The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.
Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:
the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?
The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.
Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:

While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.

Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.
There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.
But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.
The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?

Phillip D. Was only used for the script when the theatre director realised that the audience was struggling to follow that story simply because the star actor William forgot some text and he began to mix up text as he was questioned too often by the audience. The director decided that they urgently needed another actor for backing up Williams story. That was when they decided to send Phillip D onto the stage for 1 minute. Unfortunately his name isnt mentioned in the cast of the theatre simply because he wasnt originally needed for that script but he was an emergency cast only. That was the good old amateurish script of intelligence operations. They need better directors and more convincable actors next time and particularly better scripts are urgently required. The audience leaves the theatre unsatisfied and is questioning script and actors.

That six or more emergency vehicles arrived at Martinet “soon after 4 pm” is not I think subject to doubt. Therefore there are probably around twelve people who witnessed the initial scene. Is it not time that they were permitted by the French authorities to tell their eye-witness accounts? What purpose can be served by keeping this information out of the public domain? Why should the French State be afraid of the truth? One thing they could settle is who they passed on the way up the Combe? According to WBM they didn’t stop to enquire who and PD plus two women and car (?) were doing there? Do we believe that given apparently the circumstances of the crime, some of the police at least did not stop to enquire what they were doing there? We do not actually know at what point the police interviewed these individuals. Did they all leave the scene and make themselves available later on or did some police not in the initial convoy detain the witnesses?

He explained to me with difficulty in bad French that there had been a drama a little higher up. He wanted to alert the emergency services.”
Note no mention of a car here! Would you use the term “hiking up the Combe” if you had been driving up the Combe in a car? It certainly suggests walking to me.
She adds: “”I wasn’t sure whether he didn’t have a mobile telephone or he couldn’t get a signal up there.”
Didierjean said he followed the British cyclist for a few metres before arriving at the car park. “I approached the car. I didn’t touch anything, but I saw at once that there was nothing more to be done. There was no sign of life.” He said he heard no shooting and “seen nobody passing … not a car or motorbike”.

As they DROVE up a hill in the Combe d’Ire forest, near Chevaline, they were met by a “panic-stricken” British cyclist making his way down from the murder scene. He recalled that the cyclist, a former member of the RAF, tried to explain in bad French what lay up ahead and wanted to call for help.He said the group saw no-one as they drove up through the forest and that the killer or killers could have escaped using a winding lane which leads directly to the motorway.”

In some other biz six months back, links that one time worked, disappeared from the big western search engines, but you could still find them on search engines ones most people would not use, like a Russian one.
I am guessing that sometimes when there is a page “someone” does not want seen, rather than trying to block the site, they prevail upon Google, and other big ones, to remove it from search results. Or it may be even individuals can do so claiming copyright violations or counterfeit goods. The pages all came back days later. All “they” want is for nobody to find them while the story is hot.
What if BM and PD were up to something and didnt come clean straight away I would imagine if that was the case they would have found themselves in court for perverting justice or with holding evidence or something .

Thanks NR maybe thats what it is it has still makes me wonder why a club with a long history would want to hide its website I think they use very very ancient weapons and they have the competition results etc the only reason I noticed it was because of the interview with Evelyn Ougier which happened to be on a page of the french paper I was looking at and as she mentions what gunsmith she uses and I thought it might help when people were looking for info on the weapon to know where these places were one would assume the police would have checked all such places in the area anyway.

Tim I think there is a bike on the low loader at the front I can only guess it is SM’s bike as that would be the most logical as it has come down from the top but its by no means certain.
The bike the policeman is holding could be anyones bike too but given that he is on duty and hanging on to a mountain bike made me think it could be BM’s but its only guesswork .
Even the bike in the awning that I assume is SAH’s bike could belong to someone working on the case who has parked it there ,I did notice the camera man did make a point of zooming in on the bike in the awning as if he wanted to hi-light it.
There are various shots around where the photographers are kinda hiding behind the caravan so they can see whats going on if peeps want to blow up those they might be able to see whats in the tent through the window.

My comp died part way through this investigation and I lost all my saved links so I had to start again ,its amazing how many I have collected again ,I used to hoard books,I hated parting with them now I just hoard links which is space saving and means when my comps die I get a fresh start probably best under the circumstances .
One really good one I found was a link to a video I have no idea how I arrived at it I was searching for something ,but the footage was compelling so I sat and watched it without sound and then looked up the subject later .
This footage is well worth the watch and it looks like a very interesting documentary if I could understand it.
