CIA Plot Against Correa Funded by Drug Money 1271

Hillary Clinton is repeating the methodology of the Iran/Contra affair, using “black” funds to finance the operation to ensure President Correa is not re-elected.

I had two excellent sources for the news that the US/UK strategy against Julian Assange was to ensure the defeat of President Correa in Presidential elections next spring, and then have him expelled from the Ecuadorean Embassy. One source was within the UK civil service and one in Washington. Both had direct, personal access to the information I described. Both told me in the knowledge I would publish it.

Of course Assange is not the only reason Clinton wants rid of Correa; but it adds spice and urgency.

We now have completely independent evidence from Chile that this CIA operation exists, from journalists who were investigating a smuggling operation involving 300 kg per month of cocaine, organised by the Chilean army and security services.

The links to US intelligence emerged after an anonymous source from the Agencia Nacional de Inteligencia (ANI) told Panoramas News that the smuggling of 300 kilos of cocaine was in fact a highly sensitive CIA/DEA operation that would help to raise money to topple the government of Ecuador. The operation is similar to the one carried out by the Agency in Central America during the Iran-Contra scandal in the 1980’s, the source said.

A few days ago I published information I had received that Patricio Mery Bell, the director of the news programme which broke the story, had been lured to a meeting with a young lady “informant” who had worked with CIA-backed anti-Cuban groups in Miami. She had then accused him of sexual assault (does any of that scenario sound familiar?) He was arrested and his materials had been confiscated. However I took the article down after jst a few minutes because I had received the information in emails from sources I did not know previously, and was unsure it could stand up. It does now appear that this is indeed true.

My Washigton informant had told me, as I published, that the funds for the anti-Correa operation were not from the CIA budget but from secret funds controlled by the Pentagon. This could not be done by CIA funds because, perhaps surprisingly, for the CIA to operate in this way is a crime in the United States.

Whether my informant knew or suspected that the “secret Pentagon funds” were drug money I do not know. They did not mention narcotics.

    Crab; Not wishing to stoke the firepit, but, same question I asked of Habbakuk;

What do you wish to accomplish?

That RT Moscow story now being carried by CNN

    http://edition.cnn.com/2012/11/12/us/petraeus-cia-resignation/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

Petraeus, 60, resigned Friday after acknowledging he had an affair with a woman later identified as his biographer, Paula Broadwell, 40, a fellow West Point graduate who spent months studying the general’s leadership of U.S. forces in Afghanistan.

Days after Petraeus’ resignation stunned Washington, information continues to emerge. Among other things, a video has surfaced of a speech by Petraeus’ paramour in which she suggested the Libya attack was targeting a secret prison at the Benghazi consulate annex, raising unverified concerns about possible security leaks.

Mark; Me spouse and meself have rigorously avoided all the shots embued with mercury, for the sake of Pharmaceutical profitology, and our own good health, for some time now. But thanks, anyway.

    John Goss,

Third-hand reliable information suggest American data(using precision satellite information) on Syrian defence batteries is being passed to Israel to update the GPS systems of guided missiles fired into Syria.

Benjamin Netanyahu has said that Israel was “closely monitoring what is happening on our border with Syria and there too we are ready for any development.”

Perfect history tells us Israel captured the Golan Heights from Syria during the Six Day War in 1967. The country agreed to return the land to Syria in return for a peace agreement. The Arab World rejected the overture following the 1967 Arab League Summit which famously concluded: “no peace with Israel, no recognition of Israel, no negotiations with it.”

Where are those voices now! Do you want biological weapons to be delivered into Syria murdering another million children?

    One mind Won victory.

    @ Habbabkuk,

Most happy to lambast those who, very wrongly, called Lord McAlpine a paedophile.Ugly and sinister behaviour without doubt.Verily i decry it.

I reserve the right to call out trolls as i see fit though, rightly or wrongly.

“Chump” remains a furtive thrust in the dark. You can do better than that i feel.

    Cheers.

Those Rothschild connections again. Mr Fry is opposed to high BBC salaries. I expect his own income is just above the breadline. Note Ms Coyle is married to Cellan-Jones a senior BBC journalist. Why her coyness in using a different surname? A cosy incestuous establishment exists at Portland Place. A good clear out needed. Abolish the ‘Trust’ and its place persons. Send for Dyno Rod.

    On the Entwistle payout –

‘Lord Patten made the deal after a conference call with lawyers and the agreement of two members of the BBC Trust’s remuneration committee. They were Diane Coyle, the vice-chairman of the trust and a former government economist, and Anthony Fry, an investment banker.

Mrs Coyle is married to Rory Cellan-Jones, the BBC’s technology correspondent. She is paid £77,005 a year to work two and a half days a week for the BBC Trust and since last year has also acted as an unpaid adviser to Chuka Umunna, the shadow business secretary. She declined to comment yesterday.

Mr Fry, previously an investment banker with Rothschilds who is now chairman of the Espirito Santo Investment Bank, joined the BBC Trust in November 2008. He has been a persistent critic of the high pay of BBC executives.

He declined to comment on the decision to give Mr Entwistle a £450,000 payout. However, a source close to the board said both Mr Fry and Mrs Coyle believed the payout was justified. “They agree with Lord Patten,” said the source. “The whole organisation is a mess, which is what George Entwistle identified but was unable to do anything about during his short tenure.”’

Habbabkuk I wish you would not keep bringing up my name.

    Ref McAlpine – I said

‘Trouble at Mill down at the BBC. Unreserved apologies all round to Lord McAlpine.’

meaning that the BBC types were apologising to McAlpine. I had not made any accusations about him because I I have no views on him or knowledge of his private activities other than what is in the public domain.

I do know that he was a key player in Thatcher’s government as party Treasurer and provided the wherewithal that enabled her to commence the destruction of our public services by privatisation. That is now evident in the dismantling of OUR NHS which she started when she brought Prof Enthoven over from the Rand Corporation in the US to set the process in train. Major, Blair and Brown continued the process and Cameron and Clegg will finish it off.

‘For our neighbours this began back in 1986 with Margaret Thatcher’s decision to call upon an expert in nuclear strategy from the RAND Corporation, Alain Enthoven, to overhaul the National Health Service. [..] The reform (founded on principles of public intervention defined by the 1986 Nobel Prize winner, James Buchanan) would be pursued by the Blair government and New Labour who in 1997, in opposition to the tradition of the British Left, went for the free market option and the reform of state institutions in accordance with the principles defined by Enthoven. The reform turned healthcare into a ‘quasi-internal market’, aiming to take power out of the hands of doctors and fix profit goals across the board, independently of the means implemented to meet them.

In 2002, Blair committed himself to revamping the institution by raising his budget significantly, going immediately from 6.7% to 9.2%. At the same time the NHS opened up to the private sector through various Trusts and by means of what its opponents called its ‘marketisation’, in particular, by introducing rival private treatment centres to which NHS patients could go. Be that as it may, New Labour’s pragmatic policies did bear fruit.’

Dreoilin I saw this on Dissident Voice

    http://dissidentvoice.org/2012/11/irelands-booming-economy-in-the-midst-of-austerity-and-cutbacks/

and thought it would be of interest to you. I suppose it is correct that Irish exports are ‘booming’. If so, is that because multinational manufacturing is based in Ireland for tax purposes? I was watching the HoC committee yesterday hearing from Google, Amazon and Starbucks on their tax arrangements. Google are based in Ireland and Bermuda!, Amazon in Luxembourg and Starbucks in Holland for tax purposes.

They pay little or no corporation tax on their UK profits.

What do you make of this story, Craig? The proposition is that the raid on Libya’s US Embassy was not about murdering the US Ambassador, it was about freeing Libyans held in a CIA detention centre in Bengazi – a prison (maybe even torture centre) outlawed by Obama along with all other CIA overseas detention centres set up originally under the GW Bush administration. Circumstantially this would explain why Petraeus left after the US election rather than before because there would have been all sorts of fuss.

(Please allow question in from the side: not intended to interrupt the current conversation)

The EU Court ruling on Abu Qatada upheld his appeal against deportation because:

“the judge did not believe he would get a fair trial because a Jordanian court could use evidence against Abu Qatada that had been obtained from the torture of others.”

Doesn’t that mean that any future attempts by the USA to extradite people from the UK could be blocked by citing Guantanamo?

    Bit of background here:

    http://hpub.org/iran-contraoliver-north-de-ja-vu-cia-allegedly-selling-cocaine-without-knowledge-of-congress-to-finance-regime-change-in-ecuador/

The director of Panoramas News, journalist Patricio Mery Bell, was planning to hand over the information to Rafael Correa while the Ecuadorian President was visiting Chile, but he was strangely accused of beating a woman after she stole his cell-phone. The cell-phone memory contained a video testimony of Mery’s intelligence source, destined to be passed to Correa, but it ended up in the hands of the police after the mysterious incident.

“Panoramas” is of course Spanish-language, but the link is provided in the article.

As soon as I saw the photos of Jill Kelley, the woman who allegedly informed the FBI wrt the e-mails allegedly sent to her by purportedly David Petraeus’s mistress, I knew she was of Middle Eastern origin. She is Maronite Lebanese and moved to the USA as a child. Jill Khawam was her original name.

Here is a nice food-related article from when she was 13 years old – see first link below.

I note today that another US general is involved wrt e-mails to Mrs Kelley. 30,000 pages is a lot of e-mails! The Obama Cabinet may have withheld releasing this storm until after the election. Black sites, sex scandals, Christmas cake – a rather large cat to have to put back in the bag. ‘Social liaison’, ‘honorary ambassador’. Curiouser and curiouser…

This comment on the post lists a bit of Rose’s past.

    http://ricosorda.blogspot.com/2012/11/daily-mail-journalist-david-rose-he-is.html?showComment=1352668996143#c7987546221240543036

“If we get to the truth about David Rose we just might know the real story of organized protection of child abusers at the highest level.

“My question is why there is no mainstream media interest in exposing the real David Rose. We know he is notorious, shadowy, and sometimes confused with others by the same name who work in the media.

“We know he has publicly admitted to lying about WMD in Iraq at the request of the government. He even apologized for that one, saying he had a family to support. Think of the lives effected, lives lost. Is that to be his family’s happy legacy?

“We know that media fact checkers have torn apart his false climate change denial articles in which he has disseminated inaccuracies on behalf of big oil interests.

“What we don’t know is who is behind the campaign by David Rose to discredit child rapists and ruin the lives of their victims and demonize those heroes who fight child abuse, but he is a travesty. His effect on the world is unspeakably evil. To those who agree the real story should be how children were abused in care, David Rose needs to become a subject of intense journalistic scrutiny, never again a published journalist.”

@ Ben Franklin : does it matter who or what I am? I’m far too modest to wish to publicize myself… 🙂

@ Thatcrab : in view of your post, time for an armistice? I do agree with you about unsatisfactory inquiries of course. But one can only be diasappointed if one believes that inquiries are set up in order to get at the whole truth…

@ Jives : what is your personal definition of a troll?

@ Mary : OK, I’ll try and meet your wish not to refer to you (although I do think that your “..keep referring to me..” is a little exaggerated. I do actually find your posts interesting.

Over and out (for the moment.. 🙂 )

“Doesn’t that mean that any future attempts by the USA to extradite people from the UK could be blocked by citing Guantanamo?”

I wouldn’t think so. Obama has *in theory* put a stop to torture. Although Guantanamo of course is still open and I don’t know what the current conditions there are like.

Assange’s mother posted on Twitter yesterday, quoting @thejustcampaign:

“8 men chained by ankles.. badly infected wound wriggled with maggots” #DavidHicks: #Guantanamo p.181 #Assange #auspol” – which is presumably quoting David Hick’s book.

    Could this –

have anything to do with this?

Funny the WaPo didn’t mention that angle…it cited Human Rights watch, though. A mention by HRW should disqualify applicants, it seems to say. OK, then:

This story still has some ways to go, it appears:

Paula Broadwell’s home is searched by FBI as Senate opens inquiry into agency’s investigation of affair with CIA chief

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/nov/12/petraeus-affair-senate-investigation-broadwell

“This is about something else entirely, and the truth will come out,” Paul Krantz, the father of Petraeus’s mistress, Paula Broadwell told the Daily News from his home in Bismarck, North Dakota. “There is a lot more that is going to come out … you wait and see. There’s a lot more here than meets the eye.”

  • Mark Golding - Children of Conflict

The American public is paying no attention to the fact that the scandal relating to General Petraeus comes out only after the General told Congress that Israel was a strategic liability in the Middle East.

Subsequently the General found himself being attacked by Abe Foxman and the Anti-Defamation League Israeli lobby for making those statements aswell as other Israeli assets in Congress.
