Palestina? It´s pretty much closer geographically than Bagdhad.
