Rusbridger The Worst Editor in the World Part 97 200

One war criminal writing about another. Nice chums you have, Rusbridger*.

For once there was something worth reading in the Guardian, an article by my friend Coleen Rowley. But the Guardian cut out the most important paragraph in the article. As Coleen put it in an email:

Unfortunately, the paper edited out the politically incorrect paragraph pointing out that the British Parliament committee inquiry totally ignored why Islamic terrorist recruitment is rising exponentially. So an even more important opinion piece needs to be written as to the factor swelling the numbers joining and affiliating with “terrorist” groups. Although the two issues are related as people’s naïve belief in the national security complex’s magical data-mining serves as cover to keep the more important debate from happening. Similar to Helen Thomas’ politically incorrect question: “why do they hate us?” or put more gently: “why can’t our bombs and exceptionalism win hearts and minds?” No longer will anyone in mainstream even ask if the US-NATO-Israel’s reliance on perpetual war, drone assassination and regime changes is working to reduce terrorism. I fear the Guardian would be unlikely to publish such an op-ed but it needs to be attempted nonetheless.

On Ms Rowley’s article the Graun modes were in typical form sticking to the official line.
I routinely copy any comment if I think it is contentious.
I was modded for saying the following :
    .
‘The War on Terror was found out to be a con many years ago.
Usual scenario is not far off the Rigby situation – even though it was a terrible thing for his family.
One of the killers, having already been tortured by British security forces, is trolled into saying how angry he is.
His contact, Mr Fox – an ex-soldier who has converted to Islam – gets Queen’s immunity for giving evidence.
Heard it all before. or not, as the case would be held in secret.
    ..
The British people would be safer if the Security Forces prosecuted the Saville Ring rather than destroying the evidence’
    .
Admittedly, it was very late at night.

The revelation, that Labour acted with the Tories, in the last hours of the Smith Commission talks, to vanquish devolving, of the minimum wage to Holyrood has provided evidence, of the so called “Party of the People’s” contempt for its core support.

  • Peacewisher

@Herbie: I doubt that. He was “affectionately” known as The Red in the White House. Do you have evidence?

Truman joined but wasn’t active. He objected to their Catholic bigotry. 🙂

Another poll has suggested that the SNP are on course for a conclusive victory in Scotland at next years General Election.

The survey conducted by Pollster, and Conservative Peer Lord Ashcroft (Oh he will be pleased)and published yesterday, put the SNP on 40% and Labour on 20%.

Excluding undecided voters SNP support rises to 49% whilst Labour support rises to 25%.

“Churchill used to do a runner down the country, when he knew the Luftwaffe were on their way. Then he’d come back in the morning after all clear, commiserating with the Cockneys, pretending we’re all in it together.”

Could you please provide a reference/source for that?

Holocaust-denier David Irving has written as much in his “Churchill’s War” (1987) but I’m sure you’ll be able to provide a more reputable source than that….

“And it was he himself who ensured the Germans bombed, much as Roosevelt ensured the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor.”

Again, could you reference/source that for us, please, and explain what is was that Churchill did which “ensured” the Blitz?

    Thank you.

@RoS: It seems that the only hope for Labour in Scotland is to elect a leader who is anti-Trident. Can’t see Westminster bubbles ever agreeing to that.

It would appear that Russia like the UK, has a suffering economy, as thousands of Russians including 7000 doctors, marched through Moscow, to demand more wages and better working conditions.

Over 28 hospitals and clinics in Moscow alone are due to close, in the near future, similar events took place in St Petersburg, Vladivostok, and several other Russian cities.

“Hitler didn’t want to fight the British at all. He liked them. That’s why he let them go at Dunkirk.

And he made numerous offers of peace to Britain. He wasn’t interested in Western Europe, as such, other than getting back the bits nicked at Versailles.

He was interested in Eurasia, and that’s what had to be stopped.”

So is it your opinion that Britain should have accepted his “numerous peace offers”?

What would have been the advantages and disadvantages to Britain and continental European countries of accepting them, in your opinion?

” as thousands of Russians including 7000 doctors, marched through Moscow, to demand more wages and better working conditions.”

I question the timing. Isn’t Russia struggling with the crash in Brent Crude price?

  • Peacewisher

Agreed, RoS, and we all know why this has happened.

In the latest Keiser Report, it is explained how US and Japan economies have massive debts and are also in a pretty bad way, with QE keeping the US economy afloat. It seems that Germany is the only economy gaining out of these post-2008 squabbles over a diminished cake.

    Peacewisher.

Yes, indeed the Labour branch in Scotland, needs a new manager, Jim Murphy looks to be that man, but head office at Westminster must approve him first.

His rival Neil Findlay does though have the backing of one of the unions, Sarah Boyack the other possible branch manager has years of experience but it looks like she lacks charisma.

Hopefully the SNP will slaughter Labour at the GE, and take most of the Scottish MP’s seats at Westminster.

Nicola Sturgeon has openly said she’d never back the Tories, she did say she’d back Labour, if they decommission Trident at Faslane.

I wonder if Ed Miliband would agree to that in order to become PM, if SNP votes were needed to swing it.

  • Peacewisher

@Ben: Brent Crude price is reviving (approx. $72). I expect the Rouble is under pressure because of the announcement of recession (-0.8) in 2015.

Yes I think you’re spot on there, with all that’s going on Ukraine, Syria, the fall in oil price, Putin has his hands full, and Russian citizens pleas, will fall on deaf ears.

PW; It’s projected to drop to 60 before the bottom falls out. The tenuous house of economic cards has the Banksters thinking about jumping from the bridge.

I trundled through the comments on Coleen Rowley’s article. Not a single one could I find questioning the official nonsense on 9/11. Considering some 43% of Americans who, having seen pictures of the demolition of Building 7, believe it to have been a controlled demolition, this is surprising in a “comments are free” press. What “Comments are free” means is you are free to comment but it will be discarded if it is a controversial truth.

Add it to the Unlawful Killing of Princess Diana which you can watch abroad but not in the UK.

You know more than I do Peacewisher, glad someone has their finger on the pulse, I did read that the Italian economy is struggling as well.

As for Germany, I’ll never understand why the UK hasn’t followed the German Model of actually producing and manufacturing quality goods that people want.

  • Peacewisher

@Ben: Lol… they ought to grow a pair! Makes good headlines though… especially if someone did throw themselves off a bridge. Not that the average mm journalist would bother about consequences of their irresponsible actions… [for some reason, I am reminded of Diana’s demise, but she played the game so not a good e.g. anyway]

Churchill avoided peace efforts at all costs, indeed he assumed the position of PM in order to ensure that Britain escalated a war with Germany.

Remember, most of the British elites and the population were against war.

Churchill bombed civilian targets in Germany first.

    Why?

    Was that a military advantage?

well, RoS, they would not have any quality cars to sell here…;)
Vince Cable has given Lotus ten million to keep alive, what a waste of money, it will not revive this brand.
Unless they come up with a car that runs on compressed air, such as the French just started to produce, they are hopelessly limping behind the times.

@Nevermind: simple, they wanted to destroy the British TU movement. And they succeeded.
