A Tide in the Affairs of Men 323

Between ten and five years ago, specifically in the light of Brexit, it was not in the least unusual for Scottish Independence supporters to discuss a declaration of Independence as the way forward. Debate more often centred on who should make the declaration – the Scottish parliament or some form of national convention or assembly. Very few Independence supporters considered the idea outrageous.

On the day that the UK left the European Union, contrary to the referendum vote of every region in Scotland, Sturgeon called a set-piece speech and summoned the whole SNP party hierarchy to be there, as were all the Scottish and UK media. Nobody knew what she was going to say. The belief she may be about to declare Independence, or give an imminent date for it, was widely shared.

In the event, to everyone’s great puzzlement, she said nothing meaningful at all and made no effort to make the break with the EU a decisive moment in taking forward Scotland’s Independence.

In 2020 I stood for President of the SNP and my published manifesto included this passage:

As I was a British diplomat for over 20 years, including six years as a member of the Senior Management Structure of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, I can assure you that MI5, GCHQ and the other organs of the UK security state are targeted on us. Scottish Independence supporters are rightly perceived as the biggest threat to the UK state.

My intention is to ensure that we are indeed the biggest threat to the UK state. Anybody who believes that the security services are not already targeted on us is a fool. The security services would not be doing their declared job otherwise. This new legislation is a threat to us. Remember Pat Finucane. Remember David Kelly. Above all, remember Willie McRae.

All the more reason to strike now for Independence and get out of the UK.

Let us use the economic powers of an independent nation to build a fair and just society with no billionaires, no foodbanks and no children living in poverty. Let us build a nation with a foreign policy not dictated by the interests of the USA, dedicated to human rights, international development and support for the United Nations.

Let us move quickly to secure an Independent Scotland. Let our descendants be proud of us.

Nobody accused me of being some kind of unrepresentative outsider. The SNP leadership were so panicked that, the day before nominations closed, the sitting President was told he was retiring and being replaced by the extremely popular Mike Russell MP as the party establishment candidate.

Voting was restricted to Conference delegates, where the party leadership had a huge payroll vote. Even so I came second out of four candidates, with 25% in the final round.

In those days we had AUOB marches for Independence of hundreds of thousands of people. One in Edinburgh I timed as taking three hours to go past. We had marches which, as a percentage of Scotland’s population, were bigger than the equivalent two million person march in London against the Iraq war.

It says a very great deal about how far the Independence movement has come – and all of it downhill – that my article last week caused pearl-clutching and fainting fits in the Independence movement, for daring to suggest that Scotland should announce that it will declare Independence if Westminster continues to block a referendum.

The SNP leadership-aligned newspaper, the National, even accused me – on its front page, no less – of aiming to start a war with the UK.

Nicola Sturgeon had never been on a single one of those AUOB marches. We were told that, as First Minister, it would be too divisive for her to attend Independence marches.

It was, it transpired, not too divisive for her to attend trans-rights events and attempt to push extreme and uncompromising trans-rights legislation through the Scottish parliament that went way beyond what public opinion would currently bear. It was not too divisive for her to attempt to abolish juries in sexual assault cases.

Sturgeon led the SNP down a cul-de-sac marked “identity politics” and left it there. Naturally, anyone who queried this was a misogynist.

Remember, I was never an opponent of the gender reforms. I thought they could have been improved, notably by Michelle Thomson’s amendments. But I was never against them. What I was entirely against was the prioritisation of this issue over Independence. The debate should have been left until after Independence. An independent Scotland could sort out these issues on its own terms.

Instead the issue was used deliberately and entirely successfully to split the Independence movement.

The SNP is still in the identity politics cul-de-sac.

The SNP is now absolutely wedded, as a matter of doctrine, to staying loyal to UK domestic legislation. That course was set by Sturgeon; the Scottish government brought a case for an Independence referendum to the London Supreme Court in the certain knowledge they would lose, and deliberately argued the case in a way that was bound to lose.

The Lord Advocate even stated in terms on behalf of the Scottish Government the British nationalist doctrine that Scotland had permanently ceased to exist on the coming into force of the Treaty of Union.

The SNP of Sturgeon, Humza and Swinney is the only instance in post-1918 world history of an Independence movement which does not advance its case for national self-determination as a right in international law. It really is.

The notion of an Independence party which swears unshakeable allegiance to the legal system and political diktats of its occupying power is so obviously risible, it astonishes me, truly genuinely astounds me, that some people still do not see it.

The harsh truth is this: Independence for Scotland will only happen against the opposition of the UK government and by doing things which UK law and its Supreme Court consider illegal.

The enacting of Independence itself will – as the UK Government explicitly stated in its intervention in the Kosovo ICJ hearing – by definition almost always be illegal in terms of the legislation of the state being seceded from. But as the UK also stated, that is not a determining factor.

By abandoning the possibility of disobedience to the UK state, the SNP has doomed itself to waiting for London agreement which will never, ever come. London is highly dependent on Scottish resources. It needs the UK to stay together to retain its permanent member status at the United Nations. It is never going to agree to lose Scotland.

My own view is that the SNP leadership is riddled with MI5 agents, and that the rest are careerists who love the big fat pay packets they get from their privileged position as administrators within the British state. They will never risk all their personal material success for Independence. Their unswerving allegiance to the laws of the UK state is reinforced by their extremely well-feathered position within it.

Their plan for achieving Independence always boils down to this: if you vote us into our highly paid jobs again, we will actually do something about Independence this time. This time. This time. This time. This time. This time. Astonishingly, decent well-motivated Independence supporters still fall for it.

In 2014, at the start of the referendum campaign, support for Independence was somewhere between 29 and 32%. That is why Cameron agreed to the referendum – he thought the result would kill off Independence. Over several months of campaigning support leapt and finished at 45% – despite massive media bias against us, on an incredible scale, in a referendum which met no international standards.

Since then, nothing has happened. Alex Salmond resigned, Nicola Sturgeon took over and she deliberately took all momentum out of Independence campaigning.

This was Sturgeon’s speech at the Aberdeen conference in 2015. Members failed to grasp the import of what she was saying:

I don’t just want to win the votes of independence supporters. I want to inspire people who voted No last year to vote SNP too. I want them to vote SNP because they know we are the best party, with the best ideas and the best people to lead Scotland forward. Everyone, from the strongest supporter of independence to the stoutest advocate of the Union, has the right to know we will continue to govern well with the powers we have at any given time.

Independence support has gone up very slightly over the 12 years since the referendum and now hovers around or just over 50%. Nothing has been done to replicate the months of campaigning, enthusiasm and hope which permanently raised support in a 20% step change during the referendum campaign.

If you do nothing, nothing happens.

The SNP has done nothing. It almost never mentions Independence outside elections. SNP MPs never participate in Westminster by saying how the subject under debate will be handled in a post-Independence Scotland; they operate entirely within the UK framework. At Holyrood, if the word “Independence” is ever heard, other than in a taunt from a Unionist MSP, it is a certain sign that an election is shortly pending.

You cannot increase active popular support for an event which its own supposed advocates accept is subject to a veto by a power you cannot control, and which is determined permanently to veto.

“Sign up to surrender to Westminster” is not an inspiring slogan.

I sympathise greatly with those, like my good friend Robin McAlpine who have been so disillusioned and demoralised by the SNP that they have tipped into the slough of despond and – ironically – joined the ranks of the very gradualists they despise, because they cannot see a way out.

Momentum is important in politics. If you accept to stay stuck behind a barrier you will never achieve momentum. The only way forward is to say that the people of Scotland will refuse to be bound by the laws of the UK state if they offer no democratic option for Scotland to leave the union.

That is the only effective pressure Scotland can bring. My own proposed solution remains to threaten to declare Independence unilaterally if London does not agree a proper, international-standard referendum subject to international norms on media, franchise, vote security etc. And then to declare Independence if our demand for a referendum is not met.

This last week I have heard other proposals to defy London – holding an “illegal” referendum, ways of withholding revenue, ceasing government cooperation in various areas. They are all worth exploring.

Support for Independence will leap up another step change when we actually do something about it. Leadership sweeps people along with it. No country which ever became Independent did not have a substantial number of sceptics among its own population. History shows us that such sentiment soon dies following Independence.

You will look very hard indeed for an example of any country that went Independent and then wanted to go back.

There is a tide in the affairs of men which, if taken at the flood, must lead on to success. That remains today a crucial insight. Momentum is vital and to build momentum you have to surge forward.

It is equally true that stagnant water starts to stink. That is the lesson the Scottish Independence Movement must learn from the dead end of the Sturgeon years and from what then happened to internal governance and probity in the SNP. The answer is to abjure stagnation and to embrace the urgent need to move forward.

No nation ever achieved Independence without leaps of faith and acts of courage. I am sorry if that shocks people. There is no safe, agreed path to Independence, and never will be. The Independence movement needs to shake the parasites who hold us back.

Any articles and comments referring to the Communist Party of China (the CPC) as the CCP can be ignored as they are guaranteed to be simply regurgitating the lies and slanders propagated by the CIA and their satraps, as you have notably demonstrated above.

    • zoot

There’s huge frustration that the CPC has kept on delivering and isn’t owned by Israel. The counter-revolution to install figures like those who run Britain and the USA just won’t materialise.

    • M.J.

      @Jim Crint August 14, 2026 at 09:27
As I understand, the choice between CCP and CPC is a translation preference, not a sign of “CIA propaganda.” The first term in the expression “Zhongguo Gongchandang” can be translated either as an adjective (“Chinese Communist Party” / CCP) or as a noun modifier (“Communist Party of China” / CPC). Both are accurate.”CCP” has been the standard term used for nearly a century by independent historians, academics, and international news agencies like Reuters. “CPC” is simply the official branding preferred by Beijing. Dismissing real analysis over standard English vocabulary means you are ignoring a great deal of legitimate global research.

      • Brian Red

It sounds like a translation preference. But are you sure there’s only one way of saying this in Chinese? Certainly sometimes in languages such as English and French there has been a difference between e.g. “the CP of X” and “the X-ish CP”, with “CP of X” meaning more “we’re the local chapter of something international” and “X-ish CP” meaning “we’re the red-coloured part of X-ish society and its polity, we’re very well behaved, we love the national assembly, and we’d always fight on the same side as social democrats and traditional conservatives, even royalist ones, in any civil war”.

Scotland’s coloniser (England) asset stripping in action, hopefully coming to an end sooner than later.

    “Energy Export Arteries from Scotland

The Westminster Government is overhauling its grid to connect Scottish renewables to England. A lot of it to power its new data bases.

    The key projects are:
EGL1: A 2 GW subsea link under construction from Torness in East Lothian to Hawthorn Pit in County Durham.

EGL2: The largest approved project – a £4.3 billion, 500+ km cable from Peterhead in Aberdeenshire to Drax in North Yorkshire.

EGL3 & EGL4: In development, running from eastern Scotland (Peterhead and Westfield, Fife) to Lincolnshire and Norfolk.

EGL5: A proposed future North Sea link into England.

Each 2 GW cable can carry enough clean electricity for roughly two million homes.

These are not direct connections to individual wind farms.

Instead, they act as bulk export routes, pooling power from major North Sea offshore projects (such as Seagreen and Berwick Bank) and Highland onshore wind at coastal Scottish substations before shipping it south.

Scotland generates vast volumes of clean renewable electricity from its wind resources, yet Westminster’s centralised energy strategy treats Scottish power primarily as a resource to be exported south to meet demand, especially in South East England.

Scotland is already a net exporter of electricity and a leader in renewables. The EGL “superhighway” is being built to move that power more efficiently to England while the costs of constraint payments, transmission charges and infrastructure are socialised across consumers with Scotland’s generators often at a disadvantage under the current UK charging methodology.

An independent Scotland could direct more of its renewable surplus toward domestic high-value uses rather than exporting the bulk south.

This would allow Scotland to own and operate its own grid, set its own transmission & market rules, retain more of the economic value of its renewables (including for domestic industry, hydrogen, storage & data centres), & negotiate any future interconnectors on equal terms rather than as an internal region of a larger system.

The current projects demonstrate both the scale of Scotland’s renewable resource and the limitations of managing it primarily as an export commodity for the rest of the UK.

Communities hosting new or upgraded transmission infrastructure within 500 metres will receive up to £2,500 off electricity bills over 10 years (£250 a year from 2027) under a UK government scheme.

This is a limited mitigation for the construction impacts of converter stations and related works on Scottish coastal communities.

Data Centres and the Grid Queue: National Energy System Operator (NESO) figures show a queue of around 140 data centres seeking roughly 50 GW of connections – close to the UK’s entire peak demand.

Energy firms are monetising old grid-connected sites (for example, RWE’s sale of the former Didcot coal plant site to a hyperscaler for €225 million / £198 million).

The Eastern Green Links (EGL) – multibillion-pound HVDC subsea cables – form the so-called “superhighway” designed to move that Scottish energy more efficiently to English population centres.

These projects highlight both Scotland’s world-class renewable potential and the structural disadvantages of remaining subject to a grid that prioritises southern demand while imposing costs and constraints on Scottish producers.”

More on the power and land grabs in Scotland – I never want to hear about the climate hoax nonsense again – with these water and energy guzzling data centres which also pollute a site – about to be thrown up all over Scotland, everything is fair game in a colony, as our colonial admin line their pockets at our expense.

“The Scottish Parliament doesn’t return from its summer recess until Monday, 31 August 2026 & nothing of note has happened over the summer.

As of mid-2026, 24+ hyperscale AI data centres are being proposed in Scotland
These projects aim to privatise public green belt land.

This is a small part of what is being called a coordinated corporate “land & energy grab.”

A report by @APRScotland warns of a this wave of applications driven by land speculation, rather than technical need.

Companies are described as exploiting planning loopholes to secure greenfield & green-belt land, drastically inflating private asset values under a “green” infrastructure guise.

This is a “greengrab”privatising Scotland’s natural capital for massive corporate profits.

Crucially, developers are ignoring pre-approved government brownfield sites, deliberately targeting cheaper, highly profitable agricultural and rural green spaces instead.

The rush interfaces directly with Scotland’s archaic, concentrated land ownership.
    See work by @andywightman

The Scottish Land Act 2025 has been gutted and will take 2 years to go live.

The legislation and process to buy community land is opaque and not widely advertised to communities.

Meanwhile recent events leaked communications exposed private lobbying by the Duke of Roxburghe for a £2bn data centre on his estate, showing how tech giants partner with land owners & planning processes to get the jump on communities against community interests.

This corporate accumulation effectively privatises public land and resources.

The energy demand of the hyperscale data centres currently proposed across Scotland is 4,700–5,200 MW. That exceeds our entire winter peak electricity demand of 4,000 MW!

Clean, renewable energy is being funnelled to global tech conglomerates in Scotland & cabled down to SE England.

Communities in Lanarkshire & Ayrshire fear their local ecosystems will be destroyed by vast networks of private wires, battery enclosures & cooling units.

Pushback is growing. Councils (like Edinburgh) and coalitions (like Stop Climate Chaos Scotland) @APRScotland are pressuring the Scottish Government for a blanket moratorium on hyperscale data centres until strict national planning protections and climate assessments are in place.

Scotland produces a massive surplus of renewables, yet multinationals extract the wealth while communities pay high bills.

Only through independence can we overhaul archaic land laws, take full control of our grid, and ensure Scotland’s natural wealth serves OUR public good.”

    • M.J.

Huge data centres with their opaque development, noise and air pollution, huge consumption of water and power, loss of jobs (through AI) and low local economic return seem to me bad things. I can only sympathise with those who oppose them. I understand that “decentralisation” may be part of the answer, but I’ll let IT experts take this point further.

        • Robert Hughes

” “Project Panama is our effort to destructively scan all the books in the world,”

” destructively scan ” hmmmm that must be like ” peacefully wage war ” ” inject ” gene therapies ” for health ” and not to be outdone in stupidity, in Scotland give £1000s to assist ‘ chest feeding ‘, so that men can simulate actual breast feeding by producing some chemically induced slop and – unbelievably – feed it to babies; who knows the future consequences of this on the innocent subjects of this insane experiment and ( should be ) criminal indulgence of some men’s warped fantasies.

I think one of the aims of the whole AI * Project * is the rewriting of the past, reverse-engineering History. If ‘ they ‘ can in effect take possession of, eg Classical History & Literature, erase what is essential and insert ‘ revised ‘ versions, eventually those ‘ revised ‘ versions will attain the status of historical fact and verbatim renditions of what the original authors wrote.

There’s nothing knew, of course, about people TRYING to rewrite the past, and we know that, eg much of what was written as true facts by Roman Historians was little more than post hoc propaganda, glorifying the successes of the victors and demonising the ‘ Barbarians ‘. But what’s intended now is on a much larger scale and with more sinister motivations

We can see it in, eg contemporary movies ” based on ” historical events where White historical characters are played by Black actors, ditto Male characters played by women and vice-a-versa, and, with boring frequency, the LGBZzzzifying of historical figures not known to be such: remember the ” Jesus was ‘ trans ‘ idiocy ” propagated by some ‘ Academic ” a few years ago? I look forward ( to laughing at ) the remake of Raging Bull with Jake La Motta played by one of the current crop of ” trans ” thespians, eg Eliot Page, or maybe they won’t even bother with the pretence of a supposed male character/actor and just get Ru Paul to play the plucky pugilist.

Scotland again leading the way in absurd rewrites of the past……I recently saw a young person’s * guide to Scottish History * where the Picts were depicted as Black! Aye, next up, Robert The Bruce’s famous cave, where he drew courage and inspiration from the persistence of a spider, will be revealed to have in * reality * been a medieval ” cottage ” and The Bruce himself gay AF; well, y’know, they may call them ” kilts ” but, really, they’re skirts – * wink *

In sum……it’s all part of the ongoing #War On Reality.

Oh look! there’s St Nicola ascending to heaven on a brass chariot drawn by a team of gay horses

In your 1st post you complain about grid infrastructure being installed to export ‘Scottish’ power from ‘Scottish’ windfarms to power England based data centers; implying potential cabling capacity of 10GW (EGL1 to 5 at 2GW apiece). You hail ‘Scotland’s world-class renewable potential’.

In the 2nd article you bemoan data center proposals to be based in Scotland and hail Scotland as having a ‘winter peak electricity demand of 4000MW’ (4GW).

Which is it – data centers for England, for Scotland, for both, for neither?

Windfarm viability (such as it is and including green subsidies and network supply/demand balancing ie 2-way power flows) is based as operating within a larger (GB) interconnected network. Scotland cannot operate its network independently and meet your claimed ‘world-class renewable potential’. Neither would operation of such huge amounts of wind generation remain viable within such a small/low demand system. Any proposals for an independent Scotland to supply power (and for which generation facilities are themselves owned and operated by private operators) into an external network would have to be by agreement. Whether this would represent a positive or negative for Scotland has many dependencies and in particular future demand and its power profile and storage facilities. Not necessarily the ‘zero sum game’ you imply as a win/lose for Scotland/England.

      • Stevie Boy

Worth mentioning, IMO, that the UKs current power needs is only being met because of the various interconnectors between the UK and Europe. We are on a knife edge with regard to supply and demand, a massive failure is very probable in the near future. Renewables only exasperate this situation, and they aren’t ‘clean’ by any measures, and will ALL have to be ‘renewed’ within 10 to 20 years.
If Scotland wanted energy independence it would need to invest in nuclear, gas or even coal based generation. Free or cheap energy is a myth, you want reliable electricity you’re going to have to pay.

      • Republicofscotland

Hey first -off if your Ivan McKee – I used to vote for you before you became a treacherous gravy train b*stard, if your not that scumbag then ignore this comment.

Its data centres for Scotland that I bemoan, just like a SNP traitor (Kate Forbes) who acted along with the Tory Michael Gove to force “Freeports on Scotland.

Of course much of the infrastructure to generate power in Scotland is supplied by the private sector, which is fabricated abroad, Scots sold out yet again on manufacturing as usual by the colonial admin at Holyrood – of course you boast about the private sector, providing the equipment and cables etc, and likewise taxpayer subsidies – but you fail to mention that Scots pay a high price for their energy in Scotland.

I’m sure most Scots could live with a smaller power (nationalised) infrastructure (in a domestic sense) – if their energy bills were lower – its the greedy corporate sector and treacherous politicians who’d bemoan that set up – as their pockets would stop getting lined.

^ Interesting info on the intersection of “data centre” propaganda (or “AI”) and the Trumpian and hard right political scene.

      Quick comments

Things are changing as they always do. One can well ask what is “conservative” about this development, even given names such as “CPAC”, or about technofascism generally.

There has been talk of putting “data centres” (i.e. ultra big computers with lots of info about everyone and what they’re doing) in deserts, on land, and (by Elon Musk) in space. Let’s not get too distracted by questions of location. It’s hardly surprising that the Duke of Roxburghe wants a big chunk of this capacity to be put on land while Elon Musk wants a big chunk in space.

There has also been talk about naming…should they be called “data centres”, “AI growth zones”, or “critical national infrastructure”, and to what extent should they be linked with talk of the Yellow Peril. I imagine public health will soon get a look-in too.

As the idiotic term “AI” for “artificial intelligence” is on everyone’s lips, many now carry little computers on which a US-based advertising and surveillance company gives them the One True Answer to whatever question they have. This move on from “10 blue links” has probably been the most important cultural change worldwide since Covid.

Funny how no-one talks about “artificial happiness” or “artificial love”. I mean if you are going to attribute characteristics of life to long lists of instructions, why not go the whole hog?

Jason Arday has been found dead.

Another victory for the cesspit of moneygrabbing lying scum called Cambridge University. Its disgusting “vice chancellor” from the USA, Deborah Prentice, who said when she announced an “investigation” into the Jason Arday affair that the said affair was an “aberration”, remains alive. So do all the senior staff in its “human resources” office.

    • Brian Red

      Cooments here are worth reading:

      https://21percent.org/?p=4210

“This could have been any of us caught up in the Cambridge legal grinder, and very nearly was, in more than one instance.”

“This is so sad and I agree that this could have happened to me when I faced my own investigation. When it was over after nearly 2 years of fear and worry, I didn’t even get an apology. I said to my partner – “ if I die, do you think they will say sorry?” RIP Jason. UCam failed you!”

“Let us never forget that two months ago, when Professor Wyn Evans cried in court for the death of a colleague who had committed suicide, the official response of the University of Cambridge, via barrister KC Reindorf, was to accuse him in public of showing “crocodile tears”.

Cambridge showed no empathy or pity for either Professor Evans or the woman whose life ended unnecessarily. This is the culture that Gardner, Hudson and their ilk have birthed. One entirely without care, responsibility, duty or love, and in which those who do express compassion are shamed and humiliated as weak.”

“The sight of Sam Gardner giving the KC a “thumbs up” after that disgraceful incident is the worst thing I have ever witnessed from any university.”

“It was one of the lowest points of my life, and it got worse until Christmas when a doctor back in Portugal told me that I had lost half of my vision since our last encounter. I had absolutely no support from the University and indeed the University even used the post above against me to expel me as a Cambridge student because I was criticising their actions. The University completely ignored the letters from my GP, whistleblowing disclosures and safeguarding referrals from third parties about my state. The University carried on with their investigations against me and applied an unprecedented number of “precautionary measures” to silence and break me because I dared to openly challenge the culture of cover up of misconduct we have in this institution.

As some posters said above, this tragedy could happen with any of the victims of serious abuses at Cambridge University.”

      • Stevie Boy

It’s not just Cambridge, I believe he got his PhD in Liverpool, it’s the whole damn, woke, DEI infested infrastructure. This nonsense is everywhere in the west. Ability, aptitude and honest hard work counts for nothing. Colour, race, religion, sex is more important to the politically correct wokesters and is the main reason the west is declining into a shitshow. And those who this nonsense is supposed to be helping are laughing at our lunacy. The mistake is to think all this nonsense has just happened naturally, it hasn’t, it’s been planned and the results are all around us.
        RIP Mr Arday, another victim.

        • glenn_nl

Why don’t you ask The Hate-Mail or the Torygraph if you could get a column? They love racist BS like this. Alternatives are Stormfront, 4chan, 8chan…

          • glenn_nl

SB: You really can’t figure out that portraying anyone who is non-white must be a “DEI” hire – that none of them could possibly be qualified in their own right – is a racist construct?

Like any black person can walk into any job, no references or qualifications required. What sort of cartoon world do you inhabit where this is the rule?

“DEI” is an American term, btw. You’re parroting MAGAt talking points. As is railing about being ‘woke’ (as opposed to being asleep??).

Your (shy) climate denialism, vaccine ‘scepticism’, anti-‘woke’ BS – all MAGAt stuff. All based in anti-science mumbo-jumbo, and all deeply racist.

          • Stevie Boy

But Glenn he wasn’t qualified was he ? He cheated and that was overlooked by the wokerati because he was black. I have witnessed several cases at university where people were ejected because of plagiarism at undergraduate and doctorate levels. Checks were always carried on submitted work because it reflects badly on the university. This didn’t happen with Arday. Liverpool and Cambridge have questions to answer, not Ardey.
Equal rules for all, no special cases.
If educational standards are sacrificed on the alter of DEI we pretty soon end up with morons ruining the economy because of ‘beliefs’ rather than real science, as you know !

          • glenn_nl

Steve, it’s the fault of faculty, clearly. They were lazy, and the idea that none of them bothered checking anything is hard to believe.

Whether this is the fault of the ‘wokerati’ (another term popular with the far right) is rather questionable. In general, but particularly in Cambridge which is in the grip of a very nasty clique of far-right agitators right now, fueled by Yank tech-bros like Peter Thiel.

I say in general, because generally, people of colour don’t get such an easy time in life as the users of terms like ‘wokerati’ would have us believe. The tall white guys get that privilege. Most particularly when they’re connected, old public schoolboys, and so on.

That now dead racist Charles Kirk liked saying that if he saw a black pilot, he’d worry about his competence. I’d be more worried seeing a handsome tall white guy with an easy, winning smile, who undoubtedly had far more of a pass in life.

Appreciate your talking about it, anyway – please keep an open mind about this ‘woke’ slur, and how it’s being used to hide what’s really going on.

Btw, the morons really are already ruining the country because they have the most well functioning mechanism easing them into positions that one could conceive of. And have been for some time. This “DEI” slur is blowing smoke for them.

          • Stevie Boy

Why. Because it appears that he cheated and lied and fantasised. If he did then it is a gross insult to all the people who didn’t. Obviously, a lot of this is not his fault because it was the wokerati who put him on the pedestal by encouraging his fantasies and then abandoned him when the truth was finally realised. He was used by the system, now they’ll move onto the next vulnerable sap.

    • Robert Hughes

Very sad. But watch now as the people who by their DEI pandering brought that unfortunate man to such a pass attempt to justify their ideologically motivated idiocy by turning Mr Arday into a martyr.

In the end, this was J.A’s decision – an expression of our ultimate freedom as humans to terminate our lives: a decision that, every day, many others make. The frequency and * mundane * reality of suicide doesn’t make it any less sad; but it will be adding insult to ( self-inflicted ) injury if this man’s death is exploited for ‘ political ‘ reasons.

      May Mr Arday R.I.P

Here he is saying Jason Arday gave him the chance for a story to retaliate for being fired and start a ‘revolution’ against black people in academia.

      • Brian Red

@Robert – Why do you assume it was suicide?

One thing we can be certain of is that his death will be a relief to the dirty elite bullying liars at Cambridge university who will stop at nothing to protect themselves. They will already have begun “crafting a narrative” for the inquest.

        • Robert Hughes

I’m only basing that ‘ assumption ‘ of suicide on what I’ve read online, B. Do you have evidence to the contrary?

          • Brian Red

@Robert – I don’t have any information about the immediate causes of death. Some of his family members have suggested (without saying so directly) that they think it was suicide.

I can guarantee you that certain people will be anxious to control the narrative about his final days and hours. Those people won’t have any genuine compassion for his family.

I wrote to him a few days ago saying “Don’t let the bastards grind you down”.

Unfortunately he probably didn’t receive my email because this was shortly after he resigned from the university and they had probably already removed his access to his CU email account.

Don’t underestimate the nastiness of senior people at Cambridge University or any institution that packs similar power. They’ve driven more than one person to suicide, used courts and police against people out of nothing but vicious self-protection, offered bribe money to shut mouths, accused someone who was emotionally affected by the suicide of someone close to them (who wouldn’t be?) of crying “crocodile tears”, etc., etc.

In this case, they put out a notice saying let’s not forget there’s a poor ickle human being at the centre of all of this. The reason for their action may not have been what they would admit to. Certainly these are intelligent people and reputational considerations are extremely important for them. This includes a consideration of what they can or may be able to influence.

If anyone reading this is ever in a comparable position, be sure to say publicly, somewhere undeniable, that you are feeling fine and that if anything happens to you it won’t be as a result of self-harm.

PS I do not defend plagiarism. This isn’t the issue.

      • Brian Red

That investigation was announced before Jason Arday died. It’s the “this particular case is an aberration” investigation announced by Deborah Prentice.

        Things have moved on now.

        Prentice should
        1. resign
        2. make herself available for being questioned by real investigators.

And none of those investigators should have any links with Cambridge university on their CVs. Nor should any of their close family members.

This won’t happen though. I see even the prime minister has publicly responded to all this. But Burnham won’t take on Cambridge or Oxford, any more than he would take on the British Medical Association or the City of London.

Make that the entire Holyrood admin – and the building (Holyrood ) as well – check out the link for more eye opening info.

      https://nitter.poast.org/i/article/2046204216448827863

“The body that holds title to the Holyrood site — the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body (SPCB) — was created by Westminster through Section 21 of the Scotland Act 1998. The ground beneath the parliament that performs Scottish sovereignty is legally treated as Crown land, by an English Crown Privy Council Order that grants it that status across nine specific pieces of legislation.

The visible effects of this Crown Status treatment are narrow but precise. Westminster, through Crown Status, holds a veto over the physical fabric of the building that performs Scottish democracy — and that veto operates silently through planning law rather than any overtly political instrument. Any Scottish Parliament bill that would affect the SPCB’s ‘Crown interest’ land triggers a Crown Consent requirement under Rule 9.11 of the Scottish Parliament Standing Orders, procedurally routed through UK Ministers advising the English Crown before the bill could pass.

The operational effects are the evidence that Westminster is an ‘administering-power’ whose architecture is installed and running in Scotland through, in part, the mechanisms of the ‘Scottish Parliament’. The Crown’s Consent is portrayed as the procedural and physical gate on the Holyrood building and one that Westminster claims to hold the power to revoke via SI 1999/677 at any time. The adjustability of the Scotland Act 1998 itself exists as an instrument Westminster holds in reserve. This latent reach is the constitutional substance.

When a political pressure point arrives that Westminster cannot manage through Section 35 vetoes or Section 30 refusals, the legal machinery to extend Crown Status treatment, reclassify Parliament operations, or revoke the devolved treatment altogether is already in place. No new law required, the Crown mechanism simply activates.

This is the physical and legal architecture of an ‘administering power’ depositing its signature into its own statutory record.

The ground is Scottish, the perceived tether is Westminster’s.”

Speaking on Scotland, is it not amazing how the same West that fumed about “russian interference/influence/meddling”, for years, 24/7, now suddenly refuse to investigate how israel interfere in Western elections:

“UK Government Won’t Release Files on Israeli Firm ‘Meddling’ in Election”
    https://novaramedia.com/2026/08/12/uk-government-wont-release-files-on-israeli-firm-meddling-in-election/

On top of that israel is currently accused of meddling in France, Slovenia, Colombia, Togo, New York targeting pro-palestinian leftwing parties.
Meanwhile Israel keep insulting Western nations, recently Netanyahu ridiculed the UK, calling it an “islamic republic”, a dog-whistle term for the far-right parties within Europe. And the other week Netanyahu spoke about “fighting Rome”.

    Re. Jason Arday:

Andy Burnham says his death is a tragedy “on so many levels”.
Simon Baron-Cohen says there should be “accountability at lots of levels”.

Well let’s be specific. Here’s a level for ya: Vice-Chancellor. Prentice out.

    • Squeeth

What a shame; I’ve been enjoying the scandal as much as his hair do and now he’s dead, rather than a latter-day Barry Lyndon or Felix Krull, who took credulous respectables for a ride, because they wouldn’t risk calling him a chancer lest it rebound as a racism allegation. He deserved better.

      • Brian Red

Best to go back a bit further and ask why they hired him in the first place. They say they trusted their colleagues at Liverpool John Moores University. Anyone who has had contact with Cambridge University knows they are absolutely taking the mickey and laughing into their port when they say that.

If they go any further they’ll be saying they’ve asked Anglia Ruskin University to conduct a totally independent investigation into the situation in Cambridge University, and they will instantly adopt any recommendations that ARU make.

There are many people with many different ethnicities that they could have hired who wrote their own PhD theses, who have never plagiarised anything or lied about running hundreds of miles in only a few days, and who are fully capable of conducting great research into inequality in the official “education” system.

A huge pre-emptive revelation squelching operation by Cambridge University is ongoing:

    https://www.cam.ac.uk/notices/news/message-from-the-vice-chancellor-15-august-2026

Deborah Prentice, on whose watch this and other cases happened, is getting some digs in against Jesus College and possibly against one or more other colleges, and she is asking everyone who might have something to say to be “mindful of (their) wellbeing”…

More than that, and far from resigning and then effing off back to the USA, Prentice and her goons will now “be reaching out to many of you directly, and we are committed to ensuring that no one feels they must face this alone.”

What does that sound like? You got it.

    “Dear colleagues and students,

You will by now be aware of the tragic news of the death of Jason Arday.

My thoughts and deepest condolences are with Jason’s family and loved ones who, as they said last night, have lost a father, partner, brother, uncle and son.

My immediate thoughts are also with colleagues and students who worked with Jason in the Faculty of Education, and at Jesus College where he was a Fellow. Today, we pause to remember him, and to mourn his loss, which will be felt across the collegiate University and beyond.

I hope that this painful and difficult time can also be one of compassion. I ask you to be mindful of your own health and wellbeing, and in the coming days, weeks and months, please know that there is a range of support available to you. The University’s staff and student services are briefed and will mobilise their resources to those who may need them. Colleagues at the Faculty of Education will receive dedicated help today.

For students, please see the Student Support website for details of the help available at the University and your College. You can request in-person or online support with University services by completing this form.

For staff, please contact the Staff Counselling Centre. Again, these are very difficult and upsetting times, and I urge us all to look after each other through this period.

Finally, I want to be clear: supporting our community through this tragedy is the single most important priority for me and my leadership team right now. We will be reaching out to many of you directly, and we are committed to ensuring that no one feels they must face this alone.

Thank you, and with good wishes,
    Professor Deborah Prentice
    Vice-Chancellor”

Keep up with some of the victims’ news at the website of the 21 Group. (The reference to “21” comes from the fact that 21% of employees at the University of Cambridge reported that they had been subjected to bullying or harassment in the workplace.)

Anyone who wants to contact them should note their advice well: “To ensure confidentiality, we recommend using a non-university email address for all communications.“

    • Robert Hughes

“ …… be reaching out to many of you directly, and we are committed to ensuring that no one feels they must face this alone “.

So, immediately, it becomes all about those saintly, vulnerable ( supposed adult ) academics. Narcissistic solipsism now rebranded as ” Self-Care ” – a phenomenon that exists in the culture generally. Hey! anyone can be a victim now

Hear that screeching, nails-on-glass sound? That’s the sound of academic wagons circling, and if you listen closer, you’ll hear the unmistakable the sound of well-padded arses being covered.

Not that it’s any better on the ‘ other side ‘. Hard to say what’s the most repulsive, the utter swine of the UK MSM in it’s ” oh what a shame ” hypocrisy mode or it’s ” ‘e ‘ad it coming, nuffink to do wiv us, innit ” mode; really, they’re equally repellent.

      • Brian Red

By “we don’t want anyone to face this alone”, she means “we want to know exactly which of you bastards might criticise people in senior positions, and for what, and when, and who exactly you’re speaking to, and how we can influence you so that we can defend and advance our interests”.

…as if the issue wasn’t what the employers, under Prentice, did and continue to do.

It speaks volumes that the “21 Group” warn people contacting them not to use university addresses.

    • M.J.

      “What does that sound like?”

Compassion following the death of a colleague, I would say.

I don’t see why Deborah Prentice should resign. She joined after Arday did, and was then caught up in an inherited scandal. She’s right to order an investigation about recruitment processes.

To what extent Jason Arday’s demonstrably false statements or claims can be excused on the grounds of neurodivergence or psychological vulnerabilities, and to what extent he is to be held responsible, I leave to others to judge. But Cambridge and other universities are right to tighten the systems that allowed the various abuses to arise.

The tragedy may be that Jason Arday was a man of genuine talents and accomplishments, but his career became deeply entangled with inflated biographical claims. These exaggerations enabled him to present a compelling story to elite academia and the media, until they were exposed. If he had relied solely on his genuine, authentic gifts, he would be alive today, earning a comfortable academic salary, enjoying the widespread respect of his peers, and serving as an authentic community leader as well.

The story is not just a tragedy for one individual, but carries the potential for harm to others. It lends ammunition to false accusations that Black people of genuine accomplishment have not merited their positions.

      • Robert Hughes

” It lends ammunition to false accusations that Black people of genuine accomplishment have not merited their positions.”

The only people that make/would make that accusation are bigoted idiots, M.J. So that doesn’t really stand-up as defence of, eg Cambridge’s role in this human tragedy

The truly annoying thing is that there are plenty of Black people who could achieve what Mr Arday achieved; Cambridge’s error was promoting someone lacking the requisite qualities and – tragically lacking in Jason’s case – the psychological & intellectual strength to do so without having to falsify their history/abilities.

It’s easy to rail against the excesses of * Woke * ideologies, I do so myself – at times – over-zealously: but whatever the ulterior motives of, eg Cambridge ( ” look how un-elitist/progressive we are ” ) we should maybe make more effort to not throw the baby out with the bathwater. The ” baby ” being the admirable desire to create a better, fairer world; the ” bathwater ” being the self-regarding Virtue Signaling that too often goes along with it. The latter also too often the same people that support the Uniparty’s exacerbating of inequalities, wars and exploitative agendas

Cambridge University has admitted “screening racist emails and post” sent to Jason Arday AFTER he resigned from their employ. I wonder whether he knew they were doing it. Also did they allow him to receive the supportive email I sent him, saying “Don’t let the bastards grind you down”?

Pretty sure Swinney has as well; and you’ll recall – as part of his mission to never deviate by even a centimetre from Brit State instructions/agendas, that Spineless * pledged * to send Scottish Troops to form part of a wholly imaginary NATO ‘ Peace Keeping ‘ Force to the Land of Golden Toilets: the whole thing a ludicrous bit of Am Dram Theatre as, for one, rather crucial, thing, this ‘ pledge ‘ was predicated on Scotland having become Independent; something which he and the other members of the SNP Clown Troupe have absolutely zero chance – or even interest – of/in achieving.

This latest ‘ revelation ‘ is just yet one more example of the SNP’s complete corruption and the vastness of the gulf between what it tries to portray itself as and what it actually is. There no longer remains a single principle which it has not betrayed

      • Republicofscotland

Yes Robert I think I didn’t word it too well, the article says the SNP gave the monies just a year ago, so it was Swinney – Swinney often spouts the shite that his loyalty is to the people of Scotland, but you can’t become a MSP or a judge in Scotland without first swearing an oath of allegiance to the foreign monarch of our colonisers England.

Not gone into the death of Mr Arday very much.

All I can say though is that all of people accusing him of ‘ plagiarism ‘ do the same thing day in and day out.

    They are called the MSM.

Plagiarising Reuters – AFP – vox popping racist Martin’ and Mildred’s on TV.

Even the thoughts of Chairman Donal etc.

I am waiting for the Estate of Isaac Newton to sue Einstein’s Estate then Steven Hawking and so on and so forth.

In fact everyone is using my alphabet and forming words from my alphabet on here.

My people will be contacting your people anytime soon for plagiarism.

Not a scholar but, I’m pretty sure physics people would say ‘ Well Einstein said’

If that’s plagiarism all the media and politicians should be sued to beggary.

In fact AI is offering to rent and lease plagiarism on a very large industrial scale.

This tale appears to be based on racism from a known Zionist – so no surprise there.

He’s very pale and entitled looking too.

Belgium had a bit of an Empire and that’s the basis for the vast majority of racism.

I’ve been slightly surprised at how muted the response to Arday’s tragic death has been, Stevie, now that the usual suspects have their British George Floyd – who, for all his (fairly minor) faults, conveniently doesn’t appear to have ever put a knife to a pregnant woman’s gravid belly. I was half-expecting at least a dozen or so bizzies to be ‘injured in mostly peaceful protests’, as the Beeb would put it.

On a related note, I’m more than slightly surprised that Novara Media’s Aaron Bastani can go on GB News week in week out and say things like asylum seekers who’ve been granted asylum in the UK shouldn’t get a penny in benefits (which he did only a few days ago), and hardly any of his leftist colleagues & subscribers seems to mind – but when he perfectly reasonably referred to Arday as a conman on TwitterX, he gets forced into making a grovelling four-minute video apology:

Be careful or you might find yourself defending racist police next.

Kneeling on Black men’s necks for Jesus?

To know a bit about racism you need to know a bit as to how Imperialism and its ‘ benefits ‘ have soaked into the white working class over the Empire years.

The ages of Empire from Belgian Zionists to the UK are fading fast and a lot of the responses from the right and even the centre are simply those people who can’t let go of the perceived privileges of Empire.

Millions of them are on the benefits that Farage whinges about and some are working two maybe three jobs.

Some benefit that is to be sure.

It’s all like watching skyscrapers fall in very slow motion.

          Day by day.

Meanwhile The Chinese just get on with things quierly.

    • Tom74

It’s a good point. I know nothing particularly about Arday or Cambridge but it is certainly true that plagiarism tends to be quite subjective. If you look at the names of the authors and musicians who were ‘found’ to have plagiarised, they tend to have been either bearers of unwelcome points of view to the authorities or else threatened the positions of more ‘favoured’ artists. It’s an easy smear that is hard to prove conclusively. Arday plainly was responsible for some plagiarism but the news story was blown out of proportion for political reasons, resulting in the tragic result, and now our cowardly ‘journalists’ are closing ranks to protect their state informers, as usual.

      • Brian Red

@Tom74 – Several things intersect here for sure – in this business in which one of the main facts that everyone knows about is that a black man from a non-elite background who talked about inequality and was dishonest in some of his academic work has ended up dead at a young age – but one of the biggies is Cambridge University and the value of its brand. This then leads to the British brand, when we realise how the Cambridge brand functions worldwide.

Those who run Cambridge are as racist as f***. Their attitude is 1. to “get the clever n****** on our side” while 2. “assisting” the weakest among those who would otherwise be their opponents, for propaganda purposes.

This is the background to things like how they decided to spend some of their resources on investigating “the university’s role in slavery” and so on. Only the naive believe this comes from their having good hearts. It was totally cynical.

        • Brian Red

As many nicy-nicy reformists in academia are aware, the 1997 UNESCO declaration on academic freedom gives academics the right to criticise the operation of their own or any other university, and apparently this mustn’t be held against them when they apply for promotion.

Like academic freedom – yeah, right.

Gotta wonder what the weather is like on the planets that people who believe in this stuff live on.

Nobody employed by any university in the world would be allowed to stay in their job for long, let alone get promoted, if they published a criticism about their employer such as the one I just posted here – the last two paragraphs of the previous post. You can’t fight the system from within. Plagiarism isn’t ‘fairly subjective’ if the plagiarist has copied whole sections from other works verbatim without attribution, Tom, as Arday did in his PhD thesis. Cofnas and the journos covering the story didn’t need ‘state informers’ to catch him out. All they needed to do was input sections of his output into a well-known popular search engine and look at what results came up. By refusing to go quietly (likely with a substantial severance package) when he should have realised the game was up, Arday bears most of the responsibility for the story blowing up.

        • Stevie Boy

Alternatively, Arday could have said, ‘it was an experiment I ran to see if these white bastions of the establishment are ethnically biased and therefore not fit for purpose, QED.’

          • Re-lapsed Agnostic

Thanks for your reply Stevie. Good thinking: not just Sokal Squared, but Sokal to the power x. Then he could have become the darling of radical right podcasts, and more than paid the bills for a few years. Sadly he just wasn’t that smart.

      • zoot

Yes, the enforcement of academic standards in Britain is selective to the point of farce. Channel 4 News reported last night that Cambridge professor William O’Reilly kept his job after being found to have copied a student’s work and published it as his own, with a minute fraction of the attention Arday received.

Hard as it is to believe, British journalists and columnists do not actually care about plagiarism. They care about which plagiarist is useful.

A small child could tell you why this meticulously-selected cohort blew the Arday story out of proportion, especially when their pursuit of him was initiated by a race scientist.

Your wiki link and that for GR do not support your claim.

A cheap shot at the greatest physicist of the Twentieth Century.

        • Brian Red

Well Lorentz wrote in 1904 that m_L = m_0 (1 – v^2/c^2)^(-3/2), and Einstein published his own paper in 1905.

Only talking about special relativity here, not general.

Einstein’s summation notation is pretty cool. He also did original work on the photoelectric effect that laid the ground for quantum theory.

Someone told me he had a person at Princeton working full time on managing his image.

Tesla was a greater genius. Not sure whether you’d count him as a physicist or an engineer.

Geniuses can be evil of course. See Von Neumann for example.

          • Clark

This is just all Great Man theory nonsense. Lots of theoreticians could see the contradictions in the old theory, for instance in James Clerk Maxwell’s work. Relativity was bound to ensue, so don’t take too much notice of the attribution.

Burnham was already a fanatical militarist and is historically a warmonger. But I suspect he now also has Healey’s chickenhawk advisors directly in his ear. That is, Paul Mason and Chris Donnelly, the wildest of the wild.

We’re witnessing the synergy of total fucking idiots all over the West; who, having brought their countries to such a socio/economic shambles, see no way out of the shitshow they’ve created other than war as the ultimate get-out clause. Even though it may well all be – or prove to be, theatrical brinkmanship, by generating yet one more * Crisis *, ” Threat to National Security ” they’ll be able to impose all kind of draconian fiscal measures and deflect the growing anger populaces feel towards the succession of clowns that treat them with such contempt and have presided over significant decline in every aspect of their lives.

The imponderable is just how far these lunatics are prepared to go in pursuit of the aims referred to above.

Another unknown is how far populaces can be pushed before they, first of all, wake-up to what their * leaders * are doing/intending, and, assuming they do so wake-up, where and in what way their anger will be directed.

My concern is that * ordinary * people are subjected to such vast, divisive ( amongst themselves ) all-embracing propaganda the possibility of identifying the real enemy and taking the requisite action action them are becoming slimmer all the time

It is unfortunately true that Trump/Republican loyalists are reluctant to change their allegiance no matter what, as this BBC report shows. Their loyalty is like people towards their banks. Like the man in Tennessee said ‘What’s the alternative?’ (to Trump). We might of course tell him ‘Someone who isn’t a convicted felon’, but I doubt whether he’d listen.
Maybe Republicans in America need to suffer the consequences of their choices and learn the hard way, that no good can come of voting for a bad person. It’s too bad that their decision also affects the rest of the world. But the younger generation offers hope e.g. Zohran Mamdani and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Andy Burnham (and the EU) are right to continue to give Ukraine moral and material support, the tools to drive off the invader and preserve democracy in Ukraine, against the threat of dictatorship. Far from the online hyperbole, the UK has committed billions in non-military assistance—including up to £577 million strictly for frontline humanitarian programs and mine clearance, while European institutions have mobilised over €200 billion in total assistance to rebuild schools, finance hospitals, and keep civilian services running. This provides the vital tools to drive off the invader and preserve democracy against the threat of dictatorship.

            Слава Україні!

          • Clark

M.J., you’re falling for warmongers’ propaganda. Ukraine, its borders originally delineated by Stalin, was already split politically before the USA induced a coup there in 2014. Take a look at this political map:

            https://web.archive.org/web/20190824215313/https://squonk.tk/blog/2014/06/09/ukraine-russia-the-west-and-what-comes-next/

NATO did what NATO does, under predominantly USA influence. NATO is advised by the arms manufacturers, so it forever creates new conflicts. The vast majority of the Ukrainian populace want an end to the war, and many consider neutrality i.e. not being in NATO a reasonable way; I already showed you that polling, but here it is again:

            https://lordashcroftpolls.com/2026/05/ukraine-russia-and-the-battle-for-public-opinion/

Stand up for Ukrainians, not the arms manufacturers.

          • Clark

M.J., I find this hard to believe from you. Compare the Ukrainian situation with the Cuban missile crisis. The USA could not tolerate the USSR’s missiles being stationed so close to its mainland, and Russia can’t risk having NATO so close to Moscow.

This was all well known well in advance; it was even wargamed by RAND in 2019 (who actually advised against what you’re supporting):

            https://www.rand.org/pubs/research_briefs/RB10014.html

You’re right that Ukraine is a victim of Russia, but you’re ignoring the even greater aggressor, the USA acting through NATO, running a proxy war against Russia. Please reconsider that you may be cheerleading for the most evil empire that ever existed.

          • Clark

“You’re right that Ukraine is a victim of Russia” – now. But Russia didn’t want to invade Ukraine; it was forced into it by NATO. There’s a huge amount of propaganda about “Putin’s imperial ambition to rebuild the USSR” – but think for a moment where that propaganda originates – the same billionaire-owned ‘news’ media that supports Israel’s genocide and ethnic cleansing. Putin repeatedly tried to negotiate security arrangements with NATO, and even suggested that Russia should become a member:

            https://news.sky.com/story/russia-sets-out-list-of-demands-from-nato-in-draft-security-deal-12498296

The USA is trying to control the world. In a 2011 cable to Washington DC by the Stratfor Consultancy, which acts as a revolving door for CIA, state department, and US military intelligence personnel to jump between the public and private sector, Ukraine was described as “the cornerstone to Russia’s defence and survival as any sort of power.” Diplomats understood very well the importance of Ukraine to Russia, confirmed in a 2013 cable in which Stratfor described Ukraine as “Russia’s soft underbelly.” The assessment admitted that “for a western power, Ukraine is of value only if that power is planning to use it as a weapon against Russia.”

            https://wikileaks.org/gifiles/attach/29/29898_UKRAINE.pdf

            https://wikileaks.org/gifiles/docs/13/1346032_geopolitical-journey-part-vi-ukraine-outside-the-box-special.html

You’re not supporting Ukrainians, as much as you mean to. No; you’re feeding them to the insatiable US Empire.

          • Clark

            Note well:

            – “for a western power, Ukraine is of value only if that power is planning to use it as a weapon against Russia.”

That’s what you’re unwittingly supporting M.J.; Ukraine being worthless except as the USA’s weapon for world domination. I’m sure that’s not what you want.

        • Robert Hughes

The U.S may be an extreme example of the ” False Consciousness ” that causes people to persist in voting for obvious lunatics out of unshakeable ideological alignment, or, more mundanely, habit and/or because they don’t think any of the alternatives are better: tragically, in this they may well be right. Granted the example you give – AOC & Mamdani – surely would be preferable to Trump or whatever Corporate Zionist that succeeds him. And as still – for the time being – the world’s most deadly hegemon – the country capable of precipitating the most lethal carnage – the consequences of that type of ” blind loyalty ” are the most consequential for all of us.

But it’s really no different here – or anywhere else. Look at the * bounce * Labour is enjoying just ’cause Russia-Baiting/Friend of Zion TweedleBurnham has been swapped for Russia-Baiting/Friend of Zion TweedleStarmer; the former performing seal allegedly going to bring about a G.E next year in order – so he imagines – to give legitimacy to his unelected installation as Prime Puppet. People are unable to see/admit that Burnham is in every significant sense exactly the same as Starmer and will vote for him in huge numbers at the next opportunity. Though my money is still on the apotheosis of soulless Mammon Worship – Farage/Reform to be next in line to hasten the absolute ruination of the Disunited Clowndom

          • Brian Red

Burnham has been prime minister for a month. Gotta doubt whether his bounce will last even another month. Perhaps it won’t last as long as the pillock’s tan. The first time he is perceived as having to do something difficult or against opposition, his ratings are likely to crumble. If it turns out he’s still prime minister at the time of the next general election, it’s unlikely Labour will keep any kind of a majority.

          • Frank Hovis

            Robert & Brian,
Things will go on much the same here, as you imply, under TweedleBurnham (“Meet the new boss, same as the old boss” – as Pete Townshend succinctly put it). That is because if he had the temerity to follow his instincts and introduce a policy which the people who really run this country perceived was contrary to their own self-interest, he would be swiftly and ruthlessly “Corbynated”

To make matters worse, all of Venezuela’s gold reserves, totaling 31 tons, which are held at the Bank of England, will be transferred to the United States.

The value amounts to US$ 4 billion resulting in the loss of Venezuelan sovereignty over the resources.

It is masked as “agreement between Venezuela and the US” to give Venezuela access to its own gold. The US will give the gold to Venezuela, piece by piece, and the US will determine what for. Typically for buying US goods.”

Is British regime media turning the ratchet towards war with Russia, or is it just on exercise?

The ludicrous prime minister Andy Burnham who seems like Liz Truss Mark 2 is saying he supports Ukraine “100%”. Believers in parliamentary democracy may like to chew on the fact that that no promise to support the Kiev regime to such an extent was made in the Labour manifesto.

If the fool in Number 10 knew what “percent” actually meant, rather than talking in slogans as he poses for the cameras, he’d know that a percentage has to be OF something. So okay, London and Manchester can get nuked, can they, because it’s important for Russian places like Crimea and the Donbas to be ruled from Kiev? Would that be for the British national interest, for humanitarian reasons, or for some other reason?

No columnist is going to make this point, any more than the BBC will go out and vox pop among those they view as the natives and heathens of Salford and ask “Would you be willing to get nuked more than you usually get nuked on a Friday night, in an effort to put Zaporozhye under the command of a pro-Zionist comedy actor? And no, Zaparozhye’s not a new club drug.”

    • Stevie Boy

The British regime is not stupid enough to actually enter into a direct conflict with Russia, but it’s happy to fund suicidal proxies. However, these actions are guaranteed to lead to repercussions as Putin comes under more pressure at home to respond to the never ending taunts. In the near future there is going to be either a strike on British forces overseas or the seizing of a British registered ship. Any deaths will be directly attributable to the government.
The only purpose of these provocations I can see, is to increase MIC profits and to distract from the rapidly increasing decline of the UK.

As far as I can see no-one is taking note of how a much weaker country like Iran can keep a military mighty power as the US at bay and seemingly beat it.

Iran’s tactics are not to go head to head with the US ( they fire at the US – the US fires at Iran) they send missiles where it really hurts – Americas’ Interests ‘ in the Gulf.

And for now it’s working well.

Russia may have been watching Iran very carefully over the last 6 months and if Europe and the UK become further involved in the attacks on Russia they too will treat some European countries like the Gulf States.

          Way before 2030 .

If EU factories are built in Ukraine they will be targeted ( many already have) and if Europe becomes directly involved in firing these weapons then any European factories will be attacked.

I think that a warning shot will be carried out on a Baltic State as an example to Europe of what could happen if they keep pushing their luck.

Through all of this I have no doubt that the US will not countenance triggering Article 5.

They will stay out of it all.

          They always do.

The list is below for where the ‘action ‘ is and might be.

          WW1 Europe – yes

          WW2 Europe – yes

          WW3 Europe -yes

There is no question mark for the last one.

This is where it will start and not in The Mid East.

You don’t need a Crystal Ball to see it heading our way.

          • Robert Hughes

Indeed, Mark, Iran is manifesting with great intelligence the much bandied about concept of Asymmetric Warfare – as you say, so far with considerable success. As stated previously, the concern is that the lethal cocktail of Trump’s pathological vanity and fanatical no-number-of-corpses-is-too-much eschatology of Israeli Zionism may result in the latter’s recourse to using nuclear weaponry: though it’s reckoned by what I consider reliable sources that Iran has long taken this scenario into account and has plans in place to deal with it. It would of course be a question of the severity of impact ( of those nuclear weapons ) how much Iran – or any other victim of such horror – COULD respond.

I’m not sure the U.S would NOT get involved if it all goes supernova; but I am sure the EUK Idiotcracy is intent on provoking reaction from Russia that they – EUK – hope would compel the US to fully participate in what would almost certainly escalate to WW3 – with all the potential for global devastation that entails.

Certainly people like Brian Berletic are convinced it’s still – mainly – the U.S that is fuelling the Proxy War as part of it’s Continuity of Agenda: the aim of which is to maintain it’s global hegemony at all costs – literally any cost; a crucial part of which is the sabotage of BRICS, again, ” by all means necessary “. I believe it will fail on all counts, as it’s delusionary hubris is being expose for all to see in the Straits of Hormuz – Dire Straits indeed; see those Sultans Swing.

The question is how much more human ruin will it inflict as it’s imperial pretensions are shattered?

You may be right that the U.S, never having really experienced the awful consequences of war on it’s own turf – they consider Pearl Harbour & ” 9/11 ” to be such; both claimed many lives but a mere fraction of what being whacked with nukes would – would not countenance such a deadly scenario. I’m just not sure if the hitherto successful deterrent of M.A.D will prevail given the unhinged psychos currently in charge of the U.S of Zion and it’s EUK Vassalage.

Let me repeat this: full military honors and a gun salute for volunteers who were responsible for all kinds of war crimes: servicing concentration camps, torturing and murdering PoWs, deporting and executing civilians – mostly Russians.

A May 1944 report by ROA officer V. Baltiņš describes what he encountered after arriving in the burned Belarusian village of Morochkovo. Hundreds of bodies of women, children and elderly people were still lying unburied. Baltiņš asked one of the Latvian SS men why the civilians had been killed. The answer recorded in his report was:

“We killed them in order to destroy as many Russians as possible.”

Mykhailo Fedorov, sacked defence minister in Ukraine, is calling for elections, which is interesting. Presidential and parliamentary elections were last held in 2019. A presidential one was due in 2024, a parliamentary one in 2023.

If the photographs of massed crowds holding up lights on their mobile phones in support of Fedorov are anything to go by, brain cells may remain in short supply among the Ukrainian electorate, even despite the slaughter of many of their young and not so young people in this war. This is the electorate that has previously backed Princess Leia from Star Wars, Mr Punchy the Boxer, and a version of Jim Hacker from Yes Minister who pretends to play Hava Nagila with his todger, for high political office.*

Goings-on in British academia deserve our attention and not just at Cambridge.

David Latchman, a professor of genetics at University College London (anyone hear any bells ringing yet?), who also writes regularly for the Times of Israel and is chairman of the trustees of The Maurice Wohl Charitable Foundation, and who was found to have been “reckless” when he ran the UCL Institute of Child Health at a time when its researchers published a large number of papers containing faked data, has just been appointed Vice Chancellor of the University of London.

If the University of London goes any further in showing respect for UCL fraudsters, perhaps they’ll dig up Cyril Burt, a UCL academic fraudster from the past, and bring his corpse along to meetings, just as UCL does with Jeremy Bentham’s.

I learnt about Latchman from the 21 Group. Their material is getting rather interesting…

    https://21percent.org/?p=4224

Maurice Wohl was a property developer (benefiting from some juicy contracts in post-WW2 London) and president of the Jerusalem Great Synagogue. Latchman is his nephew. More than that, Latchman was his heir.

The 21 Group tell us that “The (Maurice Wohl Charitable) foundation made substantial donations to Birkbeck during Latchman’s tenure, including funding for molecular biology laboratories, a PhD scholarship and the Toddlerlab research facility.”

    Leave the kids alone!

Most people would think those who fake data to enrich themselves where child health is concerned to be the scum of the earth. In London, though, it’s a case of here’s the vice chancellorship, sir.

If I had the time I would look for a Jeffrey Epstein connection…

    I’m not sure how to reply to replies but, here goes;

    Robert Hughes.

‘ I’m not sure the U.S would NOT get involved if it all goes supernova; but I am sure the EUK Idiotcracy is intent on provoking reaction from Russia that they – EUK – hope would compel the US to fully participate in what would almost certainly escalate to WW3 – with all the potential for global devastation that entails.’

I have to say that the US so far has not been in a position to trigger Article 5 but, it was in The Cuban Missile Crisis.

That that was literally on its doorstep.

No surprise that they were perturbed then.

    Fortunately wiser heads prevailed.

Ukraine is not on the US Doorstep ( and I’m sure Brian Berletic – whom I watch and respect ) would or should know that contrary to popular belief that it is the US who wants to ‘ Balkanise’ the European Union – not Russia.

Sure – Nationalist Russia loses nothing by that – they ( like Iran) are not socialist -they are capitalist nations.

But, the US gains by atomising the European Trading Bloc that once was powerful and even clever into vassals of the US and it’s Imperialist Global Policies in order to try and keep its world Hegemony.

It’s not going well in the Middle East and is making Trump unwell.

I have the opinion that it is in Europe where it may all kick off due to the ignorance of Russia and it’s massive stocks of Nukes.

Ukraine could be evaporated in 30 minutes theoretically.

Which brings me to the second reply to a reply:

    JK Redux:

As an ardent anti nukeist I do not wish Nuclear War on any country – not even Israel or the US.

The problem is that the Big Mouths who have them and their various MSM followers and politicians
( say Wes Streeting – who thinks the UKs Nukes for the future are ‘ awesome ‘)seem to think that this is all
    some kind of a game.

And if only you can get your strikes in first there will be no comebacks.

Hence NATO’s moving closer and closer to Moscow in order to play that game.

It doesn’t work like that save for the stupid minds of Western War Theorists.

Like the fake Christian Zionist Piss Artist – Pete Hesgeth.

    Nukin’ for Jesus?

    Good ‘ V ‘ Evil etc etc.

I don’t know how many times to say this:

The First Strike Theory is so out of date it has got hairs on it.

If anyone these days thinks you can just sneak your nukes into Moscow without getting anything back is living in fantasy world.

Within 30 seconds to a minute with no response from Moscow, Russian nukes from submarines would be launching nukes into the US and Europe.

    Like 9/11 – ‘ Is this an excersise? ‘

    ‘ No – it’s real time ‘

It is extremely Hair Trigger despite what Wes says.

Definitely not awesome – it is extremely frightening to the world.

    Pear Morgaine:

‘ That would be the UK vs Russia then? ‘

Britain couldn’t fight its way into a Paper Bag these days – never mind out of one.

The only reason it has ‘ relevance’ is due to The City of London.

    Finance Capital relevance.

That’s all I can say about the UK really and it’s no longer in the EU.

Funnily enough, just as the US is ripping the EU apart Labour want to re -join.

As I said in a previous post- watching The Western World is like looking at a video

      Mark, thanks for the reply.

Perhaps we can agree that no State can hope to use nuclear weapons with impunity?

Of course Russia could “evaporate” Ukraine in minutes with a massive nuclear attack.
The territory of Ukraine would be largely uninhabitable, like the area around the Chernobyl nuclear plant.

Of course, the prevailing winds would carry the poison into Western Russia.

And Russia would be a pariah State for generations, losing even Chinese support.

Any misgivings in the West about supporting Ukraine would disappear and what remained of Ukraine would be a European military protectorate.

In “winning”, Putin would lose everything.

Happily the siloviki around Putin wouldn’t wish for such an outcome and would likely depose him instead.

Colby wants US strategy to move towards using tactical rather than strategic nuclear weapons in any future conflict with Russia or China. Potential use against Iran, which like Russia using such weapons against Ukraine, would be a self-defeating admission of failure, is another matter.

European Union’s Radioactive Environmental Monitoring recorded a spike in radiation levels in Turkey and Cyprus approximately 20 hours after the explosion. This increase in radiation has fueled concerns that the blast was caused by a nuclear device, (a tactical nuke) albeit a small one.”

“The possibility of a nuclear device being used has sparked widespread concern.”

“European Union’s Radioactive Environmental Monitoring recorded a spike in radiation levels in Turkey and Cyprus approximately 20 hours after the explosion.”

          • Pears Morgaine

Might not be speculative but it isn’t true either. There are 26,000 seismic monitoring stations across the world, including in Russia, China and the Middle East, watching out for just this kind of thing but who have reported nothing. Had it really happened they’d have been all over it, Russia might even have used it as an excuse to retaliate in kind. A magnitude 3 earthquake is no big deal anyway, over a million happen every year, the equivalent of less than half a tonne of TNT.

The very fact that the Western ran outlet – the European Union’s Radioactive Environmental Monitoring stood up and took notice – say a lot to me and others oh and I’m not playing the man, I’m playing the info.

          • Clark

I’ve checked all those links and I’m basically certain that wasn’t a nuke. Even if you don’t trust the UN or the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test Ban Treaty Organization, probably Russia and certainly China plus a load of other governments would have made an enormous fuss had it been a nuke. I have no idea about isis-online but they’d trash whatever credibility they have if they’d faked the easily checked satellite photos, which show damage inconsistent with a nuke. Basically, you can’t cover up a nuking due to the fission products etc. that it releases. Plus I know someone who watches for such things very carefully and thoroughly, who would have told me within hours if not minutes had anyone detonated a nuke. Plus plus, there was absolutely no need for a nuke, it was a munitions site, just hitting it with a missile would have ensured it blew itself to bits. So Israel wouldn’t have used a nuke because of their (typically pointless but cocky) policy of “nuclear ambiguity”, which they would have completely blown because you can’t hide a nuking. My verdict – not a nuke.

Pears Morgaine, your miragenews link is just a word for word copy of your isis-online link. You’re looking desperate, mate.

Not sure about “invented” but my understanding was that the Zionist entity does indeed possess the neutron bomb which leaves little fallout, although it leaves some.

        • Republicofscotland

That’s fair enough Clark you are entitled to your opinion like everyone else – the Zionists are always boasting about nuking this and that – even though they try to deny they even have nukes – which we know they have due to Mordechai Vanunu, as for Russia railing about the use of a tactical nuke by Israel in Syria, Russia might have kept stum to save its bases in Syria – afterall it did warn Assad what was coming – and he ignored the threat, so Russia didn’t put up a big fight to defend Syria – the what I call cover story, of an explosion at a scud missile factory that had been hit doesn’t do it for me – and as for satellite imagery, we know for sure private firms such as Planet Labs, has been told to withhold images from the Iran war indefinitely, but like I said at the start everyone is entitled to their opinion.

            Givir needs a Delilah?

I have read ( it may have been on the BBC around 4 in the morning -who knows?) the only things I have read it reported as a fire not a bomb.

As usual our deliberately un-inquisitive MSM will hope it’s forgotten about and are hoping for newer bigger crisis/tragedy tomorrow in order to carry on the Ukraine can Win – Russia can lose narrative.

The same MSM have not come to terms yet that the country they are all scared of has been stopped by a skint/sanctioned Middle Power.

I do and did suspect that certain Friends of America in the MSM were informed of the US/Israel attack on Iran but, they too were convinced it would all be over in four days and decide to say nothing until ……..it was all over in 4 days.

Then it wasn’t so they shut up.

Never mind Trump, none of the other Western Leaders have any ideas as to how to get out of the mess they have made in Iran and in Ukraine.

            Apart from more war.

I think we are moving into a phase of tit for tat in the Ukraine/Russia War.

It has and is happening in Iran/US War – Israel having backed out temporarily.

And all these tit for tattings could explode into some desperate and devious actions
            by all concerned.

Maybe the Italian fire/explosion was one of those?

Who knows ? – I think some in the MSM know but aren’t saying as it doesn’t fit their current narratives.

          • Clark

I’m aware of mini nukes, I have a lot of respect for Ted Taylor who designed them for Project Orion, and I’ve read his book The Curve of Binding Energy. I expect they’ve been developed further since his time, but I’m unaware of and can’t think of any possible technology that could suppress fallout of inevitable fission products from a nuclear explosion. Iodine 131, caesium 137, strontium 90 etc. cannot be disguised. The I131 is ridiculously radioactive at first. It would become hard to detect after just eighty days, but the other two wouldn’t be down to background levels for around three centuries. You could investigate whether a large area around the site has been quarantined, that would raise questions, but the fallout would have also drifted on the wind.

I expect isis-online really are quite dubious, as you say, but the biggest liar in the world can tell you that the sun has risen without it being dark outside. Russia, China and several other countries have their own satellite programmes, and then there’s photography from nearby overflights. Plus I seem to remember mention of neutrino burst detection in orbit – not sure about that last one, neutrino detection is hard, and I have only so much time for exploring down rabbit holes; ultimately, even if it was a nuke, it was just one, and not on a population centre, and there’s just so much to keep an eye on, such as Craig’s latest efforts:

RoS, when things get as extreme as they have over the past three years, our emotional tendency is to get fractious, to believe that the aggressors are capable of any evil – and I am sure they are capable, but that doesn’t mean that they are necessarily guilty of any given thing.

Amid all this emotional incitement we must keep cool heads, and remember that the aggressors, their agencies and their supporters may have – in fact probably have – seeded false rumours online, to encourage us to tilt at windmills in the hope that we will discredit ourselves, make ourselves look unreasonable and hateful. They want us to be hateful, so that they can condemn us for it.

We must stick to the things for which we have solid evidence – heaven knows, there are enough. They have boasted about their atrocities and posted them to their social media feeds. Fascist Israeli civilians have come out in mobs to defend IDF rape of Palestinian prisoners; we have Israeli media reports capturing it all on video. We have Israeli controlled demolition of Palestinian universities. We have settlers on video deliberately running over Palestinians’ sheep. The list goes on and on.

As for Trump and Iran, I’ve read that Iran will keep the Strait of Hormuz closed and even further strike energy producing sources in the region until the Mid-Terms in the US, hoping Trump does badly – which I think he will.

As for the Russia Ukraine conflict – further corruption in the Zelensky camp, has seen former Defence Minister Mikhail Fedorov put forward a challenge to Zelensky’s power via pushing for elections – Zelensky’s tenure ended in May 2024, and he won’t hold any elections – the WaPo described Fedorov’s intervention as a “remarkably direct challenge” to Zelensky’s authority – lets see how that pans out.

Worse the EU/UK are happy to continue to do this.

The question for the Western leaders is:

If the EU/UK are going to stump up the cash ( our cash – none of theirs) in an effort to build a War Economy to defeat Russia.

Then they say; we can beat Russia because it is operating a War Economy of it’s own ( basically a version of the old Cold War Arms race ) and the EU/UK want to do the same – will that not bankrupt the EU/UK Economies in the same way as they wish to bankrupt Russia’s economy?

Are you genuinely surprised that Russia with it Nuclear Arsenal ( I think it is the biggest in the world now) are thinking:

These Europeans are crazy – they are assisting in attacks on Russia and we have these things that could wipe Europe out in 20 minutes?

So, if you were a Russian Leader and you thought that having this ‘ deterrent ‘ would keep all comers from attacking you ( say like North Korea?) and it doesn’t seem to sink in and in fact NATO is moving closer – like playing What Time is it Mr Wolf (as if Mr Wolf won’t turn round) and tell you what time it actually is and attack.

            Back?

This is a dangerous game of bluff.

As far as I can see Putin has a Lawyers view of War- it has to have legitimacy.

Russia is a capitalist nation since the fall of the Soviet ( defend it at all costs ) Union and you and many others would call that ‘ Tankiism ‘.

If a Peace Deal is agreed then, Lawyer Putin wants it Signed – Sealed and Delivered like a pedantic Stevie Wonder.

The thing is – is can you trust the US and the EU/UK?

I don’t so why should Russia?

Iran doesn’t and neither do I.

This is a bit like the right to countries existing.

They exist currently because they are allowed to.

Usually because they are allowed to by the powerful.

A bit like the Romans and what we know as Scotland now.

Did Hadrian build his Wall to keep the Scots out or did he build it to keep the Romans in?

Nations and Empires are constantly in flux.

What was – isn’t and what isn’t now is.

Ukraine was and maybe won’t be in the future – I don’t know.

The stakes are being raised by Europe ( not necessarily the US) and all hell could break loose, due to the European’s trying to impress the US in order to keep them in the game.

My view is that the US will back out as soon as the European going gets rough.

We have seen the US in action and inaction and never forget everything they do is for the US and no other country.

There may be a possibility that in order to save face, Trump may drop Israel like a Lead Brick.

The 51st State of Israel may lose its Star – we shall see.

I’m afraid your ‘Pariah State ‘ theory after a Global Nuclear War doesn’t hold water.

There will be not many fingers left to lay any blame.

And the world will be not worth having.

    c) helped expose Jason Arday’s plagiarism.

This combination makes it extremely likely that he will become a lightning rod for the international hard right.

    This is like a super-Rotherham.

Incidentally Ghent University doesn’t smell of roses, because they knew he was a white supremacist when they hired him.

Not well up on Professor Arday a but, cynic’s would say ( and I am one ) that maybe Professor Arday may not have said nice things about Israel – hence the attacks.

I’ve not seen that, to be fair yet, I think it takes some doing to dig back to way back when whether it involve Corbyn or Farage as to what they said when they were eighteen.

That to me suggests state involvement, not just some casual searches.

      Begging the question:

Is there a team ( a big team ) of individuals who under orders from a State start digging around researching certain individuals?

I must admit that personally, I couldn’t be arsed digging that deep, as I know currently that Farage is a complete fraud and that Corbyn is an Angel with four wings.

What I’m saying is, all this digging around is not the result of intrepid journalism – it’s got to be MI5/6/ Mossad/ CIA or the brilliant journalists at The Telegraph and the Spectator.

The last two are cited as heavy sarcasm.

It’s well known that Israel/Mossad/zionists actively use their Palantir type tools to dredge up information useful to them from the Internet. If you’ve ever said anything, anywhere, anytime on the Internet then AI tools will find it. That also applies to this blog.
So yes, if Arday had been critical of the genocidal monsters it could be found and used.
However, it’s becoming clearer that Arday had used the system to try and suppress the rumours that began circulating about his misdeeds. So, maybe he wasn’t the poor, innocent sap he was made out to be and maybe he was something a bit more unpleasant !

In all honesty I don’t know much about Academia.

We’ve had the Eton lot in charge and that went well didn’t it?

          I always ask the question:

Why this – why now? for most things that the MSM stick in front of us all.

IF The Professor was a fraud then, he has been a fraud for a fair while.

If true – why has it taken so long to reveal his fraudulence?

The world of Academia seems to be full of ‘ educated people’ who seem to have learnt nothing.

They appear to be educated in judging others.

Then again, watching the MSM for the past years, everything ( including genocide ) is presented as a heart tugging exercise which ends with a hidden missive to the viewers:

‘ We can’t have view – we have to be balanced. ‘

‘ Therefore dear viewer, it’s up to you to decide who is right and who is wrong in all these matters. ‘

The MSM’s search for truth isn’t going to be followed by an opinion by any reporter /presenter.

What is chosen by the Editors is much more interesting in terms of – why this – why now?

In the Media Restaurant we are just the diners not the chef .

And even Chefs are not always in charge of the Menu.

          • Stevie Boy

Yes, very good question : why this, why now ?
My take, being an anti zionist, conspiracy theorist, is that the zionists are worried about Israel’s plummeting reputation and want to increase and strengthen their hold within the UK. Their standard MO is to sow disruption amongst the establishment to enable them to move in and take control. The disruptions we see everywhere revolves around sex, race, religion and their freedoms within the community.
So, why this. Well Arday ticks all the sex, race, religion boxes and is ‘obvious’ a victim like the chosen people.
Why now. Israel is losing the PR war and needs distractions from its continued genocide to enable the greater israel project to continue and to protect Netanyahu.
My take, other opinions may exist, we’ll never know !

In its defence against Donald Trump’s defamation suit, the British regime’s broadcaster, the BBC, has applied to subpoena Jared Kushner, Donald Trump Jr, and Ivanka Trump. That’ll be the day.

    • MARK M CUTTS

      Brian Red.

All three might need protection by seeking asylum in the Venezuelan Embassy in the US.
      .
The US claims it’s on good terms with Venezuela now.

Of course the UK can then make the US hand them over to The TrialCourt.

      Sort of State Extradition.

And of course Pigs will fly.
