The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.
Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:
the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?
The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.
Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:
Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.
There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.
But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.
The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?
After reading numerous “Mountain Biker” webpages relating to that area AND specifically which mention by name the “Swift” carpark as the start of rides/routes, I can safely assume that…
1. Any keen mountain biker that had visited/was to visit that area and had previously read forums/webpages of local routes, would know where to find that carpark. (SAH included).
2. A keen cyclist that had lived in that area of 45 years would have known (WITHOUT DOUBT) where he was going once he had entered the Combe D’Ire route. (SM).
I may as well add “Number 3”.
3. For the police to even suggest that Mollier was “lost” or had somehow taken “the wrong route” is UNBELIEVABLE.
I also would question “the builders” statement that was first reported. He wondered what SAH et al were doing driving up that route ???
Has he ever read anything on the web about local tourism and cyclists ?
Which then would even seem all the stranger…if Al Hilli had indeed had a bike on his (now broken) roof rack !
That may indeed explain LFR ! A Red Herring !

I wonder whether or not those sports shooters are shooting with ancient guns, too?
Their shooting area isnt that far from the killing place.

2 Feb, 2013 – 8:33 am This point has been discussed in the past. I made the point that the bike at the front of the flat pack lorry, which we must assume was Mollier’s, is clearly a racer from the width of the shrouded tyre. I used this to suggest (even before I think a physical meeting by him and the Al Hilli’s was confirmed by blood splashing (strange that tidbit was released wasn’t it?)) that Martinet MUST have been an INTENDED destination, because his new expensive bike wasn’t intended for off road and he would have been careful not to damage it and Martinet was the last point before going off road. The only alternative would have been the intention to get to this point and then return the same way. Of course the blood splash information put the meeting beyond doubt, contrary to everything Maillaud insisted and kept insisting was the case.

Tim….
Yes…but is it “close, but no cigar” !
As in…
Mollier is lying dead, up a route used by Mountain Bikers.
Now if you can say he was on a “racer”, then you could say he had gone the “wrong way”. And so, he was there by chance.
And yet, as we say, if he was on his racer and was at the carpark, in an area he surely must have known well (as it is also known well by many other cyclist), then we can say “Ah, this proves he wasn’t there by accident”.
So far so good ! BUT.
What if Mollier was on his mountain bike ? (like La Mayor said !)
It could be said that if he was on a mountain bike, he was on his intended route. (And they could still argue he was also there by accident. Just passing through at the time the kiler struck).
But “they” haven’t done this ! Why ?
Well, if Mollier was on his intended route….then it could be argued that he…and he alone was the target.
It could be argued that Mollier was ambushed at that carpark..and that SAH et al were “just in the way”.
It could be argued that his partner knew his route.
And knew the approx time he would be there.
It is of course an assumption.
It also does not rule out that SM and SAH had pre arranged tis meeting.
BUT it could prove that his route was “known” before hand, even if the reasons for him taking this route may not have been known.
About the last few comments: For symbols you’ve now added birds, the martin, the swift and the robin, and fishes in the plentiful red herrings.
If American SISs are the cause we should find an eagle, same for Germans; the British a lion; the Canadians a beaver or a loon; the Russians an owl or eagle. What are Israel’s and Iran’s national fauna?
Re: “Mistress of the shot and wins” there is something in Masonic symbols about “the mistress of the revels” and it also appears in Shakespeare and the writing of Sinclair Lewis, and in some circuses as “the ringmaster” I guess, plus the two clowns or two tramps. Would two mimes count as clowns since it’s France. 🙂 🙂
Mimes would be great witnesses. Their professional ethics demand silence and they’d act out what they’ve seen in pantomime.

@ Bluebird: If the media now makes out Truthers to be bad people, then they, the Liars, are now the virtuous. The world is upside down.
Put simply.
How to make a Romanian Omelette. First catch a Romanian hen !
If you are going to ambush someone…
….you have to know where the someone will be !
I think there are various people that did know where he was to be.
And if Mollier was set to meet Al Hilli, I think that there are others that knew this. Who the others were working for I have no idea.
But Mollier on a racer, going up the Combe D’Ire, without anyone else knowing…is a fable ! Everyone “knows” he wasn’t lost.
But is a great story that makes it seem that only Mollier and Al Hilli “knew”.
And dead men don’t tell tales !

I think I understand your reasoning James
2 Feb, 2013 – 4:16 pm. Rather like cutting edge science, it’s always good to pose different hypotheses and the testing them to see if they stand up to the observed circumstances. I don’t think the type of bike is significant to whether he was targeted or not. I think maybe that’s a step too far. However I do think as I explained, it strongly suggests that Martinet was his intended destination, either to meet someone or just turn round and come back again. I suppose for a serious cyclist the long steady climb, virtually free of vehicles and pollution, may of itself be a challenge and attractive route. However in my experience cyclists prefer circular routes to retracing their steps, which tends to support the notion he was going there at the request of either Al Hilli or a third party, specifically for a meet. I don’t believe if the meet was only between SAH and SM they would have bother to go all that way or needed the whole family. That’s why I think they were doing it to comply with third party instructions. You can exchange information or illicit materials at almost any old lay-by; however for an intended mass killing you require somewhere remote. Now if he had intended a circular route he almost certainly would have used his mountain bike. If indeed the bike removed from the scene was not his, we have to explain whose it was and where Mollier’s disappeared and how. Of course the most obvious solution to this possibility would be if Martin swapped bikes and rode off Mollier’s mountain bike leaving his own racer, to be conveyed by the lorry. However I can’t really see much point in doing so. It would immediately raise questions about Martin’s role and implicate him, being very easy for Mollier’s partner to identify the bike in question. So I prefer to believe the most likely explanation that the racer on the lorry was in fact Mollier’s new bike, and the Mayer’s comment was just an assumption based on seeing Mollier before. Incidentally, as I have pointed out many times before, we know very little about Martin’s bike or what happened to it nor have we much discussed the possibility that after the rendevous, Mollier intended to get a lift back with his bike on the roof of the BMW. LFR saw neither SM or WBM apparently despite the latter being explicit about their route through Chevaline. This is possible. Bicycles can slip past without drawing attention to themselves.
Now the other point about him “being lost” James
2 Feb, 2013 – 4:29 pm. Do we know who originated it? Am I right in thinking it was his new partner Claire Schultz? I agree with you that as a regular cylist who had lived in the area his whole life, it is simply not believeable he was lost at Martinet. If he was there it was because he wanted to be. However I think it can be interpreted as her opinion that he wasn’t where she would expect him to be, a point we agree on in relation to the type of bike he was riding. If so it suggests he had wished to hide his true destination, supporting this was a clandestine meeting. Yet we must contrast with the fact that CS turned up in the RIGHT place and stopped at the police barracade. If this was she had seen/heard it on the news and immediately put 2 and 2 together. If she hadn’t heard it first on the media, it means she knew or suspected he would be in this remote location and she might find him if she drove up the Combe. In the former it suggests Mollier fed her a false trail. In the latter that he confided in her and she was not totally ignorant as to the purpose of the meeting. Which was it?

re queries on the mountain roads: From recollection the 360 degree panorama of Martinet has a sign at the southern end “Vehicules Interdit – Sauf Riverains”. So locals can still go up the forest road – if they have a permit. This is for forestry, farmers, residents, hunters, police etc. Each commune can issue these. How navigable the route is isn’t clear. Probably Tractors, Quad bikes, Moto cross, Mountain bikes, 4x4s etc. The map of PNR Bauges shows a through road as a continuous road/track from the main road in Doussard through to Jarsy. Beside this is a network of red routes for walkers and climbers.
“An ASA was created with jurisdiction over the 4 cantons of Isère. Each project gives rise to an extension of the ASA which has the advantage of not requiring a public inquiry for each project. Concerning the service use by other users, a regulation is implemented upstream with common feature of an order to prevent straying of motor vehicles. The road is closed with a barrier and a restriction sign plus an agreement with the ONF to enforce the regulations. A badge is provided to owners who participate. This is the same principle that is implemented for pastures in Bauges. Please note, the park is currently working 5 municipalities with the implementation of municipal traffic plans.
Le JDD 29/06/2012 – 22:41 He died crushed by a tractor at age 22 A 22 year old man was killed Friday, crushed by a tractor during a logging operation in a stand of trees at 1,400 meters above sea level in Haute-Savoie, according to the police, confirming information in the regional Dauphine Libere. “The man was on a trail and held onto the door of a slow moving tractor driven by his boss when he was struck by the wheel of a forest machine,” said gendarmerie in Haute-Savoie. In this mountainous area of the valley of Ire, situated in the Bauges, an emergency call by the victim’s colleagues, led to intervention by a helicopter. “He was able to be reached, but despite attempted resuscitation, he died shortly after,” said the police.
4X4 ON BAUGES September 4, 2008 18.18 In this village, there is a parking lot at the start of the route toward the Col de Cherel. There is the white panel circled in red meaning “driving ban” complemented by a sign with the word distance 1000 m. This clarifies that the prohibition begins 1000 m. further on. Here there is another parking area. It was in this 1000m zone that two agents of the NFB accompanied by a young policeman, ambushed peaceful hikers who were going to leave their car on the afternoon of Sunday August 24.
The rules need to be clarified. Most of the time, the people we meet are 4×4 mountain farmers, foresters or those who supply them.
Sunday, August 25th, I was at the feast of the Lachat pastures in Arith. I counted just three all-terrain vehicles belonging to mountain farmers. A 4×4 mounted refueling was fined!
I think they shouldn’t stick a pin in a problem that is not one. Was it really appropriate to trigger such an operation with nearly 40 sworn officers on a beautiful summer Sunday in Bauges? ie just “punch” that guy?
By Eric L on 07.06.2010, published on 07.06.2010 September 15, 2009, Francis Saint-Léger, Member for Lozère, filed a bill in the National Assembly to consider approval for vehicles to be able travel in mountain areas on any passable road. at Marilyn Z. Tomlins 12-1-2012 quote: Could a shooter, with or without an accomplice, take another route, namely the forest road which continues – in theory closed to traffic – towards the col de Chérel at 1495 m altitude, and to the Department of Savoie? Not impossible, but very unlikely. What support does this have? It would take an hour and a half to cover some 20 miles over bad roads to Précherel and Jarsy. Above all, when you pass beyond the forest, you are driving in alpine pastures and Denis Janin, the shepherd, did not see a shadow of a motor vehicle, either two or four wheel, on Wednesday, September 5 from his isolated cottage at the Col de Chérel … To be certain not to overlook any evidence, the police installed two barriers on Wednesday afternoon, one at Doussard, north of Chevaline, and the other at Précherel, to list all regular users who have seen the victims’ car or the perpetrators. Ten vehicles are currently being sought by investigators … Le Journal du Dimanche Saturday, September 15, 2012
also MZT The article you’re giving a link to (JDD) fails to confirm whatever the farmer (Monsieur Janin) may have seen or not, but it still provides another clue: the owners of the property those 2 builders were working at, with their sledge-hammer, are also Brits. The name, John Beweek, is probably misspelled, and I bet it should read Bewick. Can’t trust the French when it comes to foreign languages or names. Now what’s interesting is that some other paper (not sure which, was it the Sun or the Telegraph?) once candidly mentioned back then the guy was also a RAF veteran. Small world indeed.
also MZT killer by TGV theory The “train-killer” might have had a local accomplice, who provided the weapon. The killer had all the time in the world to go “around” the mountains, over Faverges and Seythenex, to arrive from the opposite (from the mountains) direction at le Martinet (not going over Col de Cherel). He used a mountain bike. His accomplice hid the weapon along the road a day or so in advance along this route. The killer picked it up. Went to Martinet, commited the crime. Went back the same way as he came. Hid the weapon at the same place. Went to the train, and by TGV back to Paris. A day or so later the accomplice picked up the weapon and placed it in a secure place. The accomplice is never seen near Martinet.

“Bicycles can slip past without drawing attention to themselves”.
Unless you see them, but don’t see them ?
Or don’t say you see them ?
The mere fact that it is mentioned in that interview in a rather a “stressful” situation, makes me think.
People often say the second thing that comes to mind…when they are thinking. I think he wasn’t at the time …and it was translated “as is”.
My mind thinks why ?
Why was the bike that Mollier was riding not been “leaked” ?
Maybe the route was intended and known.
It is very possible.
Look at it this way. IF there was “deeds done” by Mollier and these became known, then it would be possible to either “listen in” to the Mollier household…or befriend someone close to him ?
That would be the “normal” course of action.
You say it is relevant what bike WBM rode that day.
I differ. I think (due to the implications) what bike Mollier rode that day.

Burglary in broad daylight Doussard Friday, November 13, 2009
“It is dangerous to conceal the true facts: crime happens in our campaigns and strengthened year after year. The gang ain, [oldest?] told [called?] chignoleurs [drillers?] because they operate silently with a drill through wood shutters and windows, is shown in 2007 for the first time. Since then, burglaries are increasing day and night prowlers and entering houses inhabited during the day, when alarms are disabled. We had four unannounced visits in 2009.
The police can not do anything as theft or burglary are not carractérisée. In other words, an individual can enter your home if the door is not fermmée key [closed and locked], visit your home and out without a problem unless you can prove that he won something. Morality imprison you at home! The theme of insecurity is not easy to talk about: the police preferred to minimize and silence made to not frighten anyone. but victims should communicate and learn not to be easy targets.
Demolished door with an ax in broad daylight in full in October 2009 doussard among the elderly, it is a first. I’d make a list of people who have suffered abuse in recent years. It goes beyond the debate on national identity: how many alarms sold in France in 2009 and 2010.
Accidental death of Mayor Doussard (31 October 2009)
Jean Claude Deronzier, Mayor of Doussard, died in the mountains, on October 17 in the Bauges. He made a fatal fall a hundred meters on the slopes …
Around the coal, Rosay, Planay, coal, Combe Saturday, July 28, 2007
Starting 10 minutes from the hotel Arcalod: Conducted in June by Brice and his friends in the great wheel of Planay organized by Marco in 5:00. The Versailles Dominique traveled by Klaus up cottage Rosay, history taking some sheep cheeses on site and having a chat with Pascal, who saw the wolf and the passage of vultures.
We laissse cars in Martinet, 3 km above the valley of Ire to climb a steep path to the fountain beech Planay before arriving at 1h30. Another 20 minutes to reach the Rosay held by Pascal Pan and his flock of sheep. It continues until Chalet coal property in the municipality of Doussard, a detour through the cross of King for the exceptional view of the lake, before returning to the valley and return by the steep path up barriers Saury where care was taken to put a second car beforehand.
Coal Tour in Hell hole: D. Kaus Friday, August 3, 2007
Dominique Klaus did not surprise us, but he accused the coup after a solitary walk almost 8 hours and ends his vacation in beauty among us with his lovely wife Teresa.
Dominique Bravo! one above the hollow of Hell, the wrong way on route, we had to manage with skill and composure. I remember the same place, a solitary trek that ended very badly for one of our clients. On reflection, it is better to go through Mont Gelas, as had been planned, if he had a companion. Dominique aisni would have left his car and join the Saury valley directly, earning 2 or 3 hours of walking and avoiding the path and half-forgotten hollow disappeared from Hell. IT might even try the path practiced and very little air that reaches the flat bench, pouring Bornette.
Dominique left her car at the end of the logging road Horses for pénibement around the mountain trail diverted and not maintained which joins that of Mongelas (Saury). It has reached the cottage of the valley in 3 hours, before continuing through the classic Coal, Rosay, Planay, fountain Fayard and Martinet horse and return to the endless road commbe of Ire.
Dominique brings us beautiful pictures. But he regrets having had to leave the feet of sheep, chanterelle, boletus and trumpets of death carpeting the ground in many places it keeps secrets for her next visit.
Hotel Arcalod visitors are given an exceptionally warm and friendly welcome from the owners Martine and Roger.

“Felix has been investigating the following story on Icke that happened after the 25th August 2012:”
A question on Icke:
“I was also suspicious at the time that the boat hire company had gone looking for their boat so soon… ”
Like SM’s partner searching for him right after he was overdue.
“The curtains were closed and the motor was running. I knocked on the side of the boat and the window opened. I saw a young girl who told me she was by herself.”
Another motor idling. Another young girl alone for hours.
“While Didier, originally from Kettering, Ohio, …”
Some sources say born in Ohio. Not a mention in any Ohio paper, state or local, or even a US paper that I could find. UK papers don’t explain how he came to be in UK, what his citizenship was, or where his remains are. There is a Doug Didier, and other Didiers around Kettering, but no mention of John. Maybe Bluebird could find.
“Didier, from Ohio, had worked in IT for the NHS but was unemployed at the time.”
There were cable ties, not unusual, and a purple sex toy, not unusual either, unless the color is a clue, but also a loose hard drive, no mention of computer. What was on the hard drive?
Centrifuges planned for Ohio:

Another high-level gun personality (Navy Seal sniper) murdered in US. This is the third one. Are the anti-gun-nutz shooting the gun-nutz? Or is this one revenge for a sniping, in Iraq perhaps.
