British Security Service Infiltration, the Integrity Initiative and the Institute for Statecraft 617

The British state can maintain its spies’ cover stories for centuries. Look up Eldred Pottinger, who for 180 years appears in scores of British history books – right up to and including William Dalrymple’s Return of the King – as a British officer who chanced to be passing Herat on holiday when it came under siege from a partly Russian-officered Persian army, and helped to organise the defences. In researching Sikunder Burnes, I discovered and published from the British Library incontrovertible and detailed documentary evidence that Pottinger’s entire journey was under the direct instructions of, and reporting to, British spymaster Alexander Burnes. The first historian to publish the untrue “holiday” cover story, Sir John Kaye, knew both Burnes and Pottinger and undoubtedly knew he was publishing lying propaganda. Every other British historian of the First Afghan War (except me and latterly Farrukh Husain) has just followed Kaye’s official propaganda.

Some things don’t change. I was irresistibly reminded of Eldred Pottinger just passing Herat on holiday, when I learnt how highly improbable left wing firebrand Simon Bracey-Lane just happened to be on holiday in the United States with available cash to fund himself, when he stumbled into the Bernie Sanders campaign.

Recent university graduate Simon Bracey-Lane took it even further. Originally from Wimbledon in London, he was inspired to rejoin the Labour party in September when Corbyn was elected leader. But by that point, he was already in the US on holiday. So he joined the Sanders campaign, and never left.
“I had two weeks left and some money left, so I thought, Fuck it, I’ll make some calls for Bernie Sanders,” he explains. “I just sort of knew Des Moines was the place, so I just turned up at their HQ, started making phone calls, and then became a fully fledged field organiser.”

It is, to say the least, very interesting indeed that just a year later the left wing, “Corbyn and Sanders supporting” Bracey-Lane is hosting a very right wing event, “Cold War Then and Now”, for the shadowy neo-con Institute for Statecraft, at which an entirely unbalanced panel of British military, NATO and Ukrainian nationalists extolled the virtues of re-arming against Russia.

Nor would it seem likely that Bracey-Lane would be involved with the Integrity Initiative. Even the mainstream media has been forced to give a few paragraphs to the outrageous Integrity Initiative, under which the MOD-sponsored Institute for Statecraft has been given millions of pounds of taxpayers’ money by the FCO to spread covert disinformation and propaganda, particularly against Russia and the anti-war movement. Activities include twitter and facebook trolling and secretly paying journalists in “clusters of influence” around Europe. Anonymous helpfully leaked the Institute’s internal documents. Some of the Integrity Initiative’s thus exposed alleged covert agents, like David Aaronovitch, have denied any involvement despite their appearance in the documents, and others like Dan Kaszeta the US “novichok expert”, have cheerfully admitted it.

The mainstream media have tracked down the HQ of the “Institute for Statecraft” to a derelict mill near Auchtermuchty. It is owned by one of the company directors, Daniel Lafayeedney, formerly of D Squadron 23rd SAS Regiment and later of Military Intelligence (and incidentally born the rather more prosaic Daniel Edney).

By sleuthing the company records of this “Scottish charity”, and a couple of phone calls, I discovered that the actual location of the Institute for Statecraft is the basement of 2 Temple Place, London. This is not just any basement – it is the basement of the former London mansion of William Waldorf Astor, an astonishing building. It is, in short, possibly the most expensive basement in London.

Which is interesting because the accounts of the Institute for Statecraft claim it has no permanent staff and show nothing for rent, utilities or office expenses. In fact, I understand the rent is paid by the Ministry of Defence.

Having been told where the Institute for Statecraft skulk, I tipped off journalist Kit Klarenberg of Sputnik Radio to go and physically check it out. Kit did so and was aggressively ejected by that well-known Corbyn and Sanders supporter, Simon Bracey-Lane. It does seem somewhat strange that our left wing hero is deeply embedded in an organisation that launches troll attacks on Jeremy Corbyn.

I have a great deal more to tell you about Mr Edney and his organisation next week, and the extraordinary covert disinformation war the British government wages online, attacking British citizens using British taxpayers’ money. Please note in the interim I am not even a smidgeon suicidal, and going to be very, very careful crossing the road and am not intending any walks in the hills.

I am not alleging Mr Bracey-Lane is an intelligence service operative who previously infiltrated the Labour Party and the Sanders campaign. He may just be a young man of unusually heterodox and vacillating political opinions. He may be an undercover reporter for the Canary infiltrating the Institute for Statecraft. All these things are possible, and I have no firm information.

But one of the activities the Integrity Initiative sponsors happens to be the use of online trolls to ridicule the idea that the British security services ever carry out any kind of infiltration, false flag or agent provocateur operations, despite the fact that we even have repeated court judgements against undercover infiltration officers getting female activists pregnant. The Integrity Initiative offers us a glimpse into the very dirty world of surveillance and official disinformation. If we actually had a free media, it would be the biggest story of the day.

As the Establishment feels its grip slipping, as people wake up to the appalling economic exploitation by the few that underlies the very foundations of modern western society, expect the methods used by the security services to become even dirtier. You can bank on continued ramping up of Russophobia to supply “the enemy”. As both Scottish Independence and Jeremy Corbyn are viewed as real threats by the British Establishment, you can anticipate every possible kind of dirty trick in the next couple of years, with increasing frequency and audacity.

Lot’s of interesting stuff in these documents. These people are dangerous and true believers. To think as they must do in order to perform such roles suggests some sort of professed or demonstrated previous aptitude for deceiving, some exploitable split in their psyche, and a known complete lack of integrity. Overpaid and under-employed in their present comfy sinecures, treacherously conspiring against the public.

There’s a dog not barking in the night, a dog which never stirred, was never troubled: the singular absence of any or all reference or connection to the sinister British Broadcasting Corporation, or BBC. As well as brainwashing/wasting and deceiving the people -continuously, this state-owned and controlled prime propaganda organ, the Corporation, equally communicates the establishment narrative to the Integrity-Initiative initiates, in the information war casualty stations and at the crumbling fronts, to fortify them with righteousness and keep them on message, and in sync. This state-broadcaster BBC is surely an important node, conspicuous by its absence in these docs, but of the inner-ring at a higher-level, connected to the diseased brain of the Thing: the mod/mi5/mi6/fco/bastards and through them to the squawking menagerie of the Integrity-Initiative, the as yet still undead polly-parrot pets. The connections cut deep and broad.

This was probably a rival anti-Russian, anti-democracy simply pure evil, state-backed organisation, one of many. Rival to another even more fiendish flock of fecal-disseminators which has not been, might not ever, be exposed. The winner will simply take over, those unprincipled losers involved in Integrity Initiative must hang in the wind, they’re quite hors de combat. Toast I’m afraid. Tragic. Their story: “Planet Earth: My Part in its Destruction” never to be written.

brexit fco update feb 2018 Private – in Confidence: second draft for comment.

[irrelevant security marking as it is now, and always will be, public domain – why don’t these spooks learn and make all their secret dreams (c) Copyright, as it could then be defended from dissemination using the Walt Disney method]

P1 “The Western rules-based system, which most westerners take for granted and have come to believe is “normal”, is under attack from countries and organisations which wish to replace our system with theirs. This is not a crisis which faces us; it is a strategic challenge, and from several directions simultaneously.” [evidence/proof?]

P2 “the world is at war“. [who starts them? Wesley Kanne Clark Sr, US Army retd. can give evidence/proof for this]

P2 “We are today in a constant, existential competition with these [РФ, CN] and all other actors in the global ecosystem, be they nation states, sub-state groups or big corporations. Our success in this competition will be guaranteed only if we learn to cope with change as they have and, like them, think and plan on a long-term basis” [yes!]

[but fk fk fk look at how the institute for warcraft OF THE FCO in a memo TO THE FCO propose to remedy this]

P3 “in all sorts of institutions – government departments, big companies, the NHS – the conclusion is that we need to look for people who have abilities that suit a wartime environment” [yes folks, world war three is being embedded in the choice by the grey men of our next nebulous leader]

I just hope this is all made-up russki propoganda!

I must be speaking and reading some alternative English dialect the that spoken by Molloy. This post was incomprehensible to me the first time round and it still is.

      • Ken Kenn

        May Paul!

I read that as he/she thinks that the BBC in particular are the main eulogisers of the mainstream narrative.

        I agree – they are.

It is a node( a popular point of contact and dissemination ) for the masses of what is known as the wisdom of the crowd.

If you can win over the crowd with something that is untrue or false you can rule the world.

It becomes a given and then historically resides in the annals of conventional wisdom. Thereby becoming a fact.

The thing is – is that a fact stands as true on its own merits and exists independently of analysis.

The question is whether we can reveal or discover that fact.

The BBC and others are not even bothering to try and find the facts.

In my opinion the PTB are not so much trying to unpeel the layers of the onion – they are adding layers in order to try and confuse us all.

That is their role. Consciously or unconsciously.

  • Jeremn

    Those hacked documents were useful.

Here is some info from the FCO itself. Their payments over £25,000 for the month of August 2018. Institute of Statecraft gets a couple of mentions. BBC seems to get around 7 million a month.

    https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/747746/Spend_over__25K_August_2018.csv/preview

Looked at the one for October, too. US Department of Defence gets 600,000. The Atlantic Council Digital Forensic Lab gets £450,000. That’s Captain BenNimmo’s crew.

Interesting. £7M a month for that vipers’ nest?

Ever get the impression that this ‘data dumping’ is planned?

Given that brexit was a SCL/CA/FB directed operation using illegal funding and voter manipulation – what do you suppose?

        • Blunderbuss

I tried Wikipedia but none of these seems very likely:

SCL = Seaboard Coast Line Railroad
          CA = Air China
          FB = Bulgaria Air

          • Blunderbuss

Remainers are Remainers but Brexiteers are a very diverse bunch, including:

            1) Racists, the Remainers think that all Brexiteers are racists
            2) Anti-tariff people, who want to force down wages
            3) Pro-tariff people (I am one) who want to restrict imports, revive the British engineering industry and push up wages

There are probably other groups too, but I think these are main ones.

          • Nick

SCL Group, Cambridge Analytica, Facebook. Your analysis of Remainers and Leavers strikes me as equally accurate.

          • Blunderbuss

            @Nick

Do you mean as accurate as my Wikipedia research? How would you categorize Remainers and Leavers?

    • Radar O’Reilly

The fco “institute for statecraft” sent a position paper on brexit to the fco, calling brexit simply a ‘revolution’. They also predicted a worst case of the UK civil service collapsing with the magnitude of the changes, suggesting that they re-hire experienced senior fco staff (Job for you Craig!)

They (IfS) also claim that the civil service seems to be stuck in a groupthink of managing the decline of the country, they’ve lost all spirit, though to be fair to the fco, they were under Boris’s ‘leadership’ when this memo was written.

This particular memo is even handed, just honest in the kerfuffle that will hit, someone will have to look deeper for potentially biased Integrity Initiative tweets/emissions on the exit process. Hopefully some university is mapping the II ‘nudger’ list’s published works in the last few years against an AI ML trained emotional/sentiment analysis system?

      • Blunderbuss

I expect IfS has a hand in Smart Meters and the Internet of Things too. These will be great for spying on people in their own homes.

        • Sylvia

I know of a Housing Assoc in Glasgow installing ,Hyperoptic Fibre (backed by Georfe Soros) connection directly into all its flats. When I heard this,I thought the same as you. A bit ‘worrying’ when your aware of connections the Senior Management have.

          • MaryPau!

I have managed not to have one either despite some mendacious threats by EDF. But fear not, my family members who have them report they do not work properly and they have been getting estimated bills. And it seems they will all have to be replaced anyway as different suppliers machines are incompatible. In any case they transmit over the mobile phone network so if you have a mobile you can be tracked.

          • Richard Dido

Neither do I and I flatly refuse to have one, despite constant nudging from my supplier and other agencies via e-mail.

        • Ken Kenn

You don’t need that – just use your computer and join Facebook.

Oh – I forget and use Alexa.

Try the phrase: ” Alexa are you spying on me?”

There is a long running tradition of this sort of thing from the Foreign Office. From the late 1940s to the late 70s we had the Information Research Department which pumped out black propaganda for unattributable use among its ‘friends’ in the British media and abroad too. One of the best things that David Owen did was to wind it up (the other was to force the publication of the Rhodesia sanctions busting report). In addition in the 1970s we had Operation Clockwork Orange that started as a black propaganda unit in Northern Ireland. Soon under army and security agency control it morphed into an anti-Harold Wilson and Labour government operation with links to the coup plotters. Colin Wallace spilt the beans on this and was then sent to prison for a murder he didn’t commit. It took him years to clear his name. All that’s happened now is that they realise it’s safer to put these activities out to the private sector where they can claim deniability.

    • TroutMaskReplica

Lobster Magazine has a lot of good stuff on the Information Research Dept. and the NI Colin Wallace affair.

I know this is probably nothing, but searched for; sentinel “Chris Hernon”

    and came up with this:
    https://www.nodexlgraphgallery.org/Pages/GraphML.ashx?graphID=147511

This downloads an xml file, which I assume would load an elegant NodeXL graph charting a network. Interesting hashtags in the google description of the link “#OpenData #Data #Copernicus #Sentinel #Cyber #Innovation #Disruption”

I’m having trouble seeing the graph though (don’t have excel I use Libre). I’ve been reading through the xml file (over 100k lines) as txt, including profile for Hernon, but feel like an illiterate caveman thinking he has something but probably just staring at a pretty stone. It talks about ‘sounding human’ etc with relentless twitter accounts, so I’m thinking automated tweets network, but more likely just some snapshot of some irrelevant network. No idea what I’m looking at.

Does anyone know what it shows or can have a look?

      • Clark

        “Friends of NodeXL include:

        – Dan Fay (Microsoft Research Redmond)
        – Eric Gleave (formerly at University of Washington, now at Booz Allen Hamilton)
        – Adam Perer (formerly at University of Maryland, now at IBM Research)
        – Annika Hupfeld, (Microsoft Research Cambridge) “

Ten foot pole; I wouldn’t touch it with one.

      You can freely download yEd.
      Use the treeview.
tt’s a presentation of social networks, relations between twitter accounts, &c.

      • bj

I find that in yEd, you need to have the graph in ‘Edit’ mode in order to –when clicking on an edge– see the interesting stuff in the Properties window on the lower right; in Navigate mode that doesn’t seem to work, oddly enough.
Be sure to undo any accidental edits then.

    • bj

My take: it’s some kind of example graph from a twitter account #datajournalism, to show how you can visualize (social) networks.

    • flatulence'

Thanks very much Clark and bj. Worth a try but I agree appears to be nothing much. Twitter profile gathering and network diagram which happens to contain a profile for Chris Hernon, and a fair few other “data people” strangely. Chris H, by the way, is (or was when this was made) someone who looks like he works in “The Office” from his profile picture, located in Reading, married to a Ukrainian…

I’ve never seen a queen or princess alive. For me, they are like far away images from movies and fairy tales.

I’ve got a funny story about a princess, a russian macho-man and diplomacy.

          • Tatyana

Oh, just found it translated, here you are:

“The real art of negotiations. Level: God.”

Henry Kissinger was once asked to explain what shuttle diplomacy is.

            – Oh! It is a never-failing old Jewish method. Let me give you an example. Suppose you want to marry Rockefeller’s daughter to a lad from a Siberian village.

            – How would you do that?

            – Easy. I go to a Siberian village, find there a young man and ask him, “Would you like to marry an American Jew?”

He says, “Why?! We’ve got awesome girls here!”

“Well, but she is the daughter of a billionaire.”

He says: “Oh! This changes everything…”

Then I go to Switzerland, walk into a large bank’s board meeting and ask, “How would you like to have a simple Siberian man to be your bank’s President?”

            “Oh, hell no!”

“What if I told you he is Rockefeller’s son-in-law?”

            “Oh! This changes everything…”

So then I go see Rockefeller and ask, “Would you like your daughter to marry a Russian peasant?”

“What do you mean?! Everyone in my family is in banking.”

“I should mention that, he is actually a Swiss bank President.”

“Oh! This changes everything… Susie, come here, my child. Mr. Kissinger found you a good fiancee. He is the president of a large Swiss bank.”

“Ew! All big bankers are punies or gays!”

And I say, “Well, this one is a strong Siberian macho-man.”

            “Oh! This changes everything…”

          • Tatyana

Attributed to Kissinger, I’m not sure it is true.
Also, I think the correct term is ‘mediation diplomacy’
Nevermind, let it be as it is.

Saudi Arabia is a family sectocracy. God does not permit most of the things the Saudi sectocracy does to men, women or children. Unfortunately it sets a bad example to the other family sectocracies around the world, Brunei, Turkey, England, et al.

1918: Prince arrives and kisses Sleeping Beauty. SB wakes up, they fall in love at first sight, get married and live happily ever after.

Now suppose she fell asleep for 200 years:

2018: Prince arrives and kisses Sleeping Beauty. SB wakes up and screams. “Get off me you vile chauvinist pig. I was asleep so I couldn’t consent and this is sexual assault”. Prince is arrested and imprisoned and SB goes to sleep for another 100 years.

This is what would happen in Britain but it might be different in Russia.

            It is really funny!
I know, another kind of gender behavior has developed in the West.

            Some examples are simply stupid.
I’ve seen articles about parents, who do not tell their children their gender, saying ‘he/she will decide for himself when adult”.
Stories about men, who feel he is a woman, thus allowed to lady’s WC, women’s sport competitions, rooms for girls at student’s campus etc.

Are you going to be totally unisex society?

          • Tatyana

I suppose ‘male or female’ is a very simple question to answer.
After all, if a person is not sure how to determine what he/she observed under his/her pants, there are anatomical reference books or medical specialists ready to offer a consultation.

I may be wrong, I feel strong pressure on western people to be over-tolerant. I mean, there are needs of some social groups, those needs are not vital, just a question of good-will and politeness. Nevertheless, all socitety in its whole is obligated to care of the feelings of those groups, inventing new approaches, new behavior patterns, saying ‘it is OK, it is new reality’ though it directly contradicts the most simple natural facts .

  • Clark

The Western mainstream “Russian bots” theory is a conspiracy theory, because like all conspiracy theories it consists of hardly anything beyond attributing an invented motive to the accused. “Ian56 is a Russian bot” is structurally identical to “Clark is a supporter of the official narrative”, which I often get accused of at this site.

It is highly ironic that as the Western mainstream media accuses people of being “Russian bots”, the FCO funds Integrity Initiative that pushes the “Russian bots” conspiracy theory through “clusters of influence” in European media and some 600 Twitter accounts. Positive feedback must eventually trigger a tipping point, where conspiracy theories multiply so rapidly that they collapse under their own mass and form a black hole.

    • Makropulos

“Conspiracy theory” is a term bandied about to block a certain line of enquiry. But there are conspiracies and they happen all the time. What I mean is that there are always groups who meet in private to make plans that affect others without the others’ knowledge. This is practically the definition of a government. Cf. Yes Minister: “Open government is a contradiction it terms. Either you can be open or you can have a government.”

Also there is a big difference between calling someone a “Russian bot” and calling them a “supporter”.

There is also a big difference between the “conspiracy theory” represented by public suspicion of an event and the government sponsored and endlessly funded maintenance of such a theory. The current “Russian bots” theory will continue to be given to establish a certain mood. It will not “collapse under its own weight”. The mainstream media have never cared about implausibility. They will simply continue to push it until they deem it no longer necessary at which point it will disappear down the memory hole.

      • Molloy

        .

Agreed. Also “conspiracy whatever” is a phrase often employed by the ignorant (not you Mak!) whilst attempting to undermine, gaslight and generally be Divisive.

The term “conspiracy theory” is also used by socialists and anarchists, in contrast to “political theory”. The difference you highlight between government-generated conspiracy theories, and conspiracy theories that arise among the public, is a difference of class; the mass media, the powerful and the governments have more resources to promote their own conspiracy theories, and ridicule others’. They are currently resorting to conspiracy theories because neoliberalism, their favoured political theory, is increasingly discredited. Thus we see Les Gilets Jaunes dismissed as “anti fuel tax protestors”, when in fact they are anti-poverty, anti-neoliberalism protestors:

        I do not.
Partisangirl and Ian56 were presented as samples of ‘russianbottery’.
Proved wrong, it rises question of methodology and conclusions.
No methods of discovering ‘russian bots’ were used, other than the emotional statement ‘these accounts were very active’.

I had ‘nice’ conversation at Quora. People said I’m russian troll because I doubt British government’s narrative.

        • Clark

Tatanya, the reason I agreed is because Johny Conspiranoid used the word “could”. In practice, you are right. Ahh, “could”, and his brother, “should”. Those making accusations that certain on-line identities are “bots” should have some criteria for identification, but it seems they do not.

So the most favourable to Labour polling company has Labour +1 ahead of the worst government in history after its worst ever week. Every other polling organisation puts the Tories in front. This is what happens when you have a student protest movement in oppostion.

    • giyane

Student protest movement. This is what happens when you have a prime minister in government who admires Mrs Thatcher for nearly 3 decades, subverting all debate with deadly conservative spin and trashing Muslim countries for Israel. The current opposition by definition must pre-date Blair or have started after donkey Brown in 2010. As a matter of interest where were you in that lost thirty years. Craig is still flying the Thatcher Blair EU flag at top mast like a raven perched on a Gothic castle in Bavaria.

All Corbyn wants to do is to stop first world bullying in order to create a global connection to the new world rulers with a sensible centrally controlled banking system viz China. If you’re in a hole, and we are in a very deep hole because our military equipment is rendered useless by Russia and China’s new weapons, stop digging. There is no point whatsoever in remaining allied to the old order, the EU , NATO, and the UN. It really doesn’t matter one jot how many Institutes for Integrity or arsewipes for anuses the West creates it, the West, is Kaput.

Corbyn has retained that twinkle of amazing inner vision from before the dark days of Thatcher + wanker Tories and Blair + tosspot Blue Labour, recidivist-colonial, war-criminal thinking. China and Russian power has been tasted in Syria and all well-advised people should be engaging with them. Or else… I am very grateful for Jeremy Corbyn having maintained his student vision through three decades of war-mongering neo-liberal gloom.

        • giyane

          Thanks Blunderbuss.
No danger of Mrs May’s lip-reading skills mistaking that one. Wikipedia says blunderbuss comes from Dutch thunder-box. A front-loading, hand-held, miniature cannon for use on horse-back and piracy. Bring back the days when the British monarch licensed privateers/ proxies to attack enemy craft. Oh silly me we still do that. It’s called Islamic state and armed with weapons that shoot one bullet for the West’s every thousand.

I still think, if as Craig says the British are still engaged in old and tested methods of subverting the political process, he should join Jeremy Corbyn’s opposition to those evil practices first, to defeat them, and then take independence for Scotland for services rendered to the cause of British freedom from US and Zionist domination. Not just wait for the Scottish ash to drop off the burning cigarette of British FCO stupidity. Will Scotland give us English asylum when the expensive fag of British colonial power has burned to its natural end?

I have been watching an excellent documentary on RT about the creation of Alstom, the giant French engineering company and its acquisition by General Electric. Sold, bought and paid for under the hands of Alstom’s CEO, Patrick Kron.
    https://www.rt.com/shows/documentary/438233-french-national-energy-economy/
Look out for it on RT’s live feed [https://www.rt.com/schedule/ ] and read the comments under the link above.

Some truly investigative journalism that the BBC and ITV is no longer capable of producing.

A British company was owned by Alstom, Amersham, who produce radiopharmaceuticals. When I last worked in Nuclear Mediciine, supplies were coming from Germany rather than from within the UK.

OK on Alstom, I also remember the UK in the 1980’s when Siemens seemed to buy *everything* engineering related in the UK https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruston_(engine_builder) (for example)

Sharp Ears, I do remember. In the ’80s I lived near the British Rail rolling stock factory in York. I remember the hordes of cyclists who took over Holgate Road every day when their shift ended.

I also remember that the UK used to build its own research reactors, producing its own radioisotopes. Before my time, but from 1956 to 1959, the UK built the experimental fast breeder reactor at Dounreay in just three and a half years. An incredibly ambitious project in the most remote part of Scotland, nothing like it had ever been built before, anywhere in the world. Many might object to that project, but it’s an example of what the UK was capable of, well over half a century ago. Now we can’t even run a bus service right.

    • giyane

      Sharp Ears

My memory, from doing a few weeks in Stafford on a workshop that had been bought by Alstom, that they’d bought the factory from General Electric, for whom my great uncle had worked for years as a mechanical engineer after fighting in Burma for a time. He often complained that companies which had been kitted out at vast expense were subsequently trashed and asset-stripped for no apparent benefit or reason.

When Mrs Thatcher deliberately trashed UK engineering which had been built up over generations, little did she know she would be a role model for her Tory successors to deliberately trash a highly successful and regenerated manufacturing industry inside the European Union. What we are witnessing today is more radical Thatcherist politics from the unscrupulous ALT Right of the Tories who understand that unless you trash the bedrock of industrial manufacturing every generation, the working classes get back above their station,
Brexit is just another Tory tool for putting the British people under the Tory thumb again.

  • Tony M

It’s a study in projection. There can be no doubt in the mind of any serious student, that Russia is, by far, the more wronged than wrong.

Down through the years: from the Russso-Japanese war of 1905 when Japan could call on limitless western arms and loans; through WW1 when Russia’s collapse was prioritised over Germany’s; to the aiding and recognising of a hostile minority of thieves and mass-murderers sat atop the bloodsoaked mass-murdering Bolshevik regime of Lenin and Trotsky; to conjuring the demon Hitler to assail Russia, when Stalin proved a less obliging monster, to have Russia and Germany again at each others throats. To the cold war: the necessity of toppling any alternative to rapacious planet-spoiling people-whipping Capitalism, even an equally dystopian mirror-image of itself; through provocation and outrages of the imported mujahadeen in Afghanistan, leading to ‘invasion’ of that country, prolonging it, till a generation of Russians had been bled dry there; and with a parallel economic warfare blunting its exports’ worth; to precipitating its collapse then methodically setting about the wholesale criminal looting of the country, of its reserves, of everything and even of that nailed-down. Increasing by orders of magnitude the severity of the hardship which the long-suffering population had to endure.

Today provocations upon provocations, an atmosphere of extreme ill-will on one side: The West. And irrationality -bucketloads of it, no sane person could think the things they think, harp on inviolable holy truths, which are anything but, they’re freshly-minted patent lies. No more credible now than when they were first launched on a wearied and wise beyond grasp populace. Morally bankrupt, economically unsustainable the west’s finance-war man-machine is strung-out, lean on littler, weakened prey.

We are many, we will that you stop, we’re not buying it, won’t have it.

A bit O/T, but a neat snippet from Eric Zuesse over at Strategic-culture, showing who the enemy of peace really is – and it’s not Russia. Oh to be so — ‘exceptional’, and ‘indispensable’!
      —-
On Tuesday, 11 December, the US House of Representatives voted unanimously …. that President Donald Trump should impose penalties, which could amount to billions of dollars, against any EU-based corporation that participates with Russia in Russia’s Nord Stream II Pipeline to supply gas to Europe. This “Resolution,” H.Res.1035, is titled “Expressing opposition to the completion of Nord Stream II, and for other purposes,” and it closes by asserting that the US House of Representatives “supports the imposition of sanctions with respect to Nord Stream II under section 232 of the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act.” With no member objecting, the US House thereby warns corporations to cease doing business with Russia, because the US Government is determined that any such business will be terminated and will maybe also be fined. The US Government imposes its will as if it were the dictator to the entire world, and without even needing to use its military, but just economic coercion.
