Yes Scotland Meetings 818

Confirmed speaking dates at the moment are
26 August St Andrews
28 August Insch
29 August Dundee
30 August Cupar, Fife

I will post details of times and venues shortly – these are all evening events. I am still open to invitations on dates around these, and indeed any daytime events. Don’t mind dashing all over the place. A number are in the pipeline already. Contact me using the button at top of page.

Have been rather unwell the last couple of days, so please forgive lack of regular posts. BBC Hardtalk interview with Anders Fogh Rasmussen of NATO made me feel much worse. Totally incapable of acknowledging the disasters NATO and NATO members have inflicted on the world since the collapse of the Soviet Union – and the BBC totally incapable of serious questioning on the point.

No, but you seem to be

Shoot the questions and drive by, you never answered “who are they”?

    ====

Has anyone noticed the way the medjia is silencing the voice of James Foley?

  • Tim

By “they” I referred back to the subject of your final sentence “the forces of reaction are far too comfortable with their ancient arrangements, and will spare no effort or expense to perpetuate the rule of the inept plutocrats and oligarchs for eternity, if they can help it.”

“Read the McCrone Report, buried for 30 years.

    __________________

This us not the first time that this report has been cited in here (perhaps by you, perhaps by others as well).

    Just a couple of points/questions:

1/. It may have been “buried”, but – because you cite and link to it – it is obviously now in the public domain. That is, well in time for the referendum.

2/. I suspect that commenters on here often attempt to play a fast one by citing sources which, on closer examination, turn out to be rather more nuanced (to put it mildly) than the commenter claims; the commenters in question probably rely on the fact that most people will not bother to read the link/source in detail.

In that connection, why do you not set out briefly the key findings and conclusions of that report? Is it perhaps because you fear that it will not back up your position?

    3. The report is, you say, 30 years old. As a general remark, I can recall various reports of that period – and even before – the conclusions of which have been comprehensively invalidated subsequently. They include reports forecasting that oil reserves would have run out by now, that various minerals would have run out by now, and that the main problem for workers in the 21st century would be how to occupy themselves in their free time since, thanks to mechanisation and computerisation, the working week would have been reduced to around 15 hours for most people.

    Over to you.

How many of the 20-odd Eminences who regularly gush on this blog have been persecuted or otherwise harassed politically, economically or socially (or in any other way)?

    Hands up, anyone?

The two-day protest at UAV Engines Ltd in Shenstone began on 6 August and forced the closure of the factory. The protest took place at UAV Engines Ltd in Shenstone on 6 August Nine people have appeared in court charged with aggravated trespass after a rooftop protest in Staffordshire.

Four men and five women did not enter a plea when they appeared before Cannock magistrates earlier. They are from Sussex, Surrey, London and Manchester.

They were bailed and are due to appear in court again on October 6. UAV makes engines for unmanned aerial vehicles.

“FRED On the 24th of February Sir Ian Wood, published a report, claiming there were around 24 billion barrels of oil left in the North sea,”

No he didn’t, he said it had been estimated there are between 12 and 24 billion barrels of oil equivalent on the UK continental shelf. It’s because the Nationalists have been telling porkies and claiming he said Scotland would definitely have 24 bn boe in their waters he has made this statement.

    God you are dishonest.

Foley’s killing was “barbaric and shocked the world”, said Obama (the corporate media).

The murder of 432 children in Gaza was “barbaric”, but Obama didn’t use that word to describe it and so, consequently, neither did the corporate media.

Photos circulating online of John MacCain meeting the leader of ISIS last year. He also met the Kiev Nazis last year. The plot thinnens.

  • mike

PS Sorry, the murder of 432 children was “foolish” according to Paddy Ashdown.

Just so we know how to feel about both events.

  • Fedup

Beck said he got involved in an “ill-advised intellectual exercise,” using “extremely poor judgment,” that became a “psychological obsession,” a kind of “tic.” It was a particular “error in judgment” to use the university’s computers. His aim, he claimed in one email, was “to gauge how pervasive anti-Semitism really was on websites like CD.”

Yeah the expression is “my foot”. This is all stemming from the supremacist drivel drilled into the minds of these characters who find “deceiving” the goyem cattle as a sign of superiority an “intellectual exercise”. I have come across these in may forum, they also have their “out reach” sending various characters to engage in zersetzung.

Pathetic specimens totally deluded and lost up their own orifices, but that is part of being “chosen” I suppose.

  • Dave Lawton

    @Ben “Any Welsh posters here?”

Yes Ben. I shall try and get them sectioned into a lunatic asylum, specially Anders Fogh Rasmussen.

    @Habba

“How many of the 20-odd Eminences who regularly gush on this blog have been persecuted or otherwise harassed politically, economically or socially (or in any other way)?”

The answer is of course none but they all think they have – and then they accuse those who think differently of cognitive dissonance.

We also have not a few signs of delusion or is it juts poor geography e.g.
“when the North Atlantic (i.e. Scotland) leaves NATO?”

  • Fedup

Don’t you find the “intellectual contortions” to keep the great unwashed on board and direct them to take on board the “correct message” at times borders black humour?

The fact that the Syrian “Taliban” (that used to be the old label), then re branded as iSIS and recently a much more direct “IS” (note the Islamic associations) and then portrayed as the epitome of Muslims, in the way of clearing the way for more of the same nostrum as before; bomb them back to stone age.

McCain is the gofer for the US plutocrats, and he has been frequenting Syria meeting the “resistance” which of course are the same bunch of mercenaries trained in Jordan and then injected into Syria and now Iraq.

As Jim Muir bbc correspondent in Iraq put it; “iSIS now IS fighters have been using the captured equipment to stunning accuracy”.

The “captured” of course is designed to denote the unwilling Iraqi soldiers who leave their equipment at the first shot and take off to their respective villages (ie we need to go and invade Iraq again), all the while covering up the arming of the well trained mercenaries by the same trainers (ie we need to spend even more money buying arms to send to Kurds in Iraq to protect the assets belonging to a handful few).

  • Resident Dissident

    @Mary

“I know exactly why I was selected for your channelling of me. Because of my support for the Palestinians.”

Before you get carried away with your paranoia might I suggest you do a little hard analysis of what particular elements of your many postings you get responses to before dreaming up ulterior motives.

  • mike

Black humour? Yes, Fedup. That’s the way I now react to these PR stunts. It’s the only response that keeps one sane.

ISIS is a proxy force for legitimising US/UK targeting of Syria and, thus, Iran. A byproduct is being able to influence which proto-dictator runs Iraq.

You are just a ignorant arrogant prick .Your statements are static and gather dust. You should
look at the history of the 1960`s Counter-culture before you engage your brain.

OK, here’s your task for tomorrow : please set out succinctly, by tomorrow evening, the main findings and conclusions of the McCrone report on Scottish oil.

Shouldn’t be too onerous for you as you’re obviously well-acquainted with it?

Thanks in advance (also on behalf of your fello-Yessers)

  • Ben

Havasack; You aren’t his Teacher, or anyone else here, except maybe RD and therein lies the question; which of you is pupil? He seems to have understood his creaky credibility doesn’t fly very well as he makes fewer lobs at others, and when he does it’s rather limp. You on the other hand, proceed as though in an opium dream. If the pupil recognizes the reality before the Teacher, then there is no further need for your services.

  • Ben

Obama looked angry today as he talked about ISIS. The talkinghead said he showed how much feeling he has. But why was there no public expression of feeling for others in past weeks over the beheadings in the thousands, heads piked on fences endlessly in city squares? Why was he so exercised over the murdered journalist? Why when Obama talked about MH17 in the early stages when literally nothing was known except hundreds were dead, did he say ‘We waiting to see if this was a tragedy’.

Why, why, why…..because of Nationalism and Patriotism. You see it’s not a tragedy if no Americans died on MH17. It’s not a tragedy if beheadings occur every minute, but if an American is beheaded there will be Hell to pay.

    Nationalism is a terrible thing.

    Habbabkuk,Kempe,Resident Dissident,Fred..

    You troll fools.

You fell into the trap i baited for you.

The fact you were all so predictably quick to dismiss my support of Guano’s spying claims is as good as panicked confirmation of the reality of this horrific phenomenon.

You really are thick troll fuckers.

  • Jives

    Kempe,

Your denial tells me everything about you and is as good a confirmation of my post as i need.

Hasbara is the cyber equivalent of gangstalking.

    You are a troll Kemps.

You parrot your line managers opinions for money.

  • Jives

    For example:

Standard surveillance squad: 8 individuals in 8 hour shifts 24/7.

5 or 6 more back at HQ manning the computers for text/phone realtime data/metadata analysis 24/7.

    Thats alotta people.

Some of these ops last years.

Ive not even mentioned the low-level useful idiots they employ as auxilliary freaks to play games on the street with you.

When you see the basic nuts and bolts of even a standard op one can begin to see how 30 can actually look like a conservative figure.

Am i right or am i right Roderick Russell?

Lovin the fact that this has really riled the trolls.

Seems like they panic when one hits a truth nerve.:-)

  • Tony M

It isn’t nationalism, nationalism and patriotism can be defensive, survivalist reactions. Scotland, one of the oldest ‘nations’ in the modern world, almost erased, exemplifies that, and is back. Over on your own side of the world Ben, more and more people are choosing the good, clean and truthful path, there’s even one who’s surname is Habakkuk, David Habakkuk:

  • guano

Well, I’m flattered to be on the receiving end of so many good wishes. Thanks. Like black mould on the emulsion paint in the back bedroom, these hired stalkers hate being exposed to fresh air and disinfectant on a blog. So thanks to Craig for the exposure which he provides us to air our thoughts and thanks to the disinfectant of all your fellow support.
