Straw in the Stink 1095

The Mail on Sunday is doing a very good job on the odious Jack Straw’s involvement in torture and persecution. I think that at last the truth has entered the established narrative. There is a little box in the report about my own evidence to Scotland Yard. I will type it out here as the Mail’s box format here is not internet searchable:

“Torture” Evidence Handed to the Yard

Further pressure was piled on Jack Straw last night over the “rendition” of Libyan dissident Abdel Hakim Belhadj after sensitive documents were handed to Scotland tard detectives.

Craig Murray, former British Ambassador to Uzbekistan, passed the documents to police as part of the inquiry into the behaviour of Ministers and intelligence officials over the detention of Mr Belhadj in Bangkok in March 2004.

The opponent of Colonel Gadaffi was flown to Tripoli, where he claims he was tortured.

Mr Straw, who was Foreign Secretary at the time, has denied ever condoning the use of torture to extract information.

But the documents appear to cast doubt on that position.

One memo, headed “Uzbekistan: Intelligence Possibly Obtained Under Torture” contains minutes of a meeting Mr Murray held with senior Foreign and Commonwealth officials on March 8, 2003 to discuss his concern that the UK could be in breach of international law by possessing intelligence obtained by torture.

The minute, dated March 10 2003, quoted Linda Duffield, then the FCO’s Director of Wider Europe, apparently justifying the use of such material as part of the fight against terrorism.

A second memo, dated March 14 2003, and written by Simon McDonald – the Straw’s principal Private Secretary – to Ms Duffield says Straw has read the minutes and “agrees that you handled this very well”.

Mr Murray is understood to have told police that during Mr Straw’s time at the FCO diplomats were told to only refer to the policy on torture verbally.

Mr Murray said last night “My evidence stated that Jack Straw introduced a policy of allowing evidence obtained by torture to be used. I also told them that written evidence had been destrpyed, and we were told to not commit details into writing.”

There is a slight misquote in the above. It should say Jack Straw introduced a policy of allowing intelligence obtained by torture, not evidence. In fact it was specifically stated such intelligence would not be produced as evidence in court (people were imprisoned without charge or rendered instead). The instruction not to put things in writing was given to me personally, I don’t know if others were told the same. As I was the only one protesting, perhaps not.

These links are to the documents in question.

The first two were obtained by Freedom of Information Act request. Details of the CIA’s colllusion with the Karimiv regime’s torturers have been redacted by the FCO. Last week Jack Straw came out and argued strongly for the effective abolition of the Freedom of Information Act. Now there is a coincidence for you.

Hammond will be heading for the NATO meeting which is to follow the G8 nonsense (think I’d rather the heads of our rapidly collapsing economies did not discuss tactics in the gym, but that’s probably just me). And dissent there will be subject to the normal adherence to the right of free speech and assembly…

Mary: I have just been informed that ‘jubilee’ is a Hebrew word.

    .
Uh-oh! Does this suggest a plot?
    .
Mark Golding: I called 2011 the ‘year of redemption and atonement, yet we have witnessed NO restitution, NO reparation for war, torture, misery, murder or suffering caused by an anathema.
    .
This year 2012 I propose is the year of enlightenment.
    .

    .
I don’t think anyone will pay the slightest attention to your year designations, I’m afraid.

Angry Uh-oh! Does this suggest a plot?
What a silly remark. I was just stating a fact.

Thanks for that lava hot nugget Clark. Nothing on the wayback machine?
Did Wikileaks ever shine a light on the finance community?

But even without it, people can feel the purpose behind their actions, occupy is not finished, it is adapting and will re emerge stronger I feel.

Now the good news, temperatures are going up next week, sunshine, 27degrees C they say. great 🙂

Maybe once they have all the walls up and the barbed wire along with the missile shield and nuclear weapons, and the ethnic cleansing is complete, then things will improve.

Clark – thanks for the plutonomy story. A couple of things strike me immediately:
    .
    1. The reports might have been written in a less bestial travesty of English had the authors had access when young to the King James Bible. The functional illiteracy of the work adds to its lack of logical structure to produce a sense of nausea unrelated to its intrinsically sickening content.
    .
    2. As far as I can judge, reading between the sometimes tortuous evasions of #3, Citigroup are speaking nothing less than truth in assessing the market opportunities and risks as they then were (and largely still are) for its obscenely rich customers. The reports are simply one way of describing the dependence of their investments on equity (and hedge) products,as opposed to anything with tangible value. You might call that the wave model if you were a physicist. The particle model of the same phenomenon is the creation of money from thin air for direct transfer to privileged accounts.
    .
    3. I think we knew this already. But it is useful to have a formal – though abominably written – account of the state of affairs in the US, UK and Canada, and of the actual existence of the uber-class which forms the real power base in these countries. The Citigroup reports are not dismissable as a conspiracy theory. They describe an actual conspiracy.
    .
The challenge, as always, is to get this across to the drugged public.

    Angrysober,
    .
Uh-oh! Seems like the military have made a note of my year designations.
    .
According to a British submariner/Russian translator the Russian submarine Kursk was rammed. (A similar account was broadcast on the History Channel 10/8/2004).
    .
Interestingly on August 13, 2000, Bill Clinton made a call to Vladimir Putin. No information on what the two presidents discussed is available, but Director of Central Intelligence, Tenet visited Moscow incognito two days later. The story somehow made it to the media and as a popular newspaper wrote, it cost a senior official of the Foreign Intelligence Service his post. In the wake of the conversation with his Russian counterpart Clinton announced that he would not sign the bill on deployment of a national anti-ballistic missile defense system. Russia had been objecting to with such vigor all of that year.
    .
HMS Splendid a British nuclear powered submarine had spent many years tracking combatants of the Northern Fleet involved in exercises. She also fired cruise missiles into Iraq during the 2003 Iraq war.
    .
The intelligence mission, Operation ‘Holy Stone’ has been gathering data on Russian ICBM carrying subs for many years. I believe because of this and other intelligence, Russia made the decision some years ago now to launch multiple nuclear missiles (Topol-M) from land based mobile platforms.
    .
From this information (some secret) we now realise why Russia is prepared to use “destructive force pre-emptively” if the US goes ahead with controversial plans for a missile defence system based in Central Europe. US submarines skins are built to ram, Subs have battery systems to keep the nuclear reactor running in case of an electrical short-circuit which shuts the reactor down and the intelligence system has Gigabytes of acoustic data from passive listeners used in the ongoing ‘Holy Stone’ missions.

    Clark,
Best find a copy that has strategically redacted sentences, in another version of the same on the Internet, the redactions speak volumes.

  • Komodo

Keep a copy, Clark. Got mine from another site, will link if your link pulls the pdf’s.

So I was just sat there minding my own affair, having been banned from almost everywhere.
She came up and said to my wife – No, We want him, not you. Yer what?? We want 6 local men to do a TV advert for Aldi. £250 to be filmed, and if you are 2 out of the 6 we use, then you get another £500.
I said stick another 0 on and I’ll do it.

It was so nice to be asked.

Don’t worry. I’m up North and the Internet is worse than Ghana.

    Is Craig O.K.?##

    Send him my love,

I still read though I am banned.

    Komodo,
John Young is unlikely to bow to anyone, he is a hero of mine, and fact that he goes so far as inviting everyone to even suspect him, adds more to his charm, the man is a genius and a human being that ought to be emulated. Keep up with his site.

Another noble “Lord” – Feldman of Elstree –
    .
    http://www.parliament.uk/biographies/lords/andrew-feldman/87843.
    .
Similarly to Fink, closely involved with Tory finances, not poor (family schmutter firm), friend of Cameron (to whom he attached himself tightly at Oxford) and “an active member of Westminster Synagogue, of which he has been treasurer. Others (sic) prominent members of the congregation there include Howard Leigh, another Tory fundraiser, and Michael Green, the former Carlton boss for whom Cameron used to work.” (Conservative Intelligence)…usw…he has, like Fink, unpaid directorships with “C and UCO Properties/Management/Services Limited- that’s three limited companies.
    .
Conservative and Unionist C—-? O—–? I can’t find any further details, which is unusual for a limited company.

My daughter who knows about these things, first of all said, they were taking the piss. I said, no they weren’t it was legit. It was at Malton Food Festival this afternoon.
She then said I was crazy for turning them down.

I pointed out that my accent was Lancashire, not Yorkshire, and that I wasn’t planning to be in Yorkshire on 7th of June.
I was also perfectly sober. And anyway, would you really want to see your Dad on TV at half time in Coronation Street adverstising a German Low cost supermarket, that I have only ever been in once??
It didn’t seem right to me. Let a Yorkishire man sell it instead.

PS Its hilarious reading someone slagging me off on here more than 6 months after I last posted. I obviously made an impression.

Did they ever ask you to do a TV advert, purely on the way you look and the way you talk?

    Komodo, I don’t understand WB

    Tony

As I so rarely post on here, and the internet is so slow where I am, I will tell you about how I last got banned. I was banned by the Deputy editor of The Daily Telegraph. He wrote an article which was all about hatred – basically pleading with Cameron et al to hate the Labour Party..
It was last week. I didn’t at the time have a clue that he was the Deputy Editor of The Daily Telegrapgh – Dominic something very Catholic Irish name – though subsequently I find that he was brought up in Washington DC, and claims to be half French.

I just seriously took the piss saying stuff – with a name like that…

    And “You” are Preaching HATRED..

Again, no Fish on Friday, nor no Sex and Drugs and Rock & Roll – nor alcohol on Friday…

    I guess I got under his skin…

Yet I reckon, I was defending him, cos I reckon he was committing a Criminal Offence by promoting Political Hatred…and should have deleted his own article rather than deleting me.

But so what the hell – its his rag not mine…and my wife actually bought it, yesterday and today.

For the free magazine – coastal walks – already done some of them.

And I don’t like Cameron or the Labour Party, but promoting hatred doesn’t solve anything.

    Tony

Returning to Fink, Feldman and the mysterious C and UCO group of companies – another director of C and UCO Properties Ltd, (net worth,£ 12,536,898, since you ask) is one Christopher Moran. Another Tory benefactor, and due perhaps to Moran’s having been banned for life from Lloyds, Cameron keeps rather quiet about it.

Maybe CO stands for Central Office? I am getting a faint whiff of carrion off this one.

    Angrysober,
    .
The year 2011 of course I believe, a reckoning for year 2012, at least for some us, a kind of evaluation insight. If we believe in that insight then 2012 must be ‘enlightenment’ we just extrapolate that belief.
    .
In 2011 we got some environment payback:
    .
    – The devastating tornado outbreaks in the US Midwest
    – Record-breaking flooding and tropical cyclones in Australia
    – Record-breaking Mississippi floods…
    .
We did get some awareness, some open-mindedness, some wisdom:
    .
    – The Japanese tsunami and nuclear catastrophe
    – The Arab Spring, civil war in Libya, the Syrian civil war…
    – The European sovereign debt meltdown
    .
We have been shown I think the power of nature compared to our own fragile being. We have been shown the horrors of nuclear radiation that corrupts our cells, our life codes.
    .
We have been shown in an eye the unrest and upheaval that awaits us on the streets. We know people can have dominance, sway over those that harm us. Harm – We have been shown the crushing of civilisation in Libya and the stealth, corrupt, depraved, vile, wicked and wrong provocation, espionage and sabotage in Syria.
    .
We have been shown the hollowless, the worthlessness of currency and the money system. We won’t need money.
    .
To some of us, we have been shown a great deal. We can now evolve and leave 2011 dark. We can see the way ahead quite clearly. We know who our friends are more acutely, those we love, those we can take with us. We will need that collective help, that synergy, that symbiosis, because the path ahead is rocky, very rocky indeed.

The target of the Syrian alliance UK+US+ISRAEL+POLITICAL ISLAM against Assad is Iraqi oil from Kirkuk. The government of Iraq would collapse if this alliance of incorrigible devious liars placed the 20,00 US troops in charge of the oilfields on the pretext of an erupting civil war in Syria. Greed greed greed and ego flow in the veins of politicians instead of blood. To them this world is a fascinating gamble of lies, murder, high stakes and fame. Political Islam has as little to do with Islam as David Cameron or Obama to Christianity or Zionism to Judaism.
    .
The utterly detestable Ba’ath system, of Arab Nationalism, and its ruthless, murderous dictators such as Saddam and Assad’s father must come to an end. But Assad is being challenged by other Nationalisms under the ubiqitous flag of religion.
Kurdistan, India and the Middle East conspired with the British to destroy the Chaliphate of the Ottoman Empire, only to be short-changed. There are still Kurds, Indians and Middle Easterners who think they make the same gamble of collusion today and win. They see the West as overspent and weak, lacking in credibility and with undisciplined, spoilt populations.
They invite conflict, in Afghanistan, Iraq etc because they believe they can win. Nobody should be in any doubt that the gamblers and fortune seekers of political Islam are just as much to blame for the last 15 years of massacre as the West.
    .
The truth us that, just as England and Germany were the same, before they launched WWs 1 and 2, so Political Islam and neo-con viral global domination are also both the same. The cat has been completely out of the bag and out of its own skin since Libya. NATO bombers and special forces on the ground, in direct communication to political Islamists pocketing serious millions with country houses in the shires of England and Ireland.
Who’s going to worry if your new neighbours in stockbroker land got their money through corrupt dealings on the bond markets or selling their countries to thirsty oil-men?
    .
It may amuse the anti-religionists on this blog that the biggest enemy of Islam is the political Muslims who trade the good name of Islam for personal profit and power. The poisonous cocktail of power in Syria of Russia and Assad will be replaced by an equally poisonous cocktail of power, but more intoxicating, of the Muslim Brotherhood, controlled by US and Israel, and the darlings of the Conservative party, political Islam.
Plus cha change, plus ch’est la fucking meme chose, have another glass of Zham-zham old boy to wash away those nasty little shins.

A Security Breach Waiting to Happen: Serving Officers as Consultants
    .
Last week, Sam Hallam was acquitted by the Court of Appeal, after serving eight years in prison for a murder he couldn’t have committed. Counsel for the Crown seems only to have read the full case files about halfway through the hearing, because that was the point where the Crown suddenly withdrew its opposition to the appeal without any public explanation. Interestingly, Mr Hallam uses his first major interview, with the Mail on Sunday, to express, not merely his indignation at the way he was treated by an inquiry team led by then-Chief-Inspector Michael Broster, but also his concern that the conduct of the now-Superintendent Broster in the Gareth Williams case may have fatally compromised what is now and always should have been, a murder inquiry. See several articles in this blog about the Williams case, below.

There is absolutely sod-all in the UK MSM about the Hague – Lieberman meeting…

  • nevermind

Even Google does not suggest any meeting is to happen, Komodo. The last time they met and rattled sabres over Palestinian peace negotiations and false flag attacks in Iran, a row broke out over the legislation that is to stop the red faced arrests of war criminals in Britain.

here is apicture that best describes Jack Straws talents,i.e. playing off the local electorate against each other.

Hallo Tony, still alive and well then?

  • Komodo

Maybe Hague will be briefing Lieberman on the outcome of the G8 and NATO meetings. I guess “what will NATO do if Israel bombs Iran?” will be something of a burning question.
