Afghan Farce 147

The French government has suspended training for Afghan forces after four of their troops were killed by an Afghan soldier under training. Extraordinarily, that makes eight NATO troops killed by their trainees in 2012 already. It is the most extreme example of the complete failure of the occupation to achieve any of its ostensible aims. It is not even achieving any of its hidden aims, other than the channelling of huge amounts of our money to the arms industry.

But do not worry: NATO have come up with a brilliant and effective policy response to this problem. They are suppressing statistics on NATO personnel killed or wounded by Afghan army and police personnel. So that’s alright, then.

Mark Golding – Children Of Iraq,
That is one of the reasons for taking on Syria form the start, a clear case of Qatar/US/Saudi wishful thinking.
    ,
As you already know Eric Prince having sold his firm, disappeared from the scene and set up shop in Qatar. He has been busy getting up to his old tricks, and playing Danny Dravot (Sean Connery) to Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani as in The Man Who Would Be King film.
    ,
However, to take the words of these carpet baggers and come to believe in some kind of fait accompli, would be a mistake. So far as the incident in Hormuz goes, during the recent naval manoeuvres there were enough to start four wars, if the appetite for war was there.
    ,
Why do you think this specimen; Andrew Adler, is calling for Obama’s assassination as in J.F.K fashion? Atlanta Jewish Times proprietor Andrew Adler in an op ed has advised Netanyahu;”Give the go-ahead for U.S.-based Mossad agents to take out Obama in order for the current vice president to take his place.”
    ,
The current tug of war on Syria is not likely to finish as in Libya, despite the shrill Media sound bites. This game is going to be played out for sometime yet to come.
    ,
Finally, curious that your sources have mentioned Iraq, and Turkey involvement, but not Jordan, why do you think that is Mark?

fedup – Finally what is so unearthly for being in the “know”?
    .
You didnt put it like that, it was the expression that was cheesy. Whats that i must be a dead bit under achiever? well i never…

“Afghans do use shipping containers as their homes, due to their displacement and constant bombings that have turned their original mud built homes into dust and rubble. (can’t be even be arsed to look for the images and link these, due to worth of Nuid)
    ,
Further, for some reason Nuid has it in her brain; Armies are careful spenders and take great care in spending their budgets, hence finds, the forwarded notions ridiculous. This is patently stemming from the extent of stupidity of someone who is out of it by a continent.”

    .
    Talking rubbish again.
What I found ridiculous was your comment thus:
“I also gather there are some Afghan personnel flown in and housed in or around the projects, for injecting more realism, however the stories of these guys getting stoned and drunk out of their skulls is stuff of gossip.”
    .
If you’re going to waffle, waffle on-point and stop trying to change the subject.
    .
“Some divining going on there, mystique Meg don’t get a luck in, we are not back into; you are this and that and the other are we?”
    .
Yes. Every word out of your mouth screams Passerby (and vice versa). Your terminology, your “grammar” (or lack thereof), your punctuation, your references to things that are “forwarded” here, rather than “posted” here, etc etc. Just cut it out and use one name and one name only. This has nothing to do with “ziofuckwits” whatsoever – and Jon asked you to stop using that expression, if I recall?? This has to do with sock puppetry, pure and simple.
Now I’m done with you. You’re not worth my time.

    Crab,
There you go again, you are telling me how I put it!!!!!!!!
    ,
Not that; how you took it, the fucking wrong way that is, no, nah, never, not in a months of Sundays.
    ,

  • Fedup

“references to things that are “forwarded” here, rather than “posted” here, etc etc.”
    ,
There is only one person who posts here, and that is “Craig”, the rest or us, you included, “comment” or “forward”, get your facts right, and be courteous to your host at least.
    ,
As for the rest Inspector Clouseau, you got me bang to right; I have no license for the monkey (opening scene of one of the pink panther films).
    ,

  • Karel

    Nuid

A ziofuckwit is in my opinion a beautiful expression, that quite unfortunately, has not yet made an entry into the OED. I cannot understand why you do not feel honoured to be called that way. If you can think of a more fitting description for yourself then let us know. But please watch your grammar.

Wise words from Fidel Castro. He speaks of nuclear weapons and who holds them, the threats against Iran and Afghanistan.
    .
‘Afghani President Karzai stated that the outrage committed against the bodies was “simply inhumane.” He asked for the US government “to urgently investigate the video and apply the most severe punishment to anyone found guilty in this crime.”
    .
Meanwhile Taliban spokespersons declared that “over the last ten years, hundreds of similar acts have been carried out that were not reported…”
    .
One even feels sorry for those soldiers, thousands of kilometers away from their family, friends and country, sent to fight in countries that they might not have even heard of during their school days, where they are assigned the task of killing or dying to enrich transnational companies, arms manufacturers and unscrupulous politicians who each year squander funds needed to feed and educate the uncountable millions of hungry and illiterate people around the world.
    .
Many of these soldiers, victims of the trauma suffered, end up taking their own lives.
    .
Is it an exaggeration to say that world peace is hanging by a thread?

Afghanistan is a farce because it is clear now that Osama bin Laden planned 9/11 jointly with the Zionists to give the UK and US empires a taste of their own divide and rule medicine.
To exhaust themselves with expenditure which they could not afford and unjustified violence. An alliance of the rabid rabbis and mad mullahs. The West is not just divided but seriously dismembered between humanists like Craig and racists who have lapped up the Islamophobic propaganda of the Zionist controlled media.
    .
The professional militaries of all parties, UKUSIS and Stupidism, alias AlQaida, have much to congratulate themselves about for having excelled on the battlefield and cut many ordinary people from their safety and/lives. they could each one of them step with honour to the scaffold like Saddam Hussain in the knowledge that they have despatched many souls to the grave.
This is the logic of the military mind, that they survived.
    .
The logic of the politician is that however much distress they impose on humanity, the people will have to cope and through the trauma re-identify with their humanity, religion, family or sanity.
    .
I read about a guru who claimed to be so close to God that every week he had to sleep with his female followers to stop himself floating away to heaven in the clouds. The logic of the military and the politician is the same. We saved the world from its bored complacency, and had fun for ourselves. Nice work if you can get it and with prats like Hague in power, Stupidism looks set to thrive.

    Mary,
Ever heard the story of the German trooper caught skull fucking a dead Afghan’s skull? The young chap was posing for photos with his gentile inserted into the eye socket of the skull, caused an uproar in Germany.
    ,
This kind of remains desecration is against rules of war, and Geneva Conventions. However given the degrees of dehumanisation of the Afghans, and Muslims, the ill educated and testosterone oozing youngsters tasked with killing them, have been so geed-up to kill, and get their guts blown out, and come back to ask for a second helping. Bored with long lengths of their deployments, and suffering from low moral, caught-up in an evident endless war. These combined, have yielded a distinct lack of discipline, with these soldiers behaving as a bunch of mercenaries on low pay and out for booty in the theatres they are deployed.
    ,
These young killers on their return to their own towns, and cities, present a danger to themselves as well as their families and neighbours. He sheer waste of human asset in addition to the waste of funds and resources amount to staggering losses, yet the evil enterprise of war goes on.

Must try the guru line sometimes to see if there are any takers? Thanks for the laugh there. However, it should be understood that, if Blair had gone to the treasury and asked for say sixteen million pounds to be drawn and handed over to him, he would have been charged with fraud and embezzlement, on the other hand Blair helped his buddy Dubya to sell the war and he got his money in the long way round fashion, and he verily expected to be called a hero too!
    ,
Ever thought why he resigned from politics the day he lost his job as the PM? We all know he was too busy dodging any probable decelerations of interest and financial affairs, as an MP. Blair was the first to have jumped ship by never returning back to the commons, if I am not mistaken.

I agree with Azra who said, “they are all as bad as each other, and in any case what difference it makes who wins the election? The man in the White house is but a puppet whose strings are pulled elsewhere.”
    .
But here’s an interesting piece on the Newt, for what it’s worth:
“There won’t be a real difference between another Obama term and a possible Romney presidency. But Gingrich – with his ties to the Israeli right, destructive track record from the 1990s and very personal connection to Netanyahu – could turn out to be a real nightmare …”

    Karel,
Holy Grammar , will have to sleep with the lights on, from now!

@Mary, thanks for the info, I read about the 5 mill, and was injected into the campaign recently to revive it.

@Nuid : NG threats are as empty as Obama’s promises! when the time comes those who decide will decide!

Russia is already winning in US/EU approach towards Iran. Oil prices are set to rise following EU announcement to ban oil imports from Iran.
    .
Those who thought that Lavrov (Russian Foreign Minister) was honest about possible Russian intervention and assistance to Iran might need to rethink.

  • Passerby

    Uzbek in the UK,
“honest about possible Russian intervention and assistance to Iran might need to rethink”
    ,
What kind of cock and bull is this line of propaganda? It is EU that is unilaterally putting sanctions, what could Russia do, or how could Russia intervene? Price rises are inevitable, given the uncertainty in the supply chain and the administrative pitfalls as yet unknown.
    ,
    ,
    However just to put your mind at rest;
    ,
Now it is preparing for a potential confrontation with Iran, and appears confident of another successful air strike.
    ,
Such a demonstration of armed might makes powers like Russia and China increasingly nervous.
    ,
By stirring up other powers’ sense of insecurity, the US is actually undermining its own interests. Its security paranoia instills many uncertainties into global dynamics and into the US itself.

    ,
US actions make China-Russia alliance appealing
    ,
    ,
Further the stupidity of sanctions, remain in rearrangement of the trade in oil, as well as end of dealings in Euro, and Dollar, this step will in all probability backfire, alas hubris is a disease that has no cure.

  • Uzbek in the UK

    Passerby
    .
Interestingly that at the same time China is negotiating with Saudis on increase in oil imports.
    .
Calls for Russia-China alliance was since Yougoslav war. If you recall Yeltcin’s visit to Beijing while US Stealth bombers were destroying Belgrade. It has not emerged even when US started military intervention in Afghanistan and Iraq. You can of course consider SCO an alliance but so far SCO main objective is to keep western style democracy away from all SCO participants and keep Karimov and him alike in power.

  • Passerby

    Uzbek in the UK,
So your view is what should China do?
    ,
Yugoslavian war was umpteen years ago in the last century, when US was not an untethered rampaging Empire.
    ,
You conflate all manner of titbits and come out with “Ice cream = Nokia handset” equations.
    ,
Mentioning the drunkard who sold Russia down the river for peanuts visiting Beijing during the Stealth bombers campaign in Yugoslavia (stealth bombers are now regularly tracked) no more stealth and surprise there then. Further Yeltsin has been dispatched to hell for sometime now, and there is no Yugoslavia.

  • Uzbek in the UK

    Passerby
    .
It is not my view. It is what China is doing and most probably will do. This is dictated by pure realpolitik of Chinese Communist party leadership.
    .
I take it that Yeltcin was not your favourite president of Russia. Well it might come to your surprise than that not much (foreign policy wise) changed in Russia since Yeltcin’s re-orientation after Yugoslav war. And what is even more important Russian military has not become stronger (war in Georgia is clear demonstration of it). Yes, yes Russia has bitten two provinces off Georgia and won the war (who would have thought otherwise) but at the same Russian military demonstrated clear shortage of professional organisation and technical provision (this was accepted by Russians themselves).
    .
What was good against 50000 Georgian army (who thought before the war that Georgia even had an army) might not be good enough against NATO. Unless of course you are not taking into account nuclear arsenal, but from what it seems even Putin seems to be not such psychopathic enough as to use it first.

  • Azra

Uzbeck, you might be interested to know that China already has signed a contract with Iran, and not only they are not reducing their oil purchase, but in fact they are increasing it! so yes China gives some lip service to USA, but in practice will do what is best ofr China and why not!
Another point, China is investing huge amount of money in Iran and they are not at all pleased at what happened in Libya and their investment, so I believe they will do as much as they can not to let the same happens in Iran.
