Does anyone know if a post-war political history of the UK through cartoons has been written (I have seen one on the Labour Party)? I have always thought that it would be an excellent way to help foreign students of English; as well as an invaluable teaching tool for students of history and sociology who respond better to visual stimuli than the written word. I will ask the Cartoon Museum if such a volume might be on the stocks.
A few years ago I was cruising at 90 mph as chauffeur for a businessman in customer’s BMW on the M40 and an unmarked police car slunk up beside me in the fast lane, to have a look.
