Planning for UK Embassy to Move to Jerusalem Post Brexit 487

UPDATE I find people need more explanation than I realised. The UK is bound by a common position under EU common foreign policy (third pillar). So until Brexit the official line must still be always given that the UK is not considering moving its Embassy. Post Brexit that restriction is lifted. What my source is saying is that secret contingency planning for a post Brexit move to Jerusalem is underway in the FCO. What I have been pressing the FCO for is an admission that planning is taking place. Obviously this is not something they would want to be public knowledge at present.

My source stated that the move is partly ideological, and partly to sweeten relationships with the USA in seeking a trade deal. My own observation is that the Tories probably think this would cause more trouble between Corbyn and the Parliamentary Labour Party, and that the Westminster classes are totally out of touch with real public opinion on Palestine, as they seldom meet anybody who does not share their extreme zionism.

ORIGINAL POST:

This information about planning being carried out in great secrecy came to me from an FCO source I had no previous contact with, so I do not know the reliability. It might even be a hoax to make me look foolish. Therefore I decided to check the story with the FCO Press Department, but I can’t get any response out of them. Not answering questions appears to be the standard British state response to independent journalists now. If this is nonsense, it would have taken the FCO two minutes just to tell me so.

So I am posting this here with the caveat that the information is not verified yet. There is much to be said on motive, both from what I was told by the source and from my own gloss, but I shall leave that until we can make more progress on validation. Obviously, I hope the posting may spur the FCO to respond, or others to corroborate the leak.

Mr Shurrup and Go Away has sent 400 more troops to Afghanistan. Sky News were on the flight. Look at the poor sods lined up in the plane. Do you remember the processions of hearses through ‘Royal’ Wootton Bassett carrying the coffins from RAF Brize Norton?.

    Sickening stuff.

‘The news that IS-K poses a threat to the UK is a worrying development and comes as 440 extra British troops arrive in Afghanistan as part of an uplift requested by Washington to tackle the threat and stabilise the country.
Sky News was the only television news organisation to fly in with the troops. The total UK commitment to Afghanistan now numbers around 1,100 personnel, the third largest behind the United States and Germany.
The small increase comes four years after British troops ended their combat mission in the country and left Camp Bastion in Helmand. The move was criticised at the time as being too soon, but the defence secretary defended it, pointing out that Afghan forces, not the international coalition, are now in charge of security across the country.’

Julian Assange’s associate cyber security expert mysteriously missing in Norway

Screenshot of Arjen Kamphuis’ Twitter page © @ArjenKamphuis / Twitter

Police in Norway are looking into the disappearance of Arjen Kamphuis, a Dutch citizen with links to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. Versions on Twitter have ranged from a hiking incident, to a secret assignment, to a CIA hit.

Kamphuis, a cyber security expert and co-author of a handbook for investigative journalists on how to keep themselves and their work safe from government spying, has been missing since August 20th, when he checked out of a hotel in the town of Bodø in northern Norway.

it sounds very bad, given the timing especially re assange. i expect to see more about this on this blog and moon of alabama.

Fascinating polling from the North of Ireland. Faced with Brexit and a a hard border with the Republic, 56% of respondents favour a united Ireland, 40% favour retaining the current position, 4% don’t know.
Just how out of touch is Snarlene Foster and her insurgent clique of dinosaur denying loonies with their political base?
If the Republic committed to setting up an NHS, it’s gotta be a done deal.
In return, the Republic gets a substantial contribution to resolving its intractable demographic imbalance of having one mega-city (in relative terms) with no geographical counter balance.

‘Russia softens up west for bloodbath it is planning in Syria’s Idlib province’:
    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/sep/01/russia-softens-up-west-for-bloodbath-planning-in-idlib-syria

Well, that’s one way of putting it! At eventually realised they would look really bad not having printing something about Russia’s warnings of an imminently expected False Flag CW attack/hoax by the West’s proxy murderous headchoppers and their PR outfit, the White Helmets, though I have still had no reply to my complaint that they were ignoring it.

Tisdall is in on the state-organised propaganda offensive started last week by Martin Chulov in the Guardian. It’s a virtual word-for-word repeat of what was claimed over East Aleppo, and turned out to be fake (ditto for Ghouta and Deraa). Very unoriginal. The question everybody’s asking themselves is whether this time the west is going to be able to wind themselves up to doing what they threatened to do so many times in the past (attempt regime change by bombing). Personally, I don’t think so – had it been doable, it would have been done before. Now it’s too late. Though our former ambo to Damascus, Peter Ford, for whom I have the greatest respect, thinks otherwise.

And what we need to ask is what is the aim? Punishment? The west has failed to convince anyone that there is a viable alternative democratic solution to the Syrian war, even if we want to believe that that was indeed the aim. Now they have proven that all they want is anything but stability in Syria.

Roland Dumas let the cat out of the bag ‘France’s Roland Dumas tells how Syria’s Destruction was planned in advance’:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWKA2ffECUg and ‘Former French Foreign Minister Roland Dumas: West was preparing attack on Syria before crisis started’: https://www.globalresearch.ca/former-french-foreign-minister-roland-dumas-west-was-preparing-attack-on-syria-before-crisis-started/5341296
But, like the ‘Elephant in the room’, the MSM and politicians ignore the fact that the cat is out of the bag.
It infuriates me that I have made about a dozen (mostly anti-war) MP’s (including Jeremy Corbyn, Tom Watson, Dianne Abbot and John McDonnell) and many others of Dumas’ testimony, but have not had ONE response, despite it’s importance re the Syria narrative.

“And what we need to ask is what is the aim? ”

Is there any great secret there? Sharp Ears was reminding us of the Oded Yinon plan the other day. It’s been the policy followed since the invasion of Lebanon in 1982. It’s a mistaken policy in my view, but Avi Shlaim shows very well how it developed, the twists and turns of policy, in his “The Iron Wall”.

The Consulate-General in Jerusalem has existed for ever, i.e. from before 1967, and is located in East Jerusalem. It is part of the policy of not recognising Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Yes I had read t before SA. So come 29th March 2019, chocks away.

‘Theresa May triggered this process on 29 March, meaning the UK is scheduled to leave at 11pm UK time on Friday, 29 March 2019. It can be extended if all 28 EU members agree, but at the moment all sides are focusing on that date as being the key one, and Theresa May has now put it into British law.31 Jul 2018.’

A Deltapoll at the weekend had Yes at 52% if brexit happens. It would be reasonable to assume a no deal brexit would have Yes at a higher percentage still.

Yes went up from 28% to 45% in the last campaign even when No voters thought that Scotland’s EU status and Holyrood’s powers were safeguarded by a No vote. So Yes will start indyref2 at 52% with Scotland undeniably being presented with an enforced EU exit and devo power grabbing.

So Putin’s popularity rating dropped below 80% to the mid-sixties for the first time after the debacle surrounding raising the pension age.

I wonder if the old Labour false messiah Gordon Brown paid Putin a visit, and advised him on pensions.

The ghastly multi millionaire disc jockey/chatterer/luxury car owner/restaurant/pub owner Chris Evans is leaving the BBC where he was paid a fortune** to join Virgin Radio. Good riddance, not that I have ever listened to Radio 2.

Virgin Radio is owned by the Wireless Group. Who owns the Wireless Group. Why that dear old wizened pensioner, Rupert Murdoch.

Republic of Scotland, the tin pot regimes you refer to are countries bullied and extorted, just as Scotland has experienced since her union with England. In the 1920’s Scotland population was +13% of the Uk’s, and steadily over time it has reduced to +8% now. Go figure.

The prospect of leaving the EU and Scotland still in a union with England fills me with a deep foreboding of bad times ahead.A snide comment above compared Scotland’s population to Yorkshire, so? A diamond is small, a lump of coal much much larger and post EU membership I foresee England as a dark lump of coal of unfair existence for many.

Finally, that the Skipals farce was accepted calmly by the populace of England, seemingly accepting what they were told, adds to the worrying prospects post-Brexit.

Signed the petition re ihra bad news proposal.

Should the NEC adopt them, the Labour party will loose a good canvasser and leaflet boar.

No way will thisber be rumbled by a vicious minority who think they can throw the Talmut at the whole membership.

Today, My Wife and I took our 2 year old Grandson to the beach. The two of them were like kids – paddling and splashing in the warm sea pools. I couldn’t keep up, so I sat down and read Craig Murray’s blog, of which someone had posted an excerpt from this – And I felt SICK.

I have enormous Respect for Thierry Meyssan. I have been following his writings for many years. All I can say about him, is that his contacts and analyses, are better than anyone else, He typically writes stuff 4-6 weeks before it happens

I am completely disgusted with the contents of this, but have no reason whatsoever to believe that it is not true. His track record is outstanding. Sure he occasionally gets stuff wrong and makes mistakes. That is because he is a human being. I would love to meet him.

    Read this and weep.

“Who wants to relaunch the war in Syria?” by Thierry Meyssan

    http://www.voltairenet.org/article202717.html

    Extract

“And yet the United Kingdom relaunched the project against Syria by preparing a false flag operation in Kafr Zita. For this purpose, specialists from the Olive company were sent to the area, and chemical weapons were moved to the governorate of Idlib. The White Helmets took 44 children, whom MI6 planned to sacrifice and blame their murder on a chemical attack by the Syrian Arab Army against the « rebels ».

MI6 organised the dissemination of this fake news in advance via the witness testimony of a small child, Hala (photo). They created a Twitter account in her name on 29 July, and about thirty medias immediately joined up, waiting for the signal (operation « Eyes on Idlib »). Among them are the BBC [1], Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty [2], BuzzFeed and The Huffington Post [3] – these are medias which knowingly participate in British war propaganda.

Simultaneously, the Pentagon deployed in the Gulf the destroyer USS The Sullivans (DDG-68) with 56 cruise missiles on board, and a В-1В strategic bomber carrying 24 AGM-158 JASSM air-ground cruise missiles on the air base of Al-Udeid in Qatar.

While the responsibility of British Prime Minister Theresa May is clearly established concerning the actions of MI6, we do not know who ordered the US military deployment.

Always paddling in the wake of London, French President Emmanuel Macron has already put forward the idea of relaunching the war, speaking before a meeting of his ambassadors in Paris. ”

interesting data point here, an alternative blog has apparently been highly downranked in a monopolistic search-engine

I have often tested Google by typing the search term aav

no inverted commas, no extended search terms, no spaces, lower case

I usually get a page of results back about Gene Therapy, Adeno-Associated Virus , Army Amphibians etc, but typically in the first page of search results which consists of eleven or twelve URL’s with a short abstract about the content, and three or four YouTube links, I get a hit for the alternative website AAV anotherangryvoice.blogspot.com, sometimes anotherangryvoice.blogspot.co.uk

the Author of the AAV website describes himself as not affiliated to any specific party, but recently the articles have been rather anti-tory and pro-Jeremy , as befits a growing number of the UK population, if we believe the polls(*)

today, with an idle few minutes I ran the ‘aav’ test again , I was shocked

Google did not return the website AAV anotherangryvoice.blogspot.com until the THIRD page of results, some twenty five or so ranks below the usual front page ranking that I have seen for the last year or so.

Cross-checking with another browser, running with maximum privacy settings, no cookies etc, I got the same result on desktop search. Looking at Google Mobile search I got the “correct” AAV blog on page two, down 15 or so points from where I would expect this.

Duck Duck Go mobile search still gives AAV low down the first page, as did https://duckduckgo.com/?q=aav&ia=web, but at least still on the front page.

Using the French browser (results in English!) https://www.qwant.com/?q=aav&t=web. this ranks the Blog as 7th in the first page, similar to the “old” Google ranking. Algorithms eh?

I must continue doing this quiet research, perhaps widening to see if Google/Slurp is also “suppressing” JReesMogg links?

Much the same for me in a test, There was a box on the top RH side:

      ‘Complementary results

      See results about

      Another Angry Voice
Another Angry Voice is a British political blog written by Thomas G. Clark, established in 2010. It has …

      Adeno-associated virus

      It wasn’t particularly prominent.
