Apocalypse Blair 147

While Gaza writhes in agony, Middle East Peace Envoy Tony Blair’s private jet last week was in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Two months earlier Blair had certainly visited Las Vegas and Los Angeles on the same journey. In Las Vegas Blair was paid a large but undisclosed sum to attend a conference of hedge fund managers. His meetings in Los Angeles were “private”.

I have been unable to discover whether Blair was on his jet last week, or it was Cherie shopping or Alistair Campbell following up on the “business opportunities” for Blair from the July meetings. But he was not evidently in the Middle East. Just before the jet left for the USA he was in Britain hosting a lavish and deeply tasteless birthday party for his wife, two months before her birthday.

Yesterday the Guardian announced Blair’s new role as adviser to the Government of Azerbaijan, to add to the money he gets from advising Sisi of Egypt, Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan, numerous Gulf despots and any other dictator who does not realise that the Blair brand has become even more toxic than their own.

Blair’s attendance at the July conference of hedge fund managers was appropriate, as they are the epitome of the heartless irresponsibility and short term financial outlook of the new capitalism which Blair so heartily embraced. His fellow guest speaker at that conference was Francis Ford Coppola. I went to bed last night mulling this article and the aptness of combination of Tony Blair and Apocalypse Now.

Then I woke up this morning to the news that after twenty years of peace fighting had broken out between Blair’s brand new client, Azerbaijan, and Armenia. The man really is cursed. Perhaps once you voluntarily brought so much war and terrible death, there is no way to stop. Apocalypse Blair. He should rename that private jet The Four Horsemen.

    Telegraph take on Warsi’s resignation:

“My view has been that our policy in relation to the Middle East Peace Process generally but more recently our approach and language during the current crisis in Gaza is morally indefensible, is not in Britain’s national interest and will have a long term detrimental impact on our reputation internationally and domestically.”

She also suggested the Israeli government should face international trial for alleged war crimes, but feared the British Government would not support that position.

She wrote in the letter: “Particularly as the Minister with responsibility for the United Nations, The International Criminal Court and Human Rights, I believe our approach in relation to the current conflict is neither consistent with our values, specifically our commitment to the rule of law and our long history of support for international justice.”

Those words have been a long time coming, but are very welcome. Well done, Warsi.

Blair has allegedly arrived in Cairo again.

The picture of Tony Blair doing ‘stern and angry’ (…emote, luvvie. Emote!) appears to be from some EU junket or other in which he is perhaps telling the audience what bad bastards the Muslim Brotherhood are, and how much Egypt appreciates not having democracy again.

Looks as if he flew in with the peasants on a scheduled flight- biz jets are a bit lacking at the time and place in question – but one I’ve been interested in should have shown up and didn’t on the 5th. G-CEYL is still, as far as public data goes, in LA. Could be having its ‘C’ maintenance – there doesn’t seem to be a third-line Bombardier garage in Europe – and if so it should reappear within the week.

Due to a sudden hike in data security ca 01/08/14, Blair is not quite as easy to follow as he was before then. No doubt this has much to do with Flight MH17. However, clues are occasionally available to the earnest seeker after truth, and I hope to try to shed further light on his extremely amoral activities as these permit.

Re Blair being “owned”. Hoover kept exhaustive files on all and sundry for blackmail and control decades ago. This I think is widely acknowledged. In these days of mass surveillance and very dark dastards running the world, why wouldnt senior politicians nd others not be controlled via blackmail? Boys homes, extra marital affairs, criminality and so on. So is Bliar someone’s bitch? Was he not done for cottaging years ago?

  • Ba'al Zevul (With Gaza)

…why wouldnt senior politicians nd others not be controlled via blackmail?

Because simply buying influence is so much easier all round. Though blackmail is useful if you absolutely HAVE to own someone who has scruples about taking the cash/sinecure/nice little earner/campaign funds.

Tony’s a greedy little man. He probably doesn’t know why he has to keep chasing round the world and licking arses for money he could easily, and happily, live without. I suspect it has to do with early insecurity. And his awful wife.

LBlackmail is free? Sure pay them too or at least let them dip their beak, by all means. But the dirty bastards, and there’s a lot of them, Congress anyone? are in every walk of life, in all countries.5

G-CEYL has now returned (1000 hrs yesterday, to its base) from Los Angeles. As Blair has been reported reasonably reliably from elsewhere in the interim, he certainly wasn’t with it for more than three days. Bombardier have transportation servicing centres in both LA and LV, so my guess that it was being serviced seems reasonable. Apologies for contributing possibly misleading material, which seems to have had a much wider audience than this blog. On the other hand, everything else in Craig’s post is factual.

Apparently, Blair was using charter jets, presumably at taxpayers’ expense, when he was PM:

Maybe a one-off? Not just one firm though:

Not sure which Davos this was, but Tony used Aravco’s faithful G-CEYL to get to this year’s, so maybe 2007. (FBO=fixed-base operator)

An intriguing line of enquiry opens up.

Blair’s appearance in Cairo on the 6th “in a private jet” (Egyptian press) may not have been unconnected with a Hawker 800/850 which left Tel Aviv (presumed – flight path not known in full, but right direction) and flew to Antalya in Turkey before continuing to Cairo, arriving ca 0900 local time. Very few other private/charter flights around; both Egyptair and BA flew Heathrow-Cairo scheduled flights the same day.

  • Ba'al Zevul (With Gaza)

G-CEYL will be arriving at Durham Tees airport in about 30 minutes from this post.

  • Ba'al Zevul (With Gaza)

G-CEYL is now back at base. Rather a strange excursion; remains to be seen if Tony is still using it.

It’s called non-ethnically categorised surface enhancing fluid now, Pork…only on prescription from your spin doctor.

Meanwhile, Tony has found another bandwagon to jump on. Elsewhere his Faith Foundation celebrates a perceived rise in the popularity of religion, but on yet another e-manifestation of the bleeding obvious he’s pointing out that people who bury people alive aren’t very nice even if they are religious* –

Assembled to inform the international community about religion and conflict.

…. and without Tony it would have had no idea.

The author is Peter Welby, the son of the Archbishop of that name, and Canterbury. He’s 23 years old, and pro-Morsi.

    * God, I’m so unfair to Tony. But not nearly enough.

Point to ponder: Blair helped destabilise Iraq and colluded in the chaos that ensued. In which large quantities of heavy equipment transferred themselves from the Iraqi forces to ISIS. Blair was gungho for armed intervention in Syria to topple Assad and for indixcriminate support for the rebels -who formed ISIS. Blair has had or has advisory contracts with Gulf states currently or recently arming ISIS.

ISIS is the direct result, if not primarily of anything Blair said or did, of the American policy he enthusiastically signed the UK up for.

Carello, 66, whose main residence has been in London’s Chelsea since 1990, met Blair when the then Labour Prime Minister and his family were enjoying the hospitality of Sir Cliff Richard at the beleaguered singer’s home in Barbados in 2004.

Four years later, Sara (Carello), 52, became a trustee of the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women.

The Blairs have been spotted with Carello, who comes from a family of Turin industrialists, on one of his friends’ yachts and dining on prawns and seafood platters at several of Lipari’s best restaurants. On Sunday, Tony attended an evening mass in Lipari’s church and yesterday they were all on a boat together.

Won’t copy anymore. Too much of an emetic. All the time the media have been implying that BLiar has been in Cairo working on a peace deal. May he rot in hell.

    ‘Massimo Carello

The scion of a family of Turin industrialists, Dr Carello met the Blairs, ironically, while they were enjoying the hospitality of Sir Cliff Richard in Barbados in 2004.

The two families enjoyed a sumptuous meal together in a beachside restaurant, for which Dr Carello is reported to have picked up the £600 bill.

A former Fiat executive, Dr Carello, 57, has since hosted Cherie Blair and Leo at his £10m villa while they on a visit to the Winter Olympics in Turin.

Dr Carello and his wife, Sara, have become close to the Blairs since Mrs Carello was introduced to Cherie through their mutual work with a cancer charity, Sargent Cancer Care for Children.

    Dr Carello has expressed forthright views on a number of political issues. In 2002, he was one of seven senior businessman who wrote a public letter warning that Britain faced “slow economic decline” if it did not join the euro.;

    The Curse of Blair…cont’d…

With the accusation … which Cliff describes as completely false, Cliff becomes the third hoster of a Mr T Summer Holiday to succumb to the Curse. Mubarak had Blair to stay at his house in Sharm el-Sheikh, Berlusconi entertained him on his yacht, and Cliff put his Bajan villa at the Blairs’ disposal.

If Mr T’s money-making endeavours should ever falter, he could consider recording an updated version of the Cliff classic. “We’re all going on a summer holiday/ No more working for a week or two/ Fun and laughter on our summer holiday/ And a court case somewhere down the line for you.”
