A Quick Intellectual Canter 235

This is more video of me than anybody would ever want to see, but here are three interviews I did over the weekend.

The first covers the legal action against the proscription of Palestine Action, Starmer’s summary courts for peaceful protestors charged with “terrorism”, UK and US efforts to legalise the Israeli occupation of Gaza through the UN Security Council, and French colonial occupation of New Caledonia.

The second covers the campaign to further the cause of Scottish Independence through the United Nations.

and the third covers the Gaza Trump peace plan and the future of the “ceasefire”

Should anyone have the time to download and clean up the YouTube transcripts I will gladly post them (they usually have a lot of errors).

Fundraising for the challenge in the Scottish courts to the proscription of Palestine Action is not going as fast as I would hope. Through all routes it is totalling £13,120, which will just get about get us to the starting line but not much further. The freedom of thousands of peaceful protestors could hang on this action, so please donate if you can, though as ever we do not want anyone to cause themselves hardship.

We now have a crowdfunder which pays money direct to the legal team. I understand that most people of goodwill have donated and donated to numerous causes in these terrible times. If you cannot donate, please help by spreading the crowdfunder.

    https://www.brusselstimes.com/1769044/brexit-mep-found-taking-russian-bribes-in-brussels

This case seems to confirm the speculation here, as to why they are stopping high-profile outspoken individuals like Craig, George, Kit et al at airports using counterterrorism powers. The article states he was stopped:

under suspicion of counterterrorism offences : taking Russian bribes while being an elected official.

Suggesting expressing views about a country, any country, even one we aren’t at war with, are a basis for suspicion of terror offences.

“Our investigation uncovered an elected MEP was taking payments to peddle narratives that would have had the effect of being beneficial towards Russian interests,” said the head of the UK Counter Terrorism Command, Dominic Murphy, who led the investigation.

“This case goes to the heart of our democratic values and as we’ve shown here, we will not hesitate to investigate and disrupt anyone seeking to harm or undermine these values and our national security,” he added.

Obviously taking bribes from any country, or rich individuals, to influence political behaviour is wrong and this individual should be punished. But since when is challenging narratives not allowed?

The man in question doesn’t seem to have said anything that you don’t see stated here, or repeated everyday on X, albeit without any inducements – financial or otherwise.

Imagine if pro-Israel MPs and journos were held to similar standards, would there be anyone left in the House of Commons and at these broadsheets?

    • Goose

The point I’m trying to make is; they put him under investigation initially because of his nonconformist political views. By all indications he was taking bribes, thus it turned out to be justified. But what if it had turned out he wasn’t taking bribes, and those were simply his honestly held opinions?

Is it right that terror powers are being invoked to launch criminal investigations into politicians whose views fall outside some ill-defined Overton window of acceptable discourse? And where does that leave our democracy and professed values?

      • Goose

It matters, with other parties finally looking like breaking the two-party stranglehold on Westminster. I don’t care for Reform politically personally – although, I do think they should be treated fairly – but the Greens, Plaid and Your Party are radical. The high-polling Greens favour recreational drug decriminalisation and Zarah Sultana has talked about a desire to leave NATO and declared herself overtly anti-Zionist.

Are those the sort of radical political views that form a basis for criminal investigations?

And the sick thing is, you can advocate for genocide, call for starvation; make frequent paid trips to Israel; enjoy fully paid family holidays in Israel and receive hundreds of thousands in funding from prominent British-Israeli dual nationals. And yet, still be sure the same people supposedly worried about protecting our ‘democratic values’ won’t show a bit of interest in any of that.

        • zoot

On the contrary, they pay very close interest. In Britain those are key indicators that a person is suited for the very highest political offices and media roles. That they are fundamentally decent and respectable.

        • Squeeth

Recreational drugs are subject to a prohibition that isn’t enforced except for other reasons. That’s what prohibition is for….

      • Stevie Boy

        Define taking bribes ?
We only know what we are told by the regimes spies !
Like the Chinese spies stories, I suspect this is more regime instigated BS.
I’m sure that data collection/spying is carried out by Russia, China, et al. But, I’m also sure it would be a bit more sophisticated than bribing some MEP non entity, plus much more is available online publicly and via hacking than these imagined 007 games would deliver.

    • Bayard

taking Russian bribes while being an elected official.

Except that the bribes were not Russian: further down the page it says:

During the investigation, counterterrorism officers found evidence on Gill’s electronic devices that he was in contact a Ukrainian national called Oleg Voloshyn. During the exchanges on WhatsApp, Gill agreed that, in exchange for money, he would make certain statements that were supportive of pro-Russia media being present in Ukraine.

      So what

“Our investigation uncovered an elected MEP was taking payments to peddle narratives that would have had the effect of being beneficial towards Russian interests,”

means is actually “taking payments from a Ukranian to oppose press censorship in Ukraine”. Now, while I agree that taking payments is wrong, do not the MPs in Westminster do similar all the time and is it not accepted practice, so long as the payments are lodged in the “Register of Interests”?

      • Luis Cunha da Silva

I am reminded that highly respected former English Prime Minister James Callaghan, when he was just a humble MP, was for many years the Police Federation’s man in the English Parliament. He was of course paid an annual retainer.

        • Stevie Boy

Also during callaghan’s time I recall the funny handshake brigade were predominant within the establishment. Many backs were scratched to ensure the right people were in the right places. And, let’s not forget Saville and all the other sexual deviants which were part of the establishment. The corruption runs very deep, still, and it’s nothing to do with foreign states.

          • Luis Cunha da Silva

I wasn’t making a point about the “establishment” or whether there were freemasons (or Martians for that matter) in the House of Commons.

My point was that Mr James Callaghan was for many years as an MP paid an annual retainer to presumably do, in the HoC, some or all of the things the European MP was accused of doing in the European Parliament (eg, asking questions, attempting to influence ministers, putting forward the opinions of the body which was paying him the annual retainer…).

      • Goose

        Bayard

Indeed. The fact is, minorities are being persecuted in Ukraine. One of Hungary’s Viktor Orbán’s main criticisms of Kyiv, is in their treatment of those who speak the Hungarian language. He argues for the restoration of language rights in schools and politics in the Zakarpattia region.

I think it good that this guy was caught and stopped from taking bribes though – there’s enough corruption already. And you shouldn’t need to take bribes when arguing for some legitimate cause. Are the UK police aware that the European Union has criticised Ukraine for its treatment of ethnic minorities, particularly regarding new laws that restrict their rights, such as language use in education and media?

But a more general point, there is surely something wrong with a political system in which, if you hold the ‘wrong’ views you get investigated.

    • Brian Red

Obviously taking bribes from any country, or rich individuals, to influence political behaviour is wrong and this individual should be punished. But since when is challenging narratives not allowed?

But what has it got to do with terrorism and the anti-terrorism police?

Another question is how would the MSM and parliament function if journos and pols weren’t paid by the very rich to influence political and other kinds of behaviour.

    • Luis Cunha da Silva

Are blue and yellow the colors of police vehicles in London/England?

Could the vehicle shown in Ms Badenoch’s X post be mistaken – perhaps at a distance – for a police vehicle?

    • Goose

Can’t believe the govt is endorsing these groups.

If Jewish communities require special protections, because policing is so inadequate, why doesn’t everyone else? Labour claim they oppose division, but nothing is more divisive than giving one religious group special funding to run a rival, parallel police force operating without checks and balances. One that polices the internet for ‘antisemitism’ and reports on British citizens without being subjected to any kind of oversight. It’s unbelievable really, and probably contravenes citizens’ rights and doesn’t meet any objectivity test – as they likely ignore vicious Islamophobia?

This isn’t a criticism of any particular religion, as I don’t think any should have such a role.

      • Stevie Boy

Two tier = divide and conquer, standard MO in Starmer’s regime. And, badenoch is fully on board with this and probably signed up to BLM and trans rights, etc.
Equal rights for ALL appears so passe nowadays. The dilution of equal rights eventually leads to oppression of everyone, and here we are !

        • Goose

Labour’s making a big play today out of that clumsy Reform MP, Sarah Pochin’s words, about forced diversity in TV adverts.

She’s correct, in that advertisers and TV show producers act like there’s a secret quota system in place. But their obsessive wokeness is mainly due to nervousness about a backlash if products or shows are seen as ‘too white’. Typically, minorities don’t like quotas and tokenistic inclusion. No one likes being rewarded for some reason other than on merit.

I personally do think there is an attempt to shoehorn diversity into everything in the Anglosphere. It’s especially obvious and jarring in TV dramas and movies based on historic events.

          • Stevie Boy

The reality is that the black, Asian, Jewish, Trans communities are a minority in the UK (~4%, ~9%, ~0.5%, ~0.5% resp.) with the white community >80%. Yet watching the MSM you would think the UK was an African/Indian/Jew/Trans outpost.
If the wokerati wants to increase racism, sexism, antisemitism, etc. they’re pushing all the right buttons. The trouble is IMO that all this sh*t comes out of London and the other big cities which are in no way representative of the UK.

          • Brian Red

“If the wokerati wants to increase racism, sexism, antisemitism, etc. they’re pushing all the right buttons.”

They’re doing the state’s bidding. That is not a rhetorical denunciation only. Trans flags for example have literally flown from state buildings, and the state’s media has literally promoted a “That’s great!” attitude for parents whose young sons take it into their heads that they’re girls in boys’ bodies – something that would cause any sane parent to try to help heal their offspring not to call a dinner party to celebrate their illness. While state schools have been told to come down like a ton of bricks on any child who says they know the number of genders is two.

It wouldn’t be accurate to link this with matters of ethnicity. Most people of all ethnicities know it’s insane c*ck.

The far right plan is to sweep away barriers to racism at the same time as they sweep away the trans bullsh*t. Which is terrifying because it could mean civil war.

    • Brian Red

Have you got a non-Muskian link to that? Couldn’t get to it at nitter.poast.org. Very interested in anything involving the Shomrim.

How are these payments, listed below by Israel, not bribes to service the propaganda of a foreign state?
Meanwhile a case at a magistrates court has been started over UK/Israeli dual citizens enlisting in the IDF in breach of the 1870 Foreign Enlistment Act. the case was started by the ICPJ because the UK authorities refused to act. https://www.icjpalestine.com/2025/10/23/icjp-applies-for-a-court-summons-to-privately-prosecute-a-brit-who-joined-israel-defence-forces-in-violation-of-the-foreign-enlistment-act/
This inaction might have been because since the state of Palestine has only just been recognized by the Government, and those duel citizens might have signed up before Palestine was recognized, however some warnings should have been made by the Government to those citizens traveling to, or contemplating same. No advice has been forthcoming.

Influencers Are Being Paid $7K Per Post to Boost Pro-Israel Social Media Content. https://truthout.org/articles/influencers-are-being-paid-7k-per-post-to-boost-pro-israel-social-media-content.
In a meeting dedicated to harnessing pro-Israel media energy on Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu alluded to a cohort of Israel’s influencers. “We have to fight back. How do we fight back? Our influencers. I think you should also talk to them if you have a chance, to that community, they are very important.”
Being paid by Israel to post on social media is also very lucrative. According to previously unreported recent documents, these influencers are likely being paid around $7,000 per post on social media such as Tik Tok and Instagram on behalf of Israel. https://truthout.org/articles/influencers-are-being-paid-7k-per-post-to-boost-pro-israel-social-media-content/

Much as I appreciate Craig Murray and his blog, and much as I appreciate his personal and knowledgeable contributions, can I offer a little advice, if his blog loses any readership he should emulate the Israeli government and pay contributors to his blog £7,000 pounds per comment. Starting with me, i.e. approx 233 comments to date [only a guess] @ £7,000 each = £1 million 631,000 thousand pounds. Craig, could you send me a check by return post. Thanks for your attention to this matter. signed Harry Law. /S

    • Brian Red

Most of the posts are written by computer programs, although it’s true that many many racist Jews do “community work” now and then, and get their “expenses” covered.

Can’t help but think that when you read and hear about what the state is doing vis a vis arrest on trumped up terrorism charges, mass prosecutions, the authoritarian cancelation of banking services, the lock out of people from all of their savings, the sacking of people from their jobs, the pressure on regulatory authorities to cancel professional licences from doctors, lawyers, accountants, the denial to the right to work, and the physical jailing of people is no doubt the reason why the Americans wrote into their constitution the right to bear arms.

Put simply the thinking was that people needed the right to have the facility to resist a rotten government that turned against them – and by rotten government, it is understood this included the potential return of the British. It’s a frightening prospect but where do people go when a rotten system turns against them.

Britain is now well down the fascist road. Fascism has arrived and it is set to get worse. The introduction of mandatory digital ID, blanket surveillance and monitoring, and AI will allow authoritarian fascist regimes to thrive. Technology will allow total control.

This is just the start of a very bleak future for us all.

      • Brian Red

Things like climate change-ising academia, local government, schools, employment policy, etc., are reminiscent of “Aryanisation” in Germany.

Anyone who doesn’t believe this should maybe go outside their local school and see what children are made to do in their artworks that are put on display.

People soon believe what they’re told to believe if the alternative is getting reviled, sacked, made homeless, losing what they value, being bracketed with those considered “worthless crazy anti-social scum who’ve probably got fleas”. Same was true with anti-SARSCov2 vaccination. Having avoided that vaccination is a real measure of a person’s mettle.

    • Brian Red

But in more direct response to your post, @Willie – I think, yes, a bleak future, but soon – and perhaps very soon – those of us who want to resist fascism are going to have make some pretty damned big decisions in our personal lives.

“Places” like this one may not be around for long.

    • Stevie Boy

      On a similar theme.
“The High Court has today denied interim relief, granting police access to the work phone of solicitor Fahad Ansari – a clear violation of legal privilege and confidential client material. This is an egregious violation of privacy rights and an unprecedented assault on the legal profession, striking at the very foundation of legal privilege and the public’s trust in the justice system.”
      https://www.thecanary.co/uk/news/2025/10/25/fahad-ansari-ruling-shatters-legal-privilege/
Any doubt that the government and all it’s departments are now controlled by our favourite victims ? ZOG.

      • Brian Red

Canary worry about falling public trust in the justice system. They sound about 14 years old.

Nobody at the sharp end of the justice system (or the “health” system, or the “education” system, or the “care” system) has ever had any trust in it. They know it too well. They know what it’s really like. They know that what’s important is for more and more people to be totally distrustful of it.

The right to have access to a lawyer is supposed to be ABSOLUTE.

Fahad Ansari sounds like an easy target. “The British state has a sinister history of such tactics, the high end of which was its collusion in the assassination of human rights lawyer Pat Finucane in Ireland.” Thanks, Fahad, for the heads up in 2025. Finucane was murdered in 1989. The law is just what the rulers can get away with.

  • Brian Red

Really time for people to pay attention to what’s happening in Britain in 2025. We’ve now had

    1. probably the next leader of the Tory party Robert Jenrick complaining that he doesn’t see enough white faces, and

    2. an MP from the party that’s way ahead in all the polls (i.e. it’s very popular), Sarah Pochin, complaining she sees too many black and Asian faces in adverts.

Nothing has happened to either of these scumbags.

This would not have been possible 10 years ago.

We are talking about appeals to the most braindead among white people whose blood boils whenever they see a black person reading the news on the TV or going about their business as if they have the same rights as a white person, as if they belong in Britain basically. The scary thing is that this is not being called out properly. It’s not enough to call it “racist” (upon which the guilty will of course say they’re not racist, at least for the moment). It’s necessary to recognise it properly.

The Empire Windrush was a stock reference for these morons for decades. Now it’s the government-encouraged standard name for immigration to Britain from the West Indies after WW2.

“Multiculturalism has failed”, we keep hearing.

Logic suggests that the 1971 Coca-Cola advert “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)” will come in for some flak soon. Racist thickos see that advert as the opening of the floodgates because…well because it was – shock horror – racially integrated.

Later that year there was the “Miss World” competition in London with one white contestant from South Africa described as Miss South Africa, and one black contestant who wasn’t allowed to be described as representing her country, because she was black, and who was therefore called Miss Africa South. I am anti such competitions even when they’re not racist of course, but that is where we seem headed back to.

    • Stevie Boy

I don’t know what Jenrick said and what the context was but the comments by Sarah Pochin, although clumsy, have been taken out of context by the MSM. She basically was commenting that main stream advertising is not representative of the UK population, which is correct.
Of course, the liberal wokerati are always going to dress up off-piste distasteful remarks as racist, even if they’re factual. Remember, free speech is binary, all or nothing !

The human filth Zionists Starmer and Lammy argue there is no Genocide in Gaza yet Lammy went to a commemoration of the Srebrenica genocide were 8,000 people were killed, this was officially called a Genocide, yet when the UN, ICJ, All the Genocide Scholars and the majority of the population of the world see it with their own eye’s it takes a peculiar monster to deny the obvious,
Here Dr Gideon Polya details the Gaza massacre in 50 numbers. This Unforgivable 2-Year Gaza Massacre, Gaza Genocide & Gaza Holocaust By 50 Appalling Numbers
“After 2 years of US-backed Zionist killing, Gazan deaths from violence, 174,000, and from imposed deprivation, 698,000, total 872,000. I have carefully tabulated this Gaza Holocaust in terms of 50 numbers that can be used in the war crimes trials of all the Zionist Israeli, US and US Alliance perpetrators”.
    Gaza suffering from 7 October 2023 to about 7 October 2025 by 50 numbers:https://countercurrents.org/2025/10/unforgivable-2-year-gaza-massacre-gaza-genocide-gaza-holocaust-by-50-appalling-numbers/

    • Stevie Boy

Lammy, Starmer and the rest of the detestable fifth columnists have backed themselves into a corner. If they admit to a genocide then they’re admitting they’re complicit, so they have to deny the obvious, even if Netanyahu was to come out and admit the genocide.
They’ll play the Blair card whereby they’ll admit it was wrong but say “we really believed it was right.” Doublespeak.

  • M.J.

BBC reports explosions in Gaza, following Netanyahu’s order for a “powerful” strike. It looks as though the genocide may be beginning again.
