    SCAN THE TELE
When the quadruple murder in Haute-Savoie in September 2012,
the news channel had aired footage showing the bodies of victims.

The verdict is in. The Court of Appeal of Chambéry acquitted Wednesday editorial director of BFMTV and journalist Dominique Rizet, for broadcasting pictures of the killing of Chevaline, in September 2012, their lawyer. “The great message of the appeal court is to remember that a journalist should be judged in the context of rules governing freedom of expression and not getting lost in the search for common crimes resounding “said AFPM
Maitre Pierre Dufau Randolph, hailing a decision” courageous, innovative and rigorous law. ”

In its deliberations, the court reversed the judgment of the Criminal Court of Annecy on May 29, 2015, which condemned the editorial director of BFM TV, Hervé Beroud and journalist Dominique Rizet to 10,000 euro fine each for ” concealment of breach of confidentiality of investigations ” . The judgment at the time had however acquitted of the crimes of “endangering the integrity of a corpse and unlawful reproduction of a crime scene.” The defendants and the prosecution had then appealed the conviction.
    The freedom to inform pleaded

On January 20 the hearing, the Advocate General had estimated that Hervé and Dominique Beroud Rizet were guilty of “helping to violate the confidentiality of the investigation” and called for the reversal of their acquittal at trial for “unlawful reproduction of a crime scene.” The offending images showed, for a British al-Hilli family full before the shooting she was a victim; and for the other two crime scenes Chevaline (Haute-Savoie). It showed the BMW family and the body of a French cyclist, another victim lying on the ground, killed by several bullets. The journalist Dominique Rizet presented and commented on the photos, broadcast exclusively by BFM TV, the antenna. The defendants pleaded freedom of information.

On 5 September 2012, Saad al-Hilli, 50, a British engineer of Iraqi origin, his wife of 47 years, and his stepmother of 74 years, were killed by several bullets in their car, on a small forest road near Chevaline. Sylvain Mollier, probable collateral victim, was also killed. One of the girls of the al-Hilli couple had been seriously injured while the second, hidden under the legs of his mother, was miraculously unscathed.

So is likely to be the end of these court cases?

Wiki do not seem to mention that BFMTV have had the previous
    court decision reversed.

Do we know if the fine money has now been handed back?

A prosecutor said the raid was linked to the Paris attacks which killed 130 people last November.

Belgian police have been trying to track down militants from the self-styled Islamic State.

After Tuesday’s incident, police said they were pursuing at least two suspects who escaped over rooftops.

Eric Van Der Sypt, a spokesman for the federal prosecutor, told AFP news agency that “police were fired at” during the raid on Tuesday afternoon. He added that the raid was “linked to the Paris attacks investigation”.

A major police operation is now under way, with streets sealed off and a helicopter flying overhead.

FRENCH Alps Family Murder Suspect Exonerated

    http://news.sky.com/story/1439885/french-alps-family-murder-suspect-exonerated

After the killings, police launched a massive hunt for the man and issued an artist’s impression in November 2013 of how he appeared with his motorcycle helmet.

He was identified and arrested in the village of Lathuile two months ago but his identity was not revealed.

French police now say he has been exonerated, although his indentity will remain a mystery?

So twelve months have gone since the motorcyclist has been exonerated.

Anyone spot that one week after his E-FIT-SKETCH was released, Nicole Communal-Tournier was shot dead in her home in LATHUILE.
This motorcyclist ( who never thought he was a suspect)
    was caught in LATHUILE?

Fourth largest gold producer in Africa.
Burkina Faso’s gold industry employs slave laborers and does not spare children. In 2013, the U.S. Department of Labor reported that gold mining becoming an even more fruitful industry, it has resulted in “an increased number of children working in gold mines and thousands of students leaving school.” A December 2014 report further corroborates the fact that child labor and forced labor are common practices in Burkina Faso’s mining industry.

Game on for EDF / FRENCH STATE

The FRENCH STATE has promised a financial bailout for cash-strapped energy group EDF so that it can proceed with the £18bn plan to build the first nuclear reactors in
    BRITAIN for 20 years.

FRANCE’s economics minister, Emmanuel Macron, said it would be a mistake for
the 85% state-owned company not to build a new Hinkley Point C power plant in Somerset and he would ensure it happened.

“If there is a need to recapitalise (EDF), we will,” he said during a visit to a nuclear power station at Civaux in midwestern FRANCE.
“If there needs to be a further waiver of dividends (from EDF to government), we will.”

Flanked by Jean-Bernard Lévy, the EDF chief executive under fire from FRENCH unions and his own former finance director, Macron added:
“If you believe in nuclear, you cannot say that you will not participate in the biggest nuclear project in the world. Not doing Hinkley Point would be a mistake.”

    http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/mar/17/french-government-edf-united-front-hinkley-point-money-nuclear-plant-union

I wonder, does democracy in FRANCE and in the U.K. have a say in this?

Hinkley Point C Somersetshire EDF nuclear deal contains £22bn “POISON PILL” for taxpayer

    http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/mar/18/hinkley-point-c-nuclear-deal-22bn-poison-pill-taxpayer

The Hinkley nuclear power deal contains a “poison pill” which could leave taxpayers with a £22bn bill if a future UK government closed the plant before 2060, according to an official document seen by the Guardian.

The huge liability shows Hinkley is a “terrible deal” for the UK public, according to critics, with the company also guaranteed three times today’s price for electricity for 35 years. The project has recently been battered by financial warnings and resignations at its prime backer EDF, although on Thursday France’s economics minister, Emmanuel Macron, said that the French state would bail the company out.
The deal the UK government has agreed with EDF, set out in an unpublicised “minute”, commits the British public to pay subsidies of up to about £40bn in real terms and provides state guarantees on nuclear waste disposal and insurance, while allowing the plant to begin producing electricity as late as 2033.

A shutdown that triggers the “poison pill” compensation is not entirely within the control of the UK government but could also be forced by the EU or an international regulator such as the International Atomic Energy Agency, according to the document.

Certainly enough riding on this deal to have unhelpful people “rubbed out”

Of the four officers arrested “Scotland Yard has said two of the men are Met police officers on secondment.”

The remaining two are not specified but “Det Supt Mizzi said Surrey police had contacted the relevant police forces to inform them of the arrest of their officers.”

By the way, if there was any interest in the idea we could create an area in the new site forums for the al-Hillis. Then different lines of inquiry could have their own topics and even such a thing as a FAQ could be maintained. Just an idea. The plan is to extend the use of the new forums over time.

The man killed Tuesday, March 15 by the Police Belgian during the search of a Forest apartment, a municipality of Brussels, at which Salah Abdeslam had managed to flee, was identified as Mohamed Belkaid. The name of the Algerian 35, unknown anti-terrorist services, did not appear in the investigation into the attacks of 13 November 2015. It is by comparing his face with photos that investigators were able to establish that he was in the words of the Belgian parquet Friday 18 March, “more than likely” a central player attacks of Paris , under the Samir Bouzid impersonation.

In the trial record, Samir Bouzid appears as one of the men suspected of having coordinated from Brussels, the attacks in Paris and Saint-Denis . In the course of their investigations, the investigators found the first trace of its passage a month before the attacks. September 9, 2015, Salah is Abdeslam controlled Austria in a Mercedes hire in the company of two men carrying fake Belgian identity card in the name of Samir Bouzid and Soufiane Kayal.

The trace of Samir Bouzid will be found in a dustbin after the attacks. In a mobile phone thrown in front of Bataclan, investigators discovered an SMS sent by terrorists to 21 h 42: “It’s gone, it begins. “The message recipient is found in Belgium . Another Belgian number, who called in the evening Abdelhamid Abaaoud, issued exactly the same place in Brussels. The investigators deduce that one or two men coordinated the attacks from Belgium. Their investigations lead them to suspect Samir Bouzid and Soufiane Kayal, the companions travel Salah Abdeslam of Austria.

FEARS have been raised that the UNITED KINGDOM

I still owe you an answer regarding your suggested timeline. Alas, I must confess that I do not quite understand it. To start with, where do you get the idea from that ONF1 and ONF2 spoke on the phone shortly after the event? Is that an assumption on your part? Anyway, it would aid my understanding if you could flesh out the timeline and state your proposed order of events.

    • Good In Parts

      Peter

It is not an assumption of mine, the idea from that ONF1 and ONF2 spoke on the phone shortly after the event came from ONF1 himself, either in the Panorama programme, or in follow up articles.

Parry, on page 64, covers some of the ONF1 statements. The telephone call between ONF1 and ONF2 is not explicitly mentioned, however the last paragraph on the page starts with a quote from ONF1 as follows; “They told me they passed the motorcycle at Place Martinet, two bends further up” … “They had words with him because motor vehicles aren’t allowed”. He is recounting part of the discussion on that telephone call, which I think took place in the early evening.

I shall try and dig out some post-Panorama links (approx Oct/Nov 2013) and write up my proposed order of events.

he works for Le Dauphine Libre

On page 175 The Perfect Crime,
Tom Parry states that Sylvain Mollier worked for CEZUS.

So are we to assume that CEZUS -AREVA paid for Maitre Caroline Blanvillian?

      • michael norton

So if CEZUS-AREVA paid for Maitre Caroline Blanvillian

why would CEZUS-AREVA be worried if news outlets pondered the question

why on that day at a moments notice did Sylvain Mollier ring Claire Schutz at her pharmacie in Gringon and tell her to come home, so he could be released from child care to go cycling up to Le Martinet?

        • Q

Further, MN, why would they pay for a lawyer to do this for an employee who was on leave from the company? The journalist said they’re going on the attack against anyone who questions Mollier on the Mount. If he had falsified this, surely they would go after him. They can’t hang him out to dry for something that is true.

Has anyone ever heard of a company that hires lawyers for employees on leave? So was he really on leave, or was he doing some other kind of work for the company, for which he was paid? It seems like the company has only fuelled the speculation by their actions.

Here is a draft timeline – Motorcycle Hash version two.
    .

15:12 – ONF2 meet LMC then both start their descent

15:19 – SM passes the old mill going up – ditto LMC but going down

15:20 – ONF2 cross SM then pass the old mill going down, exiting the combe

15:21 – WBM passes the old mill going up

15:22 – SAH passes the old mill going up

15:25 – ONF1 spots PMC* whilst passing though Le Martinet and drives down

15:28 – ONF1 crosses SAH (the 4×4 seen by Zainab)

    15:29 – ONF1 crosses SM

15:30 – ONF1 crosses WBM (the 4×4 seen by WBM)

15:31 – SAH arrives at Le Martinet

15:32 – ONF1 passes the old mill going down, exiting the combe

(*) PMC is Pannier Motor Cycle dressed in black

Note that PMC does not necessarily have to be the actual shooter. The rider could be completely uninvolved, an accomplice acting as a lookout and getaway rider or indeed the actual shooter. I have left out events post 15:32 (including the sighting by WBM) because their timing depends on the actual role of the rider.

The core idea is that they (ONF1 & ONF2) hashed it up during their telephone conversation on the first evening. They made the assumption that they both had seen the same motorcycle.

ONF1 believed he saw the MC arriving at Le Martinet and thus must have seen the MC before ONF2.

ONF2 saw the MC above Le Martinet and thus believed that they must have seen the MC after ONF1.

They agreed on this reversed temporal order of sightings and of course the 10 minute gap.

This caused ONF1’s story to require ‘force fitting’ by the gendarmes as previously discussed. In my view the initial testimony by ONF1 is probably the most accurate.

Everything fits as far as I can tell.

The motorcycle seen on the Col can even be worked in by assuming that
PMC had arrived from above and was just turning round at Le Martinet after
a recce (it does require that the farmer mis-remembered the time of his sighting but then he mis-remembered seeing anything at all until prompted by his wife).

In fact, I thought in the initial reports his sighting was described as ‘after lunch’ – which would fit.

Alternately PMC arrived by riding up the combe.

    • Peter

Yes, it all fits insofar as I can see (better wait for M’s comments on the matter, though). The introduction of “PMC” into the mix, however, requires making some fairly unlikely assumptions:

      – that PMC’s bike was of similar type and appearance as LMC’s
      – that PMC did not voluntarily come forward, even though s/he must have assumed that s/he was the mystery motorcyclist whom police were looking for
      – PMC neither registering with the local mobile phone network, nor being captured on CCTV

To my mind, the likelihood of multiple eyewitness accounts yielding a consistent, truthful narrative of events is very low to start with. Retrospectively making it all fit together by placing an additional piece on the board risks multiplying the errors and inconsistencies that one would expect to find anyway. It smacks of “force fitting”, if you will excuse my saying so …

  • Good In Parts

    Peter

In addition to the ‘force fitting’ of ONF1’s story by the gendarmes, it is possible that the BMW estate driven by SAH actually did look more like an X5 or X3 because the rear shocks had been adjusted to improve handling when towing the caravan.

Sans caravan, voila le X5 !

Not to mention convergence, conflation and contamination as I have wibbled on about previously.

    https://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2012/09/not-forgetting-the-al-hillis-continued/comment-page-26/#comment-566036

    • Peter

Conversely, I am all in favour of taking any superfluous pieces off the board. That mystery BMW X5 is such a superfluous piece and, in the light of its basic similarity with SAH’s BMW, very likely to be a red herring.

Google tells me that BMWs of that vintage all had a system called BMW Level Control, which would have automatically compensated for any extra loads on the rear axle (meaning that it would not have done so without a caravan being present). However, some models also had a system called Electronic Damper Control (EDC), allowing the driver to adjust the shocks manually. I shall have to check whether SAH’s car had EDC, because, if it did, you may well be right and the car’s rear would have been higher off the ground than one would normally expect.

The attacker of Marc Brown, who received a dozen stab wounds on the night of Saturday to Sunday,
has been indicted and imprisoned for attempted murder. Gerald Jiguet a carpenter of forty years had gone home after the event, before traveling, shortly after, to the police to explain his act.

During an argument, Gérald Jiguet understood that his companion and his friend always had a relationship. This is probably what would have pushed to pass the act.
