    Hey, Jay!

    “Habba with news release yesterday on the possibility of Fluoridation of our water supplies, with your current interest in the vaccination programs how do you fell about this news.”
    ____________________

    Well, it’s not really accurate to call my interest in vaccination programmes “current”, I’ve been interested in them for quite a while. That’s why I found Mary’s call for fewer infant vaccinations interesting as well, I suppose. And I’d still be interested to hear from her exactly which infant vaccinations she’s get rid off, but I guess she’s too busy posting about Palestine/Israel to tell us.

    Anyway, thanks for your interest in what I think about fluoridation. In reply, I regret to have to tell you that I have no views in the matter.

    In return, I’m interested in your bowel movements. Were your stools satisfactory this morning? Is everything OK?

    “I sympathise with your anguish, but I wouldn’t get my knickers in such a twist if I were you. You mention “two seats”” – are you aware of the total number of seats being contested in France at these elections?”

    In your usual non evidence providing way, you are belittling the murder of immigrants in Germany and the harrassment of the Banlieue’s by the Sourette by saying ‘oh its only in two seats’.

    Well its says a lot about fascism in France and how close it is to the Conservatives aim to get back into power, equally here were UKIP’s simple messages, amplified by a rabid media, is spreading the collective jitters through the Conservative ranks, bad enough to make consessions to these rightwingers.

    you seem to like the European rightwing network of Wilders, Le Pen and Jobbik, why else be so noncholant.

    Fact is that the rising islmophobia in Europe is the common thread running through this network and our BNP, national front and Oooops, Likud are all part and parcel of it.

    what shameful lament to make Habby and we don’t mind you are wearing knickers.

    Ahh, trying to change the meaning of “neglected” now.

    I did say visitors were few and far between but they are far from being “abandoned and neglected” as you claimed.

    Take a deep breath, Nevermind, and calm down.

    You made a claim (something you “had heard”.)

    Why? Anger management issues?

    No, I’m pointing out that the FN and UMP are envisaging an electoral deal in two constituencies – two out of hundreds. And advising you not to draw paranoid inferences from that.
    BTW – I take it you were referring to the Sûreté when you wrote “Sourette”?

    Wrong again. It says nothing about fascism or France. It says that in two constituencies (out of hundreds) local UMP members have defied the UMP’s national leadership and have made it known that they will entertain a second-round electoral pact with the Front National.

    I made no case for reducing infant vaccinations. It is for a qualified doctor to decide what vaccines a child is given. Vaccines are not like sweeties.

    I pointed out that children develop needle phobias. The t===l has obviously never worked in a hospital or health centre and seen the distress of the child and the mother when a blood sample is needed or a cannula has to be inserted. It is an indisputable fact that BIG PHARMA make large profits from vaccine manufacture. Remember the SARS and the Tamiflu panics. Cui bono?

    GSK’s Cervarix is another vaccine where there is a risk of adverse reactions and where young people are left with the impression that there are no risks to health from sexual activity. There are many of course and genito urinary clinics are now being closed.

    I have made it to safely and healthily to my seventies without a blanket coverage of vaccines. I do not even have the heavily promoted flu vaccine which contains the swine flu component. Ridiculous.

    A note to an MP ref the lack of any signatures on George Galloway’s EDM which I linked to earlier.

    What a disgrace that no-one has yet signed this EDM.

    It shows how low Parliament has sunk and how out of tune MPs are with the public conscience. It is of course a painful reminder to MPs of their failure to exercise due diligence in the search for truth before committing this country to one of the foulest wars ever.

    It is also a reminder of their reckless disregard for this nation’s reputation, not to mention their responsibility for the consequent slaughter of at least half a million people and the trashing of their heritage.

    And let us not forget that the British Parliament’s monstrous crime came on top of the 600,000 children that died as a result of 13 years of devastating economic sanctions imposed on the Iraqi people before the war began – the sort of brainless spitefulness your ministers indulge in to this day against other countries, other innocent civilians.

    Will no-one stand up, sign up, and admit they were wrong?

    MEPs denied access to Gaza

    An official delegation from the European Parliament has been denied access to Gaza by the Israeli authorities.

    The cross-party group of three MEPs (Chris Davies, ALDE/UK – Norbert NEUSER, S&D/D – Nicole Kiil-Nielsen, GREENS/FR) had intended to meet with officials from the UN Relief and Works Agency to discuss the use of EU money on humanitarian projects in the Gaza Strip.

    Israel has severely restricted access to the 1.7 million people of Gaza since 2007 in what has been described as an exercise in collective punishment after supporters of Hamas took control.

    Exports from the territory have virtually ceased since then and economic activity has been strangled.

    UNRWA receives more than €100 million annually from the European Union, much of which is spent on emergency food distribution and the provision of education within Gaza.

    Israel claims that the MEPs from the European Parliament’s delegation on Palestine through the Erez crossing will not be solely concerned with humanitarian matters,

    But the allegation has been strongly refuted by the MEPs, who say that Israel’s closure of the Gaza Strip is in breach of international law.

    They say: “Israel has inflicted an economic catastrophe upon the people of Gaza and the humanitarian consequences are all too well known.

    “Instead of preventing MEPs assessing where European taxpayers’ money is being put to good use the Israeli authorities should be hugely grateful for the EU’s efforts.

    “The Geneva Convention makes clear that Israel is responsible for the well- being of the people under its control and occupation, but the EU is paying bills that are rightly Israel’s responsibility.”

    From the Palestine Ambassador to the UK. He does not say what he’s going to do about it though.

    Mary

    I not trying to use what you wrote about vaccinations as a stick to beat you with. I am using it to try and make you understand that your inability to keep your mouth shut and not bad-mouth absolutely everything – even things most people would welcome – makes you appear very silly and gets you into embarrassing positions from which you extricate yourself only slowly and painfully if at all.
    *************

    “Vaccines are not like sweeties.”
    _______________

    Indeed not. I didn’t say they were, but that was actually the implication of YOUR post. As a matter of fact, some vaccinations are a legal requirement and there is no one serious in the medical field or elsewhere who disputes the value of the other ones you mentioned in your original post.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    “I pointed out that children develop needle phobias. The t===l has obviously never worked in a hospital or health centre and seen the distress of the child and the mother when a blood sample is needed or a cannula has to be inserted.”
    _________________
    They do – and so what? And how many? Some children are afraid of the dark and some people scream when they see a mouse or a spider. And you’re right – I’ve never seen the distress in hospital of a child with needle phobia. But I have seen the consequences of TB, polio and, in later life, of mumps and rubella, and I know which one I’d rather see if I had the choice.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    “It is an indisputable fact that BIG PHARMA make large profits from vaccine manufacture.”

    _______________________

    They probably do. Again,, so what? How do you know that those profits don’t in part go to fund the development of new medicines and vaccines?
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    “GSK’s Cervarix is another vaccine where there is a risk of adverse reactions and where young people are left with the impression that there are no risks to health from sexual activity. There are many of course and genito urinary clinics are now being closed.”
    ________________________
    Yes, there is a risk, as there is with practically all medicines and vaccines. And with all operations for that matter. But again, I think most normal people would accept a possible adverse reaction as a reasonable price to pay for an effective vaccine against cervical cancer. And please don’t try to dirty the argument by claiming that this vaccine is being “sold” as giving immunity from health risks arising from sexual activity – you know perfectly well that this is not the case and that the health professionals who administer the vaccine are not saying that.
    “I have made it to safely and healthily to my seventies without a blanket coverage of vaccines.”
    I congratulate you on that. But perhaps you were lucky – luckier than the children with polio before the Salk/Sabin vaccines finally came along….
    Patronising, hectoring and lecturing as usual. No point at all in responding. A response, even indirect, produces another wash of the stuff.
    His comments on the Andy Myles thread already form 20% of the total submitted.
    @Mary
    I suspect the lack of any signatures for the EDM was because it was tabled by George Galloway, but it certainly seems that many MPs fawned and are still fawning about Tony Blair. Sadly, the British public seem to admire a warmongering prime minister, and the incumbent’s popularity is boosted in the polls whenever (s)he talks about the latest media-created threat. Wasn’t there something in “1984” about being almost perpetually at war…
    The MPs clapped Blair from the rafters when he resigned and made his final speech. Such is the state “representational democracy”, British Edition, in the 21st century. Thank goodness for 38 degrees. Still thinking of voting UKIP (or Green…)
    Got it one
    Thought for the day – anyone noticed how many private communications regarding the Ukraine have been intercepted and made public by Putin’s puppets and received no little comment from the Eminences. Just a guess but if communications intercepted by the NSA and GCHQ rather than the KGB, and they painted Putinistas and terrorists in a similar light then the reaction of the Eminences would have been rather different and morally inconsistent.
    For the avoidance of doubt I am against all blanket surveillance whoever it is performed by.
    did you catch Sillars debate with Galloway BBC2 Scotland Monday 24th March. I’ve just about lost all the respect I had for him after the Iraq War. There was one good, true man in that debate ……it wasn’t Galloway!
    “http://truthaboutgardasil.org/about-2/ ”
    That should really read the half-truth about Gardasil. As usual with anti-vaccine propaganda websites it concentrates on the side effects and shies away from providing the full picture.
    As of March 2013 22,000 people have reported side effects after a Gardasil “jab”. This is out of 57 MILLION doses administered since 2006 or 0.03% and 92% were classed as minor (ie rash or swelling). It may only protect against four types of virus but they are the most common types.
    Ouch! Those bloody meercats are more trouble than they’re worth….almost.
    I see where you are coming from and while I believe it’s fair to flag it, I don’t believe it invalidates the point Orlov is making . “…she is talking about murdering people like me.”
    I’ve experienced and observed few of the permutations of national ingrained and unexamined attitudes…English towards Irish, Welsh and Scots, Catholic Irish towards Protestant Irish, and Walloon towards Flemish and vice versa. In this light I can accept your observation re Orlov’s casual reference to the Ukrainian language as a “village dialect” but feel that it is significant in the way that an English person might use phrases like, “throwing a paddy” or “taking the mickey” without necessarily realising their origins in a cultural soup of disparagement towards the Irish.
    Ba’al Zevul pointed out that the “village dialect” remark is peripheral to the actual discussion (thanks B). It is, but it’s a worthy diversion and I’d love to spend a week drifting down the Dnieper with you on our canoe and listening while you fill me in with your perspective and broad knowledge.
    Dad will look after the meercats, but for heaven’s sake don’t tell him before we’ve left.
