    @Occupy News Network

“We would like to apologise to all people concerned with the fact, number one, that we have temporarily have made the interview video unavailable and number two, the legal threat that was made by one of our legal guys. The video had to be taken down due to updating the website. The legal threat was a lack of sensitivity from our legal people that was completely out of order. Our work was classed as copyright as we thought it was a good way to avoid it to be used by mainstream media freely and to avoid anyone to use it in a ill intended way. We now realise that we can actually attribute it creative commons(non-commercial) and still have the same protection.

Can I just reiterate the fact we are a non-profit project and none of us receives one penny for the work we do, having said this we will take this issue positively and use it to learn from it so it does not happen again in the future.

@Ron – heard that excuse before, but it doesn’t excuse your post. Openly attributing negative characteristics to people because of their Jewishness is racism in my book. Surely there is enough about the behaviour of the Israeli political establishment, or the IDF, or media bias, or neoconservatism (etc etc) that you can criticise?

You are quite right. My eyes are bleary. However, if they’re based in the UK, that’s even more reason to not be so zealous in having the torrent and Vimeo removed. There’s no need to act that way if we are all on the same side.
    .
The basic point remains, I’d like to watch the video. Please!

  • Steve Cook

    “@Occupy News Network

Is it possible that one is allowed a genuine mistake. Why are you judging us based on this as if you know the people involved in this project? I apologised and no more I can do….”

That’s good enough for me mate

    My dear Pedro,

Earlier in the thread, some of the regular commenters appear to have taken leave of their senses, imagining a wide and far-reaching conspiracy involving George Soros, infltrated activist goups, corporate advertisers and the deep state to remove the video of a young chap with a laptop talkng to Craig in his garden.

Apologies on their behalf for the misunderstanding.

    Giles.

  • kingfelix

    @giles
    .
You really don’t need to appoint yourself as an apologist for others. Please limit yourself to taking responsibility for your own statements/actions, as anything more appears rather smug.
    .
There is a rich history of all sorts of shenanigans regarding third party media of Craig’s interviews (when the interviews/articles don’t mysteriously get cancelled, that is). People here tend to be rightly rather suspicious (albeit, on this occasion, wrongly).

  • Jonangus Mackay

Very good Pedro. More power to your elbow. Of all coverage in English so far—and I’ve seen/read most of it—your piece really is the only serious attempt to cover the entire context. That’s why I call Craig’s replies devastating. And why it—along with ABC’s 4Corners film—needs to be distributed as widely as possible. Most people, including journalists, are either by choice or default still ignorant of basic background facts.

Thank you again. And keep up the good work.

@Michael Stephenson: Excellent. Your vimeo link is at last functioning again. (Unlike, sad to say, ONN’s own version which is still unwatchable.) Thanks. Nobody is as smart as everybody.

    Who posted bail for Assange?

    Which law firm represents him?

Where did he reside as part of his bail condition?

Now what is the connection to all three? (I really shouldn’t have to be saying this – why are people so fucking stupid?)

  • Jonangus Mackay

Global distribution update: @Michael Stephenson. Sent your link to Assange’s mother. She’s now forwarded the interview to her 8,945 followers on Twitter.

@Nick “Abramovich and Beresovsky may be thoroughly nasty pieces of work, but what has them being Jewish got to do with anything?

Almost all of the top 20 mafia bosses in the former USSR, or oligarchs (a Chatham House term), or ‘businessmen’ or whatever we are supposed to call them, are Jewish, and many have already got hold of Israeli passports. They include leading figures in the Russian and Central Asian official local bits of the world Zionist organisation. International Jewish criminals control the largest country in the world. If they were Colombian or Maltese or Scientologists, it would mean something. They’re Jewish, and that means something too.

  • Mary

Who was going up and down the road on that noisy moped heard in the background. It wasn’t you Komodo was it?

Resident Dissident earlier. Russia Today is not ‘beloved’ to me. I rarely watch it or visit their website but they have been one the very few broadcasters to fairly report this state’s oppression of Julian Assange.

Oligarchs. Some are Jewish and some are not. So what? ALL of them have ripped off the assets of the Russian people. It continues as Putin puts up state assets for sale, some by online auction I heard yesterday. Thatcher would be proud of Putin.

Bert, I really do think you need to go and sit on the naughty step and have a long think about the silly things you have said.

I’m sorry, but I can’t think of a more serious reply to your posts.

    @ Michael Stephenson

@Bert – The Palestine papers were never released to Wikileaks, the original source leaked straight to Al Jazeera.“.

Thanks for this! Any idea where I might obtain the leaked document that shows the “central role of British intelligence in drawing up a secret plan to crush Hamas in the Palestinian territories”?

The Guardian say MI6 say the info is correct.

Maybe Le Monde say the Deuxieme Bureau say a leak of an unidentified document to the Emir of Qatar’s media organisation says the Deuxieme Bureau have played a central role in a secret plan to overthrow Putin.

    Anyone can say anything.

I believe some of the leaders of the Palestinian Authority have said a lot of the Palestine Papers are forged. Of course, “they would say that, wouldn’t they?” But that doesn’t mean that some or most or all of the documents aren’t forged!

(I hold no brief for the Al Fatah leaders, practically all of whom apart from Yasser Arafat were getting a cut from the cement for the apartheid wall – if that doesn’t make them Zionist stooges, what does it make them? – but that’s not the point. Psy-ops is the point.)

Goodness, how this leaks game is spooked up!!!

  • bert

Sounds to me as though I’ve thought about these things a lot more than you have, Steve. If you want to take issue with one or more of them, please do. Helpful if you read up on them first, though.

The propoganda towards a full out assault on Iran and Syria is hoting up. No doubt about that in my mind. Putting aside, for the moment, the underlying background of Western interference in that part of the world that has gone on for well over a century, I’ve been thinking about all that has happened there recently with the various uprisings that have organically sprung up. I don’t think the Western elites started them, but they do intend to finish them on their terms if they can.

Indeed, what started them was food riots. And we are going to see a lot more of them in the coming years. It all feels like the beginning of an end game where the big players are setting their pieces out for the final play.

I would suggest that Craig makes it conditional to his interviews that a good playable video is offered for his blog, this itchy and scratchy version belongs to the 1920’s.
I shall wait until there is a playable version which is understandable and in sync this is not a video interview, its a mauling.

“The propoganda towards a full out assault on Iran and Syria is hoting up.”

And it is propaganda – the very same stuff they’ve been consistently saying for at least the last decade. The big difference at the moment is that the leadership in the US and Israel, for the first time since JFK, have widely different foreign policy agendas. The propaganda may insist that any differences are due to the timing of the upcoming elections in both countries but that is a fallacy.

Should US/Israel launch any kind of attack against Iran Israel will cease to be a viable state (millions will simply leave the country) and the US will be expelled from pretty much every part of the Middle East, Eurasia and much of South East Asia. Every game-theory driven scenario points to this. Even the Pentagon’s own war-planners have come out publicly and admitted as much.

Netanyahu is finished in Israel. The US knows it and just has to wait it out a few more weeks and not be duped by some 9/11 type plot in the meantime.
