A Bunch of Tits 257

The BBC believes that Kate Middleton’s tits are a more important story than western diplomats in danger of their lives all over the Middle East. Says it all about today’s BBC, really.

Killing people is not the solution to the World’s problems. Killing diplomats is particularly heinous as they are guests in a country, and are charged with keeping open the lines of peaceful communication between nations. Almost certainly Ambassador Stevens and his staff deplored the making and distribution of hate videos, and absolutely certainly they had nothing to do with it. Nor do the diplomats under seige today in Yemen, Sudan and Egypt.

Oliver Miles, the extremely sensible former British Ambassador to Libya, while deploring attacks on Embassies and their staff, made the obvious point on Sky News yesterday that America’s unflinching support for an expansionist Israel was the root cause of hostile attitudes to the USA acroos the Middle East. His interview was instantly terminated.

Miles’ observation is true, as it is true that direct and killing intervention by the US in Libya and Yemen has caused the situations that are now blowing back – often with US supplied or at least encouraged weaponry. But yet again, none of that justifies the racist attacks on westerners. Just as all Muslims were not responsible for Islamic terrorists, so all westerners are not responsible for the far right purveyors of anti-Muslim hatred.

All decent people must despair at the prospect of yet another cycle of violence. Powerful interests both in the West and in the Middle East are not amongst those decent people.

Of all the signals the West could send out to try to end the horrors wrought by the promoters of the “Clash of civilisations”, the most powerful would be to arraign Bush and Blair for war crimes. This is not a deluded hope of idealists; it is an essential step if the world is ever to heal.

    @ Mark Golding.

Your integrity and bona fides have been established here over many years.

    F*uck the dimwits.

    Aaah…the height of experience..

I was one of the very foist to join this blog, many years ago.

Over those years i’ve encountered msny posters.Mary,Nuid,Suyaal,Komodo,Mark Golding,John Goss,Angrysoba,Arsalan,Jon and Clark(mods),Craig himself,Scouse Billy,Vronsky,JimmyGiro-even on occassion Tony Opmoc, et al.

I’m not a good poster because i sometimes let my ire colour my responses but, whilst i disagree often with many here the one thing i generally repsect is their dedication to reasoned argument and in-depth posting.

The others rarely offer anything but transient opprobrium-usually without depth of argument-and one line hostility towards Craig, other the basic tenets of this noble blog.

I applaud all the reasoned and considered posters. At least they offer argument backed up by facts and links.

Some of the rest are fools and disruptors. You’ll know who you are.

    Shame on you.

  • Chris Jones

@Jives …im sure your comment at 2.36 am is well intentioned but your comment,to me at least, comes accross as: “these people are acceptable to be in my gang because i like them and they are my friends”..

    …i find that,if not slightly disturbing,slightly sad…

    get a grip man

  • Jives

    @ Chris Jones.

Get a grip fellow indeed! You feeling left out the list?…lol

Read my comment more closely. Many of these posters are polar opposites in view.My point was a celebration of those posters here who, however disparate,at least try and backup their position with details and sourced argument and links-ratherthan the occassional visitor who drops by to simply, for example, shout “Craig Murray is a fake and this is a shit blog full of tinfoil hat merchants.

Surprised Chris you didn’t catch my drift. You’re one of the better posters here.

  • Chris Jones

I thank you in kind Jives and have no wish get at you personally….my point was that a form of naming and shaming/whos in who out can be detremental and counter productive in general – i realise that that may come accross as rather po faced and dour but i think its a valid point ..(do not be alarmed about my ego though..i can take it!)

Two US Marines killed at Camp Bastion. Five more were injured. What have Obomber and Hellary got to say. Will they stop the US killing, esp that done by drones?

  • Mary

    Five were injured.

This is the main concern of the BBC. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-19608496

Prince Harry at Camp Bastion during Taliban attack

Prince Harry was at Camp Bastion in Afghanistan at the time of an attack by the Taliban in which two American marines were killed.

Nato told the Reuters news agency that the prince “was never in any danger”.

US officials said small arms, rockets and mortars were used to attack the perimeter of the military base, home to troops from several countries.

How silly of Will-i-am to sue through the French courts. A storm in a C cup. Will he be using that leading member of the British legal profession, Anthony Julius, the same one used by his mother for her divorce settlement and who supports Israel?

See Julius’s views on the academic boycott of Israel and the siege of Gaza.

Or will French lawyers benefit from the royal coffers which the British taxpayers fill?

This interview with Anthony Julius contains some interesting points.

wish u had a link for oliver miles on sky, craig.
have searched sky, but cannot find it (no surpise) and sky haven’t archived it under “oliver miles”, only two old stories to be found there.

11 years and still our military forces are all over the muslim world. time to come home. time for bush/blair/howard to be tried for war crimes.
meanwhile, in australia, we had just had another bunch of terror raids, because our ASIO guy was texting his INFORMER and the texts got published online, so some face-saving was necessary:

Terror raids followed the outing of ASIO informer
    http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/terror-raids-followed-the-outing-of-asio-informer-20120913-25v83.html

most MSM feverishly reported a gun was seized, but it turned out to be REGISTERED FIREARMS AND FAKE FIREARMS, probably children’s toys:

    Accused terrorist in court
Police said they seized a number of items from the properties, including a USB memory stick containing violent extremist materials, computer equipment, registered firearms and fake firearms…

Now those moronic fanatics are rioting at the US embassy in Sydney!!! As a secular person, I am particularly outraged. We had a fanatical Catholic damage a piece of ‘art’ called ‘Piss Christ’ – a rather tasteless installation of Jesus in a perspex box of urine – but no-one went out rioting and calling for beheadings!

Revealed. The Mohammed Video excuse is bunk. Royal tits are a diversion. US Ambassador killing was set up days before the event.

It looks like Israel is trying to stir up trouble for Obama’s election campaign so they can get their man in. Romney is not only a psychotic religionist who believes god lives on a planet called Kolob he also openly receives political contributions direct from Israel, which is illegal in the US.

unless your contribution was a pathetic attempt to amuse us all, then try to read few things before you start writing. Reinhard Heydrich was not, and could have never been a diplomat, as the “Böhmen und Mähren” was a protectorate of Deutsches Reich and not a state. His assignment was a “Reichsprotektor”. Unless you know already, then look up what it means.

Does anyone remember the American bombing of the Chinese embassy in Belgrade?* It was reported as an accident and my immediate reaction was “bullshit”. I proposed, long before it was revealed, that the real reason was that the Chinese were engaging in intelligence gathering of information related to US weapon’s systems brought down during the conflict. This is what embassies (particularly US) do and they become military targets as a result.

Now here I am suggesting something similar in relation to the recent attacks on the US embassy. American interference in local political dynamics has annoyed someone, the embassy is attacked as a blunt warning and some incredible story is circulated to obscure the truth.

Maybe Kate Middleton’s boobs will bring peace to the Middle East.

Some people seek distraction from the worries of the world, salacious gossip is one avenue. Some people love an excuse to throw things and yell”Death to whoever!”

Of the two I guess looking at boobs is less harmful.

    @Jon Goss 14 Sep, 2012 – 11:58 pm

Jon, really my experience is immaterial. We were a ragtag bunch with attitude and no doubt we got the wrong person.

But please read the link provide by Chris2 14 Sep, 2012 – 10:31 pm.

This link allegedly outlines ambassador Steven’s career. My prejudices regarding diplomats seem confirmed by wikileak cables in which Stevens discusses:

“..negotiations with the Libyan government for continued access by American interrogators to Libyan detainees who had been abducted, tortured and then handed back to the Gaddafi regime as part of the “war on terrorism.” Other cables detail multi-billion-dollar deals struck on behalf of American corporations seeking profits from Libyan oil.”

In this light I find expressions of sadness at his death, without outrage at his actions, somewhat myopic.

There has been yet another British soldier killed in Helmand province after an IED blew the vehicle up in which he was travelling. When is Cameron going to get them all out? The British section of the ‘alliance of the willing’ was always pointless in military terms, yet alone on moral grounds, and is even more so now.

I bet the losses at Camp Bastion yesterday are greater than we are being told about.

On a point of information: the US supports Israel but it has consistently opposed expansion of the settlements. While accepting that the Holocaust was inflicted on the Jews of Europe by Germany, the uncomfortable fact also remains that historically Jews and Arabs BOTH lived in the Jordan/trans Jordan area.

Meanwhile the Iranians are not Arabs at all, and their support of countries like Syria is blatant opportunism. Has everyone already forgotten the Iran-Iraq war or come to that, the Iraq-Kuwait war? Do you really think if Israel did not exist, the local Muslims would not be fighting each other?

These and many similar events owe their origins to fault lines in Islam, not to the existance of Israel. Take the ongoing fighting between Sunnis and Shias, look at Libya recently.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to sustain the line that Islam is a religion of peace and that the militants are all the products of rudimentary madrassas in Pakistan.

All credit to you for mentioning the excellent journalist, Justin Raimondo of antiwar.com.

At this stage, I’m thinking the film is a red-herring to provide cover for those behind the real reason for the attack. Why is it not a joint US-Israeli provocation? Because when you do something anti-Islamic, you can’t always know where the reaction will express itself without further localised provocation. It could have been in Afghanistan or Iraq, or .. pick a place. The location must be certain for this theory to work. Can anyone point to evidence of this film being promoted in Libya? That would certainly be needed to lend credence to a theory that the US is looking for an excuse to escalate its involvement in Libya. Otherwise, I think the Libyan’s have just sent a warning to the US to butt out of its affairs.

Do you really think if Israel did not exist, the local Muslims would not be fighting each other?

Starts the racist fuckwit farrago and the rest of the scum ziofuckwits pile in on the “Muslim bad” and the movie is a correct depiction …..blah blah
