I think any clarity your husband could bring would be helpful. The bits about me are not the important bit – I know about me already! But I want to understand what it’s saying about Usmanov’s influence on the web.

    O/T

    Yesterday in the Lords.

    BBC: News

    Question

    Asked by Lord Ashcroft

To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether they have made representations to the BBC regarding the neutrality of its news coverage.[HL93]

Lord Gardiner of Kimble: There have been no representations or recent discussions with the BBC concerning the neutrality of its news output.

The BBC is required to deliver duly impartial news by the Royal Charter and Agreement, and the BBC Trust is committed to making sure that the BBC fulfils this obligation. One of the ways the trust does this is through a rolling programme of impartiality reviews looking at different aspects of the BBC’s output. The trust is currently carrying out an impartiality review, looking at the BBC’s breadth of opinion, which is set to be published in July.

Fedup, sorry. Can’t get back in myself! Google Candy and Candy (developers of One Hyde Park, partners of Qatari royalty, profits looking sick) – there’s plenty on them.

Fixer 88 looks more like an organisation than an individual (up to idiomatic level in Russian, Spanish, French, Swedish?)…but there’s plainly a Scots connection, isn’t there?

The Werritty trail went cold after the media feeding frenzy in 2010-11. What we’re all interested in is, where’s Werritty NOW? And does Liam still love him?

….. does Liam still love him?

Now, now, that is prying into the upcoming civil partnership party, that Tories are far too busy pushing forward, much to the dismay of all the “swivel eyed loons”, and other grass root supporters, less said about most of the back benches.

Liam will always luv Adam (they have carved a heart with “Liam hearts Adam” inscribed int it, on the trunk of the tree they used to enjoy its shade. Regardless of this all; they share so much and have so much in common, and both like Mat Gould and his causes.

The intriguing question remaining is what will happen to the faghag (the common expression among the fraternity of the homosexuals, don’t harangue at me) currently involved in sort of another civil partnership with Liam?

Could we hear it all from a woman scorned? Or will Liam do lots more visiting to mid east to raise the funds necessary to buy her off?

    All speculation of course.

Clearly the Google algorithm has something in it which reflects past searching behaviour – it helps those who believe in conspiracy theories to find them. Perhaps they should concentrate on paying their taxes instead.

    April Showers

Perhaps he was just Liam Fox’s bag carrier – and since he has been dropped by his master he has just opted for the quiet life?

  • Komodo

RD I think the evidence (available in the MSM at the time) confirms that Werritty was acting as a good deal more than a bag carrier, and Fox was forced to acknowledge this. If he has now been driven into hiding, that’s fine. If he was something undercover, he’s been well and truly blown. Excellent.

But where is he? We wish to assure ourselves that he is in good health, getting his mail, and has not fallen unfortunately out of a window on account of his no doubt wholly innocent activities at two Herzliya conferences.

  • nevermind

So, programmers to the fore. Unless Liam’s lover has changed his facial appearance, he should be visible somewhere.

We need to write a programme that accesses each and every cctv camera there is, develop a biometric close resemblance electronic picture and a rapid search code that acts like a scanner, switching from camera to camera in a jiffy, comparing like is like pictures globally with the original.

Add to that something that looks for slight modulations in nose and cheek structures and look for travel pattern of these faces, log them and compare to other important events.

I’m unable to programme, but some clever Jack could probably achieve this without much being noticed.

What did I hear yesterday… Julian Assange has evidence of spooks chatting about him, about being ‘fitted up’ and that they don’t think that his vindication would free him from the US urge to frame him.

There used to be people working for Governments who had principles and loyalty, who seen more in our laws than just a tool and instrument to keep people down.
So what would austerity Britain do with an incarcerated Australian Senator who has been set up to be set upon?

Just saying, sorry for this O/T, but acute story.

Ah, all is well at GCHQ then.

“RD I think the evidence (available in the MSM at the time) confirms that Werritty was acting as a good deal more than a bag carrier, and Fox was forced to acknowledge this.”

Perhaps it might be more accurate to describe Werrity as an agent of Fox who could then act on his behalf outside the ministerial rules – but I am pretty sure that if it could have been demonstrated that if Werritty was acting as anything other than his master’s voice then Fox would have cut him adrift rather than resigned.

I’ll buy that, partly. Nevertheless, the impression was strongly promoted that Werritty was official. Tetra believed, or claimed to believe this, when the Boulter meeting surfaced:

    Statement from Tetra Strategy

Tetra Strategy was retained in 2010 to provide litigation PR assistance to the Porton Group in connection with its ongoing High Court claim in England against 3M. The case concerned the development of new MRSA testing technology developed by the MoD. Tetra introduced its client to Adam Werritty in March 2011, who was widely believed at the time to be an official adviser to Dr Liam Fox. The purpose of the introduction was to brief the MoD on the litigation. The suggestion by the Guardian that Tetra was paid to arrange a “secretive” meeting with Dr Fox is not true and is expressly denied. Tetra is referring this matter to the PCC.”

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2011/oct/09/liam-fox-meeting-lobbyists-werritty-boulter

And I don’t think that enabling Fox to act ‘unconstitutionally’ was quite the whole picture.

Follow the money. Who paid for all this? Hedge fund managers with a strong interest in Israeli affairs. (Not Fox. Not even Fox’s expenses). The same people who are currently funding Osborne, incidentally. These people made their money by insuring a profitable return on any investment. They’re already bankrolling the Tories in general (and are generous supporters of individuals like Osborne. In general terms, this is quite sufficient. But they had a special interest in having Werritty – a thicko “business consultant” with no experience of defence and a Walter Mitty complex, who would not have rated anywhere in a contest for SPADs – on board with the defence secretary. Enough to pay for it. Why? For past favours received? For favours yet to come? Or for an obedient mouth next to Fox’s ear?

I know why Fox wanted him. Friendship, or more. But I still don’t know why anyone wanted to pay for Fox to have him.

    Anyway, where is he?
