Not Forgetting the al-Hillis 22278

The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.

Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:

the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?

The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.

Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:

Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.

There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.

But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.

The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?

    Back again….

By the way, who is “Ammar al-Saffar” ?

Following “Mark Golding – Children Of Iraq Association”, a previous poster here on this Craig Murray/Al Hilli thread.

This “Mark Golding” posted on this site (see link below)
    http://www.aliraqi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=56523
And was replied to by another poster.

This posters “signature” contains the message
“Pray for Ammar al-Saffar and his family”

London based Ammar al-Saffar returns to Iraq after 16 years in the U.K. …and is kidnapped.
He was the Deputy Health Minister of Iraq, they say. (When ?).

    2008 article
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/7348256.stm

He has a wife and four children. Two sons. Two daughters.
Are any of the females Fadwa al-Saffar ?

Are they related to Iqbal in some way ?

Also… “http://www.coia.org.uk” The Children Of Iraq Association, doesnt open.

I made a detailed review and ancestry of Ammar al Saffar back in September. His family lives in the UK. It must be here on this CM blog or on the first blog of al Hilli on CM.

@ Tim V: Related to sex smears against suicided spies, et al, Craig Murray had this re Julian Assange in his recent thread on Bradley Manning:

    craig 27 Feb, 2013 – 5:16 pm
“The americans were asked not to request Assange’s extradition here because, while the Lib De,s are happy to answer the ludicrous fminist dogwhisle and send him to Sweden on evidently spurious “rape” allegations, the Lib Dems would absolutely have opposed sending him to the USA for espionage – it would be a big strain the coalition really doesn’t want. It also might be the last nail in the coffin for that notorious extradition agreement.

The reputation destroying Swedish “rape” allegations galvanise public support against him. A straight extradition to the US on espionage charges would have glavanised massive public support for him.

If you think about that it is suddenly very obvious.”

    Blue…

    Did we miss anything ?

Mr Ahmed al-Saffar, a Swedish-based pharmacologist and the brother of Suhaila al-Allaf.

Is he any relation to Ammar al-Saffar, the Deputy Health Minister ?

There were high level arrests in this case (2008) but the came to nothing.
Deputy Health Minister, Hakim al-Zamili and General Hamid al-Shammari. both arrested.

Ammar al-Saffar had compiled a dossier of crimes that he was going to hand over to the Iraqi Prime Minister (it is allegedly).

    How high does that go.
    Medicine for Oil program ?
Iranian oil smuggling ? (the old “special Iraqi Blend” Oil)

Just search the two CM blogs for “Ammar”
I have posted everything i could find at that time, including his UK address.

mark golding – Children of Iraq Association22 November 2012 12:02One hopes the BBC is set on a path of destruction simply because the BBC is blindly resolute in supporting a long deceased great power structure that has continued to extend the impossible by deception and war. That deception endeavors to manipulate our thinking by diversion and entertainment in much the same way an ancient Rome near to collapse staged gladiator gore in the arena’s of death. Yet this fondling of our cognitive map is finally emerging as bankrupt simply because the Internet, that great British HTTP invention called the ‘www’ has already begun to evolve our lives from people like Craig who speak the truth in the face of this collective delusion. We realise to understand something is to be liberated from it. We exist in an age of consequence. Too long have we endured a rapacious financial system, abject poverty for millions, escalating war, violence, torture and environmental fall-out. Government and religion have stalled. Our lives reside with war, conquest, poverty disparity and death. Those four Horsemen are active and real. The very trait that enabled us to survive is the very trait that has suppressed us. I believe we can no longer allow the gate-keepers to overwhelm our thoughts and obscure our reasoning. The power of intention forced Israel to cease fire with Hamas. It is that power in our blogs, tweets, websites, films, voice and boots on the ground that will free the people of Gaza from the blades of genocide; the blood of their children will stain Israel, putrefy her cause and render her leaders prostate and paralysed. The sequel is overdue.

@ Tim V: One more related to sex smears against suicided spies, et al: Came across this by accident searching on behalf of Bluebird, ’cause he was a patron of PT’s charity — no further connection. However, it’s another strange story of someone who died untimely (of natural causes) at age 33, in Majorca.

The noteworthy part is what disaster befell Jan Moir and the Daily Mail when they implied there might be something more to the death, and in this case the victim was not a smearable spy, but a close friend of Sir Elton.

James said that the site did not open for him. I can open the site without any problem. That site is very graphic and it should have a warning site attached. I do not recommend opening that site. Maybe you mixed up james with me …

I believe that james has filtering software enabled that does not allow to watch him those images.

  • James

If the Ali Al saffar, an Analysts at the International Energy Agency (the Paris-based oil watchdog) is the son of Ammar al-Saffar….

And Ammar al-Saffar is related in some way to Ahmed al-Saffar, the brother of Suhaila al-Allaf (deceased)….

And therefore Ammar al-Saffar being a relation to Suhaila al-Allaf (deceased)….

That would be strange, if it didn’t make “the news” at any point.
Unless there is no linkage whatsoever.

  • James

    Still can’t open the site.
Think my kit has blocked it with a warning of “dangerous cookies”.

I’d download malwarebytes from BleepingComputer and do a wee scan chaps.

  • James

“And therefore Ammar al-Saffar being a relation to Suhaila al-Allaf (deceased)….”

    Should that read

“And therefore Ammar al-Saffar (KIDNAPPED) being a relation to Suhaila al-Allaf (MURDERED)….”

Don’t struggle with the Golding site. There is no information whatsoever but graphic violence images involving children only. It isnt recommended to open that site. Not worth any hassle.

“My father wasn’t kidnapped for ransom, you don’t kidnap a deputy minister, you don’t take that risk if money is the issue. There’s far more important reasons for the kidnapping, and that was to stifle the investigation.”

Look what happens when you randomly enter a CAD designer’s description in LinkedIn:

    http://sa.linkedin.com/pub/ammar-alsaffar/38/b40/118

Viewers have also searched a person in the U.S. Embassy, and an IT guy with an MBA and self-defence background who works for this company:

    http://www.nextit.com/about/corporate-overview/
    http://www.nextit.com/about/advisory-board/

I wasn’t sure what Gonazaga University had to do with anything. Then I found this:

    This is an aside.

Thanks, NR, for the welcome back.

Have found nothing to support your suggestion.

William Hershkovitz was an ideal candidate for the JAFI internship, as Allison Kaplan Sommer reported in Haaretz shortly after his murder of Armando al-Abed: “It appears he fit the perfect profile for the kind of program like Birthright and Masa: the young disenfranchised Jew trying to find himself.” ( “An American Jew Goes Postal in Eilat: Who’s to blame for William Hershkovitz?,” Oct. 11, 2012)

He would never have been accepted into the program if he had the medical history you suggest.

It was because what happened around Lake Annecy during the massacre, and back at Eilat that apparently made him “go postal”.

Still cannot find a relevant photograph of Hershkovitz at the time: only ones of him as a youth, and one where al-Abed is made out to be he.

Hardly surprising under the circumstances, and one I hope to repair when I visit the Hyde Park area again shortly.

I will outright steal a link someone put at MZT. Nothing new in it except the remark that SAH kept “all his financials on US servers”.

I don’t think the juxtaposition of the two stories is an accident. Someone at The Gazette has a sense of humour.

    Fantastic link, that interview.

“…. and he was actually speaking to my niece, so his granddaughter, on the phone, came downstairs, and that’s when it happened”

Now what is strange about that is, that call appears to be to SWEDEN.

Having googled some links (and some that again wouldn’t open !)
it appears that is where he was calling.
(“Ammar al-Saffar” and “Sweden” and search through the results).

4 Mar, 2013 – 10:09 am As soon as sexual misbehaviour is floated everyone runs for the hills, and all support evapourates. No-one wants to be tarred with the same brush, not to mention their own sexual peccadillos, for you can be sure, everyone has them somewhere hidden away. That’s why it is, and always has been, such a favoured method by the secret services to entrap and enlist those it considers useful. The more outlandish the activity the greater its potential for influence and leverage. One of the problems with a more liberal attitude to sexual activity generally, is that it is losing something of its shock value and blackmail oportunity. Even a Roman Catholic Cardinal can now get away with it (almost). Children and rape are still taboo and retain their usefulness in the secret shinanigans department. I do not know whether Assange is guilty of the alleged crimes or not but I am sure resurrecting them was no accident. It has CIA plastered all over it and was very effective in its desired purpose in shifting the spotlight from message to messenger and even in the Ecuadorean Embassy, ensure he is effectively imprisoned. Linking sexual deviancy to suspicious deaths has now become so well known it is almost counter-productive. It certainly had the desired effect in the Millgan death. Hardly a parliamentary voice was raised questioning the circumstances or demanding a more thorough investigation.

  • James

    Probably one for BLUE.

How does the family “al-Saffar” Suhaila al-Allaf/Ahmed al-Saffar side, fit in with the “al-Saffar” Ammar al-Saffar side ?

Especially if Ammar al-Saffar was on the phone to Sweden when he was kidnapped/murdered.

Just a note on Ali Al Saffar (the son of Ammar). He was born in Dubai and educated in Englandshire.
So Ammar was living there. And so was Iqbal Al saffar before she became Al Hilli.

…in The Middle East, that maybe not such a “shocker”, but is there a family link ?

  • Tim V

    James
    4 Mar, 2013 – 11:14 am you say ““And therefore Ammar al-Saffar being a relation to Suhaila al-Allaf (deceased)….”

    Should that read

“And therefore Ammar al-Saffar (KIDNAPPED) being a relation to Suhaila al-Allaf (MURDERED)….”

I have long thought Suhaila’s role in this thing was rather intriguing including what happened to her son, and that it had been rather overlooked or fallen under the raidar. You might have noticed my suggestion above that the French trip was partly to get Suhaila out and back to either Iraq or Iran or maybe somewhere else. It would be intesting to know if she still has Swedish property interests or it was all rented and could be easily left behind. Taking her in a family group might well have ensured the family could have returned without without causing a major missing person scare. If a close relative had been kidnapped/killed it might provide the incentive for her to slip away preferably with a new identity. Similarly it raises her profile as a target rather than just collateral damage.

Bluebird, all, had a few minutes breather and took a quick look at the Ali Al-Hilli LinkedIn profile, and lo and behold! there, on the “also searched” panel is our Sa’ad Al-Hilli, this time with photo – someone obviously not Sa’ad the Claygate Leonardo. This photo just popped up, as did the profile – identical to the one we had from that other site. Same bad syntax, same poor verbiage (he certainly won’t be getting a job with this kind of advertisement).

We know – from the extensive search you did, Bluebird that this profile wasn’t there. So someone imported it quite recently. Also note the Deena Al Hilli individual who was mentioned here.

But that’s not all – there is our Brett martin – complete with full bio – the “William” apparently dropped summarily.

So I conclude someone(s) are fiddling with LinkedIn who are reading this blog. Their job seems to be to go and “patch up holes” online. If I were you Bluebird, I’d demand a commission. Now where’s the address to demand such? may be try -” Mossad, c/o Ayalon prison, Israel”?

Tim V – I have some comments for you too – regarding your theory about Suhaila – but time is pressing (and I haven’t yet – mastered the art of making some out of nothing).

    Marlin, James

There are some connections. I posted those back here and on the other CM al hilli blog in october or september 2012. I am afraid that there isnt more to find than i already did. There were plenty of posts regarding Ammar.

Just open both blogs and search for Ammar and you will find it here including more links.
Unfortunatly back then there was not much attention paid on my Ammar al Saffar report and ancestry. His son Ali is an Iraq blogger and he writes for NYT.

    Linkedin
You must always be quick when searching on linkedin. After some weeks or months there is only fake there. Either accounts created by idiots or accounts created by intelligence to confuse deeper insights or accounts previously created by the same people as their alter ego (like Zygier’s). I would not waste any time for linkedin regarding prominent or prominently dead people after 2 months. It is crap by then.

  • Suhayl Saadi

Still going, eh? I was going to say (in the nicest possible way) that reading this thread, one begins to feel a little like the proverbial long-bearded hermit in a cave.

But nowadays, after Tora Bora and AQ/OBL’s movie production industry (a rival to Stepehn Spielberg, Roman Polanski and Cecil B De Mille, no doubt!) a quite different inference might be drawn from that once eccentric yet benevolent image.

The Al Hilli case has gone completely quiet in the media, hasn’t it?

  • Q

    NYT: Well, enough said.

Things take on a new perspective, BB, as new information reveals itself (Ben Zygier, for one).

Nice to hear from you again, Suhayl. Yes, things are quite quiet in the media, with ever fewer sounds from Mr. Maillaud. The story has been put to bed, but the hermits are still in the cave, sans red wigs.

  • Tim V

ref. the above discussion another incident of a couple being shot @ http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2013/mar/04/devizes-shooting-family-concerned-mental-wellbeing

The thing that caught my attention was that after a career in the police Mr Dowling worked for the Ministy of Defence for five years. He had recently returned from a months trip to Australia. It would be interesting to know the purpose of the trip and where he went. Not Monash surely? Then again no mention of MoD or Australia in this Gaurdian report. It seems that recently Mr Dowling used to carry his gun around with him more often. More pheasant shooting rather than any suggestion of feelings of vulnerability of course.

Then there is this little quote: ‘The neighbour added: “It just doesn’t make sense. They were a lovely couple and he had recently spent a lot of money doing up the house.”‘ Get cracking BB!

Some links on Ali al Saffar (Ammar’s son)

    This is him:

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/profile/ali-al-saffar

    He runs this forum:
    http://britishiraqiforum.wordpress.com/

There is a report from him regarding his father:

    http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2010/03/04/iraqs_elected_criminals

He also has an active twitter acount.

While searching for him, it came to my attention that the same al Allaf family is speeled different:

    Al Allaf
    Al Qallaf
    Al Qalaf
    Al Khallaf
    Al Galaf

It is all the same family. Just different translation into Latin letters.
Suhaila can be Sohaila or Suhyla. This is all the same, too.

There is even a Sohaila al Qalaf facebook page linked to an Ali al Saffar, howevet, this account is still active and gets updated. However, for somebody who speaks Arabic it is probably worth a look for the available readings.

    Blue.

Re Ali the “Iraq blogger and he writes for NYT”.
Yes he shares a passion for writing sure enough….

And the author (or Co author) of several published articles.
Not just “blogs”. These mainly on Iraq and economics.

And those skills are not wasted in his actual job either.

    He is an “Analyst”.
An Analyst at the “Directorate of Global Energy Economics”.
And that direcorate is in the “International Energy Agency” (Paris).

    Basically…. if there is a link…
The Al Saffar/Al Hilli union (on a political level) makes them “no ordinary tourists” at all.

Infact, both families would hold links to “Pre Ba’ath party” and “post Ba’ath party” ruling authorities within Iraq.

And those parties were not totally “blanc de la blanc” as the French say.

I would go futher. The current authorities “have to” work for the Americans to withdraw.

    1. Isn’t that “govt” run by AECOM now ? They are a previous employer of “Dutch” Al Hilli ?

    2. Isn’t there “talk of” Al Saffar having a dossier on the crimes of the leadership which he was to release ?

If this were so…and if Iraq was dealing with Iranian oil smuggling (which it is) and this was done “with approval” of the Council of Representatives (AECOM ?) and with the “nod” of the Zionist regime…..suddenly you have a hell of a lot of people involved in the Al Hilli/Al Saffar camps.

AIS ? SSTL ? IEA ? and the COR (AECOM) ?
I would most CERTAINLY be s**ting my underwear…if I heald that piece of information.

What proof is there of that ?
….one sure way that proof would never get seen, is to provide proof positive that actions of a extreme nature will be will be bestowed upon you, if it is released.

To me, The Martinet was (is) a message.
From Mossad ? From the CIA (MI6) ? From COR ? Who knows.

This massacre will never be solved….simple because it can be solved. But I doubt anyone would be brave enough to ignore a “message” of action.
