Gove seen and photographed jogging a couple of days after declaring that he was self isolating because his daughter had symptoms suggestive of early Covid-19. Of course the ordinary Tom, Dick and Harriet would have self isolated for 14 days, even if they were ‘essential’ healthcare workers. But apparently Gove was in the clear because he has requested Whitty to allow his daughter to be tested and she was found not to have the virus so he is in the clear. So it appears that the government’s priorities for testing is politicians first, whilst healthcare workers continue to face the risks and have to self isolate.
