Not Forgetting the al-Hillis 22278

The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.

Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:

the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?

The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.

Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:

Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.

There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.

But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.

The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?

    This is an aside.

In this story, the biggest question might be who the taller, slimmer second shadow belongs to, and why that person has been airbrushed out. I say airbrushed because surely the person could have been erased completely by digital photo editing on a computer.

    http://www.jewishtribune.ca/news/2013/02/19/police-release-video-of-woman-near-murder-victims-home

This also points to the inaccurate time stamp on the video, which the police say was 60 to 90 minutes ahead of real time.

Oliphant 5.38 There is something deeply repugnant about a political establishment that prosecutes the whistleblower whilst protecting the torturer don’t you think?

“The Guardian/BBC Arabic investigation was sparked by the release of classified US military logs on WikiLeaks that detailed hundreds of incidents where US soldiers came across tortured detainees in a network of detention centres run by the police commandos across Iraq. Private Bradley Manning, 25, is facing a prison sentence of up to 20 years after he pleaded guilty to leaking the documents.

Samari claimed that torture was routine in the SPC-controlled detention centres. “I remember a 14-year-old who was tied to one of the library’s columns. And he was tied up, with his legs above his head. Tied up. His whole body was blue because of the impact of the cables with which he had been beaten.”

Gilles Peress, a photographer, came across Steele when he was on assignment for the New York Times, visiting one of the commando centres in the same library, in Samarra. “We were in a room in the library interviewing Steele and I’m looking around I see blood everywhere.”

The reporter Peter Maass was also there, working on the story with Peress. “And while this interview was going on with a Saudi jihadi with Jim Steele also in the room, there were these terrible screams, somebody shouting: ‘Allah, Allah, Allah!’ But it wasn’t kind of religious ecstasy or something like that, these were screams of pain and terror.” http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/mar/06/pentagon-iraqi-torture-centres-link

“Colonel James Steele was a 58-year-old retired special forces veteran when he was nominated by Donald Rumsfeld to help organise the paramilitaries in an attempt to quell a Sunni insurgency, an investigation by the Guardian and BBC Arabic shows.

After the Pentagon lifted a ban on Shia militias joining the security forces, the special police commando (SPC) membership was increasingly drawn from violent Shia groups such as the Badr brigades.

A second special adviser, retired Colonel James H Coffman, worked alongside Steele in detention centres that were set up with millions of dollars of US funding.

Coffman reported directly to General David Petraeus, sent to Iraq in June 2004 to organise and train the new Iraqi security forces. Steele, who was in Iraq from 2003 to 2005, and returned to the country in 2006, reported directly to Rumsfeld.” http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/mar/06/pentagon-iraqi-torture-centres-link

6 Mar, 2013 – 5:01 pm – all depends what account you believe. Don’t you think it’s just a tad strange that when eventually the news seeps out, the prison turns into a 5 star hotel and the Israeli government into the Savoy Maitre D. Next thing we’ll be told told he didn’t even commit suicide, but drifted off in a sublime and ecstatic reverie.

  • bluebird

The Middle America links of olifant’s great guardian link made me think of the “suicide” of CIA guy Rafael Prieto who was CIA’s highest ranked representative in El Salvador and Nicaragua at the same time when Steele was on duty there. His strange “suicide” happened only a few days before Patraeus retired. Particularly the reason given for his suicide is strange (a Mexican girlfriend), simply because he was already divorced from his wife long ago.

Here below is a list of strange suicides and deaths connected with politics and intelligence work. Al Hilli isnt listed there, though.

    http://lgstarr.blogspot.com/2012/11/more-mysterious-deaths-surrounding-obama.html?m=1

Worth reading the below death and suicide list with strange accidents.

I believe that the below link from 2006 supports olifant’s contribution. However, then it were the Americans who ordered the assassination of al Hilli because they had to lose most if he really had any hot documents.

May 16-20, 2005 — Los Angeles Times and New York Times reveal discovery of 46 bodies, all Iraqi men abducted and slain execution-style, in various locations: floating in the Tigris, dumped in ditches and garbage-strewn lots, and buried at a poultry farm.

Buried at a poultry farm? How many poultry farms are there in Iraq?

Re: Canadians who died by asphyxiation in their condo in Florida…

The woman in the video did not act alone, according to police. I say her accomplice was the shadowy slender man, disguised as a shrubbery. It might be the best lead so far, as the lead investigator has taken a page from M. Maillaud in announcing the case will be solved in 10, 15, 20 years, perhaps after he has retired. Is this some kind of code nowadays?

I urge investigators to look for signs of a paralytic drug, which sometimes happens when people are asphyxiated, especially when pillows are used.

Briefly popping head up while still too busy to comment much. Came across this official DAFT report from the Australians (what the Guardian story is built on, I think). Much to chew on there, especially some evidence of keeping the lid on things by Australia’s official ASIS agency and the foreign service. It’s between the lines though – just read through those de-briefings of Mr. Moriarty, among other tid-bits that serve to show, I think, how hard some people must have been working to keep things under wraps.

    http://www.scribd.com/doc/128815193/Report-into-DFAT-s-handling-of-Zygier-case

Most importantly – check out Appendix C for some curious dates. The very first date mentioned is january 31, 2010 as the date of the arrest of Zygier – who was at that time remanded to Ayalon prison. Then the date of February 16 2010 which is when that “other agency” no doubt ASIO, was notified of the arrest, followed by the date we already knew of February 24, 2010 when ASIS was notified.

    To put in context:

January 19, 2010, the date when Mahmoud al-Mabhouh is assassinated in Dubai.

February 14/15 – date when first reports of the foreign passports used by the Mossad assassins come trickling out of Dubai (though the Australian passports are not mentioned until March 1 or 2).

Interesting that ASIO gets briefed by Israel of the arrest of an unidentified dual citizen on February 16, kind of like “the day after”? maybe to assure them that prisoner x ‘s passport was not abused in the Dubai hit?

Next off – if ben Zygier is in prison on January 31 and Maya, his wife gives birth at around Dec 11 that year, was this one of the longest pregnancies recorded among our hominid species or what? stay tuned however, for sudden disclosures of “family visits”, maybe right around March 10?

The other set of interesting dates and briefings take place this year – in response to FOI requests and the realization that the Bormann report was coming out. There is, to my untrained eyes, some evidence of panic in some corridors hidden behind the dry, cryptic language.

More funny stuff about “minor irregularities” in repatriating the body to Australia. That must have been one heck of a scared family – both in Australia and in israel.

OK, interlude over – please go back to discussing the al-Hillis – very interesting, even if I must continue my own little digging here, as there are more nuggets to unearth. More detailed speculations soon….

    Well, well, well….
If the Americans are one thing, they are consistent !

The old “Foreign Advisors” sitting in a far off lands, with hordes of murderers doing their bidding.

And they want to make an example of Manning !
It just shows you how “brain-washed” the American public are.

If Al-Hilli was somehow connected to Al-Saffar…and there was a dossier from around that time which made it to Al-Hilli, that would no doubt contain the names of those two “Foreign Advisors” of the Americans.

Just a random thought on Chevaline in light of what has been found.
Was the eldest daughter in the front seat of the car due to “travel sickness”…or was it a sign of respect to the person or persons he may have been meeting or thought he was meeting ?

Perhaps off topic and just a good conspiracy …

Does Israel try a revival of the Ten Plagues from the Old Testament? Without any doubts, the last 4 plagues will be caused by a nuclear explosion. But the frogs will be rats …

Incidentally there are some paralells with the 10 plagues of Egypt. There are more than 1 million Jews living in Iran who want to go back into political and economic power of Iran, but the Mullahs won’t let them.

Also – like in the times of Moses when the world century (precision) changed from taurus to aries (destroy the golden calf and blow the aries horn to announce 10 new laws), we are about in the time of a new precision when we change from fishes (Jesus) to aquarius.there are paralells.

Maybe some smart guys of the NWO “aquarius” want to revive those plagues on their enemies.

What if somebody knew about how it works and he would try to leak those plans? (Zygier, al Hilli, etc.)

The second plague? Caused naturally? Not really …

I referred to those giant rats (read above) simply because we had a lot of biomed and pharma references in the al Hilli investigation, both on the French, Swedish, British and Iraqi side.

I dont believe the BS that such rats would grow by 1000% within one season only. No way. Not by radiation (if so, they would die shortly after birth) and the baby rats would be alreadybigger than their mother. How should that work? No scientific way possible. It would take at least 10.000 geberations (even when radiation and chemicals were involved) to grow by 1000%.

The only sane answer would be a biotech lab. Where would that be?

We know that since 9/11 most significant events had obvious signs and messages and it looks as if that script was written by people who believe in the testament of our ancestors.

Quotes (the final plagues cannot be anything else than a nuclear explosion).

8:2 And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs:8:3 And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into thine house, and into thy bedchamber, and upon thy bed, and into the house of thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneading troughs:8:4 And the frogs shall come up both on thee, and upon thy people, and upon all thy servants.

    Boils

9:8 And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.9:9 And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.

    7. Thunder and Hail (nuclear fallout?)

9:18 Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.

10:4 Else, if thou refuse to let my people go, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast:10:5 And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field.

    Just some names for Bluebird.
Can we link anything below to Al Hilli (or family) ?

Ammar al Saffar (born 1950) is registered with Co House.
He is “British”. However the name and DoB match.

The Co name is “Research and Study Trust Limited”.

    Also
    Sadik Jafar Altayar (co sec).
    Taha Abbas (acc)
    Hana Abbas (?)

The accountant has 19 companies listed.
    1 open, 17 retired from, 1 closed.

Many however are only very very “short term” directorships.
To my untrained eye, there looks to be little…but to a bird eye !

Some days ago, I heard on US Fox News a little chat with Susan Estrich, a leftist who is one of their commentators, and they were all cheerful that %73 of the public approves of drone strikes overseas “provided only rarely were American citizens killed”.

Then they allowed that there is more concern about their use on US territory — 60% disapprove — from the left because of privacy rights (they’ll spy on the pot farms?) and from the right probably because they imagine they will be Obama’s targets.

7 Mar, 2013 – 4:31 am An interesting document you recommended at http://www.scribd.com/doc/128815193/Report-into-DFAT-s-handling-of-Zygier-case.

Such investigations and reports, although charged with finding out the truth, also are very aware of a responsibility to protect state organs and deflect responsibility from political masters. They may be honourable and genuine but as we have seen both in Britain and United States, they ultimately tend to reflect what Government wants to say about itself.

The Zygier incident would never have been an issue had it not been made one by security sources probably around autumn 2012 resulting in an ABC TV programme in Jan 2013. (There is suggestion of press interest before and after the Dubai assassination and brief mention of the incarceration of an anymous prisoner in June 2010 by an Israeli site but this was quickly stamped on.) Neither his wife in Israel or parents and extended family in Melbourne made waves and his embalmed body was returned and buried without press coverage. And so it would have remained, unknown had the story not broken two years later. So the intentions and actions of Mossad almost worked.

It is clear from the report only two senior figures in the Australian Dept of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) were notified by Australian SS sources, suitably anontmised in the report. In both cases it was orally communicated and no formal record was kept. The first individual “could not recall” the conversation, the second, perhaps more (or less?) astute kept his own informal record. Neither the Minister for Foreign Affairs or the Australian Ambassador in Tel Aviv was told anything. In other words it was clear that the Australian Secret Services were in the picture but complicit in keeping the matter secret and supporting the Israeli line. So the question must arise “What changed to make ASIS leak the story when it could have remained dead and buried?” I would suggest Chevaline might have been a factor.

One little interesting fact that the report puts down to a “very minor process errors” the fact that the death date was recorded as 9th December 2010 rather than 15th December 2010. In my experience government officials always treat deaths with increased caution and accuracy, so it is rather surprising the Embassy at Tel Aviv should do so without a good reason. What that reason was we do not know. Apparently Zygier’s lawyers saw him only days before his demise so we must assume it was just a mistake.

Then there is the recently released information that he had over 50 family visits whilst incarcerated. That’s more than one a week on average. On the face of it the secrecy and isolation of his retention sits uneasily with this as does his “suicide” with every indication of his state of mind and conditions under which he was held. Were it not for the grief of the family, one might even consider the possibility that this was all a ruse to cover the disappearance of a valuable asset.

  • Marlin

    Tim V,

I think I have a somewhat different take on the agencies at work as told in the DFAT report. That “another agency” must be ASIO. that’s got to be the one that put the journalist jason Koutsoukis on Zygier’s trail back in October 2009, who then ended up writing about the three dual-loyalty “Australians” in Feb 27, 2010. That report would not have seen the light of day is the that ‘certain” intelligence agency didn’t want it to. What I read – kind of between and behind the lines is that the two agencies – ASIO and ASIS were at loggerheads. It is also quite likely that the Australian foreign office, subject to political pressures, was informed soon enough, but had to kow tow to political influences. They basically covered up what ASIO told them and did not take forceful action against Israel, when they should have. Zygier was the weapon handed to the Australian politicos and they dropped the ball – probably because of strong jewish influence in their ranks, which was stronger than commitment to the integrity of their passports. That is the only way to understand those weird statements in the report about them “trusting” the Israelis to behave in a civilized manner – something no one in their right mind would do. The reticence about visiting Zygier, the absolute silence of the family, the peculiar ‘forgetfulness” of carr and the ambassador who has seen nothing and heard nothing – well, there was some maneuvering behind the scenes to keep it so.

But there’s the thing – one day in December ben Zygier is dead – which must have fallen like a bomb shell for the Australian family – they were probably promised that if they keep quiet, things will go “better” for Ben, so they believed it, because they were believers in the zionist state. Of course, maybe now at least some of them kbegin to realize – or suspect – what is obvious to most in the world – that little state – at least most of its agents – are only for themselves in the narrowest sense of the word (which is why I believe no state is as bad for Jews as israel, which some have called the anti-thesis of anything that was ever good in Judaism).

back to ASIO – the more secretive intelligence agency – which has neither forgotten nor forgiven the whitewashing of the more politically contaminated classes, including ASIS. They sit and they bide their time. even as they continue to commune with their british counterparts. Then Chevaline “happens” in Septemeber. The british are furious and the die is cast – Bormann, who may have been privy to bits of information and little leaks all along, is given the “green light”, just like jason was before him. And the documentary is put together. The only caveat is that the company in Milano, and the two other Australian dual citizens not be named. Bormann agrees to those terms.

Then come january 2013 – just look at the story behind those dates as revealed (or barely veiled) in Appendix C – there was serious hand wringing, that’s clear. I think that at some point “some” in that very influence peddling jewish community decided to pointedly step aside and not exert as much influence as they could to squash the story and prevent it from going on the air – that despite some serious attempts at strong-arming by the Israeli agencies.

So that’s the gist of my speculation- which is really just ornaments around Tim V’s original suggestion regarding the possible Zygier/Chevaline connection. I know I am better at figuring political conspiracies than criminal ones, but then to each their own, right?

As I said before, people out there – and here – may not quite process what a huge blow to Mossad’s prestige were the Zygier revelations. If this was ASIO’s and MI5″s revenge, then it hit the spot, even if we don’t quite get to see the heads rolling on the floor. If you know any israeli – ask them. They all know it’s a serious black eye, at least as bad as Dubai, if not worse. And I believe that it wasn’t just Mossad’s reputation that got a kicking – the behavior towards Zygier indicates vengefulness – which is likely only if a significant operation was compromised, even if he was just the trigger. It’s the vengefulness they wanted to cover up – hence those “50 family visits” and the Ayalon Hilton hospitality we are suddenly hearing about. If Israelis find out about the revenge aspect of it, then they will realize how serious the failure was and they will lose trust in the Mossad. That is why they couldn’t let Zygier go on trial, and why Feldman could not get his hands on the file. ben Zygier had to die so that the deep structural failure in the guts of the Mossad would not be exposed to the israelis, who might be badly demoralized (of course they all suspect something like this is/was going on. But suspicion is not the same as knowing, isn’t it?).

From this “little’ post you can probably surmise just why some might find the Zygier case both fascinating and enlightening. It’s like getting the mafia bosses on a “technically” – we can’t hope to expose them over Dubai – or Chevaline – but we can point fingers over Zygier.

BTW, my theory about the potential role played by members of the jewish establishment in Australia in first squashing – then deliberately letting the veil be lifted some – is an original. If I am right, then it is a hopeful sign – at least on the grand scale.

BB and all – I am sorry I don’t have as much political insight about Iraq and the Al Hillis. Wish I did and could help more in that direction. Sometimes we must bow to our betters….

  • James

    Marlin…

But you confuse “crime” and “politics”.
    Tehy are the same !

    Italy shows us that.
And America (who cares about Human Rights, right).
    And Blair…et Bush.
And….do I really need to go on !

Was Ben Z (Mr X) and Chavaline linked ?
Was Al Hilli something to do with the kidnap of Al Saffar ?

This is not “politics”. It is “crime”.
    Politics IS crime.

Al hilli. Is the disclosure about that crime “in the public interest” ?
Most likely. And on two counts.
    1. It is a strange case. One which MAY involve VARIOUS govt bodies from various countries. And if that is not the case, then it is most important people are warned about a serial killer on the loose.
    2. No one trusts the “authorities anymore (esp post 9/11). So it is upmost that authorities restore some trust.

On both those counts (1a/1b and 2) this has to be an important factor.
This is clearly missed (or more likely side stepped) by them.

So…Good morning all. I have landed. Eaten. And now must speak to the future Madame James…before she goes mad ! (not in the public interest !)
