A Bunch of Tits 257

The BBC believes that Kate Middleton’s tits are a more important story than western diplomats in danger of their lives all over the Middle East. Says it all about today’s BBC, really.

Killing people is not the solution to the World’s problems. Killing diplomats is particularly heinous as they are guests in a country, and are charged with keeping open the lines of peaceful communication between nations. Almost certainly Ambassador Stevens and his staff deplored the making and distribution of hate videos, and absolutely certainly they had nothing to do with it. Nor do the diplomats under seige today in Yemen, Sudan and Egypt.

Oliver Miles, the extremely sensible former British Ambassador to Libya, while deploring attacks on Embassies and their staff, made the obvious point on Sky News yesterday that America’s unflinching support for an expansionist Israel was the root cause of hostile attitudes to the USA acroos the Middle East. His interview was instantly terminated.

Miles’ observation is true, as it is true that direct and killing intervention by the US in Libya and Yemen has caused the situations that are now blowing back – often with US supplied or at least encouraged weaponry. But yet again, none of that justifies the racist attacks on westerners. Just as all Muslims were not responsible for Islamic terrorists, so all westerners are not responsible for the far right purveyors of anti-Muslim hatred.

All decent people must despair at the prospect of yet another cycle of violence. Powerful interests both in the West and in the Middle East are not amongst those decent people.

Of all the signals the West could send out to try to end the horrors wrought by the promoters of the “Clash of civilisations”, the most powerful would be to arraign Bush and Blair for war crimes. This is not a deluded hope of idealists; it is an essential step if the world is ever to heal.

    LOL

Earlier, she and the Duke of Cambridge were greeted by fearsome spear-carrying island warriors singing war chants and smeared in body paint as they toured a festival of island culture.

And on a day when the couple had hoped to forget the row over topless photographs of the Duchess, they were, somewhat inevitably, confronted by bare-breasted island women at every turn.

The editor of the French Closer says she has more intimate photographs. Quel domage! Quelle horreur!

Why was the “Innocence of Muslims” trailer released when it was? 15-18 September 2012 is the 30th anniversary of the massacres at Shatila and Sabra, where at least 800 Palestinians were slaughtered by Christian Phalangist militias under the eye of Sharon and the IDF.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/17/opinion/a-preventable-massacre.html?pagewanted=2&_r=1&ref=opinion

    (h/t Richard Silverstein Tikun Olam)

‘Mr. Sharon replied: “So, we’ll kill them. They will not be left there. You are not going to save them. You are not going to save these groups of the international terrorism.”’

‘Years later, Mr. Draper [the US ambassador to Lebanon at the time] called the massacre “obscene.” And in an oral history recorded a few years before his death in 2005, he remembered telling Mr. Sharon: “You should be ashamed. The situation is absolutely appalling. They’re killing children! You have the field completely under your control and are therefore responsible for that area.”’

‘On Sept. 18, Reagan pronounced his “outrage and revulsion over the murders.” He said the United States had opposed Israel’s invasion of Beirut, both because “we believed it wrong in principle and for fear that it would provoke further fighting.” Secretary of State George P. Shultz later admitted that “we are partially responsible” because “we took the Israelis and the Lebanese at their word.” He summoned Ambassador Arens. “When you take military control over a city, you’re responsible for what happens,” he told him. “Now we have a massacre.” ‘

So – was the release just fortuitious timing or deliberate intent? As always, qui bono?

Techniclour: These ‘wars’ do not spring from insane hatred of Muslims. It might now be convenient to discuss things in terms of religion: in fact Iraq was a largely secular state. But it had oil. Hussein was attempting to stop trading oil in dollars. Gadaffi was attempting to create a separate currency for oil trading. And Afghanistan has been the tragic warground of vested interests for centuries. What has happened to the oil pipeline which Karzai reportedly went to the US to discuss with Haliburton et al, I wonder.

Yes Oil is a significant factor, but the bigger picture is the agenda by the Rothschild-Masonic-Zionists to render Islam Impotent so it can finally demolish the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa mosque, rebuild Solomon’s Temple and expand their little racist, Zionist state called Israel into the wider middle east.

Even the CIA recognised the aims of the Zionists in 1949 in this report …

By March 1949, a classified CIA report declared Palestine was a ‘Long Range Disaster’. The Agency report read in part:

‘The establishment of the State of Israel by force, with intimidation of the Arab governments by the US and USSR, with the cutting off of the British arms and ammunition (the Arabs only source of supply), with ample sources for Israel of munitions and finance, the Israeli battle victory is complete, but it has solved nothing.

If boundaries to an Israeli State, any boundaries, had been set and guaranteed by the Great Powers, peace might return to the area. On the contrary, we have actually a victorious state which is limited to no frontiers and which is determined that no narrow limits shall be set.

The Near East is faced with the almost certain prospect of a profound and growing disturbance by Israel which may last for decades… …Instead of restoring the boundaries of the province of Judea as they were in 70 A.D., the Israeli leaders now state freely though usually unofficially, their demand for an ever expanding empire.

Their present possessions are regarded by them as only a beachead into the Arab and Muslim World – a large part of which they plan to exploit. They are not prepared to live off what the land will yield as the Arabs do… …”

Alone among the Great Powers, Britain has been working on a plan to restore a balance between the forces in Palestine, but it already appears that this plan is doomed to fail.

Zionist pressure in the USA, Anglophobia in Iraq and Egypt, and above all, Russia’s determination to prolong chaos in the Near East and to complete the discrediting of British and American Diplomacy, combine to work against the policy of the British Government and its collaborators –King Abdulla of Trans-Jordan and the Prime Minister of Iraq, Nuri al Said”.[http://www.foia.cia.gov/ OBSERVATIONS CONCERNING PALESTINE AND THE ARAB COUNTRIES, 3/8/1949, page 2, CIA Electronic Reading Room.]

    More bunches of ….

No irony. Isn’t the royal response getting sillier by the day?

‘William did his best to discreetly avert his eyes but failed spectacularly as he bent his head to receive the necklace.

The pair watched as 30 bare-chested women danced in front of them before garlanding them with necklaces made of shell ‘money’ and the teeth of dolphins found washed up on the shore.

After all the anxiety of the last few days, there will be no chance that Kate’s tempted to try sunbathing au naturel again soon. Not that the locals would bat an eyelid.’

“Yes Oil is a significant factor, but the bigger picture is the agenda by the Rothschild-Masonic-Zionists to render Islam Impotent…” Smeggypants.

And that’s why they funded, armed and trained Islamist paramilitaries during the 1950s-1980s, why they have created and sustained the Saudi Arabian despots for 80-90 years and again now wrt Syria/Libya, etc. and why they helped the self-proclaimed ‘Muslim Generals’ in Indonesia muder 1 million Indonesians in order to put a pro-US dictator, Suharto, into power in 1966? Historically, and today, politial Islam has been, and remains, the great ally of imperialism. What those in power in the USA/UK et al fear above all else, is secular nationalism/socialism/self-determination/genuine independence-of-any-kind-under whatever rubric one might imagine. Anything and everything – Islamism, Zionism, whatever – will be utilised as tactical instruments for the actually very simple and obvious overarching global strategy of the maintenance and enhancement of power/wealth in a few hands. It is the nature of empire.

  • Chris Jones

@Angrysoba – no your right, you diddn’t say that – i was being rhetorical. My main point being that the word holocausts shouldn’t belong to any one people or period in history

  • Ben Fraklin

“It is the nature of empire.” Nice summation, Suhayl.

Yes, it’s always about wealth and power; oil being the metaphor for same Lots of mischief in dacades past has wrought the current angle-iron of karmic fence the West find themselves encircled with. Placing their puppet regimes (Diem, the Shah) is a long-range bumper crop of wrong that is just now being harvested. I’m reminded of a Bible verse “Sow the Wind, Reap the Whirlwind”. Apropo.

It seems wrong that a woman who uses the media daily for her own ends is so upset wen it bites her on the arse.i dont think any topless foto should be printed without consent but why is she so precious? so precious that the irish daily star is threatened with closure and the loss of hundreds of jobs?

The sycophantic & utterly hypocritical agreement by the British press not to publish the Kate Middleton photos, is so revealing of the power of the Establishment in protecting their own. The extent of their servility, is such that toeing-the-line in carrying favour, is put before their usually paramount & sacred profit line.

The behavior of Ebay UK, has been very illustrating of this sickening sycophantism; while the topless photos have been doing an international tour of their own , by being published in various European countries, the Anglo-Speaking World who have been denied a chance to obtain published copies, flocked in unprecedented numbers to the on-line auction house in order to buy them. Brits, Yanks, Canadians, Aussies, as well as others, were vieing with each other by being prepared to pay incredible high prices for these publications. Ebay was caught unaware for a couple of days, but then started to delete all listings on the grounds that the tiny images of the magazine covers, with their microscopic & blurred photos of a topless Kate Middleton, were in breach of their “Adult Material Policy”, a totally hypocritical & obviously false explanation, as anybody who enters the word “topless” in their search engine will instantly be confronted with thousands of very high quality & very explicit images, the same for the words “nude”, “naked” etc. The surprised Sellers, then complied by relisting their ads using censored images, such as blacking over Kate Middleton’s topless torso. Ebay then responded again by removing the listings, citing that “In deciding whether material is adult in nature, eBay considers the overall content of the listing, including pictures and text. For example, if a reported item description leads us to believe the content of the listing is adult in nature, we’ll remove the listing. Please note that blocking the ‘risqué’ parts of an image will not exempt the item from these standards”, so effectively using policy designed against pornography, to be apply to mainstream Celebrity Gossip magazines !; the frustrated Sellers then resorted to using blank listing, with no images at all, just the title of the publication; this stumped Ebay for about a day, before finally revealing what their true motivation was all along, with their announcement“”to globally prohibit the magazines/newspapers with the Kate Middleton topless photos”. The official pretext being because of “strong feedback from the eBay community”.

This is extraordinary & unprecedented. Many, many celebrities have been similarly photographed & published, and were not happy about it, but this has never happened before, so why this extraordinary overreaction iro Kate Middleton ?! The answer of course is that we Plebs, must not be allowed to have fun at the expense of our “Betters”, and that we must know our place, and just who has the Power.

Following on from the action of Paypal,(owned by Ebay), with Wikileakes, this is another example of the political dangers of Corporate Powers in dominate market positions.

Yes Mary, very predatory; twice now they have shown their willingness to act politically at the beck & call of the powerful; as this probably won’t be the last time, they deserve minimal consumer support, & maximum monitoring.
