The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.
Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:
the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?
The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.
Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:
Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.
There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.
But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.
The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?
How many right-hand drive BMWs are registered in France, anyways? Most likely this is pointing us in the direction of a foreign vehicle, possibly SAH’s own. That would lead to a dead end, of course, and divert attention from any Peugeots (206/306) and any woman/man who saw one.
Still waiting for the Boston Merc to morph into something else.
And the RHD vehicle also strongly suggests a British vehicle. If the make, model and colour were noted by WBM, besides the very distinctive driver side, surely he would have noted at least an element of the registration. An ex-pilot trained in observation after all. And a foreigner abroad seeing a “home” car on a remote mountain road, and the only vehicle to pass, makes not noticing even more unlikely. We made these points months ago which makes the Crimewatch appeal even more bizarre. Are the British police saying this was a British vehicle and by implication the murderers came from Britain, or not?
Not at “3.20 pm” on that road I think NR

@ Tim V 3:01 p.m.: Since we have made many comparisons to Boston, we know that telephone conversations between Tamerlan Tsarnaev and his mother were monitored. How can it be that there was not a single person whose phone conversations were monitored prior to Chevaline? We know there is a monitoring station not too far away from where events unfolded, and SAH/SM had enough in their backgrounds to justify it. They knew where the phones were, tracked their movements and yet had no knowledge of anything that went on, despite months of investigation? Is this because the phones were Blackberries? Who favors the Blackberry: government agencies, the military, and even the U.S. president himself?

“Mr Lambert and his wife, who were on holiday with friends from Norfolk, said they were now cutting short their vacation and would be leaving tomorrow.”
Mr Lambert said they had driven back from a cave and waterfall past the murder scene at around the time the shootings would have taken place.
“We arrived back at about 3.30pm French time and sirens were going on constantly for about two hours,’ he revealed. ‘The police helicopter was up and we knew something serious had happened.”
If nobody was in the Martinet lay-by if and when they passed it, or if they couldn’t recall, it rather suggests the Al Hillis had not yet arrived when they did so. Also we must assume they didn’t pass one another on the way down. If all this is accurate Police have been able to fix these times from the beginning.

“Mr Lambert and his wife, who were on holiday with friends from Norfolk, said they were now cutting short their vacation and would be leaving tomorrow.”
Norfolk??? Who were they? Just wondering….
@ Tim V: The RHD vehicle would point in favor of the claim that the dispute at the root of the Chevaline affair is overseas. This was the conclusion out of the block, without any indication of what has convinced investigators that this is the case. Tunnel vision is a dangerous thing in any crime investigation.
What is certain is that people in a country where left-hand drive is used will notice a RHD vehicle. They stick out. How could someone suddenly remember after many months that the vehicle they saw on that particular day was RHD, and not LHD after all? As for the front grill, the Pajero is quite different from a BMW. You would think that any competent investigator might have shown the witnesses photos of various vehicles and asked the witnesses to look at the details closely. It’s particularly helpful to compare an image of a dark Pajero to a dark BMW. Surely any competent investigator would have asked probing questions, like, “Did the vehicle have any distinctive markings, such as a forestry logo?”
All this latest news has done is to reinforce the obvious. This is not an investigation, but a cover-up. The fairy tale continues.

@TIM It is very odd making an appeal after all this time .
Alexander from MZT drove to Chevaline and made a video showing the road and climb to the lay-by as you can see it’s quite potholed ,he also shows the view past the barrier back towards the lay-by .
He doesn’t pass or see a single vehicle or person on the climb to the lay-by, it was the same time of day as SAH but a bit wetter than when they were there in Sep.
Thank you Alexander.

“actually seen INTO the driving compartment, at least to have seen a steering wheel”
Or the UK registration plate ? That would stand out.
And thanks “Alex” on MZT for the clip.
Why the hell would you take a racing bike up there ?
You wouldn’t. That makes Clare’s fathers story unbelievable.
You advise a “road racer” to go up that route ????
And WBM’s story really is rubbish. He would have been playying “miss the pothole” had he actually ridden that route, which would have put him “nearly infront of the 4×4” had it what he said was true.
So…it is a complete “rethink”.
Mollier could have been hit by a vehicle.
The one that was used to block Al Hilli in with ?
Of course then he could have been shot dead after the Al Hilli family was killed.(makes the DNA “evidence” look strange).
And WBM. Where was he ?
At home ? In the bushes ? He was riding the route of course !
And the other thing that I keep thinking about…is that this was an “active crime scene”. WBM and PD would have had to give statements. There “vehicles” would have been secured (as they had entered a crime scene)….and yet no picture of that was ever taken ? All that “press pack” within 30mins to one hour !
The tow truck guy must have been fast !

Unrelated to above CNN mentioned that FBI took charge of Dzhokar’s security in hospital and wouldn’t let other authorities near him. Feared another friend-of-cops Jack Ruby obviously.
Not a media reference to the reports of TWO 200 round firefights, one lasting an hour with unarmed Dzhokar, the police said they engaged in. Suspect there’s something in Federal legistation: “Any police force that expends more than 199 rounds in a single firefight with terrorists is entitled to $10,000,000 cash plus 1 armored personnel carrier, and their choice of a helicopter or an assortment of drones — armed and unarmed.”

It couldn’t have been the Manx family because:

@Tim
I don’t agree that someone getting the general description of the vehicle would automatically clock the reg. They may or may not, it depends.
What’s odd about the manx family story is why they wouldn’t feel threatened or vulnerable in any way when there was no known motive for the killings – some deranged lunatic might still have been on the prowl, for example.
Who found this manx story? Don’t remember it being mentioned at the time… good find! 🙂
Also, the Lamberts say they’d driven back from a cave and a waterfall… how can you drive up that road to a cave and a waterfall if there’s a barrier.
Incidentally, reading the story again, I think the journo’s have munged it a bit, what he means is that he got BACK to the CAMPSITE around the time the murders were taking place (3.30pm) as that’s when they heard the sirens. Obviously they weren’t driving past the murder scene when it was happening!! Given about half an hour to get from Combe d’Ire to the campsite that would mean they were there about 3pm (but you’re the timelines expert).
Happy hunting…

30 Apr, 2013 – 4:05 pm thanks for the Alexander Cartier video. Something we have waited for. At last the complete route. My observations are that we now have an accurate time scale exactly six minutes from entrance sign to Martinet by vehicle. Thus IF killers 4×4 drove up immediately did the deed (as distinct from being there parked up) we can now be fairly sure the whole operation (from entrance sign to Martinet, the killing spree and the return to the same spot, and assuming no delay) took between fifteen and twenty minutes. A further ten minutes in each direction would ensure clearance from Doussard. Thus the reported fist telephone call at 3.48 pm has an uncanny resemblance to the time the perpetrators might have reported all was done and dusted and they were clear of the area.
There is no substitute for seeing the actual location. Ironically the “Sylvie Lecoeur corner” appears on the video 3.20 into it! And although there are periodic passing places, for most of the route passing vehicles would prove very difficult if not impossible. Even if passing a bike both parties would have to slow and take care, ensuring details could not be missed. Finally above Martinet it can be seen that the metalled surface follows the hairpin, in fact towards the location all early reports claimed was the murder spot, whilst straight on is merely gravel. I have absolutely no idea if this has any significance to the incident under consideration other than perhaps it is unlikely SAH’s BMW went beyond the point at which it was found. If it had it is likely that the tyres, embedded with gravel would have given the game away.

30 Apr, 2013 – 11:14 pm. I’m glad you got the point that they were BACK at the camp site when the balloon went up. They say they went past the murder site. We don’t know if they actually did. So the question is, if they did go past, how long did they take? We don’t know. It depends on all the variables. However if they didn’t stop or get delayed, and we believe the builder’s timing (2.30-3.00) it is conceivable that they could have passed SAH’s BMW in the lay-by or passed one another as they approached up the long drive. In either case it is unlikely they would have forgotten if they had. As to the registration of the vehicle passing WBM (twice) we are not talking about an average person on a main road. We are talking about a highly trained ex armaments specialist pilot in the RAF with subsequent management/behavioural expertise beside possible SIS involvement, most probably on a secret mission, meeting a RHD 4×4 in a remote location, where to pass one another both would have slowed to walking pace or faced of the metalled surface. Even had he missed the registration the first time round, do you think he would have missed it on the second, whether or not he had heard shooting in the interim?

30 Apr, 2013 – 9:14 pm the anorak reference suggesting Tamerlan was schizoid and violent is predictable and analogous to EM’s suggestion of a deranged killer escaped from a mental hospital. The Muslim Brotherhood was a creation of MI6. It is now being cited in the States as encouraging acts of terror. Al Qaeda was, it is alleged, the product of the CIA around which a wholly fraudulent claim of 9/11 responsibility was created. It appears inescapably the case that in association with policy over Israel, this threat has been largely created by the west to create an enemy in the public mind to replace the USSR. The whole operation carried out in the greatest secrecy by powerful individuals in private and public positions probably without the knowledge of democratic institutions. It would seem the plan is working.
Incidentally, for the record, last night about 11 pm an aircraft passed overhead very swift and low. This is quite unusual. It wasn’t a helicopter. It could have been a light aircraft but at night in the dark? There is another possibility. No surely not?

The Anorak piece is based on an interview done by The Sun UK which is well connected to UK SISs. Slapping anyone once is now considered evidence of violent tendencies as are outbursts in Mosques. There are violent outbursts in Christian churches over obscure interpretation of scripture, stopping just short of fist fights, with the outburster usually leaving the congregation and joining another down the street, or at times the congregation joins the dissenter and replaces the pastor.
I think in Tamerlan’s case there was, of late, some tendency toward violence, whether mental disorder or exacerbated by drugs — ‘roid rage a possibility as I said before. An old boxing coach said he previously was unusually gentle. Very good boxer and would take punches from less qualified opponents and keep smiling, when he could finish them with one punch.
Several Doctors Frankenstein demand the government give them Tamerlan’s brain to study. They’d find the area of the brain responsible for jihad, or more likely damage from boxing, which would further the active political cause of banning boxing and American NFL football. The good doctors will lose Tamelan’s brain fer sure as they did Einstein’s and JFKs.
@ Q — Note parallels to the Montreal case. Schizo, MMA bf, etc.
US Senator Diane Feinstein, for one, is demanding answers to the cause of the Waco explosion. Explosions in Mobile, Alabama and Michigan are forgotten.
“Do you think the only policeman to have allegedly died during the Marathon getaway might have known too much about the purported MIT pedophile ring uncovered by Aaron Swartz?”
http://aangirfan.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/uncle-ruslan-using-cia-agents-home-sent.html?m=1
They give a link to “Mother Jones” magazine which is about overcharging Swartz, but nothing about pedophiles. Another parallel to Montreal where some say the victim uncovered similar. Supposedly Dzhokar’s fed prosecutor is same one who bullied Swartz to suicide. CNN experts say there’s plea bargaining in progress — no death penalty for more info.
@ Bluebird — That worked fast. “Misha Pozhininsky, former Russian soldier. Tamerlan’s mentor is Misha.”
http://aangirfan.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/boston-bomber-links.html?m=1
Think you’re wrong about C. Williams. It was someone else who was aiding him with tourniquets, not him aiding Bauman. Though he does have an unusual skill-set. Another resume there is a Russian who’s done a nice tourism campaign for the city of Minsk. And they sell an $80 messenger bag — no match.
Surprising that CNN is asking “some” questions re Boston. Especially Anderson Cooper, an Ilumminatus fer sure, via the Vanderbilts. They briefly interviewed Uncle Ruslan again who denounced his nephews again. And the widow’s lawyer.
Not the really interesting questions. No press scrum yelling, “Ruslan, is it true you headed a CIA front org? Were you in the middle of Prince Andrew’s sale of his mansion? Do you think The Prince is connected to the bombings?”
Or they could confront fair maid Katherine, “Is it true gramps was Skull n Bones? Did you help Tamerlan with bomb making in your messy kitchen? Would Martha Stewart approve of your lifestyle?” That treatment is reserved for common people.
CNN said FBI now has a print from bomb bits. It can’t be either of the bros or that would mean the auto print ID system is as flawed as their facial recognition software. Nobody ever asked that all-important question about lack of match of pics to names. Who did finally make the match anyway?
CNN’s resident expert bomb-builder remains adamant the bros could not have built that many explosives with sophisticated detonators by themselves.
Detonation is now said to be specifically by steering-mechanism from toy car. Cell-phones forgotten. Expert said they’d need to check range of toy car remotes in advance, in an area with many buildings.
Aside from limited range, why toy car remotes? Aren’t bombers taking a chance that after they’ve armed bombs (where?) others might be nearby playing with toy cars, or are toy-car controls encoded with 128 bit or better encryption?
Why the 12 second delay between explosions? Were they hoping crowd from bomb site #1 would flee in direction of #2 and when that didn’t happen they set it off anyway?
What happens if bomb-making somehow connects to our good friends, AQ in the Damascus Suburbs? Do the bros become heroes? Like MEK, now you see a terrorist, now you don’t.
It’s magic. Terrorists transformed to freedom fighters right before your eyes. Or the reverse with Chechnya.
CNN did explain the various levels of terrorist watch lists. Didn’t know that right below The President’s Very Own Kill List is the famed No Fly List — many errors on that one — people not told why they’re on it and very, very difficult to get name removed. Presumably more difficult to get name removed from Prez’s Little List, except you wouldn’t know you’re on it until it didn’t matter. We also learned Prez only bothers vetting a few names at the top. Less distinguished targets are at the discretion of underlings. Raymond Davis?
@Tim
Appreciate your points re the timeline.
Re the original newspaper article, it stated:
“Mr Lambert said they had driven back from a cave and waterfall past the murder scene at around the time the shootings would have taken place.” [my emphasis]
At first (and even second) reading, one would have thought they must have been actually at the layby at the time the shootings were happening, which of course would not make sense.
So I’m assuming that what he meant was that they had driven back past the murder scene, arriving back at the camp at around the time the shootings would have taken place. But of course that’s just an assumption.
Malcolm Lambert also quoted as saying:
“‘We arrived back at about 3.30pm French time and sirens were going on constantly for about two hours,’ he revealed. ‘The police helicopter was up and we knew something serious had happened.”
And
“He said: ‘It’s a shock, you don’t expect things like this to happen. We don’t feel threatened or vulnerable in any shape or form. Nevertheless it is a shock being so close to where we are and with the people staying on the same campsite.’”
There are so many questions about this testimony it’s hard to know where to start:
a) How did Mr Lambert know at what time the shootings took place? There was (and is) a great deal of confusion about this.
b) How did Mr Lambert know the location of the shootings so soon afterwards? (Well enough to say he’d driven past it?)
c) How did he know “something serious” had happened? There are police helicopters and sirens quite frequently where I live, but I don’t immediately assume that there’s been a quadruple murder.
d) Why wasn’t he worried? The initial police idea was that it was an escaped lunatic, who would still have been on the loose.
e) Why did he cut short his holiday? (I accept it could just have been the shock, but it did make me wonder so I’m noting it just for the record.)
And who is this Malcolm Lambert anyway? Can’t find much on him on the web…
Re WBM, it’s not a logical corollary that he must have seen the car twice: it may have been up the combe all day, while the family had a long walk up to a cave & waterfall, for example. Or while the perps prepared their weapons and waited. I still think it’s possible he might have missed the plate, despite all his aeronautical training, or he might just be keeping mum, or the perps might have covered it up or used a false one. Plenty of options here – have to keep an open mind.

The plot or the soup or the fog thickens. Wasn’t there some ref to Saad al Hilli communicating with someone in Pakistan? Why does the much derided DM (not a reliable enough source to cite in Wikipedia) break this story?
Is this connected to the Saudi student who was injured, grabbed by citizens, was-of-interest, then not, flat searched, evidence removed, immigration docs altered 2-3 days after bombings, then declared innocent. CNN says even Fox News agrees it was just a big misunderstanding and only crazy Glen Beck, a tool of Israel, persists in asking questions.
“Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s namesake was a 15-century Central Asian warlord who referred to himself as ‘the sword of Islam.’ Sometimes spelled ‘Tamerlane’ in English, he was known for his cruelty. When he conquered Baghdad, he reportedly made a pyramid of human skulls from unfortunate residents of that city.”
@ Ferret 1 May, 2013 – 8:30 am
“And who is this Malcolm Lambert anyway? Can’t find much on him on the web…”
He was discussed at length either here or MZT or Ickes. Recall he worked as risk assessor for London Underground — 2005? — then same for private firm, until he retired to Manx. Does reporting for local Manx radio and photographer too.
Manx, Isle of Man, was named as a place Russian Oligarchs stash their cash. Came up in Cyprus bank crisis.
You raise many questions I hadn’t thought of. There’s also the UK people that owned the property that the builders — Laurent — were working on. They said as SAHs approached they thought it was the owners come to inspect their progress. They must have driven a similar vehicle to SAH. Another clue there wasn’t ordinarily much traffic that Lauent would note one car coming.
In the DM story, source says Saudi Arabia run Internet honey-pot pages to entrap potential jihadists, and shares info with US and UK. Might a naive SAH been ensnared? Saudis specifically name Yemenis and Pakistanis.
“The Saudis’ warning to the U.S. government [in 2012] was also shared with the British government. ‘It was very specific’ and warned that ‘something was going to happen in a major U.S. city,’… It ‘did name Tamerlan specifically,'”
“The written warning also allegedly named three Pakistanis who may be of interest to British authorities… They sent the letter, but that wasn’t enough. They then sent the top guy to meet personally with the president.'”
“He dismissed the idea that Tamerlan Tsarnaev was likely trained by al Qaeda while he was outside the United States last year… The Saudis’ Yemen-based sources, he explained, said militants referred to Tamerlan dismissively as ‘the volunteer.’
‘He was a gung-ho, self motivated jihadi who wasn’t tasked by a larger group,’… ‘There is no reason for anyone in Afghanistan to have in his thinking a scenario like this,’… referring to pressure-cooker bombs at the Boston Marathon. ‘He took the initiative. That’s why they call him “the volunteer.”‘… ‘The Boston thing is beneath them,’ he said of al Qaeda. ‘They don’t think like this. This is like a firecracker to them. They want something big.'”
Yet both Russia and Saudi Arabia thought Tamerlan important enough to warn the US. Not adding up. US Fox News briefly referenced DM story, CNN has not. Remember the Mirror story about the 12 man sleeper cell that not one other news source linked to, only the Drudge Report for 2 days.

Some news on Tamerlan’s mother’s family Suleimanov.
Magomed (Muhammad) Suleimanov was at Russian Court for murder of Russian Col. Juri Budanov.
But then there is more on the Chechen part of the Suleimanov family. I do not yet know the exact relation, but it is definitely a family branch of Magomed Suleimanov (who dropped the name Suleimanov when he was caught by Russian FSB). He has a new name now.
Magomed Suleimanov worked as a boxing and MMA coach in Dubai pre 2011:
http://www.dubaiforums.com/dubai-sports-forum/magomed-suleymanov-muaythai-the-foundation-for-further-t45753.html
Does Dubai ring a bell?
The other Suleimanov who changed his name to Barayev was this guy:
“Nord-Ost” … do you remember?
Movsar Suleimanov (Barayev)
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/chechnya-sl/message/30941
http://globaljihad.net/view_page.asp?id=849
http://www.globalresearch.ca/al-qaeda-and-the-war-on-terrorism/7718
So we have the Tsarnaev family deeply linked with CIA and the Suleimanov family deeply linked with the bloodest terror and the bloodest ransom money abductions in recent history (Beslan and Nord-Ost). Boris Berezovsky was the funding entity for the Chechen abductions, then done by the criminal Suleimanov gang (changed his name to Barayev).
I am even more convinced that there is a war going on to eliminate CI A team “Berezovsky” simply they dont need them any more and they know too much of the dark side of the CIA. Particularly when they turn their ideology (because the funding pot Berezovsky is dead and there is no new money) and consequently they might search for new jobs, offering their knowledge of the past plots, or starting to work for the other side, or worse – becoming Truthers.
I am pretty much convinced that al Hilli and Cie. were part of team Berezovsky in Iraqi politics. Like Litvinenko was part of team Berezovsky but killed for another reason.

Some good questions there Ferret
1 May, 2013 – 8:30 am. I suppose a lot depends on how long after the fact the interview was done. In conversation it is possible to speak retrospectively and conflate present knowledge with past experience. So by that evening as the news dribbled out, they thought “Oh my god that’s where we were today! And we returned at about the same time it must have been happening.” This converts to established fact when interviewed. It’s a well known phenomenon that people who just miss catastrophe like to report it. )”You know if I hadn’t missed the bus I would have been there”) This Manx couple were well discussed back along. Unfortunately I can’t remember much about it. His business connections were mentioned I believe. I’m sure BB or others will have better recall. Pity there’s not a search facility on this blog. As to WBM it is old news that from the beginning press reports specifically refer to the 4X4 passing him in both directions though no report I think report both simultaneously. If after nearly 8 months a BMWx5 has emerged it really could have only come from him at that time, if other reports are to believed that no one else was there. So why the delay as this would have been known at the time. And why the issue of the Mitsubishi Pajero that could not have been confused by a novice let alone an expert observer. I frankly do no believe WBM’s account of the vehicle – not that it did not pass him once or twice but that he took no notice of it and could not recall any details. A foreign distinctive car, a long way from home whilst on an under-cover operation, in a remote location requiring one or both to pull off, the only vehicle (other than motor bike) to pass and pass twice apparently, associated with a finding a subsequent gruesome murder scene. I have no doubt that WBM, the military man that he was, “clocked” every detail of that vehicle and given the subsequent events, racked his brain for every memory of it afterwards. Not only is his TV account therefore implausible it goes to the root of his credibility and role. The fact that the police are issuing a different description that must have come from him rather confirms the point.
