The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.
Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:
the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?
The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.
Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:
Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.
There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.
But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.
The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?

The comments about Gen. P. in the Carnaby story are certainly noteworthy. When the sex scandal broke, they said the military mockingly called him “King David”. It’s the other parts of the story I question, but that’s just a feel that it’s wrong. Don’t know enough about it to say more.
The Generals scandal is more than sex. Someone wanted to discredit Gen. P. and maybe Gen. A. too, but I don’t know who or why.

This report about CIA, Hamas and Carnaby (Karnabe) is tge best thing i have read so far. Substitute Karnabe with al Hilli and you get the same story starting from 1920!!!!!
This is exciting and better than everything with lots of names we already know. And it is not from now but from 2008! This is the al Hilli story!
Quote:
May 2008 – Entire pages, entries, blogs and stories or Carnaby and videos are yanked and pulled from the internet. Shut down and blanketed. No references to his burial or where he is buried is ever mentioned. The last mention of a funeral service is that his father Vincent S. Karnabe was pushing to get Roland buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
Quote:
April 29, 2008 – The US Secret Service is the first to retrieve Carnaby’s laptop from the scene of the crime until a CIA personnel from DC in the CIA’s Security Division could inspect the credentials. As Sy Hersh reported this weekend, there is a huge contingent within the American intelligence community that does not want a war with Iran and understands the gravity of such an event. Not even the Democratic Congress has been willing to take on the rogue contingent that operates under the aegis of the Office of the Vice President of the US.

Well worth reading that stuff. Great investigation with some great details and contacts and names. Absolutely fascinating stuff.

Read my link above and you’re going to understand a lot more of the alHilli story, too, as well as regarding Patraeus, the al Khawams, and Karnabe.
As a matter of fact, there are 2 CIAs and 2 governments in the USA. One is the Patraeus/Stevens/alHilli CIA that does not want to have a nuke war with Iran simply because of the problems araising from such nonsense.
The other CIA (that part of Jane Harman, Canter, Fred Humphries) is the winning part, sponsered by ZOA.
They want America to do what seems to be best for Israel ( = what they think is best for their money).
This is CIA vs CIA and a kind of velvet revolution in the USA unfortunately not noticed and not mentioned by the brainwashing ZOA-controlled media.
This is the prelude of the unexcusable Iran war.
Btw. I am sure that the al Khawams and the Karnabe family knew each other very well since their families shared the very same history.
known knowns re possible extraction theory. many many unknowns.
Zainab and Zeena are alive and talking somewhere in Surrey.
guardian.co.uk, Sunday 28 October 2012
Dr Ahmad al-Saffar, the uncle of Iqbal al Hilli’s wife, who saw the children with their aunt last weekend, said: “It was hard to see Zainab, to hear her ask why our meetings are so short.”
Saffar said Surrey county council, which has placed the orphaned sisters in foster care, should return the children to the family.
Their aunt is seeking guardianship of the two surviving children from the attack. Saffar said: “The social services can see these two girls want to be with their aunt.” The foster parents were not Muslims, he added, and the sisters were “deprived of being in an environment which is the same as [provided] by their parents, in regards of religion and culture”.
Saffar said: “We are not saying anything negative about this [foster] family – they are good – but we think the girls are better off with their aunt. The affection is not there.”
Any reason why foster parents, social workers, great uncle, aunt, would not be in the know? Being constantly implored by tearful Zainab and Zeena to allow a reunion with their true parents. Knowing their mother and father were alive but had gone somewhere else. It could not be a secret. And what would Dr Saffar and their aunt have to say about this when the girls told them? Presumably it has not so far been known for MI6 to coerce little children, stage manage an aunts visits, write a script of what they may say.
More about Karnabe (Carnaby), the Saad al Hilli “twin”.

27 Nov, 2012 – 9:51 pm think we re rather going round in circles on this. Trouble we have conflicting reports on timing. Is this intentional disinformation or just the natural confusion from inaccurate recall and press reporting. The bottom line however, despite the ambiguities and room for manoeuvre, although WBM was probably at the scene at 3.48, by his own account he did NOT make that call. Nor by any stretch of the imagination could he have reached Didierjean by that time. No way Hosea. This creates the very inconvenient truth for Mr Maillaud, despite apparently six hours of debriefing of both Martin and Didierjean, he continued to perpetuate this deceit. Don’t you find this very puzzling? Maybe Martin told him he did make the call, or would admit to making the call, but by the following Monday changed his mind for thr interview????????
Thinking about Philippe Didierjean for a moment, he is a very shadowy figure. As far as I am aware, no biographical details have been published about him. Whether he is truly independent and trustworthy we can’t be sure. As far as I am aware we are dependent on the Parisien interview for his take on the events. The initial reports suggested he was “hiking up the combe with two companions” however his own story introduces the car and the fact that they intended to go running in the hills. We must presume he and his two female companions intended to leave their car at Martinet then I suppose. Bit of a co-incidence maybe?
We know even less about his two female companions and they haven’t contributed in any way to the public narative. Did they supply statements to the police because they arn’t mentioned by anyone subsequently. Didierjean says they stayed with the car about 50 yards down from the crime scene facing the other way in case they needed a hasty retreat.
Now as to Didierjean’s timing the initial newspaper report stated he got to Chevaline about four to which must be added the drive time up the Combe to within 3/400 yards of Martinet where he meets the terrified and incoherent Martin coming down on his bike. This gave us an approx. time of 4.10 which fits. However later in the statement you refer to, he brings this forward to “shortly before 4 pm”. Of course he could be referring here to the time he got to the BOTTOM of the Combe. We can’t be sure. However even if he is referring to the time he met Martin, it still isn’t early enough to be the call apparently logged at 3.48 so we are still no further forward.
As to at what point in the episode Didierjean actually placed a call again we can not be absolutely sure. Martin says and Didierjean agrees, that because of his lack of French and his emotional state it took time to get his message across. Martin says he asked Didierjean to phone “and he did”. He doesn’t however make clear when – then or later. The Parisien interview I quoted certainly suggests that Didierjean only made the call after he had himself visited the scene and returned down the valley. Of course you might be right that he phoned TWICE once when they met and again after visiting the site, but if so it is highly surprising this was not made clear by any party. If Didierjean claims to arrive earlier to provide an explanation for the 3.48 call, it makes greater problems in the timeline not least his claim that no retreating vehicles passed him on the way up.
Nothing above however changes my basic contention that neither Martin or Didierjean made a 3.48 call.
Now as to timings for Martin, the trouble is as you say it is not internally consistent. If indeed he started at 2.30 as he said, and if the journey took an hour and a half, he could not have got to Martinet until 4. If he did arrive at four there simply is insufficient time for him to do all the things he said he did and still meet Didierjean not later than 4.10. It would also have meant it was physically impossible to have made a call at 3.48.
However all the evidence suggests he arrived very soon after the shooting recorded at 3.30 because Zainab was still standing. Either he set out significantly earlier than 2.30 or the journey didn’t actually take one and half hours. The Le Monde reports Maillaud on the 7th September as saying Martin started up the Combe at 3.15 and arrived 3.45. This gives an average speed of about 5 mph by my reckoning which given the gradient may be reasonable. In that Le Monde report Maillaud says Mollier passed him at the bottom of the climb which if true would mean he would have to be going at AT LEAST twice the speed to get there in a quarter of an hour necessary for the 3.30 shooting. Indeed he would have had to have been there in advance of the shooting to allow dismount, meeting and attack. If as Martin himself gave the impression Mollier passed him some way up the combe the timings are even less doable because he would arrive only minutes after Mollier (say 3.35/40) which would make his start time up the combe soon after 3 not many minutes after the BMW if we can believe the builders.
Which ever way you look at it, if as the police suggested, the photograph of the Al Hillis didnt start from Arnaud until 3.15 at the earliest, they MUST have passed Martin on the way up and they could not have been there in time for the shooting at 3.30! I prefer to believe the builders than the police on that one.
Now finally, if indeed there is absence of blood and gore to the interior of the car a completely different scenario would have to be required wouldn’t it? That will have to be for another time.
@ Q : With some SuperConducting Plutonium we could build a SuperDuperSuperConductingPlutoniumSuperEMT type weapon and destroy everybody’s electronics. Maybe big enough to reverse the earth’s magnetic poles or making them oscillate back and forth, sending Boy Scouts’ compasses spinning.
For something easier, from the link you gave to MGM construction in Annecy here’s how all of us can make easy money from the comfort and privacy of our homes.
1. We incorporate an excavation company in Annecy, through a chain of cut-outs in Lichtenstein, so they can’t find us later.
2. When MGM needs digging for one of their new buildings, we bid low.
3. We put ads on Craigslist and other places, selling treasure maps to Saddam’s long lost gold and diamonds, buried around Annecy.
4. Map buyers from all over the world go there and dig furiously where we tell them.
5. We collect on our excavation contracts plus whatever we make from selling treasure maps, and everybody is rich.
That is the company of Carneby’s father, now run by his uncle (his father’s brother) from Lebanon. His uncle has an address in the USA, too.
Having such companies is always good for drug smuggling, weaponry smuggling and oil for food smuggling. Of course they did never do that for the CIA.

28 Nov, 2012 – 12:09 am sorry if you felt I demolished your earlier suggestion. You never know, you might be right. Anything is possible in this world and all the Miami Vice/Hollywood references may indeed have been seeded hints as to the nature of the thing. I still can’t work out what the purpose of such a complicated plot would be be? Why go to all that trouble when a a few discrete arrangements for disappearance could have been made that may have attracted a few column inches and not connected parties or caused a stir. The only reason in my mind could be to deceive the enemy as it were, as with that corpse washed up in the war! You may be able to think up a better one.
We haven’t seen any photographic evidence of bodies. In the famous DM ones the car is empty tho i have wondered what was under that sheet that the forensics man is holding in the bottom right of the picture. Is it the body of Mollier or his bike or something else entirely. One would assume that his body came down with the Al Hillis in the fleet of undertakers bans in which case its probably his bike as the transporter is there still and there was a bike in front of the car when it came down.
Now the absence of evidence of blood and gore does seem surprising or we just may not be able to see it. It all depends on the trajectory of the bullet of course but a man standing outside aiming at the heads of passengers inside one would have expected some to be visible even from the air. Just another puzzle. All the people who arrived with all their rescue training must have been pretty convinced they were dead not to investigate further or consider resuscitation technique.
The builders reported the car and living passengers including little girl in the front so either the occupants were killed at Martinet or were secreted out and replaced by dead bodies convincing enough to be taken as them. So you would have had to have vehicles to bring in and take out or helicopter all too noisy and complicated i’m thinking. And why the unnececessary complication of the two little ones. Surely any extraction and replacement would have been far less messy?
The only other alternative would be for the people who passed the builders were actors brought in, the Al Hillis killed elsewhere and somehow got to the site. Not to mention old Mollier. Nah not even I have that vivid an imagination I’m afraid but good luck with your theory.

Indeed, maybe it’s all a teaser for a big new TV series ‘Annecy Vice’starring local lothario SM, big bad international arms dealer SAH,nerves of steel ex RAF panic man, and hero prosecutor EM single handedly pursuing the truth for 10 years in the teeth of an apathetic MSM, bungling cops and fanatical bloggers .. oh and the cute kids, just to get everyone’s hearts fluttering.(Scarily,Columbiana, anybody?)
Just kidding ..
In fact .. to get back to reality, whatever that means, Philippe Didierjean has long been a mystery man, he was originally identified as just Philippe D and there was speculation he could have been Philippe Desmazes, the world famous AFP photographer who was involved in snapping the (in)famous Gaddafi snuff photos.
Certainly the real Philippe Desmazes was on the scene, almost as quickly as the sapeurs pompier, and he was credited with some of the earliest pics. Did he just happen to be back in France, passing through the Alpes on the way to his next intenational scoop, or was he on the same bus from Paris as the alleged Brit military security team, or the French forensic team?
Or did he just happen to be already ‘sur scène’ ready to grab another global exclusive?
I don’t know what went on in the Combe d’Ire that day, but if it was an extra judicial murder by members of a state’s security service, surely the message has to be that this must stop and the perpetrators, whoever they may be, brought to justice.
NR 1:43 AM – Like your Get Rich Quick scheme.
If I may add to it; how about we add a theme park for amateur sleuths from around the world, who can come to stay at a fine lodge in Ugine (SM’s home – or what we think is/was his home-looks like it’d make a good B&B), get a hair cut at Lydia Ringot’s, check out BM’s rental lodgings (courtesy of Silver Fern), where a WBM look-alike will reprise his BBC interview eonce a day (for a modest fee, of course), rent a mountain bike OR race bike to run up the Combe d”Ire all the way to the layBY, there to be provided with magnifying glasses, a glass of spring water and an excel spreadsheet to try and figure out what’s what, why when and which with. For a little extra, a Pajaro 4×4 may be made available and a few locals willing to pretend to be the “Bad Guys” for a sizable donation to the local S&P branch. Lots a great activities for those who are fit enough to race with their bikes up and down to the martinet and beyond.
Seriously though, all this talk of the lovely looking Lake Anency, Droussard, Ugine and little roads weaving up and down the forested mountains makes me want to visit that part of the world real bad. Maybe I’ll do just that not too long from now. Anyone cares to come along for a slightly arduous bike ride? I wonder if this board will still be going come Spring next year?
Tim V 2:25 AM. Appreciate you being kind to my latest outlandish scheme (well, it’s not even really mine – it’s ferret’s suggestion that made me think along these lines originally). Not to worry, BTW. I am not particularly sensitive to ideas being shot down or propped up. It’s all part of working through an infuriatingly complicated puzzle that any way we look at it – seems more complicated than it had to be – whether there was a shooting or something else. What people seem to be proposing here are theories – based on highly incomplete information and just a few facts likely contaminated by deliberate disinformation – around which one can use such logic or intuition they care to bring to come up with something that at least passes the plausibility test. Everyone can see that so far there hasn’t been one theory that fits everything that we either know, think we know or accept we don’t. And so far the motives for the crime, if crimes were committed remain elusive.
Back to the extraction scheme – I think the only reason that could have motivated it being so complicated is that a simple disappearance of an entire family just wouldn’t do – for some reason that is not known. Furthermore, it had to be all of them – Saad, Iqbal and Suhaila – and it had to be particularly convincing -m possibly with the kids left behind as guaranteurs of staying “disappeared”. Though I have no convincing take on what the reasons could be I can surmise the following:
1. obviously whatever agency Saad feared (call it agency 1) had to be fearsome enough with lots of reach (and that’s obviously true if they were killed also)
2. Saad had also friends – possibly another agency – call it Agency 2 – which he may have served and/or been very useful to, or they wouldn’t bother to mount such a costly operation to protect him.
3. those “friends” – Agency 2 -must also be quite powerful to be able to arrange such super-complicated scheme.
4. Agency 2 must have connections and liason with the French as we see there was close collaboration (though perhaps not love). call the French Agency 3 (which I am pretty sure is n ot the same as Agency 2).
5. Agency 1 must have some pull or power over both Agencies 2 and 3 if such a huge effort was spent to deceive them into believing that the AHs were dead and done with.
I can go on but I already see a weakness in my own line of thought: if people on a little internet board can grow suspicious of what has transpired – enough to doubt whether a murder has even been committed – then obviously my Agency 1 would be suspicious as well. What doesn’t add up for us wouldn’t add up for them either.
So there, I reached my own impass on this line of logic. Will have to try again later.
The business with leaving the kids behind is another puzzle – unless they are needed to stay out there as “insurance”.
On your other comment, I see no bar to the Al Hillis being replaced by actors as they drive past the builders. In fact, they would have to be so replaced in the BMW to be convincing to any unexpected witness who can’t be planned on. What bodies were being used could be brought up by another car.
Complicated? absolutely. But so was the meeting at the martinet and the killings, including Mollier and WBM’s appearance and Phillip D’s.

I like the cut of your jib. It could all be a scheme dreamed up by the local syndicat d’initiative!
Incidentally I notice that the one of the first tourist offices in France was set up in Grenoble.
‘Très rapidement, ce sont les Syndicats d’Initiative qui apparaissent à la fin du XIXe siècle, dont Grenoble est le précurseur en mai 1889.’

Horror or Dark Tourism is indeed a growing if controversial trend nowadays!
By the way, just another little crumb in relation to SM’s ‘temporary burial’. Did you notice that one of Roger Mollier’s obituaries was placed by the local association crématistes? A non-political association dedicated to persuading local authorities to provide full facilities for cremation. In France burial is still by far the more common disposal method, but many cemetaries are full and there is a problem with extensions. Their motto is ‘La terre au vivants’ Leave the land for the living. Maybe another hint at the family’s radical environmental activism?

I read the other links you gave re Houston, and a few more pages too, which are mostly paste-up copies of those. You’d know better about the middle eastern connections, but my saltshaker is empty and I still think it’s 90% BS, especially the stuff about AP which is intended to verify RC’s claim that RC was CIA.
That’s totally ridiculous, an undercover CIA standup comic. Also an undercover CIA package delivery person, a job he desperately needed ’cause he was broke after he was “fired” by the CIA. Yet he’s supposedly working for, or a partner of RC. He takes the blame for RC, who while “controlling” the whole vast Port of Houston and catching Mossad sneaking nuke stuff out, also has time to mess with 1000 smuggled ithings that just happen to go thru the package delivery place and AP just happens to steal them.
And AP is also undercover narcotics for Houston PD at the clubs where he is seen with big celebs. The first link goes on and on detailing all his celeb hookups. Then he gets either forty million or 17 million from the CIA for wrongful firing.
I suspect AP is still sitting in his mom’s basement writing this phony stuff page after page (some highlighted in many colors – a sure sign of a nutter) even as we speak, er, type.
Just like that loon XXXX XXXX in the Bradley Manning biz. Wait, it’s one and the same person doing both personas. Or the schizo relative of the SAHs has Internet at the English hospital and is playing both of them, and himself too. If only we could discover what name he uses online he’d tell us what happened at Martinet.
Whatever happened in Houston is so befuddled now there’s no hope of sorting it out. Maybe the “You-Know-Whos” are running both sides of the story, the info and disinfo? The Houston pages give us respectable conspiracy theorists a bad name.
PS: The link for the company of Carneby’s father, now run by his uncle (his father’s brother) from Lebanon: http://www.lms-co.com/ is not gone, but it’s only a solid black page now. The cleaners again?
PPS: Why would a current or former CIA agent who should know better, run from the cops, and then when he stops (or runs out of gas) reaches for something while a cop has a gun on him. Even little kids know not to reach for anything. You sit with both hands visible and follow instructions slowly and exactly.
Wow, a busy night for a change
Marlin,
I really like your early extraction theory…..
The real Al-Hilli family leaves Camping Europa, St Jorioz and the actors arrive at Le Soliatire Du Lac. Who would see them at both camps?
Why was Saad acting strangely and kept disappearing? Because the lives of him and his family were about to change forever.
Really so many wild theories, I still am mystified why anyone could think such an expensive & complex plan of extraction would be in place for this family,it just doesn’t make sense to me at all.
As Olifant has said, what about the children, or do the extraction theorists truly believe ‘everyone surrounding the case are liars…including the children ? That’s just madness.
The truth has to be simpler & more logical, read this & see a fundamental reason to be rid of Kadhim/AH .
They came from Iraq but always had strong connections all their lives, this is where the answer lies ,I’m convinced of it.
The man mentioned has spent millions on law suits trying to keep a lid on the truth, people are getting closer & with the social media expanding law suits are no longer enough…….so elimination has to be the next logical move.

I’m also begining to think the official time frame is pure fantasy, and whatever happened could have happened much earlier, as you said, possibly even days earlier with the official narrative intended to obfuscate and throw whoever well and truly off the scent.
But where then does SM fit into things?

Looks like Sidleys stuffed Carter Ruck from this correspondence, unless there was any subsequent action.

I thought of something else that shows OUR conspiracy is a “real” conspiracy. The principals, BM, PD & his two anon. females, SM, and the SAH’s act like people would if they were involved directly or indirectly in secret intelligence work and spying or hiding Saddam’s money.
We’ve mentioned there are few or no pics, except SAH and ZAH, and hardly anyone admits knowing any of them, except for SAH’s neighbours in the early days after the murders. No FaceBook, MySpace, school yearbooks, etc.
None of these people or their friends claim to work for MI-5/6, the CIA or any other service. Unlike the supposed Houston conspiracy where the victim and his friend both claimed to be CIA, the friend with much publicity including MySpace and a convoluted back-story, there’s even a retired spies’ club, and then other people on either side saying strongly they were or were not CIA.
If SM unluckily stumbled across the scene creation would killing him be the only option?
Roger Mollier wanting to become British, if true, would have a bearing on whether SM also needed to escape his current life. But I cant get my head around it at all.
I do believe the happy family photos were taken to cover the extraction and were probably taken days earlier. The date and time on them does mean either they were taken to deceive or you have to believe the date/time on them. Maybe BST or GMT instead of CET but no other reason for an incorrect date/time seems acceptable.
Both campsites closed within 3 weeks of the ‘murders’:-
Le Solitaire du Lac closed 23rd Sept

Camping Europa closed 22nd Sept

Sometimes ‘wild theories’ become mainstream. Once you step over to the otherside I find it hard to believe your enthusiasm in holding onto the official story. No 2 pieces of the official line jigsaw you are holding has been allowed to be put together without some force. This would be odd with a lot of evidence, but we have so little, yet each story we were fed contradicted the others.

Even today there is a choice.

There’s reams of it, but as far as I have been able to ascertain,Carter ‘R’uck have won everytime…certainly with the Telegraph,Guardian & the Times.

“I first began to fathom the extent of Nadhmi Auchi’s reach and corrupting influence when I was given responsibility for monitoring illegal transfers of technology and munitions to Iraq as well as overseeing all coalition transportation and communications reconstruction in Iraq. ”
