Free Discount Code Doune The Rabbit Hole 2011 5

Readers of this blog can get a £10 discount off weekend camping tickets for this year’s Doune the Rabbit Hole Festival using this discount code: elated.

It is the first and probably last time this blog has ever given anything but thoughts. I shall myself be giving a talk at the festival, and it really is a great time, as much about thinking and a way of living as the music – of which there is an extraordinary 100 bands.

I intend to be mostly in the beer tent. Feel free to buy me a pint.

i suppose it depends on who the bands are. Randolph's leap sounds like a Moray connection. And how many pints you already have. Which reminds me of a friend who was an incredible, retired, ship's engineer. He could fix near damn anything. When garages couldn't fix a car, someone sidled off down the road to consult him.( even main dealers). He frequently embarrassed 'professionals'. He was(is) re-paid by having pints credited to his tab at the local pub as he was very generous of his services . He now has a lifetime no-payment drinking facility, as he has built up so much beer credit.

Sadly it is too far away for me and my tent has gone walkabout. Would love to spill some beer with you and the rest of the Ramsgate wreckin' possee, BUT my valuta bushes have all dried up. I shall nevertheless attempt to see many of the crew at the end of June when I will be having a week off in Edingburgh. Enjoy!

I truly hope the weather is splendiferous (although the danger zone of pissing it down in the preceeding week seems to have passed) and that you all have a great time and break even. Festivals are bloody awesome and there’s no finer waste of time than sat in one of those collapsable chairs in front of the main stage, near the booze tent, sunglasses, paper or book getting slowly sozzled – man in paradise.
