Rifkind and Straw: Guilty as Hell but Broke No Rules 57

It is evidence of what a sewer Westminster is, that the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner has ruled that Straw and Rifkind broke no rules. The BBC and Sky are full of smug reporters telling us the two are “vindicated”.

They are not vindicated, they are disgusting.

What is revealed is that it is absolutely the norm for Tory and Blairite MPs to be firmly in the pockets of corporations, looking after corporate interests and receiving huge slabs of cash. Straw and Rifkind were just behaving like greedy grasping unprincipled bastards within the rules. How is that a vindication?

“Not you Fedup. Sorry. The commenter Jemand.”

A bit rich, coming from ‘Stormfront Mary’ who never fails to protest personal insults while dishing out ad hominem ad nauseum sans ironium.

  • Mary

    Jemand mentions Stormfront.

Wonder what he knows about the falsification some time back when a comment was put on that website (which I have never looked at or had dealings with) in my name, presumably in an attempt to smear me?

Note the description of racist is not contested.

  • fedup

Thanks Mary for clarification and the heads up.

As you can see this specimen can turn on a dime and unconsciously drivel in any direction on any subject. However its racist hatred plastered in every thread is there for everyone to witness.

Strange that anon or whatever is not making any effort here today. Instead jemand character has been manning the threads. Coincidence? More to the point laying the anon chachter low until the next time.

Straw and Rifkind have been terribly wronged, according to the report.
They have now, it would appear, been fully absolved from any wrong doing.
Yet they have these terrible stains on their characters from such bias reporting – lol.

Should they not do the decent thing and stand up against these bullies ?
Given how they have been wronged by the media, surely they should go to the courts to obtain redress ?
Given how strongly they feel about their shoddy treatment, it would be an easy matter to obtain damages ?

But they aren’t going to do that, are they. That would bring everything to the public eye again. And they would be doubly judged : by the public and by the courts.

£60,000pa from ED & F Man Ltd. Payment of £15,000 for quarter ended Dec 2014 registered. From Dec 2014 until he left in May 2015 nothing is recorded. Did they suddenly stop paying him? I think not.

To think money donated to Medical Aid for Palestinians was spent on getting him to Israel last year is disgusting. He was ‘fact finding’. I am sure the cause for justice for the Palestinians was advanced not one inch.

He certainly did a lot of travelling and collected loads of lolly. Not a lot of time for his constituency?

So I’ll be happy to tell you, Miss Clack. It’s posters who whine about the unfairness of other posters’ ad hominem attacks on them, while handing out ad hominems like the original Miss Clack distributing religious tracts. Got it yet?

The above – from Mary, of course – shows how little she really knows about anything.

Foreign Ministers (and not only Foreign Ministers) from all EU member state constantly lobby the Commision on all sorts of questions.

The same Foreign MNinisters (and not only Foreign Ministers) also spend time lobbying foreign govts.

It’s a normal and important part of their job, you “fucking fool” (to quote Robert Conquest).

    [re: refugees]

“When are the EU leaders going to make decisions? Winter is approaching.”

I doubt there is any EU ‘leader’ who has ever had the experience of a day feeling like a tortuous week, and a week feeling like a hellish month, and a month feeling like an eternal hell.

They are always well insulated from the cold of winter (and all other discomforts).

So they are completely devoid of any sense of physical urgency.

(Needless to say, empathy never even registers as a blip on their radar screens).

  • DavidH

Disgusting behavior by Straw and Rifkind, for sure. But what makes for a sensational media story and what makes for a good prosecution case are entirely different things. For very good reason, you can’t entrap somebody with promises of reward and then prosecute them for agreeing to do something wrong, or boasting of what they’ve done in the past. You need solid evidence of past activity that breaks a specific law, or a solid confession freely given. Any attempt to dilute those requirements for prosecution, as in some “terrorist” cases, should be strongly resisted. Still, these two are deservedly guilty in the court of public opinion, I guess.

“When are the EU leaders going to make decisions? Winter is approaching.”

Given that the leadership of the EU is comprised mainly of timeservers/retreads/failed politicians whose mandate is to seek consensual fudges at all costs, that is hardly surprising Mary. I predict that next weeks’ attempts to paper over the cracks on the migration issue will be as unsuccessful as ever.

In the West we have Merkel inviting the world to Germany (and seriously pissing off her CSU partners in the process), Lord Ashdown ringing his hands about the failure of the UK to follow in her footsteps, while simultaneously the Eastern members one by one pull up their respective drawbridges.

Meanwhile, down the Dunube, and east of the Oder, opinions such as this are the mainstream-

    http://hungarytoday.hu/news/useful-idiots-west-creation-chaos-mass-migration-adam-topolansky-65421

Even if the EU had leaders of the requisite quality, they’d be unable to bridge the differences of outlook between its Eastern and Western member states.

  • Frazer

Are you surprised ? It ain’t what you know, it’s who you know ! Straw obviously knows where the bodies are buried, so he is off scot free !

And whilst defending toe rags like Straw and Rifkind, the MSM continue to crucify a truly decent politician, Jeremy Corbyn, who in the 2009 expenses scandal was found to have put in the least amount of expenses among all MP’s.
The MSM ‘Presstitutes’ are as sick as the crooks they promote.

‘He worked summers as a researcher for Blair while reading PPE at Balliol, Oxford, and was later a policy adviser in No 10. In 2001 he was elected MP for Stalybridge and Hyde and tore through high-profile jobs — including Culture Secretary and Secretary of State for Work and Pensions. His blemish-free record came to a devastating end with his resignation and attempted political assassination of Brown. Many thought Purnell was trying to trigger a coup in favour of David Miliband.’

‘He’s part of the new networkocracy. Some of his best friends are Tories, he says, and like many Blairites, he’s friends with George Osborne, the Chancellor, and “I knew David Cameron before I came here [the BBC],” he says (although they “never went on holiday” together). “In politics [it’s] actually much easier being friends with people sometimes who aren’t on your side because it’s much more contested on your side. I had lots of very good friends, Tories and Lib-Dems.”’

Do you think the MSM come here for info? 🙂

I have just noticed the four inane comments from the troll earlier that channel me. He really is obsessed.

And Ba’al (I preferred your earlier manifestation as Komodo) if I am Miss Clack (nothing like her!) are you Ezra Jennings? You really are a hypocrite calling people names and then accusing others of doing the same. I could say more.
