Imported Electoral Practices 90

Every single accusation against the Mayor of Tower Hamlets, I witnessed being done by Lord Patel’s enforcers on behalf of Labour in Blackburn. My thoughts are today with those, particularly women and young people, in the Islamic community there who are now under terrible pressure. They are obliged to show their completed postal ballots before sealing to community elders, often themselves Labour councillors. They are not allowed to vote other than by post. The heads of household who have to enforce discipline on their families are themselves sometimes not happy, but tied in to mostly Gujerati tribal structures of subservience. That this still happens in the United Kingdom in 2015 is disgusting. What is worse is that it happens with the knowing connivance of Labour Party officials and of Blackburn Council.

Remind me again. What precisely qualified Patel to become a member of the House of Lords?

@Suhayl “It is difficult to fight against – or even to enter into discourse against – all three Right-wings..”
Perhaps because the first one, at least, can be worth listening to. Concerning UKIP, without being a supporter of them myself, I would beware of exaggerated criticism.

Yawn, a lot of gnats about tonight. Try keeping to the issue Gnats, its about the UK banana republics farce for a voting system we are talking about, and how the Blackburn Asian community is being harassed by their Labour elders, how weak people and women have their vote stolen.

A sorry tale of violent thuggies who threaten people as they walk into the polling station, and who have manipulated voting for decades with the help and connivance of the authorities.

That is the system our tag gnats defend, for more austerity and more war and more inhumanity all-round.

This from Medialens on the fraudulent Straw men in Blackburn.

    http://members5.boardhost.com/medialens/msg/1429357274.html

But its not just Judge Mawrey who has his reservations about postal votes in Blackburn and Bradford, the Asian media itself is worried that coercion and violence is being used to manipulate the vote.

On the Gordon and Dougie thread I posted about the letter signed by small business leaders supporting Agent Cameron. It was organized by Karren Brady, ennobled by Cameron and one in his endless list of business ambassadors.

It seems as though the list (covered with big Blue fingerprints from CCHQ) has been slightly amended from the original but there are still conservative candidates/associations on the list – I don’t know about the charities (2 of which the DT has removed) and dissolved companies!

as this article points out rich does not mean business and business does not necessarily mean good for everyone!

It’s quite sad, Suhayl, that a party that does not oppose controlled immigration, but is the only party that does oppose the establishment parties’ open-door policy of allowing 620,000 migrants into the country in a single year, should be called “white supremacist far right” by you. Sad and quite pathetic actually.

Furthermore, you accuse UKIP of wanting to “mess up the world”, but I think Nigel Farage has made it abundantly fucking clear that he was opposed to Iraq and Libya, and is opposed to intervention in Syria and Iran, or anywhere else for that matter.

Mary @8.21pm – you missed out the duplicates and the Conservative Clubs on the list – and I spotted a couple of fairly large companies or subsidiaries thereof (Skipton BS and the Ardmore Group). If this is an example of Brady’s attention to detail she should be well quialified to be a Government minister.

I hope you are ok. As you can see from the volume of troll verbiage here, filthy disruption and zionist shilling continues boringly on this blog. If only we could bring back our old friend Larry of St Louis.

I realised as soon as the postal-vote-on-demand came in that this would be the overwhelmingly large proportion of its use. So did Tony Blair. The big big point is as you so clearly imply: there is NO SECRET BALLOT WITH A POSTAL VOTE and exactly the pressures the secret ballot was brought in to stop, from heads of families, employers, religious leaders, landlords etc. are still there.

WTF… Nothing surprises Me about Red Tories Anymore.

Herewe have them in Scotland yet again targeting an Largely Un-informed Age Group –

” More alarmingly, we’ve also seen a fake letter sent to a new SNP member purporting to be from the party, which starts plausibly before urging the recipient to vote Tory on the grounds that an SNP-Labour collaboration couldn’t work.

Despite that ostensible appeal the only logical source for the letter would be Labour supporters seeking to horrify new members who’d almost certainly have come from Labour, and send them back to the party.

” That whoever sent it appears to have access to a database enabling them to target new SNP members is an especially sinister development.

Read this and be very afraid for the future of our NHS. I thought it has been very quiet lately from the likes of Hunt.

Why are GPs being told to hand billions-worth of NHS decisions to private health firms and their lobbyists?
    Tamasin Cave 3 May 2015

Whilst all eyes have been on the election, the government has quietly shifted into stage two of NHS privatisation, generating huge potential conflicts of interest.

‘The whole point of our NHS reforms,’ David Cameron said, is ‘to put the power in the hands of local doctors, so that they make decisions based on what is good for their local area.’

But now new information has emerged in the run-up to the election, showing just how far from the truth this claim is.

Yes, most of the NHS budget was handed to GPs. But they are now handing it over to private firms. It’s phase two of the privatisation project. It is private firms who will determine how and where the NHS budget will be spent (through a process known in NHS speak as commissioning).

Everything from deciding which hospitals stay open, which services are still available on the NHS, and who provides these services, the NHS or the private sector.

As the Observer reveals this morning, the list of approved suppliers bidding for this work – the planning and buying of care – has just quietly been released.

The list is dominated by management consultancies, outsourcing giant, Capita, and US health insurer, UnitedHealth, the previous employer of NHS CEO, Simon Stevens.
