Craig Murray tweeted about two incidents where people making minor protests at the proclaimation of King Charles III were arrested and referred to a “Ludicrous authoritarianism” by the police.

I recalled reading of a protest at the proclaimation of George V by a number of men at the courthouse in Dundalk, Co.Louth in 1910.

“The ceremony consisted of the King’s High Sheriff reading the said proclaimation and concluded with the hoisting of the Union Jack. It took place from the steps of the courthouse with the square infront surrounded by a strong force of military and R.I.C.” (Royal Irish Constabulary).

“The ten men took up position on the flagstones of the ’98 monument facing the Courthouse and continuously interrupted the Sheriff by singing songs and shouting “to hell with the King” and denying the Sheriff’s right to proclaim George as our King”

“One of the members put a ladder against the monument and hoisted the only Irish flag they had, green with a harp, and proclaimed the Irish Republic.
They were approached by the R.I.C. military officers to withdraw or be removed by force. Things became so bad that the Sheriff interrupted reading the King’s Proclaimation to read The Riot Act to legalise the order, he had decided, to remove the opposition.
Having done so the R.I.C. were ordered to “fix bayonets” but the charge never took place. The explanation given afterwards stated that the men were on private property and could not be removed.”

“As far as Dundalk is concerned the Irish Republic was first proclaimed in 1910.”

The extracts are from a book entitled “The Louth Volunteers 1916” and here is a photo of the event where the protesters are seen in front of the Statue plinth and the militray force surrounding.

Not sure anyone will be interested but made the post anyhow.

Personally believe our life experience is a simulation, Matrix 1 is close to my opinion. As a techy, think it’s likely the experience is closest to a RPG, role playing game, where two opposing teams took on a competition, with the dark ones allowed preknowledge, while enlightened ones have to figure out in real time.

Think that says a lot about the dark ones, only our consensus gives them power. Obviously, that presupposes we had a prior existence which I do speculate about. Might post a thread offering discussion if other people are interested, think it might be intersting discussing where accepting the hypothesis of a prior existence leads to.

It means i’m an extreme end, what’s called socialist, (social justice)/libertarian, which to many will sound contradictory. Heh! Just me, course it isn’t that simple.
