Happy New Year 888

This is my last comment for the year as we are off to spend Hogmanay as the guests of an Ambassador in Paris. Out of deference to my family, who have had the brunt of it these last few days, I am definitely not taking the laptop, so I will no longer be able to take part in the popular new bloodsport of proving your loyalty to the SNP by being nasty to Craig Murray.

My parting thought is that, as every year of my entire life, it has been a disastrous one for the Palestinians. Yet more land occupied, settlements built, homes destroyed, olive trees uprooted, shipping vessels sunk and yet another murderous onslaught on Gaza.

I warmly recommend this rare public appearance by Col. Larry Wilkerson, ex-Chief of Staff to Colin Powell and a fellow recipient of the Sam Adams Award for Integrity. His brief musings here on Israel and Syria come from a deep store of knowledge and a razor-sharp intellect.

Do have a wonderful celebration. The future will be good. We are closer to a transformational change in society than you may realise.

Happy New year to you.. hope it goes More Smoothly for you in 2015…Node’s video for you was Amazing, and Fitting Re his Thinking methinks. Stay Strong n Safe.

    Re Palestine. –

“Castro, 88, also attacked US Senator John McCain over his policies in the Middle East, describing him as “Israel’s most unconditional ally.”

He accused McCain of supporting Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency as well as participating “together with that service in the creation of the Islamic State, which today controls a considerable and vital portion of Iraq and reportedly one-third of Syria as well.”

Castro attacked the West for its “cynicism” and said that it became “a symbol of imperialist policy.”

  • Scouse Billy

Happy New Year to you and all here too.

The best hope for all of us may ironically reside in the US military.
Anyone who listens to the link I recently posted on the previous thread will hear there are many within the US military that would remove support for Israel and arrest/deport “dual nationals”.

Though I don’t expect it anytime soon, a military coup d’état there might be the best bet for all of us.

  • oddie

happy new year Craig and everyone else.

another bad day for the Palestinians:

BBC: UN Security Council rejects Palestinian resolution
Eight members of the 15-strong Security Council voted for it while the US and Australia voted against.
The resolution, condemned by Israel as a “gimmick”, needed the support of at least nine members in order to pass…
Even if it had secured the required nine votes, the US would have used its veto power to stop the adoption of the resolution…
Russia, China, France, Argentina, Chad, Chile, Jordan and Luxembourg voted in favour…
The UK, Lithuania, Nigeria, the Republic of Korea and Rwanda abstained…

  • oddie

read it all to see how watered down the Resolution was by the time it was voted on:

RT: Palestinian statehood bid fails at UN Security Council as US, Australia vote against
The draft resolution gathered only 8 votes in favour, so it was automatically defeated. The US however still used its veto power and voted against the resolution..
“This resolution sets the stage for more division, not for compromise,” said US Ambassador Samantha Power, calling the draft a “staged confrontation.”
“The United kingdom supports much of the content of the draft resolution. It is therefore with deep regret that we abstained from it,” said UK ambassador to the UN, Mark Lyall Grant. “We are disappointed that the normal and necessary negotiation did not take place on this occasion.”
However, Russia’s UN envoy Vitaly Churkin said that Moscow “cannot share the objections of those who believe that the draft resolution was undermining the prospects of the negotiating process.”
“Unfortunately last year revealed how this process has gone into a blind alley, with its monopolization by the United States and their pullback from the Quartet [US, EU, UN and Russia]. We believe this to be a strategic mistake,” said Churkin.
“This draft reflects just demands of Arab states, including the Palestinian people, and is in accord with the relevant UN resolutions, the ‘land for peace’ principle, the Arab peace initiative and middle-Eastern peace roadmap. And is also in accord with China’s consistent position. We express deep regret over the failure of the draft resolution to be adopted,”said Liu Jieyi, China’s permanent representative to the United Nations…

    Frazer,a few threads back,was right.

“Bollocks to them all.” Theyre all so stuck in their NLP Common Purpose cages they cant even concieve of any truth beyond their narrow self-built self-interested confines.

Tell your truth and go your own way in life.

Enjoy your Ferrero Rocher time in Paris and i wish you and your family a very Happy New Year.

    Scouse Billy,

“The best hope for all of us may ironically reside in the US military”

    I noticed that as well

I didn’t think we were allowed to write that here??

    What’s going on??

    Don’t worry..they’ll never understand

    Happy New Year Mate

  • USA USA U... .

Oddie, not all bad. Each new lonely neo-Bolshevik veto by the US government strengthens the case for UNSC reform: the classic palliative of (UNGA) Res. 377 A, the Small Five Reforms, or A/HRC/27/51, the world’s plans as compiled by the Independent Expert on the promotion of a democratic and equitable international order (Human Rights Council, Twenty-seventh session, Agenda item 3.) As everyone knows, the veto is a sop to uncivilized rogue states, and only one of consequence remains: the USA. Everyone on earth despises the USG, with the exception of its hirelings in satellite states. The US population loathes it; the independent nations of the the G-77 and NAM ignore it; and its designated enemies prepare serenely for the day when it’s gone. This is increasingly a multipolar world and there’s nothing that the USA can do about it. Die Wende was one down and one to go. Next it’s the turn of the US government to be dismantled by disgusted elites.

  • Scouse Billy

It’s merely an opinion, Tony after all.

This independence gig that Craig’s so dedicated to isn’t my definition of independence.

He seems to have faith in the EU – politically naive IMO but there you go:

There are none so hopelessly enslaved as those who (falsely) believe themselves to be free – Goethe.

Anyhow – a very Happy New Year to you:

  • Tony_0pmoc

USA USA..etc//…yeh but these people are dangerous…very dangerous psychopaths…and they are going to withdraw into their cages…and THE EVIL is looking at us…

So we all huddle round Pacifists, Armageddonists,Soldiers, and Priests..

    wtf do we do…

What does he like…Does He Like Girls, Boys, Women, Men, Sheep or Gorillas…

    I dunno.

I guess it must Be Something Down To Love.

They just recognised each other..are You ..in her teenage name..before she married me..

    Suffer little (Palestinian) children…….

Gerard Horton has moved from Defence of the Child International to Military Court Watch.

    ‘Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Here is a link to MCW’s Newsletter for December 2014.

    Some points to note are:

    * 156 children held in military detention.
    * 48% held inside Israel in violation of Fourth Geneva Convention.
    * Testimony alleging electric shock during interrogation.
    * Stone Cold Justice wins prestigious award for investigative journalism.
    * Military regulations for arresting minors translated.
    * Child detention raised in UK Parliament.
    * Australian Government claims legal professional privilege.
    * UK MPs seek further clarification from G4S.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions

    Best regards

    Gerard Horton
    Military Court Watch’

‘Detention figures – According to the Israeli Prison Service (IPS), as of 30 November 2014, there were 5,527 Palestinians (West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza) held as “security prisoners” in Israeli detention facilities including 156 children. In the case of children this represents decrease of 4 per cent compared with the previous month and an annual decrease of 4 per cent compared with 2013. According to the IPS, 48 per cent of Palestinian children and 90 per cent of adults continue to be detained in facilities inside Israel, in violation of Article 76 of the Fourth Geneva Convention. A further 1,955 Palestinians were held in IPS detention as “criminal prisoners” including 30 children. Criminal offences include entering Israel without a permit, most frequently in pursuit of work.’

Mary. @3.49am. Q. Why are we all awake.

Maybe we hope to find something new to make it all right.

All the very best to you and all who search in here.

  • Puzzled

Just saw Beeb report on the UNSC Palestine vote – 8-5-2, no detail, left wondering who voted for and abstained? And then switched to RT, clear as daylight, common OFCOM ban these communists before everyone stops watching yentobs yobs at the Beeb !

  • Puzzled

    BTW it was

FOR – Jordan, China, France, Russia, Luxembourg, Chad, Chile, Argentina.

    AGAINST – US and Australia.

ABSTAINED – UK, along with Lithuania, Nigeria, S Korea and Rwanda.

It means Cameron is confident of winning come May 2015 or they have a game-changer plan before then, Happy New Year until then !

  • Peacewisher

What! Tony Blair thinks labour now too left wing!!! I hope no one listens to him, but I suspect the Blairites from the Westminster bubble/matrix (like Jim Murphy?) will seize upon this to take their party further from policies needed for the benefit of the 99% of British people.

Labour lost “left wing” votes to libdems in 2005 and 2010, and will lose them to greens in 2015 even with current policies.

  • Peacewisher

@Puzzled: Cameron probably recommended abstaining because of pressure from (some of) the big money backers for his party in the forthcoming election. So it probably relates to the election, but there’s no indication that his big money advertising is working at the moment.

  • David mccann

Hi Craig.just catching up with events due to family problems, and really disappointed at what I consider a bad decision to turn down your candidacy.
I was looking forward to your input to Scottish affairs, and consider the decision a loss to the SNP.
Have a great time in Paris.
    I hope we remain friends

  • Mark Golding

Happy New Year Scouse Billy – Thanks for the Scott link pal – interesting.

Scott I believe will eventually disclose more treason and cowardice of this ‘place-holder’ Obama Administration. A cabal that deceived the American people and the world and went on and abandoned all those false promises from January 20, 2009 in an attempt to ‘second wind’ neo-con corporate America and Washington power.

The illegal and unconstitutional wars continue in Iraq and Afghanistan, and are now at least by proxy expanded into Africa and Syria and, but most dangerously, to Ukraine and a possible nuclear confrontation with Russia involving NATO.

In prep for the ‘final phase’ of world dominance civil liberties have been attacked in the US/UK and whistle-blowers jailed, with the American president backed by the British coalition asserting the unfettered right to order the killing without trial of American/British citizens.

A spying system is in place run by GCHQ/NSAgency that is monitoring and storing, by its own admission, virtually all electronic communications of targeted British and American people.

Both governments are also as closed and secret in their operatiosn and are certainly less transparent and open than under Blair/Bush/Cheney.

In Britain the Chilcot Report has been strangled and recent evidence from deposed Viktor Yanukovich and others confirm that Britain’s MI6 and CIA were involved in placing outside third party agitators, the so-called ‘shooters’ who killed 14 police men, wounded some 85, and killed 45 protesting civilians in Kiev. We know from the leaked phone conversation between the EU foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton and Estonian foreign affairs minister, which emerged online in March, the latter said that “there is now stronger and stronger understanding that behind the snipers, it was not Yanukovich, but it was somebody from the new coalition—-correct MI6 patsies I believe.

On the military coup my intention is to encourage high ranking serviceman ‘in the know’ to expose the ‘deep state’ treason before terrible waves of fear and death consumes 2015.
