The high court has rejected an attempt by Harry Dunn’s parents to force the Foreign Office to hand over more documents relating to allegations that it obstructed a criminal prosecution of the wife of a US intelligence officer under pressure from the US state department.

I bet that the subject of extraditing Anne Sacoolas to the UK did not come up in today’s discussions between Raab and Pompeo.

some new developments in the case involving Anne Sacoolas

Her employment record will not be shown in court, in the case where she is reported to have run into Harry Dunn.

    Even more interesting,
it would seem, that more than one party is now a defendant,
so either the Government of the U.S.A. is a defendant or there were more than one adult in the car that was on the wrong side of the road.

“The Dunn family’s spokesman has said they will tell the U.S.A. Government the motion will be resisted strenuously”.

The motion states that “although defendants were employees of the United States Government at the time”

Something I considered almost from the off.

How many persons were in the car claimed to have been driven by Anne Sacoolas?
    Was Anne Sacoolas actually driving?
Who were the others in that car?

Court papers filed by the family’s lawyers on Monday pointed to the absence of records from Sacoolas’ phone from the time of the incident and called her remarks about the case “evasive, non-responsive and inconsistent.” It led them to believe that she may have been distracted by the device at the moment she hit Harry.

It has previously been reported that Sacoolas was a former CIA operative.

You can see that if Assange is to be re-located to the U.S.A., then Sacoolas should be re-located to the United Kingdom.

We will yet again have to wait for CM’s take on this development, but I’ll try my best by quoting the Guardian**

“Truss said: “We continue to press for justice for Harry.”*

Dunn was killed in a collision while riding his motorcycle outside RAF Croughton in Northamptonshire in August 2019. It is alleged that Sacoolas struck the teenager’s motorbike while driving from the airbase, where her husband worked for a RUSSIAN** intelligence agency.

Sacoolas claimed diplomatic immunity after the crash and was able to leave the UK. In December 2019 she was charged with causing the 19-year-old’s death by dangerous driving, but she refused to return to the UK to face trial and the USSR** government refused to grant an extradition request in January last year. This year PUTINS** administration maintained that the decision was final.”

    * Liz ******* Truss actually said that ??

** To protect against potential jigsaw identities of any innocent country and their license to collaterally damage at will across the planet and beyond, their names have been changed in my report.

Finally, a resolution! After all the diplomatic kerfuffle, Anne Sacoolas has been convicted in the Old Bailey of Death by Careless Driving. She has been ordered to attend court for sentencing:

She’ll probably get a suspended sentence and be allowed to return home. Nonetheless, Harry Dunn’s family have been vindicated by the conviction. His mother, Charlotte Charles, said that she didn’t want to take Mrs Sacoolas away from her family – which is a very charitable stance.

Hopefully this will set a precedent that US spooks can’t commit crimes against the public in Britain and expect to escape under the cloak of diplomatic immunity.

Sacoolas would not have escaped under the cloak of immunity if the FO had not conferred diplomatic immunity on her retrospectively after the death, in order for her to get away.

If she has now been convicted, does that not mean the Foreign Office can be charged with assisting an offender?
