The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.

Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:

the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?

The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.

Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:

Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.

There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.

But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.

The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?

    As for the guns and explosives: those are hidden in secret places since 1946/47, Lugers included. The good thing is that these guns arent registered. And they are still working fine. No trace and track is possible. And nobody is talking since their logo forbids any talking.
    The “stay behind” secrets, training and abilities are traditionally given forward within the families, from the father to his son, etc.

    The selection of Annemasse on the French Swiss border for the headquarters in 1956 is also interesting.  This small border town is reported to be the centre for the “Gladio” stay-behind units formed to fight behind the lines in the event the Soviet Union invaded Western Europe.  The prospect of Russia over-running Europe was most unlikely – a fact known by the US and European military and intelligence community of the day.  The Europe-wide Gladio operation had far darker designs.  Its principal objective was directed at keeping the allegiance of Western European nations securely in the US economic orbit as well as moving their political infrastructure further to the right.

    7.65 mm. (under a third of an inch) That’s the diameter of the alleged Luger PO6 pistol.

    Bossy is recently quoted as saying “he saw Mr Hilli with a hole “as big as a two Euro coin” in his head.”

    This is a pretty dramatic and precise description. It was not significantly mentioned by WBM although he must have witnessed it to. Is it one of those seeded clues Marlin and I have alluded to?

    What could be the explanation for a much larger entry wound (x3) than the bullet causing it?

    The first explanation may be two bullets in quick succession in identical location – the quaintly termed “double tap”. This almost invariably points to military training and almost certainly rules out naive amateurism.

    The second explanation would be a more sophisticated type of bullet – the so called “Dum Dum” – specifically designed to expand on impact.     So we may say with some certainty, that the combination of post mortem and ballistic evidence should have identified the nature of the bullet, weapon from which it came and the manner in which it was used. It may have been, as we have been told, a Luger firing a 7.65 mm bullet but this would not on its own explain the inch+ hole described.

    Bluebird, I gather that Roger Mollier was born only in 1933 – that kind of makes him too young to have fought in WWII, even as a teean ager for the partisans. In 1945, he would still be only 12 years old. How does this square with the Gladio theory and the induction of Sylvain into the “stay behind”?

    I always found this coincidence interesting: 2011 as the year both SM’s a father and SAH’s father died (not 100% sure about the dates but it’s close). I believe i saw Tim V draw attention to this commonality before, right along with the fact that both had some “family”/”inheritance” issues. Could just be happenstance. But still interesting..

    In a comment yesterday, I laid out the unfolding of the “game” between French and British side. it’s really becoming a tit-for-tat – almost predictable.

    I called the appearance of Bossy on the documentary (including what WAS NOT included) as a point for the Brits. Since the ball was in the french court i expected a counter-move and it showed up today!

    Le parisen, the same journo Ducos (who i am placing on the french side) provided disclosures about calls placed to Romania from Ziad’s home. Adding some bitchin’ by EM that since January, they are unable to get the numbers. Further calls to Romania from Fadwa al Saffar – including from the Claygate home – wow! sounds intriguing. Nice dribble by the French side.

    But wait – there was a foul call from the brits immediately – in the form of an article in the Guardian, containing facts in direct contradiction to the Parisienne.

    French are now speaking to the referee (and just who’s that, you may ask) demanding their own turn at a penalty kick on some cocomaney pretext (something along lines of – bad brits, they never tell us notin’. EM is limping and grimacing in feigned pain. Well, you know, that doc did not make him look all that good. I’d grimace too were I him…). We’ll see what happens tomorrow.

    Moving to baseball now – it’s not the 9th inning yet, so there’s plenty of time to see a few more pitches. As for a home run – no such luck (sorry, Bluebird – I love your Gladio script, but – a few more holes in one to fill. Oops! did I just shift to Golf? bad me).

    yes, it would require a major Chevaline conspiracy-of-silence – may be they all got together in a town meeting and made a vow of silence?

    OTOH, the complete disappearance of any SM online trace within a day of the tuerie de Chevaline is kind of tantalizing, isn’t it? either the good fellow Sylvain had zero impact – or, someone managed to erase all traces of his existence – documents, school records, kids’ events, ex-wife bitchin’, property/divorce papers, deeds etc – within less than a day. I know that on CM and DI there were people searching immediately and we can be sure that reporters looked. But nada, other than the archer (who unfortunately for him, most iof us now visualize when we think of Sylvain).

    on this blog, the early days were taken up with speculation about a DA notice, and I think I saw some sparks fly when Anders7777 was around. But even if no such notice was issued, the complete disappearance of the online records of three of the victims so fast is quite puzzling, to say the least. i would think that even the great forces of prism would need more than a day for a complete digital clean-up job.

    Over the month of September and into october, I think nit’s fair to say that no gitial stone was left unturned. But no records or the faintest statement emerged about SM that I ever saw. And the searchers here were pretty good and thorough.

    Marlin, there are quite some data regarding Sylvain Mollier.
    His ex wife, his first two sons, his now girlfriend and his baby, his father’s obituary in Le Dauphine where he was mentioned together with his ex wife’s family.
    All the people i have mentioned do exist. We found documents and evidence, fb, twitter and company evidence including photos.

    What they did delete was fb and twitter if he had any. I believe that NATO is able to do this. That is one reason about why i am sure that this was never a “french inly” op. The french would not be able to clean the internet on american servers that quick. They would need CIA/NSA assistance. Even the Brits would not be able doing that alone that quickly.
    Forget about Iranians or Iraqis. No chance. Have you ever tried to remove your own fb page? It’ll take weks … if you are ever lucky to succeed with your request. Have you ever tried to remove search robot entries from google? Even then if you deleted your website including the wayback machine, this will take days. Except when you have direct access to the database of these companies. NSA got it.

    There for NATO and/or CIA/NSA must have been involved. My strong guess is NATO Gladio therefore, simply because the french and brits must have been involved with previous planning and knowledge, too.
    I am not talking about Eric and the french police. They are poor chaps dependent on what these organisations allow them to investigate.
    Finally they will present them a patsi who will go to jail for nothing he had done, since the real killer is already dead. That will finally satisfy the general public and we’re going to stop our investigations and making them no more nervous.

    Read the internet regarding previous “GLADIO assassinations”. Never ever was the true killer found, and if he was found because their planning was a mistake, then he was killed quickly.
    I hope that the nice and cute girls from Prism are able to read between the lines, too. Then they will be having a full time job with my posts only.

    Regarding the 25 shots in your recent link:

    Lets do the math of what we do know (whether or not this is true what they had told us):

    Zainab: 1 shot
    Suhaila: 2
    Iqbal: 2
    Saad: 2 plus 1 into his back = 3
    Sylvain: 7 (that wasnt the pro killer but le chef de l’euipe killing the killer. He should train more shooting since he is getting old)

    Total: 15 shots into targets.

    Missed: 10 shots (while we do not know whether or not the killer missed those shpts or the elder guy who killed the killer.

    However, we can say that the killer missed less than 50% of the shots that did not hit humans. Consider that the killer was attacked and hit and injured by the car. That might have caused 5 misplaced shots. Perhaps he tried to shoot the wheels for stopping that car, too. We do not know.

    However, an amateur would have missed more than 50% of the shots when thete was a moving car attacking and hitting him and likely injuring him and even damaging that gun.

    Honestly, i would really recommend to read the following lino plus all listed sublinks, watch the embedded videos and read the comments. I know that this will take a lot of time and it is nothing you can do between lunch and dinner only. However, after you had done this and after you did understand the background and the motivation of such ops, you will much better understand the Chevaline event, too. If SM would not have existed then you had to invent him. He and his family fit perfect into that scenario. Not as a welder but as a “stay behind” member.
