They got the wrong person 512

There are many thousands of people imprisoned in Uzbekistan alone who should not be imprisoned and who suffer much worse conditions than even the genuine horrors of Wandsworth being visited on Julian Assange. But the Assange case has implications for ever deteriorating Western freedoms which should not be overlooked.

Then there are many war criminals who ought to be in jail and who are not. Most prominent of these are Bush, Blair, Cheney, Straw and their crew. A minor figurewho ought to be in jail is Anna Ardin. Here are two tweets she published after being “raped” by Julian Assange:

‘Julian wants to go to a crayfish party, anyone have a couple of available seats tonight or tomorrow? #fb’

‘Sitting outdoors at 02:00 and hardly freezing with the world’s coolest smartest people, it’s amazing! #fb’

She subsequently deleted and tried to expunge those. I doff my hat to Rixstep:

For another avowed feminist trying to bring Assange down, analyse the use of language in this article by the Guardian’s useless Helen Piddle. For a worm like her to use words like bizarre and raggle-taggle in relation to John Pilger really defies rationality.

    I had a pal from Wexford. Used to play rebel songs all the way in the car to the ferry in N.Wales.

    One of the most beautiful songs he played was Boulavogue. Like Fr. Murphy I went up The Rocks when we got there.

    Got down to Enniscorthy too and fished the Slaney.

    If you don’t like this one then we can never agree on anything.

    RIP and get back to your coffin!

    Clark, I’m fine thanks.

    I’d give you the link, only there’s nothing there. I just have the domain and the option on a hosting account.

    I had a website there since about 2003. I designed it and did all the html myself (was quite proud of it!) but then I got tired of the design, and thought the contents were even more tired, so I took it down a while ago. But I kept the domain, and can put something up there anytime. I just need to put in the work.

    Freeborn,

    I love Boulavogue. I sing it often at parties. I have a couple of guitars.

    Prostate and BornFree

    Did you guys go overboard with the garlic? Seems like Prostate drove a stake through the heart of the Hasbara vampire.

    They’ve bunked off to their coffin- bunkers all over Haifa and Tel Aviv.

    Didn’t they marshal their arguments well and all those links they posted to support their arguments….GCSE re-sits or what?

    I still can’t make my mind up whether they’re shills or just plain dumb. Reckon it’s BOTH!

    Devastating they were not!

    With friends like this the Zionists ought to start worrying.

    All we need now is for Cathouse Larry to turn up!

    Thank you Mark! It’s such a lovely melody … perfect for the uilleann pipes.

    I’m off to watch a film.

    I’m a paying subscriber to Media Lens. Is now a bad time to mention it? 😉

    @dreoilin – I don’t think Assange did disappear from the Time ‘person of the year’ list. There was a meme circulating on Twitter that this was the case, but it cited as evidence a URL for ‘the most influential person ever’ list, or something like that – something totally different. I think the meme has stopped circulating on Twitter now, but across a wider internet it persists.

    “I’ve noticed that often when I make a comment tony_opmoc lets forth directly or almost directly. I wonder what I say stirs him so.”

    Maybe it’s the time of day you post. Need to know when Tony’s sober. Though it could be Tony’s the opmoc derivative of the post-modern language generator, which gets turned on when anyone says anything with a tendency contrary to Craig’s NWO message. Just feed in a few keywords, “fuck”, “unix”, “last night” “my wife”, etc. and you get an authentic opmoc post.

    Clark wants Craig as world dictator. Good grief. I had hopes of Clark at one time.

    And Jon is a subscriber to MediaLens along with the Jewish Nazi George Soros.

    Is there anyone sane here? Is there anyone here at all? Or is this a hall of distorting mirrors.

  • LOL

    Talking of the Nazi Jew Soros, everyone note he owns the Avaaz site where everyone here is signing a pro-Assange petition.

    Here’s what one Canadian has to say about Soros and Avaaz:

    “One of his front groups, called Avaaz, is lobbying to stop Sun Media’s license for a TV news channel. Soros doesn’t know anything about Canada ?” Avaaz called the Sun newspapers the “Suncor newspapers” ?” but we’re his latest toy.

    “Avaaz is sending a petition to Canada’s TV regulator, the CRTC, claiming that thousands of Canadians want to censor the Sun and keep it off the air.

    “The petition is a fraud ?” it’s an Internet petition, and anyone can sign anyone else up without their permission. Fake names are permitted, and so are foreign citizens. And the whole campaign is run out of New York.

    “Do you think Soros should determine what you can watch on TV? Do you think that decision should be made in New York? Is our freedom of speech just another trinket for him to buy and sell?

    “Hasn’t Soros silenced enough voices in his life?”

    http://www.pugetsoundradio.com/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl?m-1283644414/

    LOL. Well sick LOL. And he helped kill his own mother.

    LOL/Alfred: I thought the claim that Soros financed Media Lens had been debunked. The editors emailed one subscriber who asked about this, saying they know of no such connection, and asked for links or evidence. AFAIK, none came. If you know of more material on this, please post it – genuine ML supporters would be interested, I think.

    There is a danger, of course, in finding (or hoping to find) nefarious connections for every lobby group or NGO. In the end, one can become paranoid and offer no practical or financial support to anyone. My view is that you have to gather lots of evidence, read plenty, and take a balanced view. I think Media Lens are worth a punt, and their hearts are in the right place. I am not sure I have read anything that they’ve done that would cast positive light on billionaire financiers, in any case!

    I don’t think Clark was serious about having anyone as a world dictator. Craig would probably be a better candidate than most though, but then if capitalism was run exclusively by honest liberals, there would be no need for anti-capitalists.

    As far as I know, I am quite sane. But to be sane in a mad world, well…

  • Jon

    Lol/Alfred,

    I am unimpressed by your defence of sock-puppetry. It may be used by the likes of the banned troublemakers on this board as evidence that sock-puppetry is acceptable. Choose a handle and stick to it, is my advice. Otherwise it just looks like you’re trying to garner fake support for your views.

    I didn’t find Dreoilin’s statement to be sly, nor was “Royalist” intended to suggest you would prefer absolute rule by a monarchy. You have made some +extremely+ contentious statements here, including statements that some people find racist (whether or not you support the use of the word), and you support the BNP. You are welcome to have any views you please, but you can’t have contentious views and then expect people not to call you out on them.

    Suhayl is one of the most reasoned and knowledgeable commentators here, and he rarely loses patience with people. He is sometimes criticised for being too nice. But your views, and your support for the BNP, seem liable to make you say things that appear easily discriminatory on racial grounds. It is disconcerting, given the number of people in the world who have died as a result of racism and racist policy, and the complaints you receive may be a reflection of people’s awareness of that. I don’t see that as ‘left-wing bigotry’.

    Craig is well prepared to defend his views, in my experience, and he is giving an honest account of his own views when he comments on 9/11. He may be right or wrong, and you are free to disagree with him.

    If you want to read The Guardian do so.

    You’re on the internet now and that’s a precious world library some of us use to find out what makes the world tick.

    Stick your controlled media somewhere nasty won’t you?

    You numpty!

    Jon said:

    “But your views, and your support for the BNP”

    Hey fuck off. I never said I supported the BNP, I said

    (a) the BNP was the only party that I was aware of that advocated immediate withdrawal of British troops from Afghanistan, and that I supported their policy on that.

    Don’t you?

    and (b)

    I said repeatedly, that I believe that the BNP is most likely a security services operation with the following aims,

    (i) to discredit the call for British withdrawal from the EU;

    (ii) to discredit the call for British withdrawal from the US war for global hegemony;

    (iii) to discredit those who seek to preserve Britain’s tradition of constitutional monarchy as a bulwark against authoritarianism;

    (iv) to discredit those who seek further devolution of power in the UK including the creation of an English national assembly;

    (v) to discredit those who seek to create an economic framework within which British people make shoes and shirts and most other things for one another instead of living off the crumbs from the bankers tables while depending on cheap Chinese crap to meet their material needs.

    So where do you stand Jon?

    Suhayl said:

    “Absolutely, Jon”

    And you think LOL is an inappropriate pen name for this wacko blog? LOL

    Suhayl is a liar. He calls me a racist and then when I ask for the slightest scrap of evidence he says he can’t be bothered.

    Well I have to say he’s a total arse hole, and I’m damned if I see why I should bother to say why.

    LOL

    The above LOL at December 12, 2010 10:03 PM was not me.

    But it does not surprise me that I am now being impersonated. Character assassination seems to be the chief form of argument employed by CM groupies.
