Corruption Welcome in London 739

The FBI had somebody wearing a wire at the London Olympics to capture the FIFA corruption taking place in the margins. What were the British authorities doing? Nothing.

Britain prides itself as having in London the world’s leading financial centre. Substantial assets, both financial and real estate, from FIFA corruption are located in London. But Britain has taken over the crown from Switzerland as the major financial destination which will always protect ill-gotten wealth.

Alisher Usmanov played a major role as bagman for the corrupt Russian World Cup bid, particularly with delegates from FIFA’s Asian Confederation. His place as Britain’s third richest resident is very obviously based on extreme Russian corruption and he rose to power and wealth solely with the use of gangster muscle and contacts he gained and expanded while serving a prison sentence for blackmail. But he is a billionaire and beloved by the City of London so there is no danger of him ever being investigated in the UK.

That a key figure in FIFA corruption over Russia’s World Cup bid, is undisturbed in his large shareholding in Arsenal FC, says everything about the complicity of the British establishment.

Usmanov’s friend Gulnara Karimova is a startling example. She is now under formal investigation in Switzerland, France, Sweden and the Netherlands over the glaringly corrupt origins of her billions. Only a fake house arrest by her father has prevented her real arrest. Yet in the UK, where she has three homes including one in the No.1 Hyde Park criminals’ hangout, where she shops regularly and her son is at university, there is no move against her whatsoever.

I am delighted to see the moves against FIFA. But to me they illustrate very plainly what a corrupt stinking hole London has become.

Is “Londoner” yet another manifestation of “English Knight”, latterly known as “Really”?

    If so: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

“It would be delighted if someone would explain to readers the *mechanics* of those two theories, in particular in the light of the identity/nationality of the persons arrested. In other words, in which way exactly (eg, in terms of voting, etc..) would those arrests bring about the results which the conspiracy theorists claim the US is aiming to achieve.

    Any volonteers?”

    Ok, any volunteers?

I’m not a soccer fan, never was. I’m a rugby union fan (it just so happened that both my brothers played rugby, so I was attending matches in Lansdowne Road from a fairly young age) and then both my sons played. I find these things run in families, like a love of cats v dogs.

United States to nominate Ukrainian President Poroshenko for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Founder of Italian fascism, bloody dictator Benito Mussolini was nominated for the Prize in 1935.

In 1939 member of the Swedish Parliament E.G.C. Brandt nominated Adolf Hitler, who unleashed the Second World War.

Of course sarcasm died the day Henry Kissinger, received the prize.

Is the Nobel prize now tainted?

Fair enough – I’m partial to Rugby Union as well.

I’m sure no one on here will essay a detailed account of how the arrests could be considered to bring to fruition either of the alleged US objectives.

It is much easier to mutter darkly about “US conspiracies” in the most general terms ans then run for cover when someone asks the conspiracists to set out their argument in detail – especially in practical detail.

Even our favorite lecturer – one Herbie – has suddenly faded into the background.

Surely even you can see from the nasty, inbred, English trolls on this blog that the English are quite nasty enough to have created the current state of affairs by themselves without any help from any injuns/wogs.

Perhaps you really are new to this blog.

Quite a while ago I was forced to point out that there are dozens (if not hundreds) of nominations for the Peace Prize every year. Almost anyone or any group or organisation can nominate almost anyone.

It follows that the great majority of the nominations are not made in the expectation that the nominee has a serious chance but, rather, as political statements.

It also follows, therefore, that it does not surprise me that both Mussolini and Hitler were nominated. After all, who has ever heard of Swedish Parliamentarian E. Brandt (either now or then for that matter)?

And now kindly fuck off. 🙂

K: people would be wrong to confuse covert operations with social work.
Sorry to repeat the utter cynicism of this nasty piece of work. It’s not tainted, if you pick it up with plastic gloves and put it in the bin yourself.

    This is quite interesting.

U.S. intelligence documents released to a government watchdog confirms the suspicions that the United States and some of its so-called coalition partners had actually facilitated the rise of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) as an effective adversary against the government of the Syrian dictator President Bashar al-Assad.

In addition, ISIS members were initially trained by members and contractors of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) at facilities in Jordan in 2012. The original goal was to weaken the Syrian government which had engaged in war crimes against their own people.

Two F16 jets were shot down over Yemen this month When the wreckage was examined, both were found to be of types never supplied to an Arab nation, not Saudi Arabia, nor anyone.

The only “buyer” in the region for that type of plane is Israel.

Analysis of the wreckage showed those planes to be of unknown origin. While they carried Saudi paint jobs, they couldn’t be Saudi aircraft and in fact were Israeli aircraft flown by Arabic speaking Israeli Airforce pilots.

UN envoys wants IDF on blacklist with Islamic State

Israel pressuring UN chief Ban not to include it in list – which also includes al-Qaeda, Boko Haram and the Taliban – of organizations or countries that regularly cause harm to children.

UN is also facing heavy pressure from the Palestinians, their supporters and human rights organizations to include the Israeli army on the list. Palestinians also benefit from the support of senior officials in the UN Secretariat, who are urging Ban not to give in to Israeli pressure. A senior UN official even claimed in a letter to Ban that Israeli representatives threatened her and her friends so that the IDF is not included on the list.

Who will they be arresting for this one?

If I were an American taxpayer, after reading this I’d be pretty pissed off at my government.

Israel is hoping to receive $4.2-$4.5 billion a year in military aid from the United States for ten years, to counter the threat from Iran and oil-rich Middle East states that have been re-arming rapidly, a senior Israeli source has told Defence News

Under a 10-year deal signed in 2007, Israel receives just over $3 billion a year in American aid, with stipulations that over 70 percent of that aid has to be spent buying US military hardware.

An extension of that agreement, running to 2028, was principally agreed on by Barack Obama during a visit to Israel in 2013, but according to Haaretz, talks on its terms have been “preliminary and unofficial.

Among the purchases to be covered by the new deal are supplies of the V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft, which the US has refused to export to any other country, as well as up to 75 fifth-generation F-35 joint strike fighters, whenever they overcome their teething troubles.

The US also provides technology, parts and rockets for Israel’s missile defense systems such as the Iron Dome and Arrow 3.

God help the poor souls in Palestine, when the military state of Israel upgrades at the expense of the American taxpayer.

The Scotsman: Trident safety probe finds no safety issues:

CONCERNS about Trident raised by Royal Navy submariner William McNeilly were either incorrect, the result of misunderstanding or based on historic events, and safety has not been compromised, Defence Secretary Michael Fallon has said.

Mr Fallon said a Ministry of Defence (MoD) investigation into claims made by Able Seaman McNeilly has found that neither the operational effectiveness of Trident nor the safety of the public or submariners have been compromised.

    Is anybody reassured?

New surveillance laws will give the police and security services unprecedented powers, the government has announced.

The new Investigatory Powers Bill, announced in the Queen’s speech, will include not only the previously blocked snooper’s charter but also measures for additional bulk interception of communications under warrant.

The Queen said the new bill would modernise the law on communications data”, although such a wide-ranging expansion of surveillance powers had not been expected. The government said the new legislation would provide police and intelligence agencies with the tools” to keep people safe.

    Tools to keep people safe..hmm..

A strange pun on words, which when decoded really means we are eroding your privacy and your rights.

    It’s fairly straightforward.

FIFA has been completely corrupt since the 1990s, as have many other organisations and individuals.

Security agencies will have been observing this corruption, making notes for future use.

Cometh the hour, they pull out the notes and use them to undermine the organisation, with the intention of bending it to their will.

They do the same thing with all manner of errant rogues.

    It’s how they control them.

They’re not interested in the corruption per se. They’re only interested in how they might use it.

    Basic spook MO.

It’s how the paedophile scandal works as well. In the past it was homosexuality.

    This is so basic.

Happy to answer any further questions later.

First, who says that the nasty trolls on this blog are either inbred or English. Probably they’re some of Crass Sunshine’s agents of cognitive infiltration operating from a boiler room somewhere in Virginia, or possibly Israel.

Second, the suggestion that the English propagate corrupt billionaires the way the Russians and the Uzbeks do is simply crass Anglophobic racism.

And anyways, third, Craig’s not talking about the English who have been largely eradicated from London and other great English cities. It’s precisely the dirty injuns/wogs who you exclude from all blame, that Craig is talking about.

True enough, but I think they do more than observe corruption. I think they also promote and foster it.

Dave Lawton had a point above, namely lets see if the FIFA expose opens up other doors and other investigations. The Shadow World: inside the global arms trade by Andrew Feinstein is a shocking read. Well maybe not for some of you cynics here, but it raised my eyebrows a few times. It makes the FIFA bungocracy look like a children’s game, kinda like football.

Amid the full pomp and circumstance of the all the Queen’s horses and all the Queen’s men, police surround a quiet and peaceful man and arrest both him and a friend of his “to prevent a breach of the peace”.

The sole reason seems to be because he is carrying, but not openly displaying, a small piece of cardboard bearing a protest message about austerity.

The Tory threat to opt out of Human Rights seems to have been pre-empted by this ‘thought police’ action today in Parliament Square.

Your rights are stealthly being eroded,if you don’t take a stance now it could be to late to do so later.

Watch the man being man handled by police, his crime, you tell me.

It’s how the paedophile scandal works as well. In the past it was homosexuality.

And presumably, when the loony liberal-left has made condemnation of paedophilia a hate crime, the security services will promote cannibalism among those they need to control.

I am a footy fan of 50+ years standing. I watched the pro game live at my favourite stadium in the old days. Before it became corrupted by all the money. Before Rupert effin Murdoch sunk his poisonous talons in. Those days seem so innocent now. And I still watch now despite the dirty digger with his dirty money. Old habits and all that..

I have observed the detail of world, and european, and british, footy governance arrangements over the decades, with many like minded contemporaries.

And I can say with certainty that it has been an open secret, for literally decades, that FIFA and EUFA are both corrupt to the core. The corruption existed well before Blatter; it has probably existed ever since the game became professional. The main change over the years has been the ever increasing amount of money involved. Meaning that the rake offs have been larger and larger. Certainly everyone who cared to look knew about the corruption.

Is any professional sport any different? I doubt it myself. The 2 biggest money pots are football and the Olympics. No coincidence then that these are the 2 that are mired in everlasting corruption.

So there is nothing new in any of this.

So the big question for me is: why clamp down now?

What impertinence for the US to lead a clampdown when they have a million better corruption targets back at home. They don’t even follow football there in any serious way.

There must be a political explanation. Nothing else makes sense.

The Israel angle feels like a red herring to me. Who cares what Israel has to say about footy. Or what footy has to say about Israel. They are no-marks in the footy world.

The fact that the next World Cup is due to be played in Russia is the key for me. The attack on Russia by the West is multi-faceted and relentless. Seems that FIFA has become a geopolitical pawn as well.

If FIFA is reformed as a result then all the better. But I doubt it will be because it is a private organisation. FIFA is beyond the direct control of any government. High and mighty US included. They will simply elect or appoint new “clean” officials.

The BBC will make the unemployed and low-paid workers compete against each other for a cash prize in a controversial Hunger Games-type show to find “Britain’s Hardest Grafter”.

Only the UK’s lowest-paid workers will be invited to compete to “show their worth” in the reality show, capitalising on the trend for “poverty porn” established by the Channel 4 series, Benefits Street.

Applications for Britain’s Hardest Grafter, which will be screened on BBC2, are limited to those currently earning less than £15,500 per year.

Trust the state broadcaster,to come up with a game show that demonises the poor.

The poor unassuming souls won’t realise that the BBC will be using them as a whipping rod aimed at the poor.

Our security services seem to be able to do what they like with data (therefore privacy, therefore identity), or will be if the legislation goes through unchanged. If Labour had tried to bring in such totalitarian legislation, they would have been – rightly – accused of behaving like East Germany.

When did “big brother” become a good thing?

Well asked Lysias. Why should we feel unsafe protected by a nuclear museums piece. No, everything is ok ,move on, nothing to see here….

Thanks for the link Fed up, this won’t matter here once the HRA has been replaced with a bill of rights, would it, the IDF has been as good as the SS, so why not join this club of illustrious rogues, everyone love’s a rogue, don’t they Habby? especially you.

Unwarranted scaremongering,or another step towards a big brother state, what do you think?

Economist Martin Armstrong claims there is a “secret meeting to end cash” set to take place in London before the end of the month involving representatives from the ECB and the Federal Reserve.

Armstrong, who is known for successfully predicting the 1987 Black Monday crash as well as the 1998 Russian financial collapse, expressed his shock that no news outlet has reported on this upcoming conference.

“I find it extremely perplexing that I have been the only one to report of the secret meeting in London. Kenneth Rogoff of Harvard University, and Willem Buiter.

The Chief Economist at Citigroup, will address the central banks to advocate the elimination of all cash to bring to fruition the day when you cannot buy or sell anything without government approval,” writes Armstrong.
