Henry Jackson Society as Bad as Donald Trump 296

On Saturday I shall be speaking at a conference in Edinburgh on the changing face of racism, and how Islamophobia is now not only mainstream but actively promoted by government.

Donald Trump’s remarks have brought appropriate condemnation, but the Henry Jackson Society got there first. In February 2006 Douglas Murray, Associate Director of the Henry Jackson Society, stated :

“It is late in the day, but Europe still has time to turn around the demographic time-bomb which will soon see a number of our largest cities fall to Muslim majorities. It has to. All immigration into Europe from Muslim countries must stop. In the case of a further genocide such as that in the Balkans, sanctuary would be given on a strictly temporary basis. This should also be enacted retrospectively… Conditions for Muslims in Europe must be made harder across the board: Europe must look like a less attractive proposition.”

Douglas Murray also came out with a straight defence of the use of torture by Western intelligence agencies.

Yet the politicians who pretend to be outraged by Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims from the US, line up to support the man who declares “All immigration into Europe from Muslim countries must stop.” Not only Jim Murphy, but a role call of top Blairites sits on the Political Council of the Henry Jackson Society – Margaret Beckett, Hazel Blears, Ben Bradshaw, Chris Bryant, Gisela Stuart etc. All of course enthusiasts for bombing Syria. It astonishes me that the Labour Party is now complaining about “infiltration” by groups on the left when a large number of very senior figures can belong to an organisation which is avowedly neo-conservative, is linked to the US and European far right and is funded by the CIA.

The Henry Jackson Society is the go-to organisation for broadcasters looking for comment on Islamic affairs. I was both pleased and surprised to see the Henry Jackson Society named two days ago in a Guardian article on the mainstreaming of Islamophobia. Pleased because the maximum exposure is necessary to make people understand what people are getting when they see “independent” HJS staff interviewed on the BBC and Sky, and surprised because the Blairite controlled and US marketed Guardian doesn’t usually run this kind of stuff anymore.

I tucked it in to the back of my mind until I came to write this article. Guess what? The Guardian Editors have now excised all mention of the Henry Jackson Society from the article on the mainstreaming of Islamophobia. Interesting that, isn’t it?

The Henry Jackson Society seconds staff to the Quilliam Foundation. This extraordinary organisation is a career vehicle for “reformed jihadists” to milk huge salaries and luxury lifestyles from government money, in return for fronting an organisation run by the security services. Quilliam specialises in denouncement of Muslim organisations and talking up the Jihadi threat, offering “expert advice” on the government’s anti-free speech strategy. At the same time, it seeks to maximise the income of its directors. One interesting collaboration to make money was its collaboration with the current head of Pergida UK, and former head of the English Defence League, Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (Alias Tommy Robinson).

Quilliam have received millions from the taxpayer for their dubious “work”. But their application for Home Office funding to split with Yaxley-Lennon remains an episode beyond belief. Several of Quilliam’s staff are “lent” by the CIA-funded Henry Jackson Society.

Do come along to the meeting on Saturday. Methodist Church, 25 Nicolson Square, Edinburgh, EH8 9BX.

“Are you incapable of logic or reason to transcend the inculcated two minutes hate rituals you are so reliant on and start thinking for yourself man?”

It would appear Fedup has taken a leaf from Macky’s book, a book that doesn’t acknowledge Muslim violence against their own and other faiths in there countries.

Instead of acknowledging Bahrain’s or Saudi Arabia’s poor civil rights record to its Muslim denizens, Fedup has instead gone down the Zionist CIA, Christian zealot haters road.

It all sounds very Abu Hamaza to me.

Reading Macky’s latest comment, it would appear (in his eyes anyway, and possibly Fedups as well) that Iran is a veritable utopia, everyone all, living in clock work harmony, Brigadoon, eat your heart out.

But wait, the Human Rights Commission and human rights activists are at odds with Macky and Fedups utopian society.

A snippet from their findings reads:

Restrictions and punishments in the Islamic Republic of Iran which violate international human rights norms include harsh penalties for crimes, punishment of “victimless crimes” such as fornication and homosexuality, execution of offenders under 18 years of age.

Restrictions on freedom of speech and the press (including the imprisonment of journalists), and restrictions on freedom of religion and gender equality in the Islamic Republic’s Constitution (especially attacks on members of the Bahá’í religion).

But but, wait surely that can’t be right I mean, Macky and Fedup, they both sound so authorative so, informed so worldly wise, surely they know better what’s going on in Iran than the Human Rights Commission.

Thanks, Glenn. Much appreciated. I suppose it was weariness, rather than despair.

I’m very sorry you lost your friend. Please accept my condolences.

It would appear Fedup has taken a leaf from Macky’s book, a book that doesn’t acknowledge Muslim violence against their own and other faiths in there countries.

What book are you talking about?

    You are getting more unhinged as the times goes on, as reflected in your comments which are devoid of any reference (other than getting used as grounds for the customary denunciations) not taking any account of what is being debated, and instead dogmatically haranguing the utter bilge;

….. acknowledge Muslim violence against their own and other faiths in there countries.

    You are clearly a racist and furthermore you are debating in bad faith! As your diatribes are pantograph of the other numskulls fighting the keyboard war for the cause, as reflected in ;

It all sounds very Abu Hamaza to me

Wow how pithy and what a devastatingly cutting “contribution” did you think that all by yourself, or did you have someone write it out for you?

    The fact that you are not reading any of the forwarded points, in case you waver in your hatred of all things Islamic, you then offer the unconscious drivel;

Instead of acknowledging Bahrain’s or Saudi Arabia’s poor civil rights record to its Muslim denizens, Fedup has instead gone down the Zionist CIA, Christian zealot haters road.

As any reader of this thread can readily see the delineation of debate with respect to Wahaby and Salafist genre and the main stream Islam that has been set out in various comments by differing contributors.

Your notions translated into a debate about Christianity is to consider KKK the main stream Christian faith and the Grand Dragon of the Lodge to be the foremost authoritative Christian authority whose edicts are the laws that Christians live by, and adhere to!

The inane choice of a site as a validation that turns out to be a Christian zionist fronted CIA shop front operating out of Dubai Free Zone (the real wild west of the commercial world no laws are applicable and no accountability required, just pay the license fee and no you are a firm go do the voodoo you do the best and con/defraud/rob/lie the world to your heart’s content)and when the provided validation falls flat, RoS picks up where he left and does his/her voodoo; denounce!!!

Restrictions and punishments in the Islamic Republic of Iran which violate international human rights norms include harsh penalties for crimes, punishment of “victimless crimes” such as fornication and homosexuality, execution of offenders under 18 years of age.

Another gem that is being cited without even paying any attention to the small print; harsh penalties for crimes very true how dare Iranians punish their criminals harshly? They ought to follow the same principles as here; murder to be punished with six weeks community service and one thousand pounds court costs as well as £250 victim surcharge!!!

The victimless crimes of “fornication” of course rape as per this gem of a legal chicanery becomes a victimless crimes, and all those rape crimes in Iran become “fornication” as per the stroke of a pen.

Restrictions on freedom of speech and the press (including the imprisonment of journalists), and restrictions on freedom of religion and gender equality in the Islamic Republic’s Constitution

This of course coming without any Irony form someone who does not have a written constitution and it is an “unwritten” (make it up as you go along kind) which then is followed by freedom of religion, as in case of UK that is getting to be freedom of religion so long as you are not a following Islam, wearing hijab/Niqab are not seen to be taking part in any political activity and go about believing “Tony bLair” never lied and praying God save her Madj!!!

Which world are you residing in RoS? Put that bung down and take a breath and take a good look around you; We are bombing the shit of mid East and have been doing so for the last fifteen years! The EUHR charter is too much for the gumbiment that is bent on discarding it, ie the HR are good for the enemy and not for us!!

To say that you have been a disappointment is an understatement, as your stubborn insistence on your originally silly stance has only further unmasked you as a bigot!

To expect that highest standards of civic conduct from the Iranians, whilst we are sending to prison face book fantasist teenagers and then consider the case for Iran!!! But in Iran teenage boys can vote from the age of fifteen and participate in the determining the future direction of their country and girls can vote from the age fourteen but hey that is not voting, because voting is what we say and whom we like to win just like in UK that Corbyn is no good and Cameron or Farage are the only electables!!!!!

  • Macky

    LOL !

Shock horror ! Hold the front page ! Iran isn’t perfect !!!

I tell you something Republic of Scotland, I’ll pity any Muslims (or anybody in fact !) having the misfortune to ever live is any Republic of Scotland that reflected your ignorance & perjudice; you are such an embarrassing liability for those advocating for an independent Scotland, that I cringe in sympathy for them !

  • glenn_uk

Come on now, Macky and Fedup, don’t waste your time. RoS ceased even trying to be taken as a serious poster here a long time back.

Suhayl: Thanks for your kind comments. Not sure if you’ve ever lost someone close that way, it’s utterly maddening, infuriating and heartbreaking all at once.

  • Billy Corr

Britain would be a better and cleaner place if every Muslim could be successfully encouraged to travel to the Islamic shithole of his/her choice and stay there.

  • Tony M

Even if some of those who are not us, have a them-and-us mentality, doesn’t mean we should emulate their failing, and not be us, in order to be them, to them.

  • Tony M

    Billy Corr

It is us, ‘the west’ who have turned their homelands into shit-holes. We’ve installed and toppled tyrants -our own puppets, set creeds indistinguishable from another against themselves, stole their natural resources, urged them, armed them facilitated them to make war on their neighbours, planted a genocidal colonialist settler state on their front lawn, bombed them and their cities, towns, schools, hospitals, antiquities, homes, men, women and children, the aged and sick, their brightest and best, to dust, wiped out entire generations and civilisations. I can understand why for those who have a vague connection in their past, or past generations have, with places like those described above, are less than keen to go ‘back’, if they’ve ever ‘been’ at all. I’m sure too if we left them alone, thse countires, dealt honourably in trade and business dealings, didn’t drive them to breaking-point, and stopped killing them, directly or by proxies and quisling dictators, life in our not exactly perfect society would improve for all here too.

Your prescription is what was once called ethnic-cleansing, a precursor of genocide.

After the Muslims, who, then the Jews maybe, then the ‘fenians’, and the ‘poofs’, ‘lezzies’? It never stops there’s always another, when you’ve got rid of all the undesirables who don’t match up to your ideal, it’ll be just you left, sitting in your underpants. I would not have thought equality was something too hard for even the simplest life-forms to understand. My complete lack of regard for you is an over-estimation of your worth, but I’ve decided to let your ilk stay in my utopia, as an example of where hate leads, and as a figure of fun.

  • Republicofscotland

I see Fedup’s comments are becoming longer and longer yet there doesn’t seem to be any fact based information involved, just wild ramblings, and the use of Macky’s favourite word at the moment bigot.

Macky however has given up completely and resorted to what ifs.

However both scribes have failed to contradict the Human Rights Commissions findings, nor have they agreed with them, instead, they’ve concentrated, on demeaning them, and as usual diverted attention to what the West is doing in the Middle East.

Lets see what the Human Rights Commission has to say about Saudi Arabia, or are they racist bigots as well.

Torture and other ill-treatment of detainees is common, widespread and generally committed with impunity. Reported methods included beating, suspension by the limbs and sleep deprivation. Those tortured reportedly included detained protesters, who were held incommunicado for days or weeks without charge or trial.

Saudi Arabia engages in capital punishment, including public executions by beheading. The death penalty can be imposed for a wide range of offenses including murder, rape, armed robbery, repeated drug use, apostasy, adultery, witchcraft and sorcery and can be carried out by beheading with a sword, stoning or firing squad, followed by crucifixion.

In 2005 there were 191 executions, in 2006 there were 38, in 2007 there were 153, and in 2008 there were 102.

Tony M, don’t worry, I’ve got Bill-Boy covered. I’m moving next door to the Billy-Boy, along with 57 varieties of Daddy’s Brown child, 72 fully-veiled concubines and a camel.

I might even invite a few Fenians to sing the Songs of Derry.

  • Tony M

Thanks Suhayl, my one appearing at 3:59pm was actually posted before the other one, posted at 9:58am, so the the first post might appear to make no sense, unless you read them the other way around, when it still might not make much sense.

He’s a right charmer that Billy Corr.

RoS, we could all agree Saudi Arabia is rank, but they’re untouchables, the west’s bitches.

Knackered after another trip to Edinburgh, not feeling A1, more A68, so night night.

“RoS, we could all agree Saudi Arabia is rank, but they’re untouchables, the west’s bitches.”

    Tony M.

I think you have that the wrong way round, Saudi Arabia can do virtually whatever they want, and the West won’t really bat an eye.

  • glenn_uk

Suhayl: I’m sorry you had to see that filth by ol’ Billy-boy. People like that make me ashamed to be white, in case I’m associated with that bigotry and ignorance.

There’s a “world foods” shop, a bit like a wholesaler really, in town. Been going there for years. Rice by the 25KG sack, all other pulses, spices, oil, lemon juice etc. sold at excellent prices in very large quantities, at probably 20% of supermarket prices. Fruit and veg at very good prices, but with a short shelf life.

While getting out of the car outside the place recently, I had to respond to a missed call en route and was struggling to hear it. Besides the traffic, a spirited conversation appeared to be going on between a couple of the fellows who work in the shop, and the occupants of a car which had also just pulled up. I thought they were rivals taunting one another about a football or other sporting event.

Turns out it was some racist scumbag who apparently feels it behooves him to stop off at least once a day, in order to insult the people working at a predominantly Muslim establishment for being Muslim.

This, from what appeared to be a glue-sniffing skinhead devoid of any apparent grace or talent, to a bunch of very clean living fellows who work solidly for at least 12 hours a day, all year round, in their thriving little business.

I offered then (and the next day) to act as a witness, and ventured that this ought to be reported. They wanted to cause no trouble, and considered it a simple cost of being around in public. It was very shameful to me as a British person. Good ol’ Billy boy here might have been the white racist, for all I know.

    *

Another thing about that place. Once, I was a fiver short when they totted it up. The fellow dismissed any concern, pay him next time. I do not recall any white, non-Muslim shop owner ever letting me owe as much as a single penny, in Britain, in my entire life. Forgot to pick up the large sack of onions I’d paid for on another occasion. Went back the next day, explained, hey – they said just pick it up, don’t worry. Check with who? Don’t worry, just pick up your onions.

Screw you, Billy, for having such lack of grace on a decent person’s blog.

  • Macky

Well how ironic, Craig is speaking today about the delibrate promotion of Islamophobia while on his own blog a filthy piece of Islamophobia is still up a full day after being posted despite being flagged several times.

  • Republicofscotland

Today for the pleasure of Macky, Fedup, and Glenn UK, we have Bahrain’s terrible human rights record towards its own people.

The Human Rights Watch Organisation, had this to say about it:

Bahrain’s human rights climate remains highly problematic. The country’s courts convict and imprison peaceful dissenters and have failed to hold officials accountable for torture and other serious rights violations. There is evidence that the security forces continue to use disproportionate force to quell unrest.

Human rights activists and members of the political opposition face arrest and prosecution and dozens have been stripped of their citizenship. Bahrain restricts freedom of speech, and has jailed and fined award-winning Bahraini photographers.

Migrant workers in Bahrain endure serious abuses such as unpaid wages, passport confiscation, unsafe housing, excessive work hours, physical abuse and forced labour.

    —————

Surely that can’t be right, a Muslim country oppressing its Muslim citizens. Yes Britain sells arms to Bahrain, but it can’t force them to use them on its denizens.

No doubt the triumvirate, of Macky,Fedup, and Glenn UK, will scream….Islamaphobia.

RoS your bigotry is making you look more and more foolish!

Ian Henderson, who has died aged 86, was a British colonial policeman who played a major role in subduing the Mau Mau revolt in Kenya and later served as security adviser to the al-Khalifa ruling family in Bahrain.

Towards the end of his life, however, Henderson had to fight allegations that he had participated in torture in Bahrain, and found himself buffeted by the vagaries of postcolonial revisionism regarding his role in Kenya.

    Then there is

Briton at the heart of Bahrain’s brutality rule

    .
    .
    Expelled from Kenya, 1965 AP

IAN Stewart MacWalter Henderson has torturers on his staff. In the embattled state of Bahrain, he is the most feared of all secret policemen, the General Director of Security and head of the State Investigation Department, a 67-year-old ex-British police superintendent whose officers routinely beat prisoners, both in the basements of the SIS offices and in the al- Qalaa jail. Leaders of the Bahraini opposition believe he is the power behind the throne of Sheikh Issa bin Salman al-Khalifa, and they may well be right.

That is before the torch was handed over to another luminary who landed the cushy job of the torturer general on the back of the cash for honours, after a number of meetings with bLiar declaring there had been no impropriety!!! Yeah the Yates of the yard no less.

But RoS your bigotry and pride in reaming an illiterate oaf taking the better of you, on you go to declare the Muslim world a monolithic world and all Muslims are then tarred by the same brush reiterating your confused assertions, without having read, comprehended or digested any of the comments forwarded.

Saudi and it’s satellite emirates are not the epitome of Islam, they are akin to KKK and their links with Christianity, fact that Mecca happens to be in fiefdom of the pederasts of al Saud somehow does not mean they are the epitome of Muslims!

  • glenn_uk

Don’t bother Fedup – RoS is too thick to realise what a fool he’s making of himself. Apparently, he wants to use the appalling behaviour of some filthy dictatorships to demonise all Muslims. Unbelievable.

  • Republicofscotland

“RoS your bigotry is making you look more and more foolish!”

So now it’s classed as bigotry in Fedup’s eyes, to speak about Muslim atrocities, against their own people, and other faiths, in their countries.

And just to really prove it, he’s now linked to a Hate site ! 😀

Glenn you are so right! Too thick to even understand and pointless to engage with, or any further interactions indeed.

  • glenn_uk

No, Macky – I think you have confused me with someone else. In any case, RoS is certainly worthy of those descriptions. Personally, I think there’s a problem with all religion, period. But RoS’s reference is quite apt for a race-baiting intolerant bigot, the real puzzle is why he wants to hang around on the site of a human rights activist.
