Jack Straw – The Guilty Man Lies 292

My RT interview today giving eyewitness evidence that Jack Straw is lying about his personal complicity in torture. Straw has been allowed to lie repeatedly about his on UK media for the past 24 hours, as have other British establishment figures. Despite the fact that it is infamous that I was sacked by Straw for blowing the whistle on CIA torture, and the undeniable documentary evidence of this, not one UK media outlet has allowed me to contradict Straw. I have contacted every major British news outlet and been blanked by every one.

‘CIA will continue torture with help of mediators’ – UK’s former envoy to Uzbekistan

Yes and yes. On the internet if you are capable of looking.

I think it is you who should ‘shut up’. I liken your numerous posts since 4.17pm to fallen leaves that are blowing around along with litter that the local council seem unable to clear up.

  • Reluctant Observer

So it seems that politely asking if a poster is actually on the up-and-up, when they portray themself as a bright young girl, all wide-eyed and off excitedly travelling around, is a truly terrible thing!

In other words, it’s perfectly acceptable to be a middle-aged man pretending to be “Sofia”, a young woman, and duping contributors who take him at his word. Those gently asking whether might be the case – in the sagely words of Jives himself – “are also part of the worldwide torture programme and are thus also complicit in the horror.” Quite. Of course, nothing less.

Clearly, there is no danger of hyperbole from the faithful here!

The Role of 9/11 in Justifying Torture and War: The Criminalization of the US State Apparatus. Senate Report on CIA Torture is a Whitewash
    By Prof Michel Chossudovsky
    Global Research, December 11, 2014

    http://www.globalresearch.ca/the-role-of-911-in-justifying-torture-and-war-the-criminalization-of-the-us-state-apparatus-senate-report-on-cia-torture-is-a-whitewash/5419222

The words “possible criminal actions” by CIA employees are used in the report.

The terms unethical and immoral are mentioned. The criminality of those who ordered these actions at the highest levels of government, however, is not acknowledged.

The actions directed against alleged jihadists are categorized as ineffective in the process of revealing intelligence. This in itself is a red herring. The objective of torture was not to reveal intelligence.

What of course is not acknowledged is that the alleged terrorists who were tortured were framed by the CIA.

Known and documented the Al Qaeda network is a creation of US intelligence.

    The jihadists are “intelligence assets”.

Torture serves to perpetuate the legend that the evil terrorists are real and that the lives of Americans are threatened.

Torture is presented as “collateral damage.” Torture is an integral part of war propaganda which consists in demonizing the alleged terrorists.

  • Republicofscotland

The Prince of Wales has stepped up pressure on internet providers over the spread of Jihadist beheading videos online warning that it is dragging the world back into “the dark ages of public executions”.

He said everyone had a “duty of care” to the victims and their families to ensure that the graphic images are not shared or broadcast.

His intervention follows warnings from Robert Hannigan, the new head of GCHQ, that Facebook and Twitter have become “command and control centres” for terrorists so-called Islamic State – also known as Isis and Isil.

Last month David Cameron described the internet as an “ungoverned space” and said technology giants must and do more to take down extremist material to “live up to their social responsibilities”.
    ……………………

So Old Droopy chops, HRH, her eldest parasite, Prince Dobby has spoken out about, the availability of information on the internet, under the guise of “Social Responsibilities”

Pfft! That’s a bit rich coming from a Royal, Royal and responsible should never be mentioned in the same sentence, its far to paradoxical.

In my opinion HRH Charles is trying to add weight to David Cameron’s position which is ultimately to somehow censor the last public voice the internet.

“Why do you feel pressure coming from the other way, the left presumably for your own interests, can have no welcome effect?”

I don’t think that. I have problems with parts of the “left”, which could be loosely described as the authoritarian left and the liberal left.

Of course all these labels are problematic because they inevitiably mean different things to different people so I’ll try to explain what I mean.

The authoritarian left being the vanguardist communists who want a “dictatorship of the proletariat” (what Russia quickly became when Trotsky created a secret police and military officer class).

Here, with Craig and some others, I see the liberal left. To be harsh for a simple explanation: these people are comfortable. Politics is an abstraction which quickly turns to pontificating about how people on the other side of the world should live their lives. The empire lives on in this mindset. They are reformist. They have faith in the system (“hey I’ve done not too bad”) and so are constantly surprised at the never ending cruel outcomes. They believe all it needs is a new face at the helm. Someone more kind (“someone like me!”). When this new hero leader ineviatably succumbs to the systematic pressures and corruption the reformist liberals are disappointed yet again. Craig’s embrace of the SNP after so recently having been through this with the Liberal Party is a case in point. In this manner these people actually sustain what they claim to oppose.

I actually think there is lots of positive pressure from the left. I like the notion that the world revolution has been ongoing for the last century and that “we” will win. I recognise the place people like Craig have in this process. I have always applauded him as a whistleblower. It’s just that his judgement is deeply flawed and as an ex establishment lacky he should not be looking to become a professional leader of men again.

You are perfectly correct! I misunderstood the nature of the threat and jumped right in offering advice from a position of ignorance. Please accept my apologies.

  • Robert Crawford

    Craig.

It has taken ten years or more for your claims on torture to recognised.

This is how it works. Imagine the following senario.

Your car is stolen, you report it to the Police, they find it smashed, a total write off, but not the thief.

Ten years later you are having a “deep and meaningful” conversation with your 24 year old son, when he admits, he took the car and smashed it.

Now, ten years later, what is his punishment? Nothing is the answer.

That is why things are put on the “Secrets list”, for 10,20,30,or more years. Because by that time the “fire” or, “anger” has gone out.

Now I understand why “twitter” would not let me post ” there is mutual self preservation at the top”.

You all see that right now.

I have just learned that “Gang Stalking” is what I am experiencing, and have been for many years.

When I looked at “Did You Know” (thank you very much for that) I realised I needed to tell you “not to give away your power”.

Then just now I read the “fear tactics” of the Israeli guy threatening everyone that their devices would not work if we boycotted Israeli goods. I thank him for proving to me and I hope you that giving away your power is stupid.

    WHAT IS YOUR POWER?

Your Power is your MONEY. You give it to them when you buy their products, and make them more powerful than you.

If you want them in your hands so that you can squeezy them, then stop giving away your power. If you don’t they will continue to SQUEEZY YOU.

It works every time and in every situation.

Don’t buy the products of those you disagree with.

A Nation wide boycott of newspapers would help Craig and make the powers that be change their ways or go under.

Money is Power, and Power needs money all the time, and more and more of it.

It is your money to give away, or to hold on to. Or be more selective where and with whom you spend it.

All the very best, you wonderful people.

  • Habbabkuk (la vita è bella)

    Habbabkuk asks Mary:

“But tell me, Mary – are you acquainted with the dead man’s medical history and have you already had access to the findings of the autopsy?”

    Mary replies :

“Yes and yes. On the internet if you are capable of looking.”
    _______________________

I find it curious that Mary – usually so quick with the cut-and-paste – has provided no links and no reference.

Now, that suggest to me that if there is something on the internet, it will refer to the Arab minister’s dodgy medical history and probably say that his death had nothing to do with him being shoved by an Israeli policeman (much less “choked”).

Were the converse to be true, I cannot believe that Mary would not have triumphantly posted the links on here.

  • John Goss

Craig Murray has a case against the government which in a just and fair society would bring him significant compensation. For a man to be sacked for telling the truth about something as horrendous as torture should have got him promotion – not the sack. Now he has been proved right, though few on here doubted it anyway, his entitlement to substantial recompense is clear for all to see: loss of earnings, loss of career advancement, loss of reputation due to Jack Straw’s lies, and so on. All of this should be enough to raise more than an expectant glint in lawyers’ eyes. Whether any challenge would succeed would possibly depend on the wording of Craig’s severence package.

  • John Goss

“That is why things are put on the “Secrets list”, for 10,20,30,or more years. Because by that time the “fire” or, “anger” has gone out.”

That’s certainly what happened, Robert Crawford, in the state-murder of Dr David Kelly.

  • Robert Crawford

    Craig.

    Another mental trick.

Rabbie Burns wrote,” man’s inhumanity to man”. This showed up the difference between “Right and Wrong”.

Shakespear said, ” nothing is bad it is only what your mind makes of it”.

Their minds do not see any wrong in torture and everything else that we don’t like.

If you think it is good, it is good. If you think it is bad, then it is bad.

Applied correctly, this could be helpful, applied to control others, not so helpful, and likely to rebound on the perpetrator.

I am glad I never studied Wullie Shakespear.

The Russians studied Rabbie Burns and liked him so much they built a statue to him in Red Square.

  • Reluctant Observer

Phil – Appreciate your explanation, and for clarification of your personal perspectives, since you seem to be one of the few posters here who genuinely represent themselves.

It seems to me that we are being steadily pulled in very different directions, and it is difficult to predict the outcome. On the one hand, we aspire to greater humanitarianism, and the cry out against toxic governments and wars of choice has never been stronger. Chomsky noted that protests and demonstrations against war, with millions gathered in every involved country, has never before taken place -before- a war had even started.

On the other hand, we have increased concentration of wealth at the top, with increasingly authoritarian right wing administrations at home being countered by other parties who would only do almost exactly the same. Today, Labour announced very modest proposals, which were met with outright lies from the Tories about how Labour had created the entire (worldwide, fanancial institution driven) downturn.

Meanwhile, as we discussed in the immigration thread, massive population growth and environmental destruction is likely to sink us all before very long.

  • Peacewisher

@John: I don’t think anger about the death of Dr Kelly will ever go cold. It’ll continue into the history books…. like the story of Guy Fawkes.

  • Mary

Craig should go to Leigh Day, solicitors, for advice on a case against HMG/Straw. They do a lot of pro bono work.

PS Craig might have signed some agreement which gave the FCO indemnity.

  • Mary

Goodness. The universities have really gone to pot. Who needs a mentor like this?

Alan Rusbridger set to take up new role as head of an Oxford college
Soon-to-be ex-Guardian editor is in line to become principal of the university’s Lady Margaret Hall
    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/media/press/alan-rusbridger-set-to-take-up-new-role-as-head-of-an-oxford-college-9918775.html

    Others in the club.

‘Will Hutton, a former editor-in-chief of The Observer, is principal of Hertford College, Oxford. Mark Damazer, the former controller of BBC Radio 4 is master of St Peter’s College, Oxford. Roger Mosey, who oversaw the BBC’s coverage of the 2012 Olympics, is master of Selwyn College, Cambridge.’

  • John Goss

Thanks Mary and Peacewisher for support.

I’m really busy with other things at the moment, including torture. I was just reading Robert Crawford’s literary translations, and before that thinking of a paraphrase of an old pun, this one however relating to Jack Straw rather than love, something along the lines:

” ‘Tis in his cruel eyes
truth lies, and lies and lies.”

  • jives

Hell of alot of people complaining of gangstalking these days.

All seem to be reporting pretty much identical horrific techniques.

    WTF is going on?

    We seriously need answers.

  • Peacewisher

Things are looking up a little, John. I remember hearing Blair going on about torture and “ruling nothing out, against the axis of evil” on BBC radio 4 in 2005/6… well, if it stops an act of terrorism what’s the problem…? and getting some support for that view. It seems that standards are a little bit higher today.

    ……………………………………………………………………………….

It was a bum rap Habbabkuk.

  • John Goss

“Things are looking up a little, John.”

You want to tell that to Shaker Aamer and family Peacewisher. They won’t allow him to leave Guantanamo because he knows the Brits were involved in his torture. About 12 months ago David Cameron wrote to Shaker’s wife saying how he was doing everything in his power to get Shaker back home. You may recall the open letter I wrote to Cameron virtually calling him a liar, but imploring him to call back the favours for all the innocent people we have extradited to the US because they asked for them. Everybody knows that the Transatlantic Alliance is a one-sided alliance. Nobody needs friends like that. We should court Europe, and to parrot Victoria Nuland, “Fuck the US”. Haven’t quite got the mimicry right yet.

“Middle aged gentlemen with a heart condition should keep away from demonstrations which stand a good chance of turning violent” – discuss.
    ………………………………………………………………………………………………

Why would there be “a good chance of [the demonstration] turning violent” Habbabkuk?

It was a peaceful demonstration by Palestinians on their own land.
The demonstrators were violently put down by the IDF on behalf of the racist Zionist settlers – Jewish violators of international law.

Only a racist Zionist like you would say what you said Habbabkuk – discuss.

  • Reluctant Observer

You’ve hit the bottom with that post, Doug Scorgie!

    —————

Regarding this “gangstalking” which our never-hysterical correspondents appear to be becoming rather exercised. Phil raised a point regarding “Sofia”, to which I followed up with an entirely legitimate request for confirmation.

If a poster here wants to promote an indulgence to their postings (as we surely would treat a bright, but rather inexperienced young lady), is it not only fair to know if we are being quite mischievously duped in that respect ?

Rather than answer a very straightforward question, “Sofia” launches into a rant about torture, the very well known Stanford experiment, and Jives denounces such questions as belonging to those guilty of world-wide mass torture!

Habbakuk follows up indicating his interest into whether “Sofia” is indeed a mature, middle-age man, and suddenly we’re all guilty of “gangstalking”, while the usual gang-mentality types cluck around, circling the wagons.

Whatever “gangstalking” might be, it appears a low hurdle to clear around here! And needless to say – only applied to “the other side”.

  • John Goss

Peacewisher watched the cartoon and should have been ablle to smile but couldn’t. Nobody with a heart could smile at a third of UK residents supporting torture. I find that hard to believe but if it’s true it is one of the reasons I am moving away from human interaction and communicating more with my feathered friends. There is a robin who comes to meet me on my daily walk. Yes I feed him. And another one. And a blackbird. And a blue tit. They have brought me such joy in a world of general hatred. They don’t bomb us, and even when they do, it only hurts our pride, it doesn’t strip flesh from our bodies.

Robins currently at one and five in this photostream. Sorry to have strayed.

  • Peacewisher

Well, John, it is probably the same third that supported the invasion of Iraq, which inevitably would involve the killing and maiming of many thousands of innocent children… which is probably even worse. But the people follow a role model, and with Blair as that from 1997-2007 can we really be surprised? I am dismayed though regarding the new British base in Bahrain btw… when our govt are supposed to be making every effort to get the deficit down.

    Attention fellow shallow truth seekers.
A reminder that Russell Brand and Nigel Farage are on BBC1 Question Time, tonight 10.35pm.

  • John Goss

Thanks Node, I might watch it. Can’t stand Nigel Farage any more than I could stand Enoch Powell. Respect that they both draw (or in Powell’s case drew) followers because of their racist, xenophobic or religionist rhetoric. Russell Brand seems to be able to succeed where Craig fails to keep getting his face on telly. Unless they are trying to work one on him like they tried to do with Craig over the Anna Ardin business. Brand usually comes out on top like Craig did with Gavin Ewart.
