I assume this post didn’t make it on to the front end because it was too cumbersome, so thought I’d re-post it here instead:
Apologies, this is a bit of a lazy post & I won’t even vouch for all the info shared, up to people to do their own reading & thinking.
But in honour of the great “jigsaw”, the following ‘pieces’ might add some food for thought & useful context:
May 2021_Swift Response war ‘games’ – 7000 NATO airborne troops. “Joint forcible entry exercises” in Estonia, Bulgaria & Romania…….
June/July 2021_Sea Breeze military exercises, Black Sea region – “4000 troops, forty combat ships and other vessels, thirty military aircraft and over 100 armored vehicles”. Smuggling munitions to Ukraine?

“NATO ready to fight in seven-year Black Sea conflict” – not sure how accurate this is, just came across it & haven’t bothered to delve into it, but interesting if true:

Regardless of any historically ‘routine’ nature these exercises that might be argued to have, & regardless of what they may or may not actually be doing, the belligerent impression it gives to our latest (re)labelled ‘enemy’, Russia, is hard to excuse, even to the most trusting simpleton.June 30, 2021 at 09:54 #73431josh R
this thread isn’t posted so much as a ‘discussion’, but rather as an interesting resource in light of the goings on between NATO & Russia. Hope that’s not taking liberties with this forum.
As such, just thought I’d update with details of another pretty large joint military exercise. I guess these happen all the time & I’ve no idea of the significance, whether there’s anything untoward in the offing, but I’ll post anyway:
US NATO_Live-fire Space War_Star Wars Drills in Arctic. Seem to be focused on ballistic missile interception with a bit of Star Wars thrown in.

going off my own topic a bit, but kind of related.
“Crowding the Pacific & Pressuring China – In one month alone, this June, the U.S. IndoPacific Command military forces participated in over 35 war maneuvers with other countries.”
Sounds like a lot,
