Peter Mandelson was employed as a consultant, with some reports indicating this work took place within Maxwell’s Mirror Group headquarters during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

It would seem that the European Union are going to be going after Lord Peter Mandelson.

He is in quite hot water.
Sir Keir Starmer called him “Just Peter”

Yes but while taking bribes is a crime, so is paying them. I hope with Mandelson and the EU Commission it doesn’t become as it is with Jeffrey Epstein, found guilty of procuring for clients unknown.

I always thought Peter Mandelson’s friendship with Peter Palumbo, another life peer (although in Palumbo’s case his father was also a life peer, and, guess what, a friend of “Prince” Charles before he became “king”) was interesting.

Palumbo owned the Ministry of Sound nightclub.

I think we all know what’s sold in nightclubs.

The Epstein files are causing mayhem among many rich people.

Borge Brende, the president and CEO of the World Economic Forum, WEF has resigned on Thursday.

A horrifying account of how EU sanctions are violating the human rights of a reporter, a German citizen in Germany. He was sanctioned for reporting on Gaza and pro-Palestinian demonstrations.

It is important that such violations be exposed.

Why is the talk, especially from the WEF about Net Zero gone silent?
Rich people can make a mint out of Net Zero, just look at Elon Musk.
Maybe the next big think that the WEF want us to put up with is Data Center.
Data Center use large amounts of Electricity.
Mad Milliband wants us to be 95% Vet Zero on our Electricity supply in three and a half years time but this will not be possible if we do what Sir Keir Starmer wants, to make us the AI center for Europe.
                    The two things are opposed.
Starmer has said he would rather be attending a meeting of the WEF in Switzerland than being in Britain.
I wonder what they get up to after the Data Center talks, quietens down in the night time, makes you wonder how these rich people party?

AI is already causing mayhem. RAM prices have quadrupled (or worse) in the last 6-8 months thanks to the big AI companies buying up all the RAM manufacturing capacity from the three companies that make it. What might have cost £100 now costs £400-500 if you can get it at all. This is driving up the costs of all computing devices that require RAM and/or Solid state storage. Phones, laptops, computers basically anything that requires memory and storage.

You are correct Michael, the energy requirements of all these data centres and AI compute are insane. It’s the new arms race and will be pursued relentlessly and ruthlessly. Trillions are being spent on it. All the big tech firms are putting all their resources into it. Those firms are mostly American though not all.

Net zero as a concept is fine. Energy generation should not add greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. It’s the implementation of the policy that’s nuts and far behind.

Sir Keir Starmer, bit by bit, is bringing the U.K. into the American – Iranian war.
He is going to be sending HMS Dragon a Type 45 Destroyer to the eastern Mediterranean, maybe next week or the week after, mainly to cover Greece/Cyprus/Israel/Jordan/Egypt and the Suez Canal.
Today he has announced four Typhoon aircraft to The Middle East.
Starmer is also now allowing the U.S.A. to use our bases, such as Cyprus and Diego Garcia.
I think there has been some theatre between Donald Trump and Sir Starmer.
I think all along Starmer was allowing the Yanks to use Diego Garcia.
An Iranian Destroyer has been holed and sank off the coast of Sri Lanka, probably that submarine came from Diego Garcia?

U.S.A. submarine sinks Iranian Destroyer near Sri Lanka, killing and maiming many.
                                https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2026/03/04/us-sank-iranian-ship-named-qasem-soleimani/88987170007/

So, it is one thousand miles from Diego Garcia military base to the area the Iranian vessel was sunk.

I think, in this instance, you are being a little harsh on Starmer. British involvement in this illegal war is opposed by The Greens, the Lib Dems and Labour. In the recent “leak” from the National Security meeting your mate, Ed Milliband opposed allowing the US to use British bases. Meantime, your other mates, The Conservatives and the Farage gang, (Reform) are besides themselves that Starmer won’t enter offensively into the war. Are you equally as critical of Badenoch and Farage? In this instance I think Starmer is making choices under a LOT of pressure from the orange moron in charge of the white house not to mention the screaming from the Daily Heil and other media.

I disagree. Personally I think they should be paid far more than this but with very strict restrictions on what work they can do when they are no longer an MP, how they can contact former colleagues and absolutely no second job whilst an MP. Also, all their contacts whilst an MP must be public. And a load more other conditions. I’d pay them 2 million a year, It’s a shit job.

Have a look at Dave’s (just have a think channel) latest video on YT [YouTube] [Invidious] Michael and give us your thoughts.

In summary, primary energy sources are statistically represented as the amount of energy contained in the volume of oil, gas coal we use. However, burning those fuels is hugely inefficient with only 25-33% of that energy being converted into useful work, the rest goes to waste as heat. Renewables, Wind, solar on the other hand are 95% efficient (or even better)at converting the energy harvested into useful work. So, whilst charts show us that 80% of the energy inputs are fossil fuels they actually only give us one third approx of that energy as useful work. So renewables being much more efficient provide a much higher proportion of useful work than the traditional charts might imply.
                                      Watch it.

I’d also point out that the orange moron in the white house has stated that USA’s goal is to control the oil/energy market/supply. Hence the actions against Iran and Venezuela recently. Countries having an independent non-fossil fuel dependent energy supply would mean such control of legacy fossil fuels would be irrelevant.

                                        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shahed_drones
The Ukrainians have developed inexpensive tech to counter Iranian Shahed tech.
Trump could not ask the Ukrainians because Trump has ditched Ukraine.
