Joint Enterprise on Torture 189

The law is not blind in this country – “joint enterprise” is used almost exclusively against young black men. But I can see no reason why the principle of joint enterpirse should not apply equally to those who set the policy under which people were rendered to be tortured in Libya, rather than merely to the security service functionaries who carried out the policy. In my reading of joint enterprise, if Ministers can show they were not involved in signing off individual rendition permissions, they should still be guilty for having participated in the behaviour that made such results likely, indeed inevitable.

I have given evidence to parliament that I was told, officially, as a British Ambassador, that Jack Straw had initiated a policy of using intelligence obtained by torture. I also testified before parliament that this was an unacknowledged policy which I was told, officially, should not be discussed in writing. The government has at no stage attempted to deny the truth of my account. The government did not submit evidence to the Parliamentary committee to claim that my account was untrue. The government has nowhere stated that my evidence is untrue; they prefer to rely on private media briefings to claim, untruly, that I am mad and alcoholic.

I shall tell the police that those involved in rendering persons to be Libya to be tortured were doing so in keeping with a War on Terror torture intelligence programme authorised by Jack Straw. It is no secret what I will say; here I am saying it.

Of course, I realise that the Crown Prosecution Service and the Met will, three years hence, claim there were no grounds to prosecute anybody. I am not that naive. But the fact of a formal police investigation will force some attention on whether or not my account is true. Ignoring the facts and just being rude about me is less easy in a criminal investigation.

That peacenow.org website might as well have been written by JSOC. Those are some of the lamest phoney grassroots I’ve ever seen. Can’t they even drop the government-issue militarist jargon long enough to fool some tender-hearted rubes?

Pretty much what you’d expect from the Zionist imbeciles who accidentally sterilized their population with poisoned uranium weapons and are now rapidly zooming toward extinction.

Mary, who sent that peacenow.org website? It might as well have been written by JSOC. Those are some of the lamest phoney grassroots I’ve ever seen. Can’t they even drop the government-issue militarist jargon long enough to fool some tender-hearted rubes?

Overall it’s pretty much what you’d expect from the Zionist nitwits who accidentally sterilized their population with poisoned uranium weapons and are now rapidly zooming toward extinction.

Ingo; Impressive. You read the pdf in November and found no need to refresh. You don’t dispute the Iranian need to compete on the global weapon market.

Netanyahoo is a goon, but I don’t trust the Ayatollahs any more than I do Bibi.

I don’t’ trust the Yanks either, but don’t go around advocating to bomb the crap out of US, and make the place democratic again as per its constitution.

hope you’re better soon Craig. If you didn’t think vegetarianism made you gay you could eat Quorn and soya ones without the same risk 😉 (Tesco meat free lincolnshire style ones are pretty tasy)

I will try to remember on Judgement Day to plead excuses for typos in my book of deeds. Don’t think it will help much though.

The tension in Libya and Syria reminds me of Masada where the Jews who were holding out against the Romans committed suicide.
The political classes and Rabbis etc were living it up in safety outside the promised land and a remnant of ordinary Jews to whom traditional culture and religion were the same had not adapted to change. Jihadists followers of Jesus pbuh were rotting in vast numbers in political prisons like today.
    .
I put myself in that Masada position. We did not support our dictators , the Gaddafis, Saddams, Blairs or Camerons. We were afraid of joining jihad because we knew that many of us had been sold to the Romans by the likes of Saul and framed for false-flag crimes or end up being tortured or fed to lions. We kept our heads down because there was so much politics between the different factions of the followers of Jesus pbuh. When the repercussions from Rome came, it was us peaceful traditionalists who were cornered and forced to suicide, not the trouble-stirring jihadists following Jesus peace be upon him.
    .
And then the jihadists started to work with and eventually convert the Pagans. Then we were doomed. The jihadists started to persuade the Romans to remove us traditionalists and take over the Holy Land, control the ports and caravan routes to Persia and India for themselves. We had never been the enemy of Rome, we had been the peaceful worshippers, who had become warriors to defend our families and children from foreign invasion. But we got the blame for all the problems caused by the politicians and Rabbis, who were now in exile. It was not the fear of Roman sword and rape that made us kill ourselves, but the betrayal by our own leaders, who were lining their pockets far from the Holy Land.
And shame because we had not had the courage or madness to join the followers of the new prophet Jesus, peace be upon him.
We had just carried on doing our own thing. Muslims contra Romans @ Masada 73 AD. Muslims contra US forces Libya and Syria post Arab Spring 2015.

    A commentator @empty wheel asks a question of Craig…

“‘Matthew Gould was Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Iran, a country which Werritty frequently visited, and where Werritty claimed to have British government support for plots against Ahmadinejad. Gould worked at the British Embassy in Washington; the Fox-Werritty Atlantic Bridge fake charity was active in building links between British and American neo-conservatives and particularly ultra-zionists. Gould’s responsibilities at the Embassy included co-ordination on US policy towards Iran. The first meeting of all three, which the FCO refuses to date, probably stems from this period.’

Is there any chance that Mr. Murray could point us to these NeoCons and U-Z’s? I know war criminal Henry Kissinger is still in Washington promoting kill the world, but who else?”

  • Mark Golding - Children of Iraq

    From the British Embassy Israel:
    .
    1. Iran is continuing to enrich uranium up to 20% with no apparent civilian use for it.
    .
Wrong – Iran is to become a world leader in nuclear medicine and the low enriched uranium is used in the development of radioisotopes useful in diagnostics, radiation therapy, radiopharmaceuticals and more.
Iran is currently designing nuclear propulsion for naval submarines including designs that would mask the ‘thermal wake’ observable from airbourne thermal imaging (FLIR). These designs use 20% enriched uranium to produce heat and steam to drive turbines for propulsion and power for long periods submerged .
Iran wants to use depleted uranium in a number of projects that use this high density material as protection.
    .
    2. The UK goverment also utterly condemns President Ahmadinejad’s comments about the Holocaust and his repeated threats to destroy Israel.
    .
Wrong The Iranian president along with many historians and Polish prisoners of war, including Tadeusz Lipinski, assert that public misinformation remains and further research is required.
    .
The Middle East Media Research Institute confirms the Iranian Presidents speech, ‘”World Without Zionism” contains the phrase “بايد از صفحه روزگار محو شود” – which means “this regime” must be “eliminated from the pages of history.” Indeed a regime that supports apartheid and genocide must be judged and the grieving afforded closure.
    .
    3. In passing the recent resolution 1929 on sanctions for Iran, the UN Security Council has sent a strong signal that the country’s continued failure to comply with its international obligations cannot be ignored.
    .
WrongUNSC Res. 1929 is void because Iran has contributed to global non-proliferation efforts and keeping the Middle East region free of weapons of mass destruction, by its membership of the Non-Proliferation Treaty and her international efforts to secure inspection of Israel’s weapons of mass destruction known to exist but kept ambiguous in similar fashion to a child hiding something and keeping quiet about it to prevent confiscation.

The story of Joseph/Yusuf famously links the Pharaohs to the children of Israel, that particular Pharaoh having been impressed by Yusuf’s qualities and converted to Islam. By the time of the Moses/Musa the Pharaoh was not even a Pharaoh and his chief advisor and keyholder was a Muslim.
    .
Political Muslims, many of whom have political asylum in the West, once they get here, think nothing of selling their fellow Muslims to the West in order to build apolitical base in this country. The AlQaida Belhadj in Libya has sold his country and its oil and all of its inhabitants in exchange for a political power base as army leader. The same is about to happen in Syria/Kurdistan. The Kurdish oil from Kirkuk will become much easier to export through a Western-controlled Syria. The political consequences for Kurdistan are not the concern of the AlQaida (Stupidism) leaders, because they will given a political power base to operate from in Syria.
It reminds one of the old rhyme, Nebachdezzar King of the Jews, sold his wife for a pair of shoes. The alliance of Zionism and AlQaida, mutual-destructive-terror, as in Iraq, is a strategy against the hegemony of the superpowers. The world is no longer pluralist, but divided between ruthless political terror of Zio-Qaida and on the other side the traditional secular and religious forces of law and order.
    .
You are an Englishman, you have seen the way in which the tool of feminism has been used to destroy the conventional values embedded in the upper middle classes. Now we have a new upper middle class of bonus-grabbing bankers and Far-Eastern Businessmen traders. In politics, you do not stop from attacking good values, even the values of Islam, in order to unseat the occupiers of respect and power and put you bottoms in their places. That is what is happening in Islam, a vast whirlpool of internal politics. How many financial services in this country use the name Trinity in their business addresses to imply trustworthiness. Muslim political minds are equally keen to use the emblems of Islamic pride in their own political endeavours.
No one could call the murder of Gaddafi and his supporters, opening a road for Africom from the sea into Africa, handing over Libyan wealth to Western bankers and oil to Western companies, Jihad. But it looks good on the business card.

Former MI6 chief Sir Mark Allen sued over rendition
    .

Abdel Hakim Belhadj says UK and US intelligence were involved in sending him to Libya
    .
Two men who say they were rendered to Libya with the help of the UK have begun an action to sue one of Britain’s most senior former MI6 officers.
    .
Libyan dissidents Sami al-Saadi and Abdel Hakim Belhadj allege that Sir Mark Allen was complicit in their rendition and torture.
    .
Lawyers for the pair served papers on Friday, the first step in a civil action for damages.
    .
Sir Mark has declined to comment on the allegations and legal action.
    .
Mr al-Saadi and Mr Belhadj say they were handed over to Col Muammar Gaddafi’s regime in 2004.
    .
The Metropolitan Police has already begun its own investigations into the allegations.

The execrable Marr is given three hoursn on BBC1 and space on the BBC website to plug his trash A Diamond Queen, now half price on Amazon.
    .
Queen needs Prince Philip at her side – Prince Harry Prince Philip has remained the Queen’s constant companion throughout her reign
    .
Prince Harry has said he does not believe the Queen can carry out her public duties without the Duke of Edinburgh, her husband of 64 years.
    .
“I don’t think that she could do it without him, especially when they’re both at this age,” he told Andrew Marr, in an interview for BBC One.
    .
The interview took place before 90-year-old Prince Philip was treated for a blocked coronary artery.
    .
It comes a week before the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s accession.

PS One of the book reviews on Amazon
    .
‘To anyone thinking of buying this, I would advise that they instead borrow it from a library because if you are interested enough to read a book like this, then you will already know most of what is in it. There are no new insights.
    .
Sorry, but I feel as if I have read a lot of this before, from several sources, but especially Robert Lacey’s excellent MAJESTY, written for the Silver Jubilee, which is heavily relied on for many of the anecdotes that appear here, inevitably inviting comparison. It has to be said that Lacey’s use of language is defter, subtler and altogether smoother than Andrew Marr’s.
    .
As a Scot, Mr Marr will be familiar with the expression ‘cauld kale rehet’ (cold cabbage re-heated).’

Hope you get better soon Craig, certain sausages are to be avoided.
Thanks to Duncan for the hint at what few men are really pushing for war. If William Hague thinks that UK and US soldiers should willingly lay tdown their lifes for these few ultra zionists, he should have another pint and sleep it off.

So we can assume that the meeting between Gould Werritty Fox and Mossad was quiet acidic, there must have been scenario’s and options discussed and discarded, but generally the feeling for war could not have been mutual at that meeting. As Gould was new to the job in hand, although well versed in Israeli politics beforehand, most likely since he held his position in Iran, the meeting could have been bland, introducing him to the movers and shakers. These are only two options, others, more precise, could also apply.
So Belhadj and al-Saadi are parting with the first shot on the long haul towards justice, in response they will try and send him from pillar to post, that will take yonks.
I wish them to get justice, for themselves and their equally tortured family members, hope they are able to look after themselves, here and in Libya, cause our MI’s might just want to use the neocon solution and get rid of them.

Thanks Guano for your picturesque historical resumee, almost mirroring the situation of the current bunker mentality that must exist in the Knesset at present.

The good news is never far away these days. The cowboy practices made standard by the dynamic duo Bu$h and Bliar have now permeated into all facets of life. First we heard about the substandard fake boobs, and testicles, now we are told about substandard hip joints and implants.
    ,
    ,
Surgeons in the North East have compiled figures for 500 patients with DePuy implants showing a failure rate of up to 35 per cent after four years and 49 per cent after six years for full hip replacements.
    ,
    ,

Metal hip implants could put more than 30,000 patients at risk of poisoning

Beladj is a political man, sometimes working with MI6, and sometimes targeted by them. Are we all going to cry every time a political leader gets unelected, or applaud every time another bastard gets in.
Politics is the game of self-promotion, and that applies to Muslims and non-Muslims. Politicians play a risky game and the game has dangers and rewards. I don’t like the political gaming of politicians of any kind. None of them have any sincerity because their goal is self-gain. Many people are now being tortured by military personnel under Belhadj’s control in Libya, and I have no doubt that before he was renditioned from Malaysia he was doing the same ruthless game in Afghanistan.
    .
In Saddam Hussain’s Iraq, many political activists provoked reprisals from Saddam and ran away abroad before the reprisals came. The victims run to many millions. This victim you are championing is playing a victim role to an audience of softies in the uk. I detest torture. It is intolerable in any circumstances. But lighting a match to civil wars is pretty repugnant as well in my opinion.

The search for the missing 15 people on the Costa Crociere has been abandoned because debris and furniture is blocking the way and the water is ‘turbid’. I bet it is.
    .
So generous here of Mr Arison of Carnival Corp.
    .
‘Costa Crociere, which is part of the world’s largest cruise ship operator Carnival Group, has offered uninjured passengers 11,000 euros ($14,500; £9,200) each in compensation, on condition that they drop any legal action. However, a consumer group and two US law firms are filing a class-action lawsuit in the US, demanding at least $160,000 (£105,000) for each passenger on the ship.’
    .
    Good for them. Apparently attempts have been made over the years to raise the compensation limits but the International Maritime Organisation based in London {http://www.imo.org/About/Membership/Pages/NGOsInConsultativeStatus.aspx}
    has always resisted.

CLIA is one of the NGOs that has consultative status with the IMO and Carnival is one of CLIA’s members.

    January 30, 2012
IMO Secretary-General Koji Sekimizu, speaking at the opening of the Sub-Committee on Bulk Liquids and Gases (BLG) today (30 January 2012), stated that IMO is the right international body to deal with safety of passenger ships and, in particular, a safety review after the Costa Concordia accident.
    .
He has included an additional item on “Passenger Ship Safety” on the agenda of the IMO’s Maritime Safety Committee, which meets for its 90th session from 16-25 May this year. This will provide an opportunity for IMO Members in the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) to consider any issues arising. He appreciated any initiatives of Member Governments and the industry to improve safety and encouraged them to put forward their contributions to MSC 90.
