Alisher Usmanov 194

Now officially Britain’s wealthiest man, Alisher Usmanov has perhaps the world’s most carefully manicured Wikipedia entry. This article looks interesting and worrying. Can anyone do a good translation? Automatic web translators seem to struggle with it even more than usual. Please do not post any automated translations.

    What a miserable little pamphlet being distributed by Richard Corbett, MEP, preying on all the usual overbown fears about racism and homophobia in the UKIP ranks. I note that in Section One, subheaded “They are openly waythist”, it is alleged that Peter Watson, UKIP Chairman North Dorset, once sent an email in which he referred to “Jewish merchant bankers”. Shock, horror! I’m sure he’d fit right in around here then!

    I think we can see where Giles is coming from and that he has a fixation with the J word. I was looking up Farage’s directorships and gave the details.

    I expect Giles knows that there is a UKIP Friends of Israel and another for Palestine.

    We will see if Farage turns out to be a nine day wonder. Vine on Marr has has Redwood, Hunt and Mandelson on speaking about EU membership from their known positions.

    The latter’s current register of interests.

    Willbury Ltd to whom he remits his speaking fees belongs to him and his partner I believe. Note the assets value.

    ‘The combined cash at bank value for all of Peter’s current businesses is £443,623, with a combined assets value of £1,373,554 and liabilities of £230,887.’

    ‘The combined cash at bank value for all of Reinaldo’s current businesses is £194,778, with a combined assets value of £669,951 and liabilities of £87,263.’

    Thanks. Yes,I get it now, “Nationalist Black Shirts” for sure! Known to be willing and able to pour sugary drinks and use their vocal chords. I am truly shocked. Now what sane person would not fear for the future of an independent Scotland?

    These dangerous thugs must be tackled before the inevitable “Night of the Long Drinks”.

    Have you considered teaming up with Dad. That would be awesome.

    A poem for Whit Sunday when it WAS a holiday and before Heath replaced it with the ‘Spring Bank Holiday’ in 1971. We had decimalisation that year too and two years later he entered us into the EEC/Common Market.

    Whitsun

    This is not what I meant:
    Stucco arches, the banked rocks sunning in rows,
    Bald eyes or petrified eggs,
    Grownups coffined in stockings and jackets,
    Lard-pale, sipping the thin
    Air like a medicine.

    The stopped horse on his chromium pole
    Stares through us; his hooves chew the breeze.
    Your shirt of crisp linen
    Bloats like a spinnaker. Hat brims
    Deflect the watery dazzle; the people idle
    As if in hospital.

    I can smell the salt, all right.
    At our feet, the weed-moustachioed sea
    Exhibits its glaucous silks,
    Bowing and truckling like an old-school oriental.
    You’re no happier than I about it.
    A policeman points out a vacant cliff

    Green as a pool table, where cabbage butterflies
    Peel off to sea as gulls do,
    And we picnic in the death-stench of a hawthorn.
    The waves pulse like hearts.
    Beached under the spumy blooms, we lie
    Sea-sick and fever-dry.

    Sophia Did you watch much of the Eurovision Song Contest last night? You seem to have changed your name to a more European sounding hybrid. 🙂

    I thought Romania’s entry was the funniest and the Swedish presenter displayed some dry self-deprecating humour. The worst were the presenters giving the results from each country. They think they have become stars and milk it for all that they can.

    Whatever does it all cost considering the state of the economies in Europe?

    The policies of the UKIP, like the policies of the SNP, are not in themselves racist.

    The policies of the UKIP, like the policies of the SNP, will tend to attract followers who are racist. Any Nationalist party will attract racist followers, that is the nature of Nationalism.

    I don’t see that much difference between the SNP and UKIP, I think they would appeal to the same voters. Which is, of course, why the heavy mob were sent in.

    ” I expect Giles knows that there is a UKIP Friends of Israel and another for Palestine.”

    Yes, Giles does know as it was he who pointed to the latter after a claim was made that the UKIP is a Zionist organization for having a facebook page and a small office in South Molton for ‘Friends of Israel’! (ps, Why does Her Maj always talk to others indirectly in this majesterial manner of hers?)

    Where are you going with these cut-and-pastes from Company Check, Mary? If we want to check the finances of Mandelsohn or Reinaldo then we can do so ourselves, just as we can use Wikipedia and the BBC without your assistance.

  • Giles

    “Whatever does it all cost considering the state of the economies in Europe?”

    A lot less than membership of the EU!

  • Sofia Zabolotna-Habbercake

    No, April, I don’t even know who won! But I love the idea of Europeans, singing, instead of shooting, at each other. Did they say which sides had their music provided by the NATO / Arab Despot Studio?*

    Regarding my change of name. Who wouldn’t be enchanted to know her dad had been killed by a drunken moose, even it it did later transpire that the whole thing had been faked by the FBD? With my name-change I honour him.

    ‘Everyone’ now knows that the Zionist businessman Andrew Feldman, who ‘raised funds’ for David Cameron’s campaign for the Tory leadership, is the first Tory chairman to have his own office in 10 Downing Street.

    Can someone tell me when that fact first became public?

  • Giles

    “English Knight”, you are well-versed in the language of the English antisemite!

    I have been doing some research and the timing of all your contributions falls within the hour-long lunch break alloted to low-level clerks at the Likud Party HQ, Metzudat Ze’ev, 38 King George’s St., Tel Aviv, Israel !

    Coincidence? I don’t think so !!!

    When Sam complained of lack of wardrobe space?

    Thanks for that link to the BBC’s 2002 FCO link, someone, it completely exonerates Craig and makes the FCO look like torturers who knew what was going on.

    So did J.Straw and D. Milliband.

    Whilst the media is talking of ‘swivel eyed loons’ at each other throat, a claim that most definitely reflects the state of Norfolk County Council, Ed Milliped is talking of how he will make us all see, meaning he will let us all view how many taxes are lost to this country by multinationals who want to sell here, but don’t want to pay taxes at all, off course this is knob rotting poppycock, he will be told what to do.

    Alisher Usmanov is now established in this country and is hob nobbing with the noblesse oblique, improving his standing with the establishment.

    I would not shed a tear if he is the next target of this Russian mafia war that is raging in the gated ghettos of Sussex and London.

    @Giles – so you don’t know? I suspect the office fact has only been surfaced recently. He’ll stay, I reckon. Those who are trying to damage the poor soul may not. No need for silly jokes.

    A different subject, yet tangentially related, is the scandal of Hague slapping whatsits on the inquest into the death of Alexander Litvinenko. This means that the only two questions of real import cannot even be asked. Then the judge in charge of the inquest, accepting that these public immunity orders (aka censorship aka state interference in a murder investigation and the judicial process) will scupper his inquiry, render it meaningless, suggested instead a public inquiry where some of the evidence would be held in private (so, a not-so-public inquiry, then).

    So, it seems that it’s absolutely fine allegedly for a foreign state to murder someone in broad daylight on the streets of London in full view of the world using radiological weapons and to get away with it.

    Russia and Britain both will have very dirty secrets they don’t want aired in any way and that is likely to be why Hague has slapped these orders on the inquiry. A deal will have been struck behind closed doors. Litvinenko was a “traitor” to Russia and a disposable asset to Britain. And the death of that dubious character, Berezovsky, shortly before the inquest was due to begin? Suicide, or murder? He knew an awaful lot abotu the SIS (and FSB) and was looking like he needed money. Therefore, was he seen as a potential liability?

    Men-in-bags, men hung from shower rails, men given Hiroshima in their tea. It really is stranger than fiction.

    One writer tried to make sense of it all using fiction, but I think it all became so difficult that he eventually gave up.

    As regards UKIP and the nature of the beast a friend posted this this morning.

    “UKIP’s leader of Lincs Council Chris Pain, the party’s East Midlands regional chairman, wrote: ‘Have you noticed that if you rearrange the letters in ‘illegal immigrants’, and add just a few more letters, it spells, ‘Go home you free-loading, benefit-grabbing, resource-sucking, baby-making, non-English-speaking ********* and take those other hairy-faced, sandalwearing, bomb-making, camel-riding, goat-********, raghead ******** with you.’

    “… Peter Entwistle, party chairman in Bury, Greater Manchester, labelled President Barack Obama a Muslim, writing: ‘I bet he’s a closet ‘Imam’ as well! If I ever see him on a Greyhound bus wearing a rucksack, I’m getting off!!’

    “The party’s deputy chairman in Scotland, Misty Thackeray, ‘liked’ a Facebook group claiming ‘paedophilia is part of Islamic tradition’. He also praised far-right Dutch politician Geert Wilders, a self-confessed “hater of Islam”. Recommending Mr Wilders’ new book, he said: ‘Geert is great …(peace be upon him.. lol) ..!’

    “Meanwhile Tiggs Keywood-Wainwright, a UKIP councillor in Boston, Lincs, complained about mosques being built in “quintessentially English” Cambridge. ‘Is nowhere sacred for the Brits in Britain any more?’ she wrote. ‘Bottom line is we have too many muslims in this country!'”

    Suhayl I agree with you and raised the matter twice yesterday on the Plus Ca Change thread.

    “Only you can tell the truth to his widow and the British public on whose soil this murder was committed.”

    Do you think the British public gives a monkey’s who killed him?

    ~~~~
    He or she should know that ‘where the law ends, tyranny begins’, to paraphrase John Locke.
    It is a serious matter. There has been no progress either into the inquest for Berezovsky, one time employer of Litvinenko, which opened at the end of March.
    Men-in-bags, men hung from shower rails, men given Hiroshima in their tea. It really is stranger than fiction.
    Well said Suhayl, there is a history of men in strange places, we must not forget the forlorn banker hanging under a London Bridge.
    O/T The swivel eyed loons are out in force in Norfolk as well. After loosing the overall majority on NCC and having their leader Bill Borrett rejected by all other parties, in the absence of any other candidate.
    Now into this limbo steps NCC’s legal department, trying to sort out the committee representation for the forthcoming period of council as follow below.
    I note the standards and audit committees have more conservatives than other groups combined.
    http://www.norfolk.gov.uk/view/council240513item5pdf
    a fail safe, should they be unable to reach decisions.
    Cllr. Borrett, ex leader of NCC, who has still not fallen on his sword, is deeply implicated in the decision to grant Cory Wherelabrator a contract, without any outlying planning permission. The inquiry has just finished with all the usual summing up by the various parties and a decision is expected in September…
    The contract of this proposal, which has never been discussed or debated by full council, has been heavily deducted and despite Norfolk now having a more balanced political make up, is being kept secret from all and sundry, whether they are lawyers, elected councillors or anybody else in a responsible position, an imposed development with a secret contract, all allowed by our sloganising hopefuls, the direct result of two speed dating parties, resulting in a millionaires cabinet of newbies and some swivel eyed loon supporters, according to Lordy tawdry Feldman.
    Norfolk taxpayer paying for the Kings Lynn inquiry, some of the proposers legal costs, for an expensive ‘not value for money’ PFI, so that this expensive monstrosity from the 1970’s can be forced upon over 65.000 who said NO to it, in short we pay for everything.
    All this listening to the public does not really happen, its all imposition, past our real needs, by some vested interest groups who have long made these decisions to enforce EFW plants, over capacity or not.
    What Norfolk and our country needs are plants which can deal with household and municipal waste, with hardly any emissions, some products consumers want, which closes the waste cycle by recycling our waste. We also need tragets and gaols for industry and get away from the notion that business waste is outside this agreement. If we want to create jobs in this country, we need to choose recycling, because its a win win policy creating five times more jobs than incineration.
    Further, we have to establish landfill mining and turn the waste into gas, plasmaroc, compost, metals with one of these.
    http://www.advancedplasmapower.com/solutions/process-overview/
    Now, what a novel idea I hear you say, a plant with application in China, never mind Belgium, Europes best recycler, is not much promoted or supported by our local authorities? How come that these so called business types don’t see the advantages?
    Could it be that they have their noses too far up the brown backsides of vested company interests? or their pockets full of brown envelopes.
    Unless we start withholding our taxes from these people nothing will change.
  • Giles
    You can tell the Establishment is rattled by the desperate attempts to smear the UKIP. Tory HQ even appointed a team of junior researches to trawl through the entire internet history of every Ukipper in order to find dirt. And, as would be the case with any large grouping of people, they found it.
    The dirt nearly always centres on racism and homophobia, because to the media and political classes, these are the two cardinal sins. And many of the commenters on this blog are right-on with them. It fits with the preferred narrative, that a party opposed to mass-immigration is a racist party, that those opposed to gay marriage (or equal marriage, as it now called) are homophobes.
    I wouldn’t condone any of the remarks quoted by John Goss above, except perhaps the last, but it seems just to click ‘like’ on a Facebook page can condemn you, and to cobble together a few remarks made by a few individuals among many thousands of people can condemn an entire party.
    Giles, what would it take for you to *not* vote for a party which has representatives – paid representatives – who are openly hate-filled until monitored, which is in coalition with murderous extremists, and which has been rejected by its own founder for its far-right bigotry, extremism and scare-mongering? The fact that its leader boasts of acquiring at least £2 million of taxpayers’ money in expenses? Expenses which he more recently failed to publish?
