The Feminist Defence of Blowing Out the Brains of Small Children 615

The number of people still prepared to defend the Iraq War in public is tiny.  The interesting thing is the very strong correlation between those people, and those prepared to pretend to give credence to the farcical sexual allegations about Julian Assange.  Zoe Williams Guardian piece about what a jolly good chap Blair is I find breathtaking.  War crimes like Blair’s result in terrible anguish for millions.  I am prepared for purposes of argument to believe that Williams’ anguish for female victims of crime is genuine; why she can’t extend that to the tens of thousands of women who were raped because of Blair’s Iraq War, or had the still worse agony of seeing their children killed and mutilated I don’t know.  Nick Cohen is just very, very sad.  I just hold up these two in the hope that those deceived by feminist political correctness into following their lead against Assange will see to what they are subscribing.

Rather a side issue, but even if we accept Zoe Williams view that dead Iraqi children don’t matter, she appears not to have noticed that Blair introduced tuition fees, academies, kick-started NHS privatization, allowed the banksters’ bonanza leading to worldwide economic crash and oversaw the greatest widening of the gap between rich and poor in British history.

“the community work organised by Roosevelt was in essence not that different from the Gulags and the construction of the White Sea Canal.”

It is almost impossible not to react when you read egregious nonsense like the above. Or do you think that people who post that kind of tosh should remain unchallenged?

Idem those who see a conspiracy – the hand of the evil West – behind every earthquake, natural disaster, crashed airliner, suicide of a banker, non-“political” story featured in the MSM, MP’s curriculum vitae, attempt to reform any sacred cow institution, bicycle race in leafy Surrey, etc etc…the list is endless.

That’s if they really believe in what they write. It may of course be that those posters merely post that sort of guff in order to wind others up. But in that case they would be guilty of trollery, would they not?

Anyway, if it’s all too much, why not just use Habbabreak and Marybreak?

  • Ba'al Zevul ((Customer-Focused and Market-Driven)

Mick : I think Habbabreak ™ (or the lack of it) is probably responsible for the enigmatic interjections I’m seeing above.

Habbabreak ™ – the season ticket for your train of thought. Get it here – https://greasyfork.org/scripts/246

There is as yet no VanishMary, though. I think it might sell.

On some fora the user screen has an ignore button which blocks your choice of irritating people. I am all for this, as conversations once again look like conversations.

“Habbabkuk, I think your pedantic questioning and targeting would simply alight upon someone else if Mary was removed.”
    _________________

Why do you consider the questioning pedantic?

Re “targeting” and the “someone else” : those who deserve it, get it. Fewer references to Jewish grandparents, fewer corrections from Habbabkuk. Fewer attempts to defend the old Soviet régime or Russian bullying of Ukraine, fewer corrections from Habbabkuk. Just examples, of course.

Possibly appeals to cool it, but unfortunately not matched by appeals to others, and therefore demonstrating partiality to those who cleave to the establishment line on here. Removed from the blog on a (trumped-up charge) which John himself more or less admitted was just an excuse to get rid of me but speedily reinstated. But I think you’re well aware of all that, even though your handle is a new one to me….:)

  • ESLO

Removed from the blog on a (trumped-up charge)

Which bore some similarities to the rather more specific charge by A Node and John Goss against Lord Robertson it should be noted.

  • ESLO

“First do a search on US prison system.”

I did a search with “20 million deaths” and came up with nothing of substance. In fact only 4 idiots making the same otiose comparisons as yourself.

“Gulag” and “20 million deaths” came up with 2.83m entries. In future I shall think of you as Little Miss 0.0001%

Interesting that ‘Mick’ arrives out of the blue. Some feeding of the trolls.

    I have posted today:

Once on Israelis caring for injured turtles but not for Palestinians
Another to give support to John against the trolling
Then to highlight the fraud behind the taking down of Saddam’s statue
Lastly a jokey comment on the UK media’s output and the coverage of the royals.

    Work it out.

and btw Ba’al you are pretty fond of the sound of your own voice. Second time you have joined in having a dig at me after someone else has had a go. Away with the pair of you. It is not a competition here for goodness’ sake.

Absolutely right – replace “charge” with “insinuation”

    many apologies

  • fred

“Back to Blair and his part in the blowing out of small children’s brains.

This is the truth behind the toppling of Saddam’s statue. Do you remember the US flag being put on the top and the ‘crowd’ stamping on the statue after it was brought to the ground?

    All staged.

The photographs tell the story… ”

Yes that has been public knowledge for some time, the American government have owned up to it.

Myself it doesn’t surprise me much, that’s what America does. What concerns me more is that the entire world media went along with it.

I’ not too sure just what part Blair played in it.

  • Ben-Joseph N. Welch

“Myself it doesn’t surprise me much, that’s what America does. What concerns me more is that the entire world media went along with it.”

You seem to think there is a difference between governance and the media, Fred.

  • Kempe

“The only Western-read MSM to have stories on the Spanish protests in the first two pages returned from a Google search for ‘austerity protest spain’(This Week), are al-Jazeera and the Huffington Post. Maybe a conspiracy, maybe not. Pretty slack reporting by Murdoch, though, innit? ”

Well the most recent demonstration was a protest against the (alleged) police brutality at the previous one!

    http://www.expatica.com/es/news/spanish-news/protesters-march-against-police-violence-in-madrid_289900.html

I suppose the idea that it really isn’t of much interest to a UK audience wouldn’t sway the Troofers from their conviction that it’s all being suppressed as part of some complex conspiracy. I mean would we expect every EDF march to get reported in the Spanish MSM?

  • fred

“You seem to think there is a difference between governance and the media, Fred.”

    There is.

They are both players in the game, sometimes allies sometimes enemies, both seeking more power for themselves.

“At the very least could others express that they find them both tedious? I can’t be the only one?”
One reason I come to this blog is to learn. A lot of my concerns are similar to Mary’s. If one of those concerns comes up in the news, there’s a good chance that Mary will research it and post a lot of background. This is valuable because I trust Mary. I believe I know where she’s coming from and that’s she’s not trying to deceive me. Matter of fact I’m not aware of even one of her many detractors ever suggesting that she’s not genuine in her beliefs.
There are a few on this blog I find tedious – I just scroll past them. I don’t see why you can’t do the same, Mick.

The main reason I find this blog valuable is because the conformity enforcers (thanks for the label, Sophia) sometimes discuss issues. I want my beliefs to be intelligently challenged, I want new information to be sceptically scrutinised before I accept it. If the COs knew how much they have helped me, they’d be furious …. damn, let the cat out of the bag. You’ll never hear me asking for them to be banned. Unfortunately, there are one or two subjects where the COs seem to think that it is their duty to derail debate, and any means, no matter how underhand, is justified. It angers me, and sometimes I fall into the trap of responding, when the COs use deception. I will try harder not to.

And then there’s Habbabkuk. I used to think he was a variety of CO, but I’ve realised that it’s much simpler than that. He craves attention. That’s all.

My thoughts exactly, A Node. Well said.

“If cancelling debt and increasing aid have been a cash cow for some very wasteful and downright crooked NGO’s, and have leveraged access to poor countries’ resources for exploitative globalist companies, I have also to remember that geopolitics are of no interest to someone who is wondering where his next meal is coming from, or whether it will come at all. And his case has improved.”

Yes, that’s the way the charity game works.

Habbabkuk; “Not a peep on this matter from Mary, Ba’al Zevul, Herbie, Macky and the other vocalists”

John doesn’t need troll-pack like support to defend from the likes of you & your equally inept fellow members of the yelping hyena pack.

Mick; “At the very least could others express that they find them both tedious? I can’t be the only one?”

    I second (well third after Ben) A Node response to you;

    A Node; “He craves attention”

He certainly does, only problem being his self-rated “intellectual firepower”, clearly just doesn’t match his delusionally inflated belief of it.

    @John Goss

  • John Goss

Afrend, great news. Will take a look tomorrow. Just one question. If I wanted to reinstate somebody, say to check on something, is it possible. Catch up soon.

    Love ya too.

  • fred

“Afrend, great news. Will take a look tomorrow. Just one question. If I wanted to reinstate somebody, say to check on something, is it possible. Catch up soon.”

Can’t live with ’em…can’t live without ’em.

  • Afrend

    @John Goss
“If I wanted to reinstate somebody, say to check on something, is it possible.”

Yes you can. Adding and removing anyone from the ‘People To Hide’ options list is easy as pie.

Click the “Habbabreak Options” item that appears on the blog’s menu (across the top after “Invite Craig To Speak”). Then you can add and remove people to hide. Instructions included.

  • Afrend

    @John Goss

It is also very easy to temporarily disable the entire Habbabreak script if you do want to see everyone without resetting your “People To Hide’ options lists.

On the Firefox menu go- Tools > Greasemonkey > Habbabreak

You can untick (disable) either the Habbabreak script or Greasemonkey. Then you will see everyone. Retick it (enable) and everyone on your options list disappears! It’s all good with Habbabreak.
