The furore around the election of Dr Manivannan to the Scottish Parliament is deeply troubling. There is no argument whatsoever that they were eligible to stand for election. The law was changed specifically in order for those on temporary visas to be able to stand in Scottish parliamentary elections.
I confess I am not sure that is altogether a good idea. I can see arguments both ways. There are far too many people amongst our neighbours who have to manage their lives through the Home Office’s discriminatory, hostile and prohibitively expensive immigration application systems. It is good to see such people given a voice.
On the other hand, there is a reasonable expectation of legislators having a fixed stake in the country for which they legislate.
I suspect like most people, the question had never even occurred to me until the current furore over Dr Manivannan and I have to give it some thought.
But whatever view one takes on what the law ought to be, the law as it stands is clear. Dr Manivannan was eligible, stood, and was duly elected.
That Scotland has subsequently been rocked by shrill calls for Dr Manivannan to be deported by the immigration authorities, I therefore find appalling. It is not only a denial of democracy, it is without doubt motivated by the most basic hatred and bigotry, both racist and anti-trans. To see such sentiments so openly espoused in Scotland I find deeply disturbing.
Almost amusing is the argument that, while it was perfectly legal for Dr Manivannan to stand for election, it is illegal for them to be elected.
This argument was first adopted by the radical anti-trans campaigning group For Women Scotland. This group was founded in order to oppose self-ID for trans people. 99% of its output is anti-trans rights argument. They would, however, have us believe that their objection to Dr Manivannan is nothing to do with their being trans, but a longstanding, though hitherto silent, interest in the minutiae of immigration legislation.
The practical reality is straightforward. The Scottish elections happened to fall just after Dr Manivannan completed their PhD.
There is the usual short gap between finishing the thesis and the formal end of the academic year. They are therefore still on their student visa.
They are in the process of applying for the next graduate visa. This would be the position whether or not they had been elected.

A new visa will be needed. It seems highly improbable that the Home Office would refuse one.
A seat in the Scottish Parliament is hardly unrelated to a PhD in Political Science. Quite apart from that, the democratic mandate ought to carry considerable weight.
I know Reform UK has coarsened political discourse across the UK. But to hear gleeful demands for an elected immigrant to be thrown out is dispiriting. Some of these voices even come from within the Scottish independence movement.
I also find the extreme anti-trans positions being put forward in relation to this case downright depressing. The Workers Party of Britain simply tweeted “Trans women are men”, while their lead candidate for Edinburgh argued directly that gender dysphoria is a mental illness and mentally ill people should be banned from parliament.
I have frequently complained that the gender identity question is dominated by such extreme and unreasonable positions. The complete denial of the validity of any trans people is an extreme position. It also rolls back 40 years of broad societal acceptance.
I first met Jan Morris in the 1980s, and have known several other trans people since. For decades, there was little open intolerance. I can’t recall anybody ever suggesting Jan Morris should not use women’s bathrooms – least of all the feminist movement of those times.
Feminism then was about breaking down sexual barriers, not erecting them.
The extraordinary attempt of the US-originated movement to erect differing gender identities into a compulsory and strange ideology transformed the situation. Attempting to introduce compelled speech is not something I support – I try to use people’s preferred pronouns out of politeness, for example, but it is not a matter for the state. The purpose of a pronoun is to specify an individual, not to signal political correctness.
The issue of self-ID led to a real political fracture. Personally I favour treating people as they wish to be treated, which favours self-ID. That is polite, tolerant and kind. But most people find the idea of people self-identifying themselves into women’s elite sports, or reserved women’s positions on boards, to be not obviously desirable.
Personally, I have always specifically opposed the idea that those who have used violence, including but not only sexual violence, against women should be able to self-identify into women’s prisons. That seems to me a blindingly practical exclusion.
The problem is the pro-trans lobby is equally dominated by extremists. They argue that any restriction on the ability of the individual to immediately self-identify is unacceptable, and any restriction on their being treated as their gender of choice is discrimination.
The problem with this position is that it assumes nobody ever lies. The problems for the trans movement has been caused by their inability to accept the existence of fake trans people. You cannot deny by ideology the existence of human criminal behaviour.
In practice, there are a number of men who pretend to be trans, but are not really trans, in order to gain access to women in various situations. I took the position that these were extremely rare and wrongly used to introduce smears against trans people as criminal into the debate.
But then, a succession of shocking cases in Scotland made me realise that my initial views had given insufficient weight to the need for protection of women from fake trans people.
I have had arguments with trans advocates who simply refuse to accept that such people exist. The cases of Isla Bryson, Serenity Francis Johnston, Katie Dolatowski and Alexandra Stewart are notorious and they do exist. They cannot simply be wished away.
They are certainly not representative of trans people in any way, but the debate could helpfully be shifted from the deliberate confusion of trans people with sexual perverts, if only the trans lobby would recognise that men falsely pretending to be trans do actually exist and this needs to be guarded against.
My own position is that anybody guilty of a sexual or violent offence should lose their right to change gender. I believe changing gender should be a right, but some rights are normally lost when you commit a serious crime. It seems to me that is the coherent basis for policy.
However I also believe that nobody should have their rights circumscribed before they have committed any crime, and the mantra of “you can’t tell which man is a rapist” is deeply wrong. It is as offensive and dangerous as racial or other profiling.
The “gender-critical” faction in Scotland have, as usual, reacted to my defending Dr Manivannan on social media by accusing me of adopting all kinds of positions I have never held – like allowing convicted rapists to self-identify into women’s prison, supporting medical intervention in children, or trans women boxers to compete in the Olympics.
Neither side of the debate seems able to comprehend for a moment that people of good will might be trying, in good faith, to find compromises to balance rights so that trans people may lead full and happy lives while hard-won feminine rights – and safety – might not be endangered by faux opportunists.
But it is difficult to explain anything when everybody is screaming at you.
Here is a truth. Scottish people are not stupid. It is extremely well known by now that the Scottish Greens have a very strong line indeed on supporting trans rights and gender self- ID. The Scottish Greens regard my own position outlined above as extremely reactionary. They are fully signed up to the ideology of gender fluidity and its compulsory acceptance.
In the last two Scottish parliamentary elections, alternative pro-Independence parties have stood, noisily, on the very specific and openly stated position that “Trans women are men” and that they oppose trans rights. Most notably Alba in 2021, but also the Independence for Scotland Party and the Workers’ Party of Britain. Famous Independent candidates like Fergus Ewing and Ash Regan also made this a major plank of their platforms.
The party I stood for, Alliance to Liberate Scotland, while having no formal position on the issue, featured mostly candidates who are vocally anti-trans.
Next to nobody voted for them.
A lot of people voted Green.
All of the pro-Independence parties which adopted extreme anti-trans positions got derisory votes, fractions of one per cent. The Greens got many times as many votes. That is how democracy works.
Nicola Sturgeon derailed the SNP when she shifted its emphasis from Independence to identity politics. There is no doubt she shifted the emphasis on purpose. The toxicity of the trans issue in Scottish politics is her legacy – she approached it in the most abrasive and divisive way possible, and used it to force out of her party those not loyal to her. The single most important cause of hatred towards trans people in Scotland is Nicola Sturgeon.
None of which was the fault of Dr Manivannan, but they are the current lightning rod for the resultant hatred. Which is entirely unfair.
It is par for the course that the Tories and Reform are attacking Dr Manivannan. Bigotry is what they do. But for alleged socialists and Independence supporters to join in is deeply dispiriting,
Dr Manivannan has done nothing wrong and is by all accounts a very pleasant and gentle soul. They were elected. Please stop the hate. This member of the Scottish parliament, elected by the Scottish people, must be defended against any attack from the London-based UK Home Office.

ach, fuck aw this bollocks….Celtic won the League today: that’s more – immediately – * important * to me than all the commentary here ( including my own comments ), at least in terms of giving a little bit of enjoyment/ * satisfaction *. Mon the Tims 🙂
I don’t think it is bigotry to expect anyone standing for election to be a citizen of that country. I can’t think of any nation where such a situation would be allowed. For all we know, Dr Manivannan could be a pawn of others to discredit the Scottish Parliament.
Yep, this is symptomatic of the rot in our society. And, it hasn’t happened ‘accidentally’, this has been planned and put into action by nefarious groups with the aim of disrupting and destroying societal norms. Regardless of whether Minivanman is legal or not, this is the thin edge of a wedge that will lead to disaster. Accept this madness and we’re finished. Pointless wittering on about the law when the abomination that is Scotland’s government is publicly pissing in your face and laughing about it. People question why Tommy Robinson gets support, well now you know, doh !
Hold on. You consider Tommy Robinson to be the standard bearer for societal norms???
A criminal cokehead and brazen shill for genocidal Israel?
C’mon read what I actually wrote, FFS.
@zoot – What’s your explanation for why Tommy Robinson gets support?
“And, it hasn’t happened ‘accidentally’, ”
Of course not, look at just the comments on this blog, it’s got everyone arguing about stuff that only affects a tiny minority, while he world drifts into WWIII.
Yip, job done, B. Too many people getting into a ” right state ” over things that neither directly affect them nor that they have any control/influence over, whilst seemingly either totally uninterested in or ignorant of things that will REALLY REALLY affect them, like, eh …..global nuclear war/catastrophe. It doesn’t help that the Political Caste & MSM are incapable of telling the truth about anything of importance. Or in the case of the former, even of understanding the grave implications of what they’re supporting/advocating.
I’m constantly being reminded of Kenny Everett’s daft ” Let’s bomb Russia, yeah ” performance on some award show years ago. He could be excused, being a, let’s say…unserious, if funny and likeable character. The clowns who are pretty much saying the same things have no such excuse – or redeeming qualities. All they’re lacking is Kenny’s daft gigantic ( false ) hands.
Lets end life on Earth. YEAH!!!
Everett said “let’s bomb Russia” at a Conservative Party youth rally in 1983 not at an awards ceremony. As for being funny and likeable I found him neither. Just a smug disc jockey so typical of that ilk at the time.
@Frank – Yes – he said it (along with “Let’s kick Michael Foot’s stick away”) at that rally four days before the 1983 general election. Still wearing the false hands, he then chummed with prime minister Margaret Thatcher on stage, who applauded him.
He was roped into it by Michael Winner.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-g1exgkHsU
For some context: the government had already announced that USA cruise missiles and the nuclear warheads they could deliver would be brought to Greenham Common in Berkshire, where they arrived later in 1983.
Yes, Frank, you’re correct. I’d forgot the context of KE’s stupid comments. A real ” Cupid Stunt ” moment, and NOT in the ” best passible ( Yank accent ) taste “. Yes, he was a bit of div, but not , I think, touched with that insufferable ” hey, we put on records, so we’re just as worthy of adulation as the people who make them ” preposterous conceit as his DJ peers – mercilessly & brilliantly piss-taken by Harry Enfield’s ” Nicey & Smash ” characters ….” let’s rock ” !!!
I seem to recall he expressed regret for that piece of stupidity at the Tory Conference and I never thought he really meant it . I did find him funny though, at least the characters he created were: but taste in humour is very subjective. Like most other things. really
Why is there a question as to whether Everett “meant it”?
Britain had just fought its most public war for nearly 40 years and a right wing government that called the left traitors and was rejoicing in allowing a large increase in the stock of nuclear weapons in Britain (curiously, belonging to a foreign power) was standing for re-election. This was also the government that threw large numbers of mentally ill people onto the street. I can’t see there’s a question about whether Winner and Everett meant it or it was “just a wind-up”.
I suspect that is precisely the objective, ie scunner people so much by making Scottish Politics a laughing stock, eg by filling Holyrood with a menagerie of weird, single issue monomaniacs ( the more obscure and irrelevant the issue to the Scottish Electorate the better ), get in people from elsewhere with zero prior/family/other connections to the country and lace it all with stupifying incompetence & blatant careerism -et voila! Reform’s stated ambition to close Holyrood down begins to look like not a bad idea( as an aside……there seems to be something truly bananas about that mob – Reform – exerting time, money and effort into contesting the recent S.E with a Manifesto that contains that ambition – so, they want to win as many seats as possible and then, what, close the place down and the candidates that were elected give up a very well paid, cushy number? hmmm, I can’t see it. )
It’s obvious to anyone who looks and listens that the rapid progress of Parties like Reform and useful idiots like Robinson is in essence down to one issue – Immigration, and that issue is the very one Parties like the snP, Greens, LibDems ( LabCon make noises about ” doing something ” but in practice do nothing ) consider an inviolable, sacrosanct sine qua non of their * Progressive * virtue.
Even decent people like Craig can’t seem to get their heads around the idea – the truth – that not all people that have questions about, eg the degree of annual immigration, the character, past history and intentions of these immigrants and what the overall effects of substantial immigration is having on their – often already neglected/ crime-prone – communities are ” Racists ” or are scapegoating others whilst ignoring or simply not understanding where and with whom the real causes of their difficulties/struggles originate. We keep being told that we need immigration – lot n lots n lots of immigration – eg ” to pay for future pension/pensioners “, to compensate for an ageing workforce, do menial jobs ( the subtext of that one being * locals * are too lazy, picky to do them ) and generally under the largely unexamined shibboleth that it’s better to DIE than not believe DEI is – at all times and under all circumstances – an unalloyed Good Thing – is it?
What about the looming, seemingly inevitable devastating effects of AI on future employment? If there are more people in the country chasing fewer jobs, how will that impact on social relations/cohesion?
Creeps like Robinson are a symptom of the malaise, not the cause. If politicians continue not only ignoring the legitimate concerns of the electorate, but treating * ordinary * people like unevolved, racist bigots & ” phobes ” of one description or another, of course people like him and Parties like Reform will continue to gain support. In the latter’s case to point of likely becoming the next UK Gov
Yes.
The solution to Robinson is not banning (after all, we all believe in free speech, don’t we ?), the answer is addressing the issues he raises, and they are real issues: Immigration, religion, houses, jobs, healthcare, pensioners. These are things that real people care about, on the whole most people don’t give a f*ck about blokes in dresses, as long as they’re not kiddie fiddlers. Uncontrolled immigration is impacting the country negatively, and the boat people are a small proportion of that problem. People like Minivanman are a bigger issue, they arrive on a study visa then stay on. Is the country really, critically short on ‘international relations’ graduates, what about his homeland (India) ? Or is it just a spare seat on the gravy train to enable the harvesting of votes from minority groups ? So, address the issues Robinson raises if you want to defeat him, simples.
His supporters look like right plonkers – dressed as crusader knights and shouting “Christ is King” while denouncing holy jihad. Even Alf Garnett didn’t go that far.
I won’t be surprised if Reform win the Makerfield by-election on a program of Brexit. The constituency is 95% white.
Around 65% of Makerfield voted for Brexit, i.e. they voted Powellite, in 2016. The big question is how many of them think they got what they voted for.
Reform probably need about 37% to win. They can win if they put up a candidate who doesn’t look like a coked-up football hooligan wearing a suit for a court appearance (so they’re probably best advised mostly to keep Tommy Robinson out of it), and who doesn’t have visceral contempt for her own audience on the level that Katie Hopkins does.
Just imagine the offers both sides are making to the Greens right now…
“Religion”?
“We keep being told that we need immigration – lot n lots n lots of immigration – eg ” to pay for future pension/pensioners “, to compensate for an ageing workforce, do menial jobs ( the subtext of that one being * locals * are too lazy, picky to do them ) and generally under the largely unexamined shibboleth that it’s better to DIE than not believe DEI is – at all times and under all circumstances – an unalloyed Good Thing – is it?”
What we are not told is the real reason we need lots of immigration, which is that you can only make money out of lending money at interest if there is continual economic growth as the borrower can only afford to repay the principal and the interest if they have turned that £x into £(x+i), where i is the interest on the loan. For growth you need an increased supply of bodies, both to produce the commodities in the first place and consume them once they are produced. Sure this can be done by productivity improvements, but these are hard compared to simply importing more bodies. If the banks hadn’t got the entire country hooked on debt in the last fifty years, we wouldn’t need so many immigrants. The other necessity for growth is that people tend to get antsy if all their wealth is taken by the ultra-rich, but people don’t notice so much if there is growth in the economy and all the growth is captured by the same billionaires. People notice losing money far mare than they notice not getting more. Immigrants also make a handy blame sponge: why have people notice you are robbing them, when you can pretend it is someone else doing it and let them take the heat?
What “growth” there has been for decades has been mostly illusory.
Plus, they need the type of immigrants desperate enough to deliver meals by bike, work on building sites or farms, or work on the cheap at care homes. Personally, in my dotage I would want a British-trained carer or nurse (white, black or brown, I hasten to add) not someone who arrived in the country a couple of years earlier, who understandably might not fully understand the language, national culture or the particular community they were serving. Mainstream politicians and the media throw around the ‘racist’ smears to hide the fact they are importing cheap labour on behalf of the bosses, and to keep the national GDP growth figure above zero, and thereby also hide the economic toll of Brexit. Bringing in workers, and often their families, from the developing world, who are poor and low-skilled to begin with, and therefore already reliant on the state, doesn’t help native British people of average means at all – it helps the employers and the rich. More people means, almost by definition, less available, affordable housing, for a start.
Of course, the other thing with immigration which is usually swept under the carpet is that the west is stripping the third world of all its potential human assets. This insures the third world will stay in a depressed, stagnant, vulnerable state. Isn’t this colonialism in another form ?
There are plenty of indigenous people in the UK that would like a career in medicine and care. However, the government has set up a scheme (scam) to ensure there are limited places and limited career opportunities and no money. Cheap foriegners ensure the profit margins are high and vulnerable foriegner staff can be oppressed and abused to maintain those profits.
War and profits ensures everyone loses apart from the 1%.
” Isn’t this colonialism in another form ?”
No, that is what colonialism has always been about: the colonies provide resources cheaply and buy services and manufactured goods from the colonising country expensively.
“What “growth” there has been for decades has been mostly illusory.”
Agreed, it has been growth in GDP which, let us not forget, is increased by digging holes and filling them in again.
If the state can increase pay and conditions to attract applicants or poach them from abroad, dictate inferior pay and conditions and persecute migrants with the race militia, what do you think they’ll do?
We need to make sure that anyone with a job gets equal treatment, even though the capitalist pigs depend on inequality.
@Stevie – “There are plenty of indigenous people in the UK that would like a career in medicine and care.”
Yes indeed. But the rulers would much rather import medics from the third world who can’t speak English properly but can just about manage to read words off a card – in the state health service, this is – than admit that children born into poor working class families in Britain have just as much “potential” to work as surgeons etc. as rich brats do whose fathers were surgeons before them. This is WHY there’s not an effort to train medics locally. Diane Abbott made a similar point about nurses.
Come off it Tom, Scotland County Council can’t be more discredited than it’s made itself.
In Vance Packard’s ‘ The Wastemakers ‘, 1960, one chapter is titled ‘ Progress through Planned Chaos ‘ and another ‘ Hedonism for the Masses ‘.
From the Hedonism chapter:
‘ Another approach used in promoting hedonism in the United States was to encourage, to a state of chronic itch, the tendency for Americans to love change in their lives. Anything ‘old’, ‘used’ or ‘permanent’ was to be disdained. A marketing expert counselled the home-furnishing industry: ‘ Make people discover for themselves that there is fun and pleasure in changing their decor. Establish a standard based on changeability not on permanence .’ All this helped provide a philosophical base for the throwaway spirit, already discussed. ‘
Obviously the ‘change’ industry, and its bastard child ‘self-improvement’, has morphed into a form of population control. Changing one’s decor, why stop there! Change your body!! And how was it pushed? Perhaps by writing and releasing a counter-culture song called ‘The Times They Are A-changing’. Regime change, climate change, sex change, spare change and it’s all goody-good. And then when one has enough change, go and push it on someone else.
And call one person ‘they’, don’t slip up now or you’re gonna get it, phobe!
👍for referencing Vance Packard. He made a very useful contribution.
Hi Brian,
he did indeed:
The Wastemakers might be free online, by now.
Another book worth reading is: The Art-Forgers Handbook, by Eric Hebborn . It is free online.
” ‘ Hedonism for the Masses ‘.”
or, as the Romans put it, “Panem et circenses”.
@Ewan2 Thanks for the nod to Vance Packard, I see that he was prolific.
I don’t understand this article because the English used makes no sense. I am a long term supporter and monetary contributor but you’re riding the wrong horse.
Seems to me that Scots don’t take their country or the the idea of independence seriously if they’re allowing people with no definitive right to remain to stand for their parliament. The whole thing is a larp.
It seems that everybody in the UK, from the King, to Craig, to the toilet cleaner use labels to bully each other, hence the avoidance of labels is essential, it is also an excuse for not facing reality. Reading this article, I can see Craig is dancing around the potential labels that could be pinned on him. The self censorship is hilarious. First, ethnic nations are racist, so shouldn’t you all be campaigning for the abolition of England, Scotland etc because they are racist constructs? Shouldn’t you get rid of all passports, all immigration because it is all so racist? Love those labels, so meaningless to intelligent people yet so powerful in the self-flagellating people of the UK.
As with the Americans, the UK citizens have lost control of their country to financial elites. The rot was there during the Churchill days, but it has since gained a lot more traction, with the rich milking the country for their own purposes while the media tell us that the NHS cannot afford another nurse. Of course, immigration is a result of this. Wages gradually fall in real terms until British citizens can no longer live the way they are expected to live while working those jobs. As a result, the government brings in cheap workers from overseas, many of whom will live a lower standard of living in shared accommodation etc. The standard will continue to reduce until they eventually start training chimps (oops, AI) to do the job instead. The people have no weapon against this sort of persecution by the financial elites; they don’t need you and you don’t have what it takes to fight back. Your culture is being similarly suppressed, what with the danger of comedians being arrested for hate speech etc. The core elements survive for the time being, but it won’t be for long. The financial elites don’t need you, they don’t want you, they don’t like you and have as much loyalty to the UK as to any other country; get used to it.
“As with the Americans, the UK citizens have lost control of their country to financial elites. The rot was there during the Churchill days, but it has since gained a lot more traction, ”
In the past, the elite needed the citizenry to make money from them. With the growth od computing and financial capitalism, they think they no longer do. However, they will eventually learn that you can’t have an ecosystem populated only by carnivores, but by that time it will be too late for mankind.
@aspnaz – “Wages gradually fall in real terms until British citizens can no longer live the way they are expected to live while working those jobs. As a result, the government brings in cheap workers from overseas, many of whom will live a lower standard of living in shared accommodation etc. The standard will continue to reduce until they eventually start training chimps (oops, AI) to do the job instead.”
Are you saying you think automation (if we can use that as a general word to cover robotisation and “AI”) will increase the living standards of either British people, guestworkers, or both? (Because it won’t).
I assume you’ll next be asking for proof of the beheaded babies stories. It’s all BS.
As a handy ‘rule of thumb’, assume everything zionists tell you is a lie.
The problem isn’t trans people, nor anything that is likely to happen any more often than a lottery win. We used to be pretty tolerant and even celebrate those who had undergone reassignment (I know this is something not every trans person wants) The problem is that a small, tiny perhaps, group is shouting very loudly about trans people in sports and fake trans people. Yes, this exists but just how many people in the UK are trans, play sports, are competitive and at some level above ‘just for fun’ It’s vanishingly small, just as the number who fake being trans to gain advantage when being jailed.
The reality isn’t a problem, it’s those who deliberately want to inflame public hatred for their own reasons. They should also remember that if trans people have to use the bathroom of the sex they were at birth then you’re going to see a lot of men going into the ladies, they will look like men, dress like men and act like men – but as they were AFAB this will actually be what the haters want..

“AFAB”== “Assigned Female at Birth”.
An idiotic acronym.
Noone is “assigned” their sex at birth. Their sex is observed and recorded.
That you use the term suggests that you have jumped the (trans) shark.
The concept of “Assigned Female at Birth” makes sense from an inhuman, dehumanising, information-filing and labelling point of view that is seen by its deranged users as what is essential and “obviously” superior to the supposedly backward, thicko, outdated, Morlock practice of saying when a baby is born “it’s a boy” or “it’s a girl”.
The individual’s gender assignation record states “female”…clicks heels…SIR!
The scientific outlook did of course arise in all-male institutions (Trinity College, Cambridge and the Royal Society to be precise).
It’s so striking that at the exact time when the word “misogyny” is uttered by so many sheep who have no real care to think about actual hatred of women (which exists and is worth talking about but it’s very rare), the effort to suppress “what it means to be a woman” (which has nothing to do with what bureaucratic tossers write in their files) is ramping up.
Andrea Dworkin had it right.
”Noone is “assigned” their sex at birth”
========
Almost true —but not quite.
This terminology was increasingly applied to DSD (intersex/ hermaphrodite) newborns from the 1950s onwards.
Doctors sometimes had to decide which sex such a child would be “assigned”. when its anatomy was ambiguous.
This legitimate label, applied to a tiny proportion of infants, has been hijacked by Trans ideologues and applied to the whole human race. Likewise the letter “i” for intersex in LGBTIQ+ . This allows anyone to claim anything about their “gender” anywhere, any time. The “assigned” at birth truth brcomes, in almost 100% of cases a lie when used by Transactivists.
Trans ideology is (partly) founded on this lie. It is on a par (if not worse) with other ideologies founded on lies- Zionism, racism , fascism et cetera.
Craig: you would not give the time of day to any of these. I have to tell you, as a long time admirer, you have backed the wrong horse here.
The extremist trans movement in the USA is apparently backed and funded by some unpleasant characters, eg. Jon Stryker.
Don’t know if the Scottish movement is the same, if so there is an agenda, which is probably nothing to do with trans people.
In Scotland it would be more difficult to tell if it was a man dressing as a woman – or if he was simply wearing a kilt.
Not just in Scotland, but in Afghanistan too:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W10mNKhsRFg#t=83m56s
Is “Jimmy Riddle” not rhyming slang for a synonym of “pish”? Very appropriate handle.
Jimmy Riddle
The kilt is a traditional dress item for Scots men, however its now mainly used at events such as weddings etc – surely you are not that inane to think men in Scotland walk about in kilts? or maybe you are.
Mr James Rydell, or “Jimmy” as he prefers to be known on his infrequent jaunts north across the Coldstream Bridge, was surely taking the Piddle…
He may even be well aware that women traditionally don’t wear kilts, and that if you see a geezer in Glasgow who’s wearing a kilt otherwise than for a formal occasion he’s quite likely to be from New Zealand or maybe Australia or Canada.
I heard that tartan was invented in the mid-C19th as a marketing manoeuvre. According to Stewart Lee, Scotland was invented in 1905 to sell more toffee.
If anyone took that superficial resemblance too far, he might find out why German soldiers called the Highlanders “ladies from Hell”.
I wonder how all the many, many other species on this planet, which have different (but often complementary) roles for the different sexes get by without one of the parents “assigning their gender at birth” to their offspring.
El Dee.
For me there’s no such person as a trans person, trans from what to what, you are either male or female with the exception of hermaphrodites – superficially you can give off the appearance of being the opposite sex, but you cannot actually be the opposite sex – those that say they can – and their backers know the real truth – but they are either in denial – too afraid to say the truth for fear of being sacked, and cancelled – or they are on the puberty blockers companies payroll.
Trans is a mental condition, yes it exists, but it is not a physical condition.
News just in is that Sall Grover, CEO of a women’s-only social media app in Australia, has lost her appeal against a 2024 Federal Court of Australia ruling that she discriminated against trans woman Roxanne Tickle by excluding her from the platform.
Australia branded ‘laughingstock of the world’ after trans woman wins £10k for being banned from girls-only app
“… A women’s rights advocate has branded Australia “the laughing stock of the world” following a landmark court decision on gender identity.
Sall Grover, the chief executive of women-only app Giggle for Girls, lost her appeal against a 2024 Federal Court ruling that found she unlawfully discriminated against trans woman Roxanne Tickle by excluding her from the platform.
The court also upheld the trans woman’s cross-appeal, increasing her damages from AU$10,000 to AU$20,000 and ordering the app founder to pay up to AU$100,000 in legal costs.
Women’s Forum Australia chief executive Rachael Wong has now voiced her shock at the ruling – and issued a dire verdict on the state of her nation.
She told Sky News Australia she was “still in shock” at the outcome.
“I don’t think any of us thought that it was going to go this way. It’s even worse than it was in the last instance,” Ms Wong said.
Ms Grover herself also voiced her disappointment shortly after the judgment was delivered.
“I am absolutely devastated,” she wrote on social media.
“Men who claim to be women have more rights than actual women in Australia,” she said.
“It is women who are being discriminated against, not the men who claim to be us.”
Ms Grover added: “But in a sense, nothing has changed… We will all wake up tomorrow and men will still not be women.”
Her app’s verification technology judged that Roxanne Tickle, who was born male, appeared male.
The 57-year-old was subsequently removed from the app in September 2021.
Ms Wong argued that Ms Grover should not have been forced to spend four years fighting the case, sacrificing her business and family time in the courts.”
Guardian / Observer columnist Sonia Sodha tweeted her opinion at the outcome of Sall Grover’s appeal.

All this trans woo nonsense just plays into the hands of the far right.
Most women understandably ignore the lunacy of trans activists. But when they are personally affected – like the English/Scottish nurses or girls forced to compete against men in sports – they are nudged towards supporting the only parties that oppose the lunacy.
The far right oppose trans woo, no doubt for opportunistic reasons.
Which makes the intellectual treason of the centre and left hard to forgive.
” Which makes the intellectual treason of the centre and left hard to forgive.” Agreed, JK. What used to be called the Left has lost all credibility and not only – or mainly – for that ( capture by the forces of irrationality ) reason, more grievously for it’s submission to Neolib/con political tropes/policies.
There are still a few ” old school “, ie principled, Left Wing members of the political class extant but they are nowhere near being in positions of power/influence and most often marginalised within their own Political Party. The public must take it’s share of blame for this dispiriting scenario, but it’s hard to blame people too much when all they ever see, hear & get is variations on Right Wing pabulum. And even then, not much variation: a few insignificant tweaks here and there, whilst absolutely no attempt at a genuine, radical overhaul and deposing of the prevailing Neolib/con dogma from any elected Pol; particularly those in the governing entity
The left is the only place that has credibility, I think you meant “the left”, a miscellany of middle-class pseuds pretending that they aren’t Tories (Officials) in cardigans.
Andrea Egan the head of Unison – said she would be very uncomfortable defending the nurse (and real woman ) Sandy Peggie if it came to it.
Indeed – we are in a very scary place indeed when there is any issue whatsoever on which, of the various political parties, the only ones telling the truth are on the far right, and the ones outside of the far right are talking obviously deranged nonsense. With, in this case, the truth being what everyone used to know – namely there are exactly two sexes (or “genders”).
@ JK Redux:
The issue is that a trans woman used the New South Wales and Australian legal systems to harass and sue the author and CEO of an online social media platform intended to provide a safe space and service for women – and the courts not only took the trans woman’s side but even awarded the plaintiff more damages.
A trans woman called Roxanne Tickle? – would anyone here call that a serious name?
( With apologies to The Artist Who Will Always Be Known As Prince )
It’s just another TACO Monday; Oh such a fun day; Yahoo’s been undone day; Trump is on the run day
Not having a great week is he? Subjected to high-grade trolling by the ( masters of subtle ego-balloon popping ) Chinese. Not met by Pres Xi upon arrival, as, eg Obama was; obliged to sit in the equivalent of a baby chair, his lower status in Chinese eyes all-too-visibly illustrated; basically treated like a tourist and, crucially, handed a big fat O in terms of concessions and agreements and even if the Curious Orange will attempt to defy reality and bluster ridiculously about his great success from the trip, as is his compulsion, everyone knows he was – in diplomatic terms – humiliated. Which is probably why immediately upon his return to Marshmallow-Y-Lego he started in again with his laughably bombastic threats to reduce Iran to, well, the same condition as much of the U.S infrastructure and, metaphorically, it’s political * culture *. Only then to TACO-out – again.
Obviously, it’s a good thing that he didn’t follow-through on his threats, but is there anyone outside of his MAGA Cultists; * Christian *-Zionist Rapturist lunatics and, maybe, a couple of stray dogs with imperfect English that takes a single word this buffoon says seriously anymore?;
Craig, questioned Peter Oborne’s claim that Andy Burnham would surely be tougher on Israel than Starmer. And it increasingly looks like Craig was right to be skeptical. For starters, the MP who resigned his seat to make way for Burnham is Josh Simons . Simons, was once a policy adviser to Jeremy Corbyn. Despite reports he resigned after demotion due to “suspected leaking”, Simons cited the party’s “persistent failure” to tackle antisemitism as the reason for his departure from Corbyn’s office. He later contributed to the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s investigation into Labour antisemitism. On the subject of Israel & Gaza, it’s been pointed out that Burnham hasn’t commented on social media about Gaza – well, not since the 2012 Gaza war – Operation Pillar of Defense. And back then, Burnham merely stated he would talk about the ceasefire in a radio interview scheduled the next morning. You’ve got to wonder why a pro-Israel supporter, like Simons, would make way for Burnham, when Starmer seems to be giving Israel as much as he can in terms of support? Has Burnham promised not to enforce the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrants, to which it appears Israel’s far-right finance minister, Bezalel Smotrich has just been added, or maybe not seek further sanctions? Why is Simons doing this?
Since announcing his candidacy, Burnham has been pressured into walking various statements back; he was pro-rejoining the EU, now says the matter is settled. He talked about loosening Reeves’ fiscal rules straitjacket, but a jittery bond market saw him promise no changes to those self-enforced spending rules. He says he won’t allow Corbyn back into the Labour party. Quite how he hopes to unite the party and end factionalism, without such a gesture is hard to fathom? Remember the Greens now have 230,000 members, which is larger than the Tories and possibly larger than Labour. Burnham has very little to offer seemingly. But it gets worse, much worse: for a long time Burnham has been dropping hints that he favours reformiong the Westminster voting system to a proportionate one. Burnham, however, in recent days, has stated he favours switching to the supplementary vote system (SV) – this system was used for mayoral contests until the Tories scrapped it returning to FPTP. SV allows voted as first and second preference. Burnham favouring it makes you question his intelligence :for not only is it not proportional, but it’s actually worse than the rejectred AV(ranked voting)! Here’s why: So far, the leaderships of the Tories and Reform have shown no interest in working together. What would happen in an election held under a supplementary vote(SV) system? All Tories would put Reform as their second choice, and all Reform voters would put the Tories as theirs – solving the ‘divided right’ problem for them. And because unlike AV (which is a ranked preference) system requiring candidates garner some support from other parties to get 50% +1, the Tories/Reform could dominate with SV via simple plurality, as with FPTP. We either need PR or forget about it. Depressing stuff from Burnham.
If you want to occupy the hot seat, within reach of the gleaming levers of power, there are three camps you need to be in: pro-Israel (and hence anti-Palestine and pro-genocide), pro neo-liberal politics (and hence pro-NATO and anti-Russia and China) and pro neo-classical economics (and hence anti any fiscal policy that doesn’t shove yet more money in the direction of the already obscenely wealthy). Andy Burnham obviously realises this and is setting out his stall accordingly.
Bayard
Caroline Lucas, the former leader of the Greens, thought the Greens shouldn’t even put up a candidate on the basis that Burnham backs the Green policy on introducing proportional representation. That’s clearly not the case.
The only way we will get fairer, more representative PR, is if you have a five-way split of parties, each getting 13-25%. For once winning a seat becomes a lottery for the big-two, those politicians will show a lot more interest in the idea that 18-20% should result in 18-20% of the total seats allocated. Getting 20% or below was once unthinkable for the big-two, in a GE,…not anymore. And below 25%, under FPTP, can’t guarantee many seats at all, unless the vote is super concentrated in some region, a la the Lib Dems in the South West.
“The only way we will get fairer, more representative PR, is if you have a five-way split of parties, each getting 13-25%. ”
There is an alternative to FPTP that is simple, requires little change, has been used for centuries and is still in use in this country, which is multi-member constituencies. That this system remains confined to parish and town council elections suggests that it is the one that will be most detrimental to the Red and Blue Tories who have until now, enjoyed a duopoly in Westminster. If Britain gets PR, you can guarantee it will be a system that is as like to FPTP as possible while not actually being FPTP, such as AV or SV, or one that lessens or removes the imporatnace of individual candidates in favour of political parties, like the D’Hondt system used in Scotland and Wales.
And PR gives you an average or mixture of those who all take the same line on these things. Pseuds and cardigans have been mentioned.
A good rundown. Burnham is clearly a cover for centrist/ zionist restoration; their means of saving Labour and ending the unexpected rise of a leftwing, anti-genocide alternative in the Greens.
I would only add to your list that he is also a militarist/ warmonger. He told Bloomberg a couple of weeks ago that he is prepared to break Reeves’ fiscal straightjacket but only for more guns and bombs.
zoot
The fact Burnham has made time to express sympathy for Ukrainians on social media (Twitter/X), but not Gaza and Gazans, is quite bizarre. Having a ‘no-comment’ approach, as a politician, on the basis of concentrating on domestic mayoral duties would be understandable. However, his willingness to talk about Ukraine, shows that isn’t what has prevented him, so what has?
There are many identical to him in that Ukraine-Gaza respect.
Affecting horror at the former, while completely silent about their own governments’ participation in infinitely worse.
Ah, The MKIII Burnham, the latest Labour-saving device. The MKI Corbyn worked well, but not in the right way and had to be withdrawn, the MKII Starmer worked brilliantly at first, but soon broke down and now appears to be beyond repair. Will the MKIII recapture the market?
@Goose – “You’ve got to wonder why a pro-Israel supporter, like Simons, would make way for Burnham“.
The answer may not be “so that Burnham can become prime minister”.
The plan might be to have Burnham get defeated by Reform in the by-election, and then in one storyline Wes Streeting could become prime minister and Labour would be lucky to finish in fourth place in the next general election. That’s quite a long way off though. If Streeting stays out of it, Starmer would be as weak as Bill Clinton was – thanks to Monica Lewinsky – during previous Middle East talks.
It would be good if someone could post who’s well informed about Manchester organised crime families and whether any fault-lines have become apparent in their relations with Burnham. If he loses the by-election the respect he can expect to be held in in Manchester (among figures with real influence in the city) will fall through the floor.
Brian Red
Independent polling shows Starmer would completely thrash Streeting in any hypothetical head-to-head. For members, it appears it’s either Burnham, or stick with dull bulb Starmer. Surprisingly, even Rayner can’t beat Starmer in a match-up. The hollowed-out membership, at least what’s left of it clearly sees no real leftist option. Basically because of this PLP. is a product shaped by McSweeney – they put an emphasis on attracting candidates from outside, with nothing in common with the Labour movement or politics : Labour Party/Future Candidates Programme/2021 to 2022 https://wikispooks.com/wiki/Labour_Party/Future_Candidates_Programme/2021_to_2022
If Burnham does take over and offers little new, he’ll end up as unpopular as Starmer in short order. I’m quite surprised they are moving this early, tbh, as surely it would be better for AB to come into the role, nearer the election – going to the polls when people are still in the ‘give him/her a chance’ honeymoon phase.
Agreed that if Burnham becomes prime minister, when the shine comes off him it’s not going back on.
The by-election result will further weaken Starmer whatever it is.
I’ve now watched campaign films for both Andy “I’m so much one of you that I’m your politician” Burnham, and the Reform candidate Robert “I’m so much one of you that I’m not a politician” Kenyon. Doubtless there is drama to come. Burnham has probably made himself some capital from the improvement of the bus service, and his persona is certainly skilfully run (including his clothes). But saying “Shut up” when people mention Brexit may soon have diminishing-to-negative returns in a 95% white constituency. He may be vulnerable on child sex abuse gangs too. Can’t think of a precedent for someone who isn’t a party leader running on a “make me PM” ticket in a seat election, by- or otherwise. Reform have got to attack the mayor somehow, which may not be so difficult in a big city overrunning with organised crime. As for Burnham, he may have a chance with over-60 reactionary voters, I dunno.
Many who claimed they would never get fooled again like they were by Starmer are stubbornly refusing to see who Burnham is despite all the evidence. Devoted to the fictional People’s no matter what. Many of them have them have even remained devoted to Sir Keir despite everything.
Media Lens sum up well the new leadership election playbook of Labour centrists, which ‘Andy’ is cleaving to:
‘When they want your vote: working class, ‘ordinary’ people, ‘local’ people, football, everyone together, a pie and a pint.
When they’ve got your vote: national security, terror threat, big business, fiscal responsibility, Israel, ‘the door is open, you can leave’.
* fictional People’s Andy
Won’t get fooled again, yet here we have people getting excited debating which POS takes the next turn at running the POS labour party, as if we have some sort of functioning democracy !!
It’s a game to them, and the jokes are on us, nothing changes, move on …
Move on to what, Officer? Being fooled by Mr Tommy Robinson and obsessing about trans nonsense?
@ Stevie B. Aye, I’m also a bit puzzled why people are talking as if there are any good options for the * Labour * Party.
I suppose what they’re really pondering is what the least bad option might be: alas as things stand, there are no ” least bad ” options: they – all prospective candidates for the top ” How far up Israel’s arse can we crawl? ” gig – are worthless political scum; their disgusting silence and – by implication – complicity in the Genocide of Palestinians; unqualified support for the Proxy War in Ukraine and courting of outright war with NUCLEAR ARMED Russia, and domestically, their total silence about and refusal to even refer to let alone take action against the rampant, insatiable greed of Energy Corps as they vampirically gorge on people’s basic need sufficient gas/electricity to cook and heat has automatically disqualified them from being judged fit to be public representatives. They barely make the cut to be judged as humans of any value whatsoever. Of course the same can be said of 99.9% of the entire Political Caste.
Meanwhile over in The Home of the Depraved & Land of the ( Political ) Flea the last – at least one of the last – Senators calling for the release of ALL the Epstein Files and for action to be taken against the disgusting violators named therein has been ousted; principally by obscene amounts of filthy Zionist/Adelson $$$$$, and ( astonishingly, given the degenerate/decrepit/discredited state of him ) Trump’s unrelenting attacks on Massie + support for his opponent.
Can anyone now use the word ” Democracy ” with a straight face?
“Can anyone now use the word ” Democracy ” with a straight face?”
You only have to read Mark Twain to know that that should have been impossible, even in his day, let alone since.
” He says he won’t allow Corbyn back into the Labour party.”
Why would Corbyn want to be back in the Labour Party?
Good question ! But, I’d suggest that is exactly what Corbyn wants. His sabotage of Your Party was instructive.
Guardian (Ben Quinn): Farage has disappeared amid lotsa questions about his personal finances, and the role of the Reform party’s treasurer has been terminated.
Spectator (James Heale): Farage is about to make a big speech in an effort to win over trade union members and what Heale calls “the left”, by which he seems to mean the Labour-adjacent employed white working class. (In North London media circles, this probably has something to do with going down the pub, driving a white van, and occasionally giving custom to Greggs. Doubtless those who run Reform have a somewhat deeper understanding.)

I would have posted a non-paywalled archive.is link to the Spectator piece, but the company that operates that site asked me to scan a QR code (i.e. check in using a microwave tracker) to prove I’m human. Frankly I would rather not prove myself human if that’s what it requires nowadays. Paul Marshall knows where he can shove the later paragraphs of this article.
Over the past few weeks there’s been a big ratcheting up of this kind of surveillance, including by Ebay.
That there has been a China-USA summit followed rapidly by a China-Russia summit suggests something very filthy indeed may be afoot.
In the USA the Trump family seems to be looting government coffers super-fast while there’s still some money in them.
China just illustrating where the power now resides. Trump sent home with nothing, Russia signing multiple agreements and contracts. America’s decline confirmed, Nero returns home to fiddle …
Because of Trump’s insane, unprovoked Iran war, pushing up energy prices, the UK govt has announced it is easing sanctions on Russian crude processed in third countries (typically India), basically, to to prevent jet fuel prices soaring, upping transport costs and ruining people’s holidays.
They are also allowing Russian LNG, with Qatar – the world’s largest producer of LNG – obviously still offline with Hormuz traffic stalled. Doesn’t this move make a mockery of UK support for Ukraine’s drone attacks on Russia’s refineries? Ukraine’s entire continued war effort is effectively funded by Europe, with the UK, among other European states, providing sophisticated, cutting-edge technology: ever evolving EMI shielded drone hardware; target acquisition and access to military high-precision guidance systems that Ukraine otherwise couldn’t dream of having. How can they reconcile lifting sanctions with authorising continued Ukrainian attacks on energy? Seems like contradictory bonkers policy, begging the question: do departments in govt even communicate with each other?
Is this Starmer’s joined-up government in action?
Everything Starmer does now is about keeping him in No.10.
Pears Morgaine.
Everything he has done as PM, and will do – is all about protecting and serving Israel.
@Goose, Trump’s war on Iran may have the sanity dialled way down, but surely it was provoked — by Israel.
RoS
Russia is a major backer and supplier of weapons to Israel’s enemies. I can’t see that anything that helps their economy is to Israel’s advantage.
“How can they reconcile lifting sanctions with authorising continued Ukrainian attacks on energy?”
Easy, the motto of government is “Videre quam esse”, “to seem rather than to be”. Lifting sanctions is saying to the little people, “look we care about you, we are lifting sanctions so that you don’t have to pay quite so much for energy (sotto voce , well at least not so much that you will be tempted to get the pitchforks out, anyway)”. Continuing the support for Ukraine to attack Russia’s energy infrastructure is saying to the big people, “Don’t worry, we are not going soft on the things that really matter in this world”.
“Russia is a major backer and supplier of weapons to Israel’s enemies. ”
Well, yes, if you restrict your arms sales to Israel’s friends, you have a pretty tiny market, the majority of which are major arms manufacturers themselves and therefore your competitors.

More on this guy who thinks he’s something else – Holyrood is now a cesspit of of self-serving careerists, who have their own agendas – hopefully this will be Scotland’s last colonial admin.
“All of this follows the chaos unleashed by the election of “non-binary” Green MSP “Q” Manivannan, who will under the law as it stands become an illegal immigrant long before the completion of his term in office.
“Q” Manivannan, whose real name is Srivatsan, takes his nom-de-plume from his social media identity “q_ueering”. Almost immediately after he was elected and a number of offensive and racist posts from his Twitter account surfaced, he locked the account so that it was only visible to his 2,471 existing followers, and then methodically removed every single one of them so that nobody could read any of his tweets. (He now has just two, and nobody but him and them knows who they are.)
Readers might be forgiven for wondering what he wants to hide so badly.”
Manivannan joined the Greens primarily because of the party’s stance on Palestine, and wants Scottish taxpayers’ money to be spent not on improving anyone’s lives in Scotland but on paying “reparations” for the “historical and contemporary complicity of Scotland in the colonisation and occupation of Palestine”.”
https://wingsoverscotland.com/the-queer-parliament/
If scotland supports this it deserves to be independent ! 🙂
Stevie Boy
Its a colonial admin, full of self serving careerists, but they don’t want to decolonise Scotland, for they also answer to the foreign government in England four of the major parties at Holyrood Reform, Labour, Tories and the Lib/Dems are not Scottish parties – they are branch offices of their London HQ’s – the other two major parties the Greens and the SNP are only interested in their own agendas, and ridding Scotland of colonial rule is not on the any of their agendas the status quo suits them to a tee.
There has been an indy majority at Holyrood ( both parties claim to be independence minded) for the last decade – and even now (SNP 58) Greens (15) there’s an indy majority at Holyrood – but they will never deliver independence for both parties don’t want it.
About the group that Q Manivannan expressed support for… They are called Art Workers for Palestine Scotland. One of their main aims is to build a boycott of the Zionazi entity:
https://www.redpepper.org.uk/the-spark/shaking-up-the-sector-an-interview-with-art-workers-for-palestine-scotland/
Power to their elbows.
This is probably the reason why some who are out to get QM actually are out to get him.
I am no supporter of the trans cult, but QM obviously has a secure job and there is no way this guy should be deported.
He’s an immigrant given permission to come to Scotland by a foreign countries (England) Home office – no one in Scotland gave him permission to live here – when you are a colony, you have no control over many aspects of government such as immigration – there’s a million + English settlers now in Scotland.
You may back his stance on Palestine – that’s fair enough but he should be no where near – even this cesspit of a colonial admin.
I meant to add he perform poetry urging people to illegally move to Scotland.
Click on the Wings link to watch him recite it.
“Manivannan joined the Greens primarily because of the party’s stance on Palestine, and wants Scottish taxpayers’ money to be spent not on improving anyone’s lives in Scotland but on paying “reparations” for the “historical and contemporary complicity of Scotland in the colonisation and occupation of Palestine”.”
That does rather sound like he’s squared the circle of supporting Palestine without opposing Israel.
If fewer people played the opinion game of “imagine if you were the government”, more people might question the sexual segregation of prisons in the first place. Unfortunately such segregation is accepted both by those who think a male rapist who says he’s a woman should be allowed to reside in a women’s prison and by those who say he should be required to reside in a men’s prison.
Prisons are supposed to be about rehabilitation. The ruling elite in this country see nothing wrong in the raising of children, especially boys, in single-sex residential institutions, where they get “looked after” mostly by lifelong-institutionalised men who believe they are providing a quality service. (In any case it’s a service that mostly keeps the proles out, and few of them know the difference between keeping the proles out and valuing what’s high quality.) But they are a bunch of degenerate sickos. How does the sexual segregation of prisons assist with rehabilitation in any way at all? Most male prisoners are NOT in prison for attacking women.
Just to underline the point here if it’s not clear. Everyone knows that male graduates of single-sex residential institutions known as “boarding” “schools” often have problems relating to women and with achieving the level of understanding of “what a woman is” that an average male who hasn’t spent several years in such an institution possesses. So…the rehabilitative effect of prison segregation is what exactly?
Hope your transition goes well …
Mixed sex wards in NHS hospitals didn’t work, why would mixed sex prisons?
It won’t and doesn’t work, you just have to put trans man in your URL to see the amount of sexual assaults on women in women’s prisons – by so called trans men.
The likes of the lying rat Swinney – and many so called MSPs – have nothing but contempt for real women.
Er, because in prison you are locked up and in hospitals you are not?
@Pears – “why would mixed sex prisons (work)?”
Make them work if you want to rehabilitate people.
Mixed sex hospital wards are about people sleeping in the same room as strangers of the opposite sex, which is not a requirement if prisons are to become mixed sex (as some already are in Spain). I am just saying if prisoners are to be rehabilitated then this means acclimatising them to outside life, one of the features of which is that it’s not sex-segregated (apart from e.g. in toilets, but a toilet is not a good analogy for a prison). What are the social benefits of sex-segregated prisons? I’d be okay with single-sex spaces within them if people want to spend some time with members of their own sex only.
One issue with your argument is that many women in prison have a history of having been raped, abused or otherwise traumatised by men, starting from when they were young, and this treatment led or pushed them down their particular paths of crime or other activities that led to imprisonment. Rehabilitation for these women would have to take place in a setting where they can learn to trust other people and undertake some form of therapy, and that may mean having to live for some time in a women-only prison environment.
“One issue with your argument is that many women in prison have a history of having been raped, abused or otherwise traumatised by men, ”
Ah, yes, the “this impacts a small group of people negatively, so let’s not do it to anyone” argument, memorably deployed as a reason for nobody wearing a mask during the COVID scare. The answer is to treat these people differently, duh.
The “women in prison (who) have a history of having been raped, abused or otherwise traumatised by men, ” are eventually going to have to come back into the wide world where they are going to have to deal with being with men again, there not being an awful lot of nunneries left after Henry VIII’s reign. There’s ample evidence in these very blog comments of how ignorance of something can lead someone to believe all sorts of weird and wonderful things about it. Would it not be better if, during their time in prison, these women could learn that not all men are going to rape, abuse or otherwise traumatise them?
“… Would it not be better if, during their time in prison, these women could learn that not all men are going to rape, abuse or otherwise traumatise them?:
If the trauma is severe enough, trying to teach such women that not all men are violent or abusive can only go so far. The victims may accept the truth on a conscious level but not necessarily subconsciously. The lesson may take a whole lifetime to learn. Until then, expecting such traumatised women to be able to live as others can and do, mixing with both men and women, and trusting that not all men will abuse them, seems rather patronising.
There is also the issue of how to teach traumatised women and girls to trust men, in conditions and an environment where they may not often meet men who treat them with respect – how do you propose to organise meetings where they can meet trustworthy men in a prison environment?
And why not treat such traumatised individuals differently, and allow them to live their lives the way they see fit, if this helps them to cope with their condition? If they wish to minimise their contacts with men to just the most essential meetings (as in meeting medical professionals or lawyers, and qualified women professionals at the level required are not available), they should be allowed to do that within reason. They can and should live in their own communities with other women if that is what they want and if that helps them heal.
“Prisons are supposed to be about rehabilitation.” In theory only, in practice they have always, alway been about punishment.
“… How does the sexual segregation of prisons assist with rehabilitation in any way at all? Most male prisoners are NOT in prison for attacking women.”
How would you avoid relationships forming between male and female prisoners, and possibly women prisoners falling pregnant and having babies in prison, and how would such relationships affect a prisoner’s rehabilitation? They may improve a prisoner’s conduct – or worsen it. How should prison administrators deal with such situations?
Bear in mind also that if prisons are funded by public money, the tax-paying public may take a dim view of supporting mixed prisons where prisoners may be in a situation to form romantic relationships, or form relationships where they can bully or exploit people of the opposite sex to theirs.
The colonial cesspit that is Holyrood – has now removed the sex category from its website, after two “trans” people were voted in as MSPs – for years the website showed how many male and female MSPs were at Holyrood.
I doubt very much that they did it for the right reason.
The below is from Sara Salyers X account – the English authorities and its security services are desperate to stop Scottish decolonisation – add in the Colonial admin (SNP) – and some Durham uni professor Aileen McHarg penning a one page article to the UN – to say that Scotland isn’t a colony, and you soon realise that Westminster is petrified at the thought of losing control over the Scottish colony.

For Women Scotland are one of the few organizations that actually fight women’s corner. Most men on here don’t give a flying whatsit about the rights of their mothers, sisters, wives, daughters, grand-daughters. That is plain to see. ‘Trans’ rights and women’s and girls’ rights are in direct opposition. Before the word, ‘trans’ was used, these men were transvestites – sexually motivated. AGPs are similarly sexually motivated, as are fetishists. This has long been established. Many, many writings and studies done on these sexual deviations.
There are three types of ‘trans’ – men, women and children. All three are very different from each other. Only one group is wholly sexually-motivated and that is the male group. All men knew about these men once and warned women away from them. The women (the vast majority) and children are genuine victims of social contagion and they are the human shields for these men. Anyone who doesn’t know whether he is male or female or who is male one day and female the next is a con artist. All these men know that they are not women. Some will be gay, effeminate men, but most are heterosexual and never have any surgery. Being ‘trans’ is an immediate door-opener in many areas, as we see from this young man’s ascendancy. Being an immigrant, a man of colour and a ‘trans’ ticks all the boxes for the malign, scamming, parasitical Greens. They knew exactly what they were doing when they put him top of their List. They are truly evil in the biblical sense of that word.
The fact that that idiotic parliament voted for this tripe does not make it right. Few other countries would ever contemplate such a moronic, cretinous approach to their domestic politics. You should be glad that you were not elected into that bunch of absolute boneheads. You are far, far too bright, if, sometimes, rather naive. You are a good man, but you really should check out people before you wholeheartedly approve them. So often, they will not be what you believe them to be. For Women Scotland discovered that a very long time ago.
Agreed
Famine in Gaza,
Genocide in Gaza. Hear
the globe turns, listen.
Corbyn has written to Andy Burnham to ask whether he would establish an independent public inquiry into the British government’s complicity in genocide.
https://www.thenational.scot/news/26128812.jeremy-corbyn-urges-andy-burnham-back-gaza-genocide-inquiry
Mr Nice Guy put on the spot.
“performative activism”
Maybe Burnham should ask Corbyn, ‘whether he would establish an independent political party to counteract and prosecute the British government’s complicity in genocide ?’
IMO.
Zoot.
Andy Burnham is very pro-trans he has no truck with allowing trans men into women’s safe spaces – besides to become PM you need to be all but an obedient puppet, that’s why the huge character assassinate campaign was launched against Corbyn – to prevent him from becoming PM.
Thanks Zoot.
I was not aware of that.
I don’t see a problem with pronouns as long as people give me the choice to use them.
My choice, in turn, depends on whether I want to be polite and kind to that particular person. Regardless of gender, that’s just how social communication works.
It’s very simple and actually naturally occurs as a result of the emotions we experience:
If someone communicates politely and kindly, then the response is also polite and kind;
But if someone is an asshole and thinks they should receive respect and politeness by default, then this will likely make people want to show them the depth of their delusion.
Just as it takes two to tango, here you need two parties willing to play this game. The problem begins when tango becomes mandatory for everyone. People generally don’t like coercion.
The trick here is that in normal, everyday communication, we need to determine the gender of our interlocutor before opening our mouths, because our natural languages have different words for male and female beings. Furthermore, using words in the linguistically feminine gender is often offensive when addressed to men.
Therefore, if it’s impossible to quickly determine the gender of the interlocutor, it creates difficulty and tension.
Not the best way to begin a conversation. Awkwardness and tension.
If such an awkward beginning is followed by a demand to use only certain words, I predict that at least half of such communications will end in conflict (this applies to tolerant communities, like the one in which Mr. Murray describes his desire to be polite and kind. In soscieties where people don’t feel obligated to be kind, but believe it’s honest and correct to directly express what they’re feeling, approximately 100% of such communications will end in conflict, imo).

Tatyana, the realities of Kin Dza Dza are becoming everyday more apparent – Kú or Kyú ?
Is it not different in Russian, as words have genders and names have masculine and feminine spellings, also do you not have the familiar form of “you”, which can also be rude, like in French and German, all of which vanished in English some centuries ago?
Today’s “news” in Britain seems to be that the government loves proletarian children who travel on
peasant wagonsbuses, especially when they’re being taken by parents who are intending to spend lots of money at attractions. (What else are proletarian parents for, eh?) The government will even “give” them 5% off or whatever. Oh and immigration has fallen to a very low level. Let’s all smile and be happy. Probably next they’ll say there have been significant improvements in the state health service too.The authorities love getting people to listen to them by mentioning that it’s winter, and here’s some film of some snow, or there’s a national holiday called a “bank” holiday, and here’s some news about airports, because of course everyone can afford to go abroad to enjoy themselves. “We” are such a happy country. “Hey ho, hey ho, it’s off to Torremolinos we go”. “We” eat in restaurants a lot too, and “we” love our government for helping us. Right now they’re saying summer is coming, and here are some pictures of some happy white children.
There’s absolutely no way they can keep this “You’ve never had it so good” garbage up until 2029. You can almost feel them pulling their steel toecapped boots on for later in the year.
Even that reference to Harold Macmillan’s slogan of 1957 is too mild. It’s redolent more of happy-family footage shown under strongman regimes in South America.
“Bread and circuses”.
“There’s absolutely no way they can keep this “You’ve never had it so good” garbage up until 2029.”
They’ll be hard pressed to keep it up until the end of the year: https://sovereignista.com/2026/05/18/michael-hudson-the-2026-world-financial-crisis/
Kirsten Oswald has been named as the SNP’s Minister for Victims – Oswald famously, or more like infamously, stood in front of a sign at a trans march that read “Decapitate Terfs” – terf is a derogatory term for a real woman.
Also Jamie Hepburn who manhandled – and swore at the the Tory leader Douglas Ross – has been brought back into the fold.
It looks like anything goes at the colonial cesspit known as Holyrood.
TERF is an acronym for trans-exclusionary radical feminist. Exclusionary as opposed to trans-inclusive.
Why does this issue generate so much heat in Scotland and not in England, Wales or Northern Ireland? For a long time, certainly during Sturgeon’s time as leader, many here, expressed the belief the SNP were being manipulated into the controversial dead-end of culture wars, by Brit-Nat officialdom. The aim being, to divide nationalists among themselves; weakening them in their primary objective of attaining independence. Such an explanation seemed highly plausible.
It has helped the largest nationalist party (main aim: not independence but trousering money) look ridiculous. This can be filed under just desserts given that the whole political class knows that Nicola Sturgeon is a lesbian who was in a completely fake marriage with Peter Murrell who is gay.
Its all part of the plan Goose – the SNP colonial admin can push its own agendas – no matter how disliked they are by the majority of the Scottish public, and they are – as long as they don’t liberate the Scottish colony from Westminster’s grip.
Apparently just over half the population turned out to vote (53%) in the recent elections, people are scunnered – and want change.
It’ll be another five years of crazy gender policies – from the SNP and the Greens who often help the SNP get policies over the line in the chamber.
Yes, and an example of Sturgeon’s reverse engineering of history/reality, ie how, ( when she had a book to flog ) she has tried to make out she has always been open and unequivocal about her ” non-binary ” ( ie – in her case – lesbian, but ” non-binary ” is a more ambiguous term ( y’know, for her parents benefit ) ) status, when she never said a word about this previous to her book-launch.
OK, not everyone wants or needs to make public declarations about their sexual preferences, but to listen to her now you’d think she had been * out * all her life. And what was that ” mariage blanc ” all about if not an attempt to present a ” normal ” front and disguise the actual orientation of both parties? Notable how swiftly and callously ” the husband ” was dispatched under a bus – or was it a tram ? by ” the wife ” when the former’s legal ” difficulties ” threatened to damage the latter’s future career prospects/reputation ( HA! like trying to politically assassinate her former mentor didn’t so do? )
Not the bus or tram, but the $100k campervan, or was it the 90k top of the range Jaguar, I forget – but yes Robert I agree she played along with the deception – probably to win votes for her and the SNP – though the signs were there if you looked hard enough.
I’m not condemning anyone’s sexuality – just the deception from Sturgeon.
Goose
Yes that correct, but its also used as a slur against REAL women – I can recall when woke meant when you had a inkling of what governments were up to – now it means something else.
“I can recall when woke meant when you had a inkling of what governments were up to”
Yes, funny how the meaning of words keeps shifting for the benefit of the powerfull.
Yes in old movies, and society as a whole, gay meant happy and carefree, it means something else now.
“Kirsten Oswald has been named as the SNP’s Minister for Victims”
I look forward to her standing up for Palestinians, then.
Nah, that’s antisemitic, there are only one group of victims …
There used to be many: http://web.archive.org/web/20120118231812/http://dicklist.blogspot.com/2006/07/tdl-gaming-world-series-of-victimhood.html
Bayard 13.33 May 22.
There’s more chance of her doing that, than standing up for Scots or REAL women in Scotland.
The Westminster child – Holyrood, is a cesspit of corruption and treason and it needs to be cleared out – its more than likely bugged to high heaven – I’d burn it ( as Wallace said in the movie) and use another building – such as the Old Royal High School, which would fit in nice with Scotland’s ancient heritage.
The Green candidate in Makerfield has stood down, supposedly because he indicated support on social toiletedia for the idea that the attack on the Jewish ambulances was a so-called false flag. [*] This is going to be one heck of a by-election. Nominations haven’t closed yet, so the Greens can put up another candidate if they still want to
help Reformrun one.See also comment on the shouting at Rachel Reeves incident here.
Note
*) “False flag” is the wrong term because no credible explanation for the action was given by anyone who seems likely to have carried it out, or in other words no “flag” was waved. Cf. the difference between black propaganda when you pretend to be the enemy, and grey propaganda when you act anonymously. The internet is a magnet for people who want to sound like “people of the world” while knowing very little about the topic, they’re opining about, the topic here being psychological warfare.
I wonder if Rachel Reeves considers the Home Secretary behaved in a ‘not very British’ way when she told someone to fuck right off?
The English state is callous, it has niether morals nor ethics, it only knows dominion. The election of Dr Manivannan (they seem innocent) appears calculated. In the heart’s of people thier is democracy, yet the English state has no heart.
Hearts of Oak – ie. wooden !
Except it wasn’t the ” English state ” that elected this guy ( don’t fckn start! ), but the ( notional ) ” Scottish State ” – though, in fact ” no-one ” elected HIM, he was/is another beneficiary of the intended-to-prevent-an-snP-outright-majority electoral system – the * modified * D’Hondt bollocks ( Q.E.D – other than on one unlikely ever to be repeated occasion ).
Hearing more about what this guy has said ( and subsequently erased from his online record ) my tolerance/sympathy has diminished considerably. I still don’t think he should be deported – that’s a question for the relevant authorities: or subjected to abuse, of any description.
But the colossal arrogance of moving to another country ” for study purposes ” – and then * magically * entering that country’s structure of governance, with the express desire/intention of imposing views, policies and agendas the overwhelming majority of that country are vehemently opposed to. Also exhorting and supportive of the illegal entry to the UK/Scotland of large numbers ( I wonder if in Manivannan’s grand vision only members of the new Queer Elite Special Human Caste would be welcome? I’m guessing, probably ) of people – for no other reason than to defy existing laws and manifest some kind of fantasy rebellion against ” oppressive ” Anti-we-can-do-WTF-we-like mentalities.
Here’s a thought, why doesn’t Mr Manivannan fight for these things he seems to care so much about, in his own country, are * queer * people there not in as much need – or more – of his exemplary warrior ( twin ) spirit and ” red ass “? Could it be that he knows he could never get anywhere near his own country’s structure of governance or enjoy the generous salary/perks there than he can/will in the U.K?
Scots can blame ” England ” for quite a few things – this electoral aberration isn’t one of them. This is a homemade, hand-crafted, artisan fuck-up all of ” our own ” making
Party lists are all about corrupt vested interests in every country where they exist.
Maybe stop going on so much about the ethnicity next door, hun? You’re already literally taking imaginary things as non-imaginary – “the English state”.
Suggest a focus on Xinjiang for a while, before it’s too late.
My point – which I think was pretty fckn obvious – was in response the that person’s comment about the ” callous English State “, hun
@Robert – Yes I know. I was replying to @alan !
My reply to you was the previous one, indented accordingly, about party lists.
um….after I’d posted that it occurred to me you may have been replying to Alan. Sorry, B; to hasty in response there
Who was it that imposed the bastardised version of D’Hondt on Scotland?
Answers on a postcard please. (Clue; it was English unionist parties).
Aye, but who was it that passively accepted and have never – that I know of – made any attempt or even suggestion to change it? The snP have been in power since 2007 and have never voiced the slightest objection; now they’ll be there for another 5 years ( groan! ) and we both know they’ll not say a word against it. Like all Political Parties, if they are the beneficiaries of any given system ………..tumbleweed: only when the system works against them will they protest; though I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone from any PP in Scotland propose getting shot of the ridiculous D’Hondt pish we were – cynically – landed with.
Robert; aye, yer right enough there anaw.
Like all Political Parties, if they are the beneficiaries of any given system ………..tumbleweed: only when the system works against them will they protest
But the system *does* work against them, at least compared to FPTP, given that they have 80% of constituency seats. Yet, curiously, as you note, they’ve made no attempt to change it. Clearly the SNP’s problem is that they are too scrupulous and decent for their own good
Queer Manni, a proven liar. He’ll fit right in with our current political class.
‘A newly elected Scottish Green MSP who claimed they had “grown up starving” in India was privately educated with a privileged upbringing, it has been revealed. … Despite the Scottish Greens’ opposition to private education, the MSP attended both a private secondary school and private university in India.’
https://www.gbnews.com/politics/q-manivannan-green-msp-india-privately-educated-privileged-upbringing
Ah, but Stevie, facts are non-binary; truth is transphobic; anything white is, ipso facto racist – yes, even swans! ( note how marginalised black swans are ) in fact, reality itself is oppressive ( aye, isn’t it fckn just, with idiocy being piled upon idiocy exponentially ) and should be overthrown – we’re well along THAT road as things stand.
Quantum facts: they can exist in many states and will change if you observe them.
lol 🙂
Aye!! Superpositions of the Gender Field
Acc. to Wiki, his birthdate is: 1996 or 1997 [29-30].
It seems to imply Mannivannan has no birth certificate. How do you get a visa and attend foreign universities, and get a degree, without a birth certificate?
Perhaps age is also ‘fluid’ these days.
Obviously birth certificates are just an oppressive colonial artifact, as thousands of ‘boat children’ will testify. Next you’ll be suggesting our friends study and take exams to get a degree, how dare you !
Ewan2.
The likes of (UoG) University of Glasgow is a Britnat safe house especially within the John Smith Centre – there are very few Scottish professors working in Scottish Uni’s – most professors in Scotland’s uni’s have been parachuted in from England and abroad, many are gatekeepers – this gatekeeping happens across many fields in Scotland, ten of the top police officers in Scotland are from NI or England.
Interesting about both the professors and the police. But many senior indigenous figures in Scotland are raving British nationalists too, albeit some of them would have felt equally at home bashing drums and playing pipes in Belfast. (Clear why the police service attracts such types.)
There have also been academics at Glasgow University from outside Scotland who don’t have anything positive to say about the powerful loyalist Protestant clique there.
Indeed Brian – the divide and rule via religion is rife in Scotland it runs very deep colonial politicians and councillors especially in Glasgow – which allows vile religious marches to take place every year which are overseen by the colonial police force – (Police Scotland) – who look like they are all but marching alongside them.
Now if I say organised a march on say the victory of the Battle of Tours (732AD) – and marched folk up and down the street -I’d be arrested and frogmarched into a police van, and straight to court for inciting religious violence – yet over 80 O/O Orange Order marches, are allowed to march every years up and down Scotland with bands coming from NI as well – to blast out vile tunes.
No council or colonial admin would ever dream of banning them – oh they might make noises about doing it but that’s all it is noise.
This thread shows how much interest in sexual politics exists in Bonnie Scotland.
Dr.Manivannan will easily fit in with the crooked, spineless cocks, cops and robbers that are usurping the Scottish Colonial administration and justice at present.
Those who commited false narratives in the AS trial and lied to the so called public inquiery, for which our kind host had to serve the hardest sentence ever given to any journalist for contempt of court, should and must be expelled in a really independent Scotland.
It ought to be possible to collect the wasted publc monies from all the judges and individuals who co created this false narrative and misused justice to shut up and heap malice on Craig.
Wishing you all another great day, we will have 30+C today here in Norfolk and its HOT already.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but personally, I have zero interest in ” sexual politics ” – on the contrary, I’m fckn sick of the entire subject and how much political oxygen it has and continues to squander. As a facet of the general obsession with * Identities *, it is simply a manifestation of the narcissistic fascination with the ” self ” that has been allowed ( promoted ) to infiltrate/undermine every aspect of Society/Culture – at the expense of any meaningful analysis/perception, eg Class, Entrenched Interests, the machinations of the Tech Bro Ubermensch, the relentless degradation of even vestigial ” Democracy “, ie the withering degree of autonomy/agency of the ” ordinary ” person.
Who wants War? who is continuously creating/funding bloody, death-dealing, savagery? who is inflicting awful damage on our home – Earth? Who thinks they are superior beings with the unassailable right to control/influence the rest of Humanity?
It’s not that ” ordinary ” person, is it? We know, pretty much who the culprits are – albeit there are almost certainly Wizards of Manipulation, Imps of the Perverse behind the scenes, who prefer the shadow to the spotlight – and yet seem impotent to prevent them wreaking hell on the vast majority of the Human Race and it’s environment
But let’s all cheer a ” transexual ” MSP being ” elected ” to Holyrood …. HURRAH! HURRAH! HURRAH!! FFS
Whilst idiot Politicians are poncing around flaunting their * Progressive ” credentials, deeply sinister crypto-fascist entities of the Corpo/State nexus like Palantir are quietly, methodically tightening the Surveillance/ Personal Date/AI WMDs noose around all of our necks
” personal Data…..”
Palantir’s AI models are driven by data scraped from social media, Military data (GCHQ, Police, CCTV ?) and now NHS data for everyone in the UK. These models identify and assess potential ‘targets’ for state organisations.
And, if anyone tells you medical data is Anonymised then they are talking BS at best. The NHS has created a special ‘administrative role’ for Palantir staff that gives them 100%, full access to ALL data.
Big Brother ?
Peter Murrell has pleaded guilty to thieving, or “embezzlement” as they’re calling it.
Not much chance his former fake wife Nicola Sturgeon will play Mary Magdalene though.
He should be charged with ‘having an offensive wife’.
The scapegoat Murrell has already cut a deal with the prosecutor (COPFS) which is corrupt as they come, I’d say he’ll get 3 years and do 18 months, its taken five years to bring this scapegoat to trial and that’s what he is a scapegoat – many others including his pretendy wife knew what he was up to – but the corrupt (COPFS) and the LA who is a close pal of Sturgeon, along with a nod for Whitehall, made sure that the prolific traitor Sturgeon got off with everything – because she did he job of leaving Scotland in turmoil.
The people’s 600k is lost forever.
You’re hilarious!
Peter
Which part is – as you say, hilarious?
Sturgeon has somehow got away with ‘I had no idea my husband was stealing half a mill from the party I was leader of’.
She obviously did quite a job on the Scottish legal system even if she did nothing for independence.
Seem to recall the SNP assuring us that Independence would end corruption which all sprang from Westminster.
Murrell’s offending started within a month of him marrying Sturgeon. Her claim she didn’t know is not credible, where did she think all the cars and coffee machines were coming from?
@Robert – “Whilst idiot Politicians are poncing around flaunting their * Progressive ” credentials, deeply sinister crypto-fascist entities of the Corpo/State nexus like Palantir are quietly, methodically tightening the Surveillance/ Personal Date/AI WMDs noose around all of our necks”
Take a look at the Democratic Republic of Congo
* where child slaves as young as six years old are being forced to mine cobalt for Elon Musk’s c***mobile electric cars (suggestions welcome for how to treat those who buy these vehicles)
https://www.freedomunited.org/advocate/tesla-forced-child-labor/
* which is featuring in British media stories about how scary savage residents are contesting Ebola-themed actions by Big Pharma, the medical fraternity, and the state (“health workers face attacks” in Guardian-speak):
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/may/24/suspected-ebola-cases-congo-health-workers-attacks
A far cry from how some Tesco workers snapped instantaneously into their new role as order-givers back in 2020 in civilised unscary Britain and most people (especially outside London) did as they were told without question, huh?
Scientists in Blighty are preparing a “new Ebola vaccine”
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy82gkr7xzlo
Don’t expect a critical response from the Green party…
Apparently, one can trace the outbreaks of diseases (eg. Ebola) in Africa directly to experimental vaccinations foisted on the citizens by big Pharma, specifically the Gates foundation and the WHO.
Africa is now the destination of choice for US biolabs, now that their existance in eastern europe has been exposed.
Of course, Covid, Long Covid, turbo cancers and heart attacks are nothing to do with big Pharma experimental vaccinations.
Stevie Boy.
It will be the M23 terrorists that have helped release Ebola in the DRC – M23 are backed by the UAE and Rwanda, who inturn get the nod from America and Britain. Gates is a huge donator to the WHO, Gates has no medical qualifications – both says a lot to me.
The UAE and Rwanda in the DRC? Interesting… Makes me wonder whether slavery (and things that can be done to slaves other than making them work) had a role in Britain’s “Rwanda plan”. Perhaps the deportation to Rwanda of illegal immigrants would have slotted into existing slave economy infrastructure in that country. And, who knows, perhaps it’s actually happening anyway having been removed as a political issue and something requiring an official policy, charity reports, and discussion in editorial columns. (The private sector, the public sector, the third sector, and the fourth estate aren’t four separate things. They can all NOT talk about something, just as they can all talk about something.) There are a lot of slaves in Britain already and there might well be a surplus. The population of illegal immigrants provides a large pool too.
Gotta look at this not only through the lens of racism and anti-racism, or other political considerations, but in the way that the rulers who are obsessed with maximising profit will look at it.
Most of the left are such ninnies that they are unaware that there are those in this world whose main thought when they hear of large-scale population displacement isn’t “oh dear, how sad”.
I see Margaret Hodge has an interest in Rwanda.
Those who think “nah, that could never happen” might start by educating themselves about the large number of “illegal” children’s homes in Britain that have financial relationships with local authorities despite being “illegal”. WTF is that about? WTF would a liberal leftie think it might be about if it was happening in Russia, China, or even Switzerland?
Who would want to be the first “journalist” to have a close look at this, or even to put their toe in the water as regards, oh, say a global airline that advertises at Arsenal football club, or to ask many other pertinent questions that might be asked…
Brian much of Europe, the USA, and the Middle East sponsor terrorist organisations in Africa, that why the likes of Sudan once Africa’s largest nation was broken up into two-Nations – South Sudan, why Libya is a failed war torn state and why Syria is led by a terrorist – who the West and the UN laud – its a long topic and I could write multiple comments on it, but this thread isn’t the right place to do so.
@Stevie – “Africa is now the destination of choice for US biolabs, now that their existance in eastern europe has been exposed.”
Lots of strands here.
1) What about US-Chinese collaboration?
2) Is RFK Jr going after anyone? Surely there are targets who unlike Anthony Fauci weren’t pre-emptively presidentially pardoned.
3) Given that Musk is already exploiting slaves in Congo for his Tesla cars, gotta put black Africa on the list as a useful place (this is speculation) for his human microchip-implantation work (“brain computer interfacing” in Silicon Valley talk).
4) Most of importantly of all: in Congo there is resistance!
Although Musk’s implantation arm, Neuralink, also cooperates with UCL Hospitals in London:
https://neuralink.com/updates/gb-prime-study-launch/
There is no way that the epoch of mass voluntary carrying around of smartphones that can be dropped and smartwatches that can be unstrapped is anything other than transitional, similar to e.g. CDs.
@ Stevie Boy May 25, 2026 at 13:20:
My understanding from eg WHO is that bats are the main reservoir, and that contact with ‘bush meat’ or fluids from infected people (including burials) are the vectors.
WHO, Bats, meat. Hmm, where have we heard that before ?
No need to worry though, Moderna has been developing a geneVax for that for the last two years !
